Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,
The Israeli “Final Solution” is neither original nor creative. It stands as yet another sad attempt –tried and failed– by ill-informed and unimaginative technocrats seeking to ape past exploits which resulted in disaster for the people they pretend to protect. Once again, the self-proclaimed leaders are found to be their own worst enemies. Their muscle-bound ideology, taken from another era, cannot stand the test of time. They have failed, and it cannot be salvaged. Stalin was wrong: concerning “the national question,” the tent has collapsed on the camel’s nose. This authoritarian ideology has paralyzed its enthusiastic proponents by its sheer bulk; they are unable to move forward.
There can only be misunderstandings of the present crises in the world without taking into account the modern histories of Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan. The past experiences of these populations in relation to the rest of the world have produced the context for political and ideological developments that we see unfolding today. The practiced technique of “divide-and-rule” has produced many investment opportunities for corporate capitalists, with the benefit of new technologies, to enter the arena of global dominance in pursuit of their short-term self-interests.
In brief, the powers-that-be know now HOW to go, but they fail to understand WHERE to go.
The belated future of democracy will unfold only in a context of “privately poor and publically rich” societies, where there is the absence of “artificial scarcity.” Social well being, and NOT private profit, will be the measure of every political act.
Genocide must be taken off the agenda, now!

Organized by the group No Tech for Apartheid, the protesters are demanding Google withdraw from Project Nimbus, a $1.2 billion contract to provide cloud computing services to the Israeli military. “Google execs basically chose to arrest workers for speaking out against the use of our technology to power the first AI-powered genocide,” says Google software engineer Mohammad Khatami, who was arrested in New York. Google worker-organizer Ray Westrick, who was arrested occupying CEO Thomas Kurian’s office, says “more people are willing to organize and risk their jobs in order to take a stand against complicity in genocide.” We also speak with No Tech for Apartheid organizer and former Google worker Gabriel Schubiner, who calls on the tech industry to divest from Google and Amazon services. “Technology workers actually have a lot of power to shift this paradigm and to remove technology from this deep complicity with the Israeli occupation,” Schubiner says.

“Becoming Who We Are”

What does it mean now, in the spring of 2024, to be … and we can each finish this thought as we wish. What does it mean to be Swiss, or German, or French, or Italian, or American? The answers will be different in their particulars, one case to another, but in the main we are likely to find ourselves in approximately the same place: It is difficult to say with any great confidence now what it means to be who we are.
We—we in the West—seem to be in a peculiar circumstance of uncertainty on this point. We cannot be quite sure how to answer this question—a question it would not have occurred to us to ask even a few years ago. And we find that to be French, or Italian, or American does not seem to mean quite what we have, as a matter of belief or habit or presumption, for a long time thought it to mean.
What it means to be American seems to me an especially freighted matter. I honestly cannot tell you straight out what it means to be an American in the year 2024. But this I can say with certainty: It means some things it is not supposed to mean, things I would rather it did not mean. And, I am caused to wonder, given our exceptional circumstances this year, whether being an American has ever truly meant what it is supposed to mean by way of the ideals we Americans profess as the foundation of our identity.
Is it fair that I say we find ourselves at this point in the 21st century no longer sure of who we are? I think so. And when I say “we,” I mean we in the West, as I think it is a different story in the non–West. I do not think, to drive home this point, the Chinese, or the Russians, or the Indians, or the South Africans, or Nicaraguans are spending much time, or any time at all, wondering what it means to be who they are.
One of Nietzsche’s more celebrated aphorisms, and one I have long admired, is very simply “Become who you are.” He meant this in a very personal way—the imperative of the individual to realize the self within, the true self as against the self our societies require us to present, or perform. Spinoza made this point much earlier when he said the hardest thing anyone can do is be who he or she is. I find it useful now to propose that our shared project—we, the people of the West—is to become truly who we are together.
I mean to say our certainty of ourselves has been dislodged. This is the work of the very extraordinary events amid which we now live. And here I will make a clear distinction. Our idea of ourselves has been shaken by events in which we are implicated and for which we bear responsibility, but this is not all there is to it. Our idea of ourselves has been disturbed as much or even more as we look at ourselves and see how we have responded to these events. To me our discovery of ourselves by way of events and our responses to them is a very powerful source of the disturbance to our consciousness I describe.

“War in the New Normal – slaughtering your Proles for convenience, fun & profit”

There was a discussion on OffG recently under the latest column by CJ Hopkins, about whether the current spate of wars were “real”.
Opinion was sharply divided. Binary you might say.
On reading it the thing that occurred to me was that before you can have a meaningful discussion about whether or not a thing is “real” you need to agree upon a definition for that word.
What is “real” in terms of war?
Our standard definition can be summed up as a situation in which the oligarchies/monarchies of two or more nation states decide to compete over some land or resources by sending in proxy armies of obedient proles to fight and die for their masters. After an acceptable interval the side whose proles have died in the smallest numbers or who have held on to the most strategic territory will be deemed to have “won” and peace can be allowed to return, while the victorious oligarchs/monarchs enjoy their spoils.
That’s the classic definition of “real” war as we are encouraged to understand it, and most wars of the past are parsed within this understanding. There will usually be additional, often spurious, moral binaries applied to the combatants, but this doesn’t change the basic concept of what “real” war entails.
But what if things get a little more fuzzy?
What if oligarchies and monarchies see other advantages in war beyond a basic means of increasing land or riches?
What if Oligarchy A has some social unrest going on at home and wants to get those troublemakers out of their hair, so they decide to invade the territory of Oligarchy B and just muss things up for a while until the social unrest is forgotten? Or what if it’s more complicated and Oligarchy A has the social unrest going on but also really wants to get their hands on some of Oligarchy B’s lovely natural resources.
Is the ensuing conflict a “real” war?
Probably most of us would say yes. Wars are messy things fueled by many interlocking motives and pressures.
But then what if Oligarchy B also sees the advantage of starting this war – because they too have social unrest at home etc etc?
So both sides invent an essentially bogus casus belli against the other and launch their armies into the killing zone.
Is this war of mutual oligarchical benefit still “real”?
And how about if the oligarchies become a little more sophisticated in their appreciation of class interests and have a chat about their mutual benefit and agree that, while a war is rather useful to them right now, they don’t want to get silly about it and risk things getting out of hand, so they will have some ground rules that ensure only the expendable die and all the most important infrastructure and all oligarchical fortunes are left intact.
Are we still justified in defining any ensuing bloodbath as a “real” war?
The deaths are certainly real.
But death isn’t the definition of war.
Conflict is the definition of war.
Two oligarchies mutually agreeing to send their proles to kill each other for mutually beneficial reasons is arguably the very opposite of conflict.
So – would this be “real” war – or mass murder for convenience?
I don’t think this is a semantic or trivial question.

Israelis aren’t the only demographic among the IDF’s forces in Gaza. Foreign fighters from as far away as the United States, France, Spain, the Netherlands and even India actively participate in the hostilities. While the exact number of internationals fighting in Gaza isn’t known, what is known is that citizens from numerous countries appear to be at least complicit in what has been called a genocide.
Under Israel’s Law of Return, any individual with at least one Jewish grandparent or spouse can obtain Israeli citizenship. In this regard, many born abroad can serve in Israel’s military while still keeping their birthplace’s nationality. They often emigrate and then serve in the army.
Currently, 45% of the Israeli army’s “lone soldiers,” those who serve but don’t have family in Israel, are new immigrants. The current “lone soldier” program has troops from over 60 countries, with approximately 35% from the U.S. It’s important to note, though, that individuals part of Israel’s “lone soldier” program are not considered mercenaries, who are professionals hired by a country’s government to fight in its war and aren’t citizens of said country.

Iran’s retaliatory attack on Israel was framed in the West as a reckless attempt to spark a major regional war, but in reality, Israel has been attacking Iran for decades.
As is routinely the case with Western-backed wars, the corporate media’s timeline begins at the moment that suits their narrative. We have seen this play out recently, with the attempt to rob the Gaza war of all contexts before October 7, 2023. Similarly, when it comes to Israel’s conflict with Iran, the two have been embroiled in what is referred to as a “shadow war,” the details of which are pretty shocking.
While the international media’s attention was riveted on Iran’s retaliatory strikes against Israel, drawing great focus to some 300 drones and missiles used in the attack, no major deal was made of Israel’s strike on April 1 against the consular segment of Iran’s embassy in Damascus, Syria, that killed a dozen people, including seven Iranian officials of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). In this unprecedented act of aggression against Iranian soil, breaking international diplomatic norms, the Israelis were shielded by the U.S. government at the United Nations Security Council, blocking any condemnation of this act.
Despite an admission from British Foreign Secretary David Cameron that had the UK embassy been attacked similarly, they too would retaliate, the double-standard argument that Iran shouldn’t respond continues to dominate the airways.

Israel’s long known open secret is its formidable nuclear arsenal. Less is known about its chemical and biological weapons (CBW) capability. More on that below.
In his 1991 book titled “The Samson Option: Israel’s Nuclear Arsenal and America Foreign Policy,” Seymour Hersh discussed its strategy to launch massive nuclear counterattacks in response to serious enough threats.
In his 1997 book titled “Open Secrets: Israeli Nuclear and Foreign Policies,” Israel Shahak said Israel won’t hesitate using nuclear or other weapons to advance its “hegemony over the entire Middle East.”
In 2006, former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told Germany’s Sat. 1 channel:
“Iran, openly, explicitly and publicly, threatens to wipe Israel off the map. Can you say that this is the same level, when they are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel and Russia?”
Later he denied what viewers clearly heard him say. Calls for him to step down followed. So did accusations of ineptitude for acknowledging Israeli nuclear weapons publicly.
Israel always stuck to its nuclear ambiguity position. Olmert later backtracked. Damage control didn’t assuage criticism. Opposition party members called him irresponsible.
Meretz party member Yossi Beilin said:
“The prime minister’s amazing statement regarding nuclear capability indicates a lack of caution bordering on irresponsibility.”
Olmert’s approval rating plunged. Aides tried frantically to limit damage. His spokesman, Miri Eisin, said his comments didn’t mean Israel had or wants nuclear weapons.
Of course, the cat was out of the bag after Mordechai Vanunu revealed it 20 years earlier. Damage control made things worse. Vanunu welcomed Olmert’s admission, accidental or otherwise. He hoped he said it intentionally, saying:
“For 20 years, they tried to deny me and my story, but the policy of cheating and lying didn’t succeed.”
Changes are taking place, he added. He hoped his situation would improve. It didn’t. He still chafes under repressive Israeli policies. Practically under house arrest, he’s harassed. His fundamental rights are denied. He wants his citizenship revoked and permission to leave, but Israel won’t grant either right.
He’s a legend in his own time. He only wants to live free. After what Israel put him through for decades, he deserves that much and more.
Israel refuses to discuss its nuclear capability. Others are less reticent. On May 4, Haaretz headlined “Israel’s atomic arsenal could fall victim to a new US nuclear policy,” saying:
Visiting Hiroshima last February, escorts “drew (Israeli Defense Secretary Ehud Barak’s) attention to a map of the world listing the number of nuclear warheads in the possession of the atomic powers. There is a number next to Israel’s name, too: ’80.’ Barak did not respond.”
Most experts believe Israel has hundreds of warheads and sophisticated long-range delivery systems.
“According to a (late 1990s) secret document of the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency….leaked during the period of the George W. Bush administration, Israel had ’60 to 80′ nuclear warheads in 1999.”
The Pentagon updates its data regularly. It keeps close watch on all nuclear powers and suspected ones like North Korea.
Israel never signed the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT). In 1969, Nixon and Prime Minister Golda Meir mutually agreed that Israel’s nuclear capability wouldn’t harm relations. In 1998, so did Clinton and Netanyahu. In 2009, Obama continued past policy.
Expect change eventually. Israel’s belligerency over Iran’s peaceful nuclear program may “boomerang” on its military one.

By attacking the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Netanyahu sought to escape the inevitable reality of a bitter military failure and to restore Israel’s illusion of power. As is often the case, he managed to do the exact opposite.
It’s difficult to overestimate the importance of the operation launched by Hamas and factions of the Palestinian Resistance on October 7, which forever annihilated the prestige of the Israeli army. Yet the strikes launched by Iran on April 13 and 14 are also truly historic.
For the first time, the backbone of the Axis of Resistance targeted Israel directly from its territory, launching the largest missile attack ever recorded against Israel and the largest drone attack in history. We have entered a whole new phase in the Arab-Israeli and Persian-Israeli conflict, and this is the final one as all the taboos have now been broken, and new equations have been established.
Israel’s deterrence capacity no longer exists. Since October 7, Hamas, Hezbollah, Ansar Allah and the Iraqi Resistance have shattered it. Still, these were Resistance movements, not a State with much more to lose. This direct action by Iran is all the more significant as Israel has been threatening to bomb Iran for decades without ever daring to do so, while Iran very quickly carried out its threats.

The head of Israel's military intelligence has resigned, saying he takes responsibility for the lapse in security on October the 7th. Major General Aharon Haliva is the first senior figure to quit after the Hamas attack. Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith is in occupied East Jerusalem for the latest. Akiva Eldar, an Israeli author and former columnist with Haaretz newspaper, says Major-General Halavi quit likely because Netanyahu isn’t going to end the war on Gaza anytime soon. Eldar added another reason is that the prime minister “is not interested in bringing the captives back to Israel”. “Netanyahu is the highest authority and he never took responsibility [for the Hamas attack] so Haliva wanted to send a personal message to tell him, ‘If I can do it, you can do it,’” he said. His move will energise antigovernment protests while putting more pressure on war cabinet members Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot. “It will create a dynamic that will make it harder for them to convince their constituencies that they have a good reason to stay,” said Eldar. “If Haliva felt it was a time to say goodbye, many will call on them to step down since they were also part of this lack of strategy to end the conflict with the Palestinians.”

President Biden demanded Netanyahu not to risk a large-scale war, to be soft with his retaliation.
By contrast, Biden must have given Netanyahu green light to do away with Rafah, where currently more than a million Palestinians are stranded – bombed from the North of Gaza to the southern tip, Rafah, the locked gate to Egypt.

“Massive Israeli Airstrike Against Rafah in the Southern Part of the Gaza Strip”

Israeli strikes hit the southern Gaza city of Rafah Saturday night into Sunday morning, killing 22 people, including 18 children, The Associated Press reported.
The bombardment came just hours after the US House of Representatives passed a $26 billion bill that includes about $17 billion in military aid for Israel to support the slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza.
According to AP, one of the overnight strikes killed a man, his wife, and their three-year-old child. The woman was 30 weeks pregnant, and medical staff at the nearby Kuwaiti hospital were able to save the baby. The second strike killed two women and 17 children.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Sunday that the number of Palestinians killed in the Strip has reached 34,097, and 76,980 more have been wounded. The death toll is considered a low estimate since it doesn’t take into account people who are dead under the rubble.
Rafah is packed with over 1 million Palestinian civilians and has been getting hit with near-daily Israeli strikes. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been threatening to launch a full-scale invasion of the city.
The US has claimed that it’s concerned about Netanyahu’s plans to invade Rafah but is not putting any real pressure on Israel since it continues to provide military aid and political support. US and Israeli officials discussed the potential assault last week, and the White House said the two sides had a “shared objective to see Hamas defeated in Rafah.”
On Sunday, Netanyahu thanked the US for the new aid being passed through Congress and vowed to escalate in Gaza. “In the coming days, we will increase the military and diplomatic pressure on Hamas because this is the only way to free our hostages and achieve our victory,” he said.

Israeli occupation forces commit 6 massacres against Palestinian families across Gaza. The number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli aggression since October 7 has risen to 34,151, in addition to 77,084 injuries, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported.
In 24 hours only, the Israeli occupation committed 6 massacres against families in Gaza, killing 54 and injuring 104, said the Ministry, adding that some of the victims remain under the rubble and on the streets, as the occupation hinders the search and rescue missions, preventing the ambulance and civil defense teams from approaching the affected areas.
In a recent development, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that Israeli warplanes launched a series of intense airstrikes on the al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, in addition to al-Mughraqa in the central Gaza Strip.

Deals made between those who occupy the highest seats of power, are increasingly made without any recourse to public interest, democratic procedures, international protocols or the law of the land in which they are enacted.
While down at the street level, public relations exercises make it look like some ‘national interest’ is being defended. Some inviolable truth being upheld that must not be challenged.
So it is that Britain, the USA and their closest allies ‘condemn’ – in a carefully coded public relations exercise – Israel’s ruthless murder of tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza, but continue to supply these murderers with the latest weapons of modern warfare.
Then, when Netanyahu ordered the destruction of the Iranian consulate in Damascus, killing 11 people, including at least two senior commanders in the al-Quds force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, a warning was quickly received from the Iran leadership that it would revenge these deaths.
At this point, Western leaders who had condemned the Israeli army’s wanton killings in Gaza, jumped to their feet and brazenly announced an ‘iron clad’ guarantee that ‘they would not hesitate to defend Israel against her enemies’.
And so they did – when Iran held true – and in a carefully calculated response that used relatively slow moving projectiles and (we understand) a prewarning issued well in advance of its intent – launched a fleet of drones and rockets to disrupt Israel’s main military airfield.
The UK government, disrespecting – as has become the norm – international law and military engagement protocols, ordered its fighter planes into action over Israeli territory to down incoming Iranian warheads, at the expense of unconsulted British tax payers. The US involved itself in the same way.
Such (ongoing) predatory bravura is being displayed in the cause of defending the indefensible.
Iran is a country that has resisted buckling under pressure to become yet another permanent US military outpost. So it remains Middle Eastern public enemy No. 1 by Western warmonger definition.

The White House says reports of mass graves in Gaza are 'deeply disturbing'. The EU and the United Nations have already called for an independent investigation. Mass graves have been discovered in al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City as well as Nasser Hospital in the south. Dr Mohammed al-Moghier is the Head of the Monitoring and Documenting Unit at the Civil Defence Department in Gaza. He shares the evidence they have found from the uncovering of the mass graves in Khan Younis. International lawyer Geoffrey Robertson says there must be an independent investigation following the discovery of hundreds of bodies buried in mass graves at Gaza’s Nasser Hospital.

“The Already High Number of Palestinian Prisoners Has Doubled During the Last Six Months”

Gaza and West Bank have been recording one of the highest rate of imprisonments and detentions in the world for several years. However this has increased at perhaps the fastest ever pace in recent times, doubling during the last six months or so of the conflict.
On the other hand, Hamas also took many Israeli civilian hostages (including women) at the time of the October 7 attack, saying that they will be able to use them to secure release of Palestinian prisoners. This cannot be supported or justified. The taking of innocent civilians as hostages is wrong under all circumstances. In the eyes of all justice loving people of world, this will harm the Palestinian cause, not help it.
Today there is a very strong case for the Hamas releasing all these hostages and Israel releasing at least 95% of all Palestinian prisoners, may be keeping a few in prison about whom there is very strong evidence of extreme violence. In addition, of course, it is of the highest urgency to declare an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and halt all cases of attacks by settlers in West Bank.
Let us consider the extreme injustice faced by Palestinians, including children, over the years in the form of imprisonments and detentions. We first examine the situation existing before October 7 2023 and then see how this has deteriorated since then.

A document of ‘United Nations Human Rights—Office of the High Commissioner’ released on 10 July 2023 tells us regarding the situation a little before the October 7 attack. This document says—
“Frances Albanese, Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, presenting her report on arbitrary deprivation of liberty, said since 1967, Israel has detained approximately one million Palestinians in the occupied territory, including tens of thousands of children. Presently there were 5000 Palestinians in Israeli prisons including 160 children, and 1100 of them were detained without charges or trial.”
This statement must be read in the context of a total population of about five million Palestinians in the two territories so that this amounts to one out of five Palestinians being detained or arrested at one point or the other. This very high percentage of arrested or detained persons would be higher if data for only men is considered; it may then be closer to 2 out of 5.
Further the statement of United Nations Human Rights says—
“The occupying power framed the Palestinians as a collective incarcerable security threat , ultimately de-civilianizing them, namely eroding their status as protected persons…Israel’s unlawful carceral practices were tantamount to international crimes which warranted an urgent investigation by the International Criminal Court. All the more as these offences appeared to be part of a plan of ‘de-Palestinisation’ of the territory. This threatened the existence of people as a national cohesive group.”
Around the same time as this UN report appeared, in July 2023, another leading organization ‘Save the Children’ also released a report on Palestinian children who had been detained or arrested by the Israeli authorities. This study based on 228 former child detainees revealed that 86% of them had been beaten during detention, even though 42% were already injured at the point of arrest, and some had suffered sexual violence too. The period of detention ranged from 1 to 18 months, and left long-lasting scars and adverse impacts. Many child detainees were handcuffed and kept in small cage like structures.
After October 7 2023 the number of arrested and detained persons increased rapidly, reaching around 9000 to 11000 according to various published estimates, thus almost doubling. The increase has been more in the West Bank region. Most of them are in Israeli jails which have rapidly become overcrowded and hence the condition of prisoners has deteriorated. In addition there are those detained in military camps in Gaza for varying lengths of time. Their number may be in hundreds at any given time but at other times it may be less. It is very difficult to estimate. In both kinds of detentions some deaths have been reported, increasing fears of mistreatment and torture.
Clearly the situation of Palestinian prisoners is very serious and urgency of release and relief for them should be highlighted in the form of a strong worldwide campaign. There should also be a campaign for the release of Israeli hostages.

Harari and his immediate superior in the elitist nomenklatura, Klaus Schwab, technically are private individuals. Investment in this kind of equipment is huge. In 2016, Eisenhower Center for Space and Defence Studies wrote:
Overall, it has been estimated that public and private sector neuro S/T investment is around $150 billion annually. Let us see that amongst this equipment are weapons that are actually being used against unwitting citizens.
On October 19th and November 30th, 1991, the Russian daily Komsomolskaya Pravda published two articles about the case of a former colonel of the Russian secret service KGB, who complained that he was exposed to the effects of “psychotronic generators,“ and his case was presented to Moscow prosecutor’s office, which started investigation.
As a reaction to those articles the Komsomolskaya Pravda received 400 letters from people, who were convinced, that they were exposed to this kind of radiation as well.
Russian prosecutors started an investigation of those complaints and the experts registered (with the use of measuring equipment) intensive directed electromagnetic radiation in ten Moscow apartments of which the inhabitants complained about it.
At that point the investigation was stopped. The information on this investigation was republished in 1999 in the book by Russian politician Vladimir Lopatin and Russian scientist Vladimir Tsyganko, “Psychotronic weapon and security of Russia”.
Russia proposed an international ban of the remote control of the human nervous system activity to the United Nations in the year 2000. It was noted in the article “Riders of Psychotronic Apocaplypse” by Russian daily Segodnya.
In the middle of March 2016, the Polish minister of defence Antoni Macierewicz visited the University of Father Tadeusz Rydzyk to participate in the discussion on the subject “Problems of actual politics, military conflicts and terrorism”.
One of the listeners asked him if Poland has a strategy addressing the illegal experiments with electromagnetic weapons on Polish citizens.
The minister replied that his ministry is performing an analysis aimed at finding out in what regions of Poland the people, who are complaining about such attacks, are living and that, according to preliminary information, most of the complaints originate from Lower Silesia and north-western Poland.
He also stated that in about half a year he will know more and promised to establish a commission to investigate those complaints. His words ran through practically all of the Polish media, but no major media in any other European or Western state have mentioned it. The Polish defense minister was the first top politician in the European Union and in the whole world who confirmed publicly the existence of electromagnetic weapons, and the fact that those weapons affect humans (in January 2017 was removed from office).

I went to MIT, class of 1969, so I was a Senior in 1968. It is now 2024 not the late sixties, but rebellion for change is again in the air. I think it is just getting revved up. I can feel it. I’ll bet you can feel it too. And maybe, hopefully, it will not crescendo any time soon but will instead persist. And perhaps, hopefully, it will seek more than immediate changes. And maybe, and I think I can feel this too, it will be much smarter than we were back then, back in 1968.
The rebellious events at Columbia last week have spurred rebellions of students and sometimes others at a rapidly enlarging community of campuses, including at my personally much-despised alma mater, MIT. [Note, I am not unbiased about campus rebellion or about MIT. The former undergirds mass change, over and over. Have at it. The latter is an instance of elite, academic, grossly rotten business as usual. When I was president of MIT’s student body, during steadily growing and intensifying rebellion, among the epithets I used for MIT was “Dachau on the Charles” because of its war research. Some on campus were too literal or too dense to see why I named it thus. For them, I would acknowledge the main difference, which was that MIT’s victims were not local, like Dachau’s—no, MIT’s victims way back then were half a torn-up world away in Vietnam enduring American carpet bombing. And regarding Dachau, MIT’s victims were not hanging like burned out lightbulbs in MIT’s corridors nor lying breathless like fish out of water gassed in MIT’s labs. And now, 56 years later, MIT’s current victims are way off in Gaza enduring Israeli carpet bombing (but with American bombs). They are not being forcefully exiled from MIT’s classes, dorms, playing fields, and clinic—not yet, anyway. My point: history sometimes repeats, sometimes with ironic differences, sometimes with healthy differences.

4. Close loopholes that allow the unregulated and unreported transfer of military goods to Israel through the United States.
On March 18, Parliament voted to “cease the further authorization and transfer of arms exports to Israel to ensure compliance with Canada’s arms export regime.” CJPME has warned that Canada is stalling on implementing this policy and that Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly has introduced loopholes that unacceptable narrow the scope of the ban. Moreover, CJPME notes that we need to go further: the initial text of the motion introduced by the NDP called on Canada to “suspend all trade in military goods and technology with Israel,” and would have received the support of the Bloc Québecois, Green MPs, and reportedly up to 90 Liberal MPs.
“Evidently, there is historic popular and political interest in a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel. The Trudeau government has no excuse not to break all military ties with Israel immediately,” added Bueckert.

On April 17, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban spoke at this year’s National Conservatism (NatCon) conference, a gathering of conservative political parties in the European Union, as the name aptly suggests. Dubbed the “gathering of Europe’s far right” by the mainstream propaganda machine, NatCon is indeed opposed to the ultra-liberal ideology and policies of the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels. Thus, it’s hardly surprising that Orban was quite critical of the troubled bloc’s numerous failures, as he openly urged voters to reject mainstream political parties in the upcoming EU elections. Orban even called on the political leadership in Brussels to resign, pointing out that all of their major projects and policies, such as the so-called “green transition”, sustainable development, migration, military and sanctions, etc. failed.
“The sense of this European election is: change the leadership,” he stated, adding: “If the leadership proves to be bad, it must be replaced. That’s so simple.”
For the Associated Press, this was “too much”, as the major mainstream propaganda machine outlet complained about the applause that Orban, a “right-wing populist leader” according to them, got for those words. He also criticized the EU’s suicidal climate policies and agriculture rules that make it impossible for farmers across the EU to stay in business. In addition, Orban warned that the ongoing migration crisis is getting out of hand and that the possible admission of the Kiev regime to the EU or NATO should not be allowed, primarily for economic and security reasons. He also criticized the European Commission, the bloc’s effectively unelected executive body, for using the COVID-19 pandemic as an excuse to attack his country, slamming the EC for an attempt to “suffocate Hungary financially”.
Ukraine: An “Afghanistan” in the Heart of Europe
And indeed, the Brussels bureaucrats illegally denied giving Budapest access to billions of euros in funds over alleged “concerns about democratic backsliding in the country”, as well as the “possible mismanagement of EU money”. In Orban’s view, this is nothing more than an attempt to blackmail the country due to his strong stance on all of the aforementioned policies and ideologies that the political West subscribes to nowadays. He also reiterated that the failures extend to the self-defeating sanctions on Russia. The mainstream propaganda machine usually accuses Orban of being a supposed “staunch ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin” for such a stance, particularly when it comes to his opposition to the change of Ukraine’s status as a potential geopolitical buffer zone between the EU/NATO and Russia.
In addition, Orban called the Neo-Nazi junta “just a protectorate relying on Western money and weapons, not a sovereign state anymore”. Expectedly, this wasn’t met with approval in Brussels, which even tried to prevent this year’s NatCon, citing alleged “security concerns” as the excuse for it. The AP called the conference “a gathering of strident nationalists and fundamentalist Christians”, complaining about the fact that it resumed after winning a legal challenge against Brussels city authorities which tried to prevent it under the pretext that it posed “a threat to public order”. Other prominent EU conservative figures, such as Eric Zemmour from France, were to attend the NatCon. However, Zemmour was held by the police, preventing his address about the EU’s immigration rules that can only be described as suicidal.

Israel’s Minister of War, Yoav Gallant, told his troops the Iranian attack was not successful; that of about hundred drones and rockets, Israel downed them all but four, thanks to their good preparation. This is a lie on many levels.
Both Netanyahu and Gallant expressed their determination to retaliate after a well thought-out plan. Netanyahu qualified, it needs to be a “clever response”.
Likewise, army chief Herzi Halevi is crystal clear in his attempt at launching a response for Iran’s retaliatory attack on Israel, but he does not want to cause a war.
The Israeli Cabinet is also “mulling” over what they call a “political offensive” – whatever that may mean.
Interesting is that both sides, Israel and Iran, do not seem to want war, or better a HOT WAR, where saber-rattling could surreptitiously convert into a mushroom cloud. They know when NATO gets involved, Russia and China may get involved – and then the sky is open and Armageddon is on the table, or rather all over Mother Earth.
If indeed, Israel goes ahead with such a counter-attack, however benign or non-benign it may be, it is like giving Biden the finger because, according to the latest news, Biden backtracked from his earlier limitless commitment to support Israel and to always fight for Israel’s security. Biden’s “back-stoppers“ must have told him otherwise: “America is not going to war with Iran for Israel.” Israel – you are on your own, so to speak.
That was a smart decision. Will they stick to it? The US is divided. There are the Zionists, who so far have called the shots in Washington and the Pentagon. But the balance is gradually shifting in favor of the more level-headed thinkers, those who do not want to risk WWIII which could become nuclear – and global.
Similar messages of “caution” seem to emanate from British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, a strong supporter of Zionism. He called Benjamin Netanyahu, suggesting prudence in any further action he may take. An escalation that could spin out of control is in nobody’s interest.
Nevertheless, PM Sunak assured Netanyahu of UK’s support to “guarantee Israel’s security”.
If this sounds like a game of words, probably it is a game of words. Maybe hiding a surprise – and perhaps during the days of “thinking about prudence” — something much bigger may be under preparation. Knowing the Israel-Zionist’s own supremacy concept, they will not let the Iranian attack, even if well justified, go unanswered.
Just to refresh memories, because they are systematically wiped out by the bought mainstream media: Iran launched a measured, but well calculated retaliatory attack on Israeli military targets in the early hours of 14th April. The drone and ICBM missile assault of some 300 projectiles was a response for Israel’s unprovoked attack of 1st April on Iran’s Consulate in Damascus, leaving seven people dead, including two high-ranking Iranian military officers.

When Israel bombed an Iranian embassy compound in Damascus on 1 April, killing top Iranian commanders, many saw it as bait laid out by Benjamin Netanyahu to force a direct confrontation that would drag the US into a wider regional conflict. More isolated than ever on the world stage after six months of brutal war in Gaza, Israel needed a distraction. Iran vowed to respond, and despite warnings from US President Joe Biden, launched a large-scale drone and missile attack on Israel, the first direct confrontation with Israel after decades of proxy aggressions between the two adversaries. The non-violence training to join the Freedom Flotilla Coalition’s ships to Gaza has been intense. As hundreds of us from 32 countries gathered in Istanbul, we were briefed about what we might encounter on this voyage. “We have to be ready for every possibility,” our trainers insisted.
The best scenario, they said, is that our three ships–one carrying 5,500 tons of humanitarian aid and two carrying the passengers–will reach Gaza and accomplish our mission. Another scenario would be that the Turkish government might cave to pressure from Israel, the United States and Germany, and prevent the boats from even leaving Istanbul. This happened in 2011, when the Greek government buckled under pressure and ten boats were stalled in Greece. With our boats docked in Istanbul today, we fear that Turkish President Erdogan, who recently suffered a crushing blow in local elections, is vulnerable to any economic blackmail the Western powers might be threatening.
Another possibility is that the ships take off but the Israelis illegally hijack us in international waters, confiscate our boats and supplies, arrest and imprison us, and eventually deport us.

Reem Omar is worried about the health of her family. Two of her four children have contracted hepatitis.
The first sign of infection came when Reem noticed that her daughter’s face had turned a sickly shade of yellow.
After a few days, her daughter – who had become quite thin – had a high temperature and diarrhea and started to vomit.
Reem initially sought help from a medical point. Its workers felt a more thorough examination was necessary and told Reem that her daughter should be taken to the Kuwaiti hospital in Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost city.
Hepatitis A is closely associated with poor diet and a lack of clean water.
Reem is convinced that the scarcity of food in Gaza caused her children to become ill. “There are no fruit or healthy sources of nutrition that help children and adults to fight diseases,” she said.
Following mass displacement, more than 1 million people remain crammed into Rafah despite reports that some have recently left the city.
Jamal al-Hams, a doctor at the Kuwaiti hospital, noted that displaced people are “living in very difficult conditions” and “there is no protection from viruses and epidemics.”
“We used to receive 100 patients a day in this small and simple hospital,” he added. “Today we are talking about receiving 1,000 or more patients with infectious diseases during a single day, not to mention the many cases of injuries because of the ongoing war on Gaza.”
The few remaining hospitals in Gaza are overwhelmed. Israel has been attacking the healthcare system without mercy.
The World Health Organization has described the situation as “heartbreaking.”

Our new camp in Rafah, after our third displacement, is located in a graveyard near the Egyptian border. Each day the tents of new arrivals – of those forcibly displaced by Israeli attacks – creep closer to the graves.
After every Israeli massacre, both graveyard and camp expand, crawling toward the outer edges of the desert.
We’ve been here since December 2023. Nine of us share a tent that is 16 square meters.
We are in the desert, but sometimes it does not feel that way because of the density and the near-constant sounds of Israeli explosions and drones.
There are so many people in the camp, all of us in tents that do not protect from heat or cold.
Winds sometimes uproot tents. There are stray dogs everywhere. Every day we line up for drinking water. Sometimes the water runs out and we return to our tents empty-handed.
My family’s tent is in the middle of the camp. Next door is a medical point that supports those who have been displaced here.
I’ve seen doctors stitch up children’s wounds with care. Often there is no local anesthesia, so the doctors compensate with extra warmth and smiles. An elderly woman came to the tent for treatment for a chronic condition. They treated her with kindness. They did not have much medicine for her.
Since medical supplies are scarce, the doctors use what they have on hand.
We are being annihilated. We are running out of options. The north and south are separated, and communication is cut off. I used to hope that I would see friends and family in the north again, but now I just don’t know.
After this war ends, where will we go? Israel has destroyed our homes, and our favorite places no longer exist.

It is heartbreaking to hear stories of Israeli cruelty every day.
My cousin Nour is 29-years-old. She has three children – Omar, Rayan and Emad.
In the early stages of the current genocidal war, she and her family left the northern half of Gaza and moved south. Doing so, they hoped, would keep them alive.
Israel had claimed it was setting up a safe “humanitarian corridor” so that people could evacuate without being harmed. There was nothing safe about the route Nour and her family took.
In Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, a missile struck the car in which Nour was traveling. The window was broken and Nour was injured in the left eye.
Her child Rayan was wounded too.
They needed urgent treatment. Doctors referred them to a hospital in Egypt.
I hope they make a swift recovery.
My own immediate family had to evacuate our home without our belongings.
We had been working very hard to make an honest living. Everything has been lost.
Hassan, my eldest brother, went back to our land, even though he knew it had been invaded by Israeli forces.
He needed money. So he collected wood to sell it.
In this war, one of the few ways to make an income is by chopping wood.
One day, Hassan was accompanied by his friend Yasir, 36. Yasir had been unemployed before the war began.
When they were leaving the farmland, Israel fired a missile toward them. Yasir was cut in two.
My brother had to carry out the dreadful task of gathering what remained of his friend.
Yasir was martyred as he tried to protect his family from hunger.
He had told his wife that if he died, she should strive to provide their children with “a better life than the one I was given.”
My friend Rama had a lovely family.
Like me, she studied English and graduated from college in the recent past.
During this war, her home was destroyed. Her family was massacred.
Only Rama and her sister are still alive. But they have major injuries.
They survived after being in a coma.
While their medical treatment was successful in keeping them alive, the psychological wounds of this genocide will remain.
We are all tasting agony in Gaza.

Amid an ongoing onslaught against the Gaza Strip by apartheid Israel, the Palestinian national football team was a Cinderella story at this year’s AFC Asian Cup, reaching the knockout stages, eventually falling only to hosts and eventual winners hosted in Qatar. But while the challenge on the football field was hard enough, the Palestinian football team has to deal with a unique challenge that no other national squad faces: that of an unrelenting attack on it from Israel. This attack has included jailing, torturing, shooting and killing top players, bombing Palestinian infrastructure, and restricting the movement of players in and out of the country.
This has led to a growing global movement calling for Israel to be banned from international sporting competitions as part of a wider campaign to implement Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS). South Africa-based group Red Card Israel, for example, told MintPress that:
The action of suspending Israel from international sport creates a symbolic support against the unlawful occupation of Israel in the Palestinian territories and shows solidarity for the Palestinian people living under the apartheid regime.”
Cutting Down the Tallest Flowers
Palestine started with one simple goal in the Asian Cup: to put a smile on people’s faces back home, giving them hope by representing them on an international stage. In that, they succeeded, becoming the toast of the tournament, playing attractive, positive football, including a 3-0 win over Hong Kong, China. Yet they did so despite generations of players shot, killed or permanently disabled by Israeli warplanes and snipers.
For example, in January 2014, cousins Jawhar Nasser Jawhar, 19, and Adam Abd al-Raouf Halabiya, 17 – young stars about to be called to the national team – were traveling home from a training session near Ramallah. They were ambushed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), who shot al-Raouf in the legs. Jawhar rushed to his aid, only to be peppered with bullets himself, including seven in his left foot, three in his right, and one in the hand. An attack dog was unleashed on them, and soldiers subsequently broke al-Raouf’s leg for good measure, suggesting they knew who the pair were. Their careers were over in a flash, and their destiny was stripped away. Now 29 and 27, respectively, Jawhar and al-Raouf would have been in their prime for the 2024 tournament.
While the pair survived partly thanks to medical treatment in Jordan, many of their peers were less fortunate. Tarek al-Quto, a promising midfielder, was killed by the IDF in 2004. Five years later, during Operation Cast Lead, Israel killed three more top players: Ayman Alkurd, Shadi Sbakhe and Wajeh Moshtaha. Also in 2009, 18-year-old phenomenon Saji Darwish was struck down by an Israeli sniper near Ramallah.

“NATO Is a Warfare Alliance, Not a Force for Global Peace or Stability “

At his speech during the NATO Summit in Lithuania, President Biden called the U.S. and Europe “anchors for global security” when in reality there are no anchors during this increasingly dangerous and polarized time of never-ending war in Europe. Our NATO allies are not, as Biden would suggest, anchors in a turbulent sea of demons but rather catalysts stirring the cauldron of war on behalf of U.S. empire.
The instability of the NATO alliance was evident in the controversy over the key issue of Ukraine membership. Biden and his administration tried to work both sides of the street. On the one hand, Biden insisted that “Ukraine’s future lies at NATO.” But then the U.S. teamed up with Germany to make sure the summit made only a vague statement about Ukraine joining when allies agree and “conditions are met,” incurring the wrath of a fuming President Zelensky. Biden’s national security advisor Jake Sullivan told CNN that everyone “needs to look squarely at the fact” that allowing Ukraine to join NATO at this point “means war with Russia.”
But this does not mean that Biden, or NATO, are ready to endorse peace talks. On the contrary. The NATO Summit came on the heels of Biden’s much-scorned decision to send banned cluster bombs to Ukraine. And at the Summit, France announced plans to send new long-range strike missiles; Germany announced a new round of military aid, including tanks and artillery shells; and 11 NATO countries pledged to train Ukrainian pilots to fly nuclear-capable F-16 fighter jets. In short, Ukraine’s Zelensky walked away from the NATO summit with a declaration of years of military subsidies, a virtual blank check to make Ukraine a forever proxy to maintain US hegemony. As NATO members send Ukraine more and more destructive weapons, the terrifying possibility of a wider war, even a nuclear war, casts a shadow over the entire globe.

The U.S. government alleged that Sadek, an Egyptian who had fought with the mujahadin in the 1980s, was a member of al-Qaeda involved in planning the 9/11 attacks, though never developed any proof of this.
In reality, Sadek was sold out by his neighbor, who was paid a $5,000 bounty by U.S. soldiers under a program initiated by then-Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

“ATACMS, What exactly does the voted US aid mean for Ukraine”

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a bill that not only provides for military assistance to Ukraine here and now, but also obliges the U.S. government to develop a concept for a long-term support strategy for our country. The document also provides for weapons that Ukraine has needed for many months.
In particular, the United States undertakes to provide the Ukrainian army with ATACMS long-range ballistic missiles. OBOZ.UA found out what else the bill passed in Congress envisages.
The US House of Representatives has actually approved a strategy for long-term support of Ukraine, which, in particular, enshrines our country’s victory in the war with Russia as the main goal. To effectively achieve this goal, the Congress demanded that the US Department of Defense and the State Department develop a strategy to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
The U.S. government must submit these proposals no later than 45 days after the law comes into force. It is worth noting that for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the purpose of military assistance was clearly stated in official US documents.
It is also worth mentioning that, according to the law, the US President is obliged to provide Ukraine with ATACMS long-range missiles. However, the document has an amendment that the transfer of this weapon system should not harm the interests of US national security.
In total, the aid package amounts to almost $61 billion in military and non-military aid. At the same time, Speaker Mike Johnson emphasized that about 80% of this amount will remain in the United States, because it is not a transfer of money, but mainly an equivalent amount of assistance.
The Americans will spend more than $27 billion on arms purchases. 13.8 billion will be spent on the production, repair and re-equipment of weapons for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative program. Another 7.8 billion will be spent on existing weapons and ammunition from the US Army’s warehouses. In particular, this will allow the Armed Forces to receive weapons in the shortest possible time.
Also, 1.6 billion is provided for the purchase of weapons from the United States. This program will allow Ukraine to buy weapons and ammunition from U.S. military warehouses. Ukraine will be able to use almost 4 billion more to buy weapons from the US Army’s stockpiles.

The Russian Foreign Minister stated that the United States and NATO were fixated on achieving a “strategic defeat” against Russia, emphasizing the dangers inherent in such a confrontational approach that could elevate the risk of nuclear escalation.
“The Westerners are teetering dangerously on the brink of a direct military clash between nuclear powers, which is fraught with catastrophic consequences,” Lavrov said.

This past weekend, April 20, 2024 the US House of Representatives passed a bill to provide Ukraine with another $61 billion in aid. The measure will quickly pass the Senate and be signed into law by Biden within days.
The funds, however, will make little difference to the outcome of the war on the ground as it appears most of the military hardware funded by the $61 billion has already been produced and much of it already shipped. Perhaps no more than $10 billion in additional new weapons and equipment will result from the latest $61 billion passed by Congress.
Subject to revision, initial reports of the composition of the $61 billion indicate $23.2 billion of it will go to pay US arms producers for weapons that have already been produced and delivered to Ukraine. Another $13.8 billion is earmarked to replace weapons from US military stocks that have been produced and are in the process of being shipped—but haven’t as yet—or are additional weapons still to be produced. The breakdown of this latter $13.8 amount is not yet clear in the initial reports. One might generously guess perhaps $10 billion at most represents weapons not yet produced, while $25-$30 billion represents weapons already shipped to Ukraine or in the current shipment pipeline.
In total, therefore, weapons already delivered to Ukraine, awaiting shipment, or yet to be produced amount to approximately $37 billion.
The remainder of the $61 billion includes $7.8 billion for financial assistance to Ukraine to pay for salaries of government employees through 2024. An additional $11.3 billion to finance current Pentagon operations in Ukraine—which sounds suspiciously like pay for US advisors, mercenaries, special ops, and US forces operating equipment like radars, advanced Patriot missile systems, etc. on the ground. Another $4.7 billion is for miscellaneous expenses, whatever that is.
In other words, only $13.8 billion of the $61 billion is for weapons Ukraine doesn’t already have!
And that $13.8 billion is all Ukraine will likely get in new weapons funding for the rest of 2024! Like the $23 billion already in theater, that will likely be burned up in a couple of weeks this summer once Russia’s coming major offensive—its largest of the war—is launched in late May or early June. So what does the US do in order to continue to fund Ukraine’s economy, government and military efforts this fall and thereafter?
In other words, what’s the Biden/NATO strategy for aiding Ukraine, militarily and economically, after the $37 billion is expended by late this summer? Where’s the money to come from?
To understand how the US/NATO plan to fund subsequent weapons production for Ukraine in late 2024 and early 2025, one must consider not only the $61 billion bill but a second bill also passed by Congress this past weekend that hasn’t been given much attention in the mainstream media.
That second bill may potentially provide up to $300 billion for Ukraine from USA and its G7 allies, especially NATO allies in Europe where reportedly $260 of the $300 billion resides in Eurozone banks.

The Axis of Resistance is shining a light on the reactionary regimes in the region who remain active and willing agents of imperialism.
Before the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7th, developments in southwestern Asia were progressing in a reactionary fashion, with a number of Arab states normalizing relations with the zionist entity, including Saudi Arabia, whose actions were more furtive. For example, in July 2022, Saudi Arabia began allowing the zionist entity’s airplanes to use Saudi airspace, something the Biden White House called a “historic decision.” Yet, the resistance in Gaza has unleashed a progression of history that has unexpectedly shifted the fragile dynamics of a region entangled in Western imperialism. Further, despite an extremely heavy price of more than 35,000 Palestinian civilians killed by the zionist entity and greenlit by the imperialist triad (Japan, Europe, and North America), Al-Aqsa Flood has exposed who truly stands on the right side of history and who sides with barbarism. It has shown who acts collectively to define national liberation and who acts through the diktats of imperialism and its modus operandi.
Given the colossal failure of the zionist entity’s campaign in ‘freeing’ the prisoners held by the resistance in Gaza, in recent weeks, it sought ways to legitimize its military actions and demand for increased support from its imperialist allies. It did so by attempting to expand the war zone into neighboring countries to draw its allies into the orbit of war. The zionist entity began sporadically bombing Lebanon outside of the conflict area (attacking Beirut) and destroying civilian infrastructure in Syria and, most recently, escalated by bombing Iran’s consulate in Damascus. Now, the zionist entity, which has become a pariah entity (a term only used by mouthpieces of the Empire to describe Third World regimes that contest US hegemony, such as Libya pre-2011, Nicaragua, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Iraq), has violated the Geneva Convention and the Vienna Convention by committing genocide and bombing a country’s consulate, and assassinating seven Iranian military advisers, including three seniors commanders.
Such a violation saw a noticeable retaliation by Iran and the Axis of Resistance . Following the heroic acts by Yemen to block all ships crossing through Bab Al-Mandab that are affiliated with the zionist entity, Iran began by first seizing a ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Second, Iran and the Axis of Resistance sent a barrage of drones, missiles, and rockets on the occupied Palestinian lands. While ahistorical, liberal narratives would reduce each action to their efficacy on the ground. But these actions by the Axis of Resistance have made colossal changes in the trajectory of history in the region in several ways. First, before the 7th of October, no one would think that anyone would dare bomb the zionist entity. Second, it shows that the impunity the zionist entity has enjoyed since its inception – it has constantly bombed Syria, and aided and armed the Islamic State and the separatist Kurds in Iraq through Mossad agents is now being challenged, such that, for the first time is experiencing limits to its belligerence. Third, though many frame Iran’s barrage as fruitless theatrics and expressions of prowess without having any, one must recognize that military strategy, not to be confused with tactical wins, are long-term objectives. Iran has probed the zionist entity and masterminded a strategy that granted it an accumulation of knowledge about the air defense systems in the region, which countries house operable imperialist airbases, and which regimes heed to imperialism.

The U.S. kept the U.N. Security Council from sending in troops to stop the 1994 Rwandan Genocide.
The most widespread and pernicious myth about the Rwandan Genocide may be that the US stood by and let it happen, but nothing could be further from the truth. The US in fact intervened aggressively—to make sure there would be no UN intervention—as Robin Philpot explains in Rwanda and the New Scramble for Africa: From Tragedy to Useful Imperial Fiction . This book is a classic history, as important this year, the 30th anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide, as it was upon its English publication in 2013.
At its opening, and in Chapter 7, “How is the Empire?,” Philpot quotes former UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, who said, “The genocide in Rwanda was one hundred percent the responsibility of the Americans!”
He quotes Boutros-Ghali’s 1999 book Unvanquished: A US-UN Saga in which the former Secretary-General writes, “The US effort to prevent the effective deployment of a UN force for Rwanda succeeded with the strong support of Britain.”
The 1994 genocide took place three years after the Soviet Union collapsed and broke up into 15 independent states. The Cold War was over and the US reigned supreme economically and militarily, with veto power on the UN Security Council. President Bill Clinton thus sent his UN Ambassador, Madeleine Albright, to systematically block any kind of UN military intervention to stop the bloodshed in Rwanda. No intervention would be tolerated, even if the US did not participate.
Why not? Because the US wanted to see its imperial proxy, the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) led by General Paul Kagame, seize power in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali. It wanted to displace France and the French language and establish itself as the dominant power in East and Central Africa. It wanted ready access to the immense mineral wealth of Rwanda’s neighbor, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which Rwanda and Uganda would invade two years later. It wanted to destroy the strong state established by the Rwandan social revolution of 1962, which overthrew the feudal Tutsi monarchy. The RPF, who carried US interests and the English language into Kigali, were largely Tutsi aristocrats who had taken refuge in Uganda after that revolution.
One hundred days that ended a four-year war
The popular understanding of the genocide is that it was 100 days of bloodletting in which the country’s Hutu majority executed a plan to exterminate the country’s Tutsi minority. Few, even in left circles, understand that it was the final hundred days of a four-year war that began when the army of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) invaded Rwanda from Uganda on October 1, 1990, displacing perhaps as many as a million Rwandans over the next four years. It is little understood that the US was determined to see its proxy, the RPF, win that war, or that the RPF also committed mass atrocities, including the assassinations of the Rwandan and Burundian presidents which triggered the panic, chaos, violence, and horror of the next 100 days. It is little understood that, immediately after the assassinations, the RPF broke the ceasefire in the four-year war, beginning a long-planned military assault to seize power, which it accomplished by the first week of July 1994.
Philpot cites classified internal Clinton Administration documents which were made available in August 2001 consequent to a Freedom of Information Act request submitted by the independent National Security Archive. “These memoranda, telegrams, working papers, reports, and briefing documents,” he writes, “confirm the worst apprehensions about how a superpower develops and applies a foreign policy in which its own strategic interests take precedence over the lives and the peace of a country, its people, and whole regions of Africa.”
The Clinton Administration was well aware of the enormity of the tragedy unfolding in Rwanda after the RPF assassinated the Rwandan and Burundian presidents.

“Looting of Food Grains Continues in Nigeria as Almost Half its Population Suffers Hunger”

President Bola Tinubu’s lifting of fuel subsidies and liberalization of currency trade has pleased the IMF and increased hunger in Africa’s most populous country.
With hunger now affecting nearly half the population, Nigeria has witnessed a wave of looting of food grains from trucks and warehouses across the country over the last few weeks.
In Akure, the capital of Ondo State in the southwestern region, petty traders, drivers, artisans and other residents forced themselves on to a truck on the Ondo-Akure expressway on April 1 and looted the grains it was carrying in cartons branded with President Bola Tinubu’s name.
A day before, on Sunday, hungry residents looted rice from a warehouse in Kara Market of Birnin Kebbi, the capital of Kebbi State in Nigeria’s northwestern region which has over 500,000 cases of severe acute malnutrition.
Noticing the bags of grains being unloaded in the warehouses, crowds had begun gathering outside in the morning. Eyewitnesses reported that police fired tear gas to disperse them, but the desperate residents refused to relent and held their ground. When two more trailers arrived to unload, they forced the police to retreat by pelting stones, climbed aboard the trucks and made away with bags of rice.
When the military was deployed to the scene, some soldiers reportedly started a fight with owners of shops around the warehouse, accusing them of participating in the looting, and shooting one of them dead with a bullet to his chest.
State Deputy Governor Umar Tafida’s spokesperson has said that “measures are being put in place by the security agencies to bring the situation under control.”
However, the security forces the government is relying on to guard food grains are by far outnumbered by the number of food insecure people, which has increased by more than 50%, from 66.2 million in the first quarter of 2023 to 100 million in the first quarter of 2024 . This amounts to almost 46% of the 218 million people in the country with Africa’s largest population.
According to the UN’s World Food Programme (WFP), 18.6 million of them are suffering acute hunger, while another 43.7 million are coping with hunger levels at or above its benchmark for classification as “crisis.”
The rate at which food prices are increasing, which was already as high as almost 25% last February, had risen further to almost 39% by February this year.
The central reason for this food inflation is the removal of fuel subsidies by the government in May 2023, according to a study by economist Eric Otaokhia of Ahmadu Bello University, published in the most recent issue of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s quarterly publication.
On the heels of this move against fuel subsidies, President Bola Tinubu suspended the then-president of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), who, according to Reuters , had “made it difficult for investors to take out money” from Nigeria.
Tinubu then went on to liberalize the trade of Nigeria’s currency in June 2023, bringing Naira’s value crashing down overnight by more than a third. This kneecapped the country’s capacity to import, on which Nigeria had come to increasingly depend for food since the 90s, following the first round of IMF-prescribed neoliberal reforms .
Despite its high production potential, with a 70% youth population and over 40% of its land arable , food imports have more than quadrupled in the decades since.

“Sudanese Dialogue and Political Processes at a Time of War: People, Participation, and Power”

Ending the war in Sudan will require real Sudanese dialogue to carve out a new political course. The people must be wary of a manufactured process, run by a political and economic elite that will only continue the conflict and political crisis.
On 15 April it will be a year since the war in Sudan started. Today the country is on the brink of famine. Yet in 2019 the country’s mass uprising was at its peak. Omar al-Bashir had been overthrown and the new political project, conceptualized by Sudan’s revolutionary forces who had flooded the streets for months, were demanding a complete break from the ways of doing politics by the dominant political class, calling for freedom, radical political change, equal citizenship, peace, social justice and fighting against deeply entrenched socio-economic inequality. In many ways, the war between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) with its conflict over political power, economic resources, and control was a war against this project.
There have been calls and efforts by some Sudanese, African, and Western actors for a Sudanese civilian dialogue to envision a political pathway for the post-war phase. The proclaimed aim of these calls is to make sure that any upcoming negotiations to end the conflict are not solely left to the belligerents in the conflict and that Sudanese civilians are the ones developing the political roadmap for the ‘day after’.
However, it is important to remember that the concept of a ‘Sudanese-Sudanese Dialogue’ has often been initiated and instrumentalized in different phases of Sudan’s history by both military actors and civilian elites for self-serving political purposes. We need to be wary that current initiatives do not do the same.
For the past months, some Western actors have been technically and logistically supporting certain Sudanese platforms as the main civilian fronts leading these political processes.
One of the main platforms being supported is the Coordination for Civilian Democratic Forces (Taqaddum), a coalition of the main political parties, some armed movements, professional groups, civil society individuals and organizations, and a few resistance committees which were formed in October of last year . The core political group within the platform is the Forces of Freedom and Change-Central Committee (FFC-CC).
In the US Senate Committee for Foreign Relations, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Mary “Molly” Phee, described the members of the group in the following way :
…Sudanese civilians have been meeting in Addis Ababa. And they are working towards forming an inclusive and representative pro-democracy civilian front. It’s an important group of Sudanese. We are actively encouraging those dialogues and we hope that this is the start of a serious process to form the next government of Sudan and to counter … the security forces.
Since then, the platform has been holding workshops on post-conflict issues such as post-war constitutional arrangements, local governance, justice and transitional justice and security and military reform. The coalition is also planning to organize a workshop on the ‘Negotiations Position’ of the platform regarding the war.
The culmination of these workshops is what the platform calls a ‘Foundational Conference’ and what some Western actors refer to as a ‘National Convention’ planned for May this year. One of the strategic goals of this conference, according to sources, is to ‘expand political participation’ of other ‘pro-democracy forces’ on the ‘issues related to ending the current armed conflict’ as well as the ‘civilian democratic future of the country.’ Another key purpose of the conference is to approve the coalition’s political vision at a macro-level in order to provide a ‘foundation for negotiations with the warring parties.’ The convention also aims to get participants to agree on a ‘design process’ in order ‘to negotiate an end to the conflict.’

“No one should deny the service that thousands of Cuban doctors have delivered for the poor suffering people.”
What is the reward that Cuba gets for this service? Often its people cannot get essential services and medical equipment. This is due to the embargo against Cuba imposed by the USA for over six decades.
In addition Cubans face problems in getting food, meeting other basic needs and trading with other countries, despite trade being integral to the development needs of this island nation. The UN Economic Commission for Latin America estimated embargo costs for Cuba at 130 billion dollars, or about 2 billion dollars per year. Other estimates mention a higher figure.
The World Say No to US Blockade of Cuba
Don’t ask for any credible reasons to explain why the USA has done this because none exists. Have you ever seen a bully tormenting a small child? The bully does not have to give any reasons, he does what he is doing because he can go on doing this.
The only hopeful time for Cuba during these long decades was when President Obama removed many restrictions and initiated cooperation activities instead, giving very encouraging results. But this period lasted only for a short while, and President Trump made things worse by introducing terror sponsor charges as well against the country, without any evidence of course.
Such charges, which were first brought in during the tenure of Ronald Reagan, ignore the well-known fact that it is the Cubans who have been at the receiving end of several terror attacks launched by Cuban exiles from US territory and often with help from US sources, including the CIA. One of these attacks led to the death of 73 air travelers. Cuban hotels with tourists living there have also been attacked. There were several attacks on the Cuban President Fidel Castro to try to assassinate or harm him.
After the success of the Cuban revolution led by Castro which brought many equality and justice-based changes in Cuba, the USA embarked on a policy of disrupting Cuban government and economy. This is how the aims of US policy were summarized by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, USA, Lester D. Mallory in 1960—
“Every possible means should be undertaken promptly to weaken the economic life of Cuba…denying money and supplies to Cuba, to decrease monetary and real wages, to bring about hunger, desperation and overthrow of government.”
When such a statement is made openly, is anything left to say regarding the glaring violation of all ethical considerations in US policies towards Cuba?
The utter lack of ethics in US embargo policy is also evident from the consistent opposition to this policy by an overwhelming majority of countries as reflected in UN General Assembly annual voting on Cuba’s resolution condemning US embargo. During the last year this was supported by 187 member countries, opposed by only two (who else but USA and Israel) with one absentee (Ukraine). Hence there is almost universal opposition to US embargo (which is called blockade by the Cuban government) and this embargo with all its extensive sanctions should be lifted immediately. This is a clear example of an entirely avoidable humanitarian crisis which can end very easily merely by a bit of enlightened decision making on the part of the US authorities.

From its start on June 5, 2023, Cornel West’s chaotic or, in his words, “improvised” presidential campaign has been the subject of debate, ire, and scorn from commentators of various ideological shades. But the editorializing around his campaign rarely acknowledges the long tradition of Black third-party activism that West is continuing. In 1876, the orator and educator Peter H. Clark broke with the Republicans to join the nascent Workingmen’s Party, one of the earliest Marxist parties in U.S. history. Clark’s challenge to the Party of Lincoln paved the way for the novelist and pastor Sutton E. Griggs to critique U.S. imperialism and advocate for Black Populism at the turn of the 20th century. Clark and Griggs exercise direct ideological, rhetorical, and spiritual influence on West and other 21st-century Black radicals. In the introduction to the 2003 edition of Griggs’ 1899 novel, Imperium in Imperio, West calls Griggs “one of the most significant black public intellectuals at the turn of the twentieth century.”
Clark and Griggs tried to unite radicals across race based on mutual investments in social and economic justice, pacifism, and progressive spirituality. Through oratory and fiction writing, Clark and Griggs introduced Black political priorities and cultural practices to white-led movements. Both men weathered backlash for opposing the two-party system, and they consequently remain less known than contemporaries such as Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington, who maintained support, though at times reluctantly, for the GOP. While neither Clark, Griggs, nor the independent candidates they supported won office, the two reformers laid the groundwork for multiracial coalitions on the U.S. left in an era when white revolutionaries often harbored racist convictions.

It is a collective demand for change in our lives that leads to this crisis. Mobilization of the poor and the miserable in the sweatshops for social assistance, and wages, until the owners close the doors, and send them home without pay, which exacerbates the crisis at all levels. We must not forget, it is the hard-working peasants without land everywhere in the country, to denounce the grip of big multinational investors on their backs, stealing land to make industrial estates that are causing what we are living through. To conclude this reminder, we must remember it is the resistance of the disadvantaged masses against the projects of men and women of warlords in all departments of the west, metropolitan areas, to make them run away from the spaces where they founded their social, cultural, and economic life, which is responsible for this sharp crisis. How can conscious people make a political agreement on the gravity of the situation, not listen or see, but decide to return the masses to the same road to misery? On the voice of bourgeois democracy that has been oppressing them for more than ten (10) years? It is against the sovereignty and the self-determination of these people that the political groups did not act against the imposition of a multinational security mission to put US imperialism more comfortably in the country and to accept its vision.

Before we dive into this, it’s important to understand nitrogen and its role on Earth. The air human beings breathe is 78% nitrogen, 22% oxygen and 1% other stuff. Humans have been breathing nitrogen throughout their existence on Earth. Most nitrogen in Earth atmosphere is N2 molecules, which are mostly inert (chemically non-reactive). Nitrogen oxides, such as ammonia (NH3) and nitric oxide (NO) are the “bad” nitrogens that climate change people say will kill us all. But not having food will kill us all much quicker.
Nitrogen oxides are facts of life on Earth. Nitrous oxide (N2O), aka “laughing gas” and “whippets,” is the third-most abundant nitrogen oxide in the air, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Natural sources of N2O, including the oceans and ground soil under natural vegetation, account for 62% of all N2O. Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and nitric oxide (NO) are the two most prevalent nitrogen oxides. Most NO2 comes from tobacco smoke, stoves and heaters. The primary sources of NO are fossil fuel combustion and adding fertilizers to soil.
It’s true that the largest human contribution of nitrogen oxides is agriculture. But a 2017 study by the University of Virginia and The Organic Center found that organic farming (i.e. using manure and compost for fertilizer and no chemical pesticides) reduces new reactive nitrogen emissions by 64% versus “conventional” farming.
Yet less than 1% of U.S. farmland and only 4% of Dutch farmland is certified organic. Meanwhile giant corporations – Monsanto/BASF, DuPont/Dow, and Syngenta/ChemChina – make all those poisonous pesticides and own all seeds planted for foods via patents. These three companies control the entire global farming industry.
If nitrogen oxide emissions were genuinely a global concern, the powers-that-be (TPTB) could simply shut down the foregoing companies and invest in organic farming. But we all know genuine concern for humanity is not, never has been, and never will be a priority for these people.

A uniquely Ukrainian strain of Neo-Nazism is spreading throughout Europe, which openly advocates violence against minorities while seeking new recruits. With Kiev’s army collapsing and a narrative of Western betrayal gaining currency, the horror inflicted on residents of Donbas for a decade could very soon be coming to a city near you.
Centuria, an ultra-violent Ukrainian Neo-Nazi faction, has cemented itself in six cities across Germany, and is seeking to expand its local presence. According to Junge Welt, a Berlin-based Marxist daily, the Nazi organization’s growth has been “unhindered by local security services.”
Junge Welt traces Centuria’s origins to an August 2020 Neo-Nazi summit “at the edge of a forest near Kiev.” There, an ultranationalist named Igor “Tcherkas” Mikhailenko demanded the “hundreds of mostly masked vigilante fighters present,” who were members Kiev’s fascistic National Militia, “make sacrifices for the idea of ‘Greater Ukraine.’” As the former head of the Neo-Nazi Patriot of Ukraine’s Kharkiv division, and commander of the state sponsored Azov Battalion from 2014 to 2015, Mikhailenko has professed a desire to “destroy everything anti-Ukrainian.”
Junge Welt reports that since 2017, the National Militia “had been practicing brutal vigilante justice” throughout Ukraine, including “tyrannizing the LGBTQ scene.” Centuria was subsequently blamed for a terrifying November 2021 attack on a gay nightclub in Kiev, in which its operatives assaulted revelers with truncheons and pepper spray.
Now the same Neo-Nazi sect “has an offshoot in Germany,” Junge Welt revealed. On August 24 2023, the 32nd anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, Centuria convened a “nationalist rally” in the central city of Magdeburg, “unmolested by Antifa and critical media reporting.”
Participants proudly posed with the flag of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) founded by World War II-era Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera. Centuria boasted at the time on Telegram, “although Ukrainian youth are not in their homeland, they are starting to unite.” Meanwhile, they threatened the “enemies” of their country with “hellish storm,” pledging that “Ukrainian emigrants” would not “forget their national identity for a few hundred euros.”

The fundamental question is whether this retaliatory attack will lead to escalation, including an Israeli counter-attack on Iran.
In this regard, Israel is largely serving the strategic interests of the U.S. acting on behalf of Washington.

Let your allies do the Dirty Work for You. The Israeli attack against the Iran Consulate in Damas was conducted in consultation with Washington.
The geopolitical and strategic implications as well as the probability of a retaliation by Iran had been carefully analyzed.
Let’s be under no illusions. The use of nuclear weapons by Israel in response to Iran’s retaliation is being discussed behind closed doors both in Tel Aviv and in Washington. That does not mean that it is contemplated as an option.

I write this expert report as a British engineer, inventor, patent writer and weapons research scientist; an engineer with a materials science background, and inventor of the world’s first binocular optical wave guides, weapons sight systems, infrared thermal imaging head up displays, molecular reactors, signal processing, and transducer design, to name a limited few.
As Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the company that designed and brought to market the world’s first internationally approved head up display (HUD) product, accredited with a number of innovation awards, but more importantly regulated to a number of internationally recognized standards, including (DOT) Department of Transport ECE 22.05, as well as ANSI and others, I was relied upon in the establishment of international standards for augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) HUD systems.

Cyber Command USA had been made aware of my expertise and specifically requested my advice with regard to an unusual 5G antenna design deployed across the USA. I have been extremely fortunate that most (but not all) of my research and product development work has been carried out outside of the Official Secrets Acts (OSA) legislation.
I have acted as a witness and provided statements in several court cases, exposing the lack of any credible evidence that the 5G light-emitting diode (LED) network and planned neural connection to the 5G grid are safe.
This includes nano metamaterial technologies that are contaminating vaccinations, that are not legal or lawful, and that breach a number of international and domestic laws.
Judge Nolan at Newcastle Crown Court stated that “The 5G risk must be debated” and that “This is a democracy and the public have a right to know”.
The evidence I presented to the court defeated the attempt by the local authorities and actors in the British establishment to silence me from providing the published scientific evidence on the risks posed to the public and environment from the 5G urban radar network and its ultimate purpose.
The failed court action taken by the local authority created a publicity storm that helped to highlight the actual risks from the 5G deployment across the world, as well as the total lack of care taken by regulators allowing this 5G deployment.
My involvement with several research and development projects spans my entire working career and includes some of a sensitive nature due to Official Secrets Act 1911 restrictions and therefore I am not at liberty to disclose these in a public domain; suffice to say this work has led to an understanding of Department of Defense (DOD) contracts, the compartmentalization of weapon product design projects, and Directed Energy Weapons (DEW), whose existence has until recently been obscured and sometimes denied. I.1.
The use of directional microwave radiation weapons by unknown actors on US embassies in Cuba, China and Russia, known as Havana Syndrome, is still not fully recognized by the authorities. Havana Syndrome bears all the hallmarks of microwave radiation emissions, which have left victims suffering significant and irreparable neurological damage, among other injuries. The US government has been unable to keep these weapons secret and recently passed a bill to compensate embassy staff victims. I.2
The US intelligence agencies, in their communications with the Russian government, confirm that they already knew of the existence and capability of microwave radiation weapons and their appeal to their assumed Russian adversaries was for the cessation of the use of these weapons against their embassies. I.3

Words can’t express the horrors of Israel’s genocide in Gaza. To actually feel the nightmare, you would have to be there under the bombs, fleeing with Palestinians desperately seeking a safe place that doesn’t exist; seeing building after building destroyed; treading through blood in one of the few, only partially standing hospitals; and witnessing children and other patients sprawled on hospital floors, limbs amputated without anesthesia (Israel having blocked all medical supplies).
It has taken the Jewish state’s savagery to break decades of silence about its history of crimes against humanity. U.S. military historian Robert Pape has called the onslaught against Gaza “one of the most intense civilian punishment campaigns in history.” Former U.N. Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights Andrew Gilmour has said that we are witnessing “probably the highest kill rate of any military… since the Rwandan genocide of 1994.”

“Make Art Not War”

I’ve been invited to give a speech at the opening of this art exhibition on April 26. So I’m going to do that. The exhibition is called Make Art Not War. It’s being presented by the IAFF. No, not the International Association of Firefighters, the Internationale Agentur für Freiheit, a Berlin art and cultural association founded by freedom-loving artists and art lovers. The exhibition venue is the Musikbrauerei, that rather dramatic-looking building in the picture above. It’s a former brewery, built in 1888. Rumor has it, during the GDR era, it housed a Stasi “listening station.” There are still WWII air-raid bunkers in the cellar. Around the corner, in 1931, Walter Ulbricht and Joseph Goebbels engaged in a debate in the Saalbau Friedrichshain, which culminated in a Nazi vs. Communist riot.
The story goes, after Walter Ulbricht’s speech, the Communists (i.e., the KDP) began singing the Internationale to drown out Goebbels, or, as the kids say these days, “to deny him a platform.” The Nazis didn’t like that. So they attacked the Communists. And all hell broke loose. Goebbels jumped out of a window and limped off into the night, and infamy. I think the Communists won the riot. . . . .

The 5G danger can’t be overstated.
5G (5th Generation) is now being actively rolled out in many cities around the world. Simultaneously, as awareness over its horrific health and privacy impacts is rising, many places are issuing moratoriums on it or banning it, such as the entire nation of Belgium, the canton of Vaud (Switzerland) and San Francisco (USA). Radiofrequency radiation (RF or RFR) and electromagnetic fields (EMF) are being increasingly recognized as new types of pollution – environmental pollution. Here are 13 reasons exposing the 5G danger, which could turn into an unmitigated health and privacy catastrophe if enough people don’t rise up to stop it.

And it continues,
“Maternity wards are already shutting down in Italy. Ghost cities are appearing in northeastern China. Universities in South Korea can’t find enough students, and in Germany, hundreds of thousands of properties have been razed, with the land turned into parks.”
Is it all true? It remains to be verified. Omission?
At no time does the article mention the eugenist nature of deliberate population reduction, in connection with the covid plandemic, the coerced and by many accounts poisonous – vaccination campaign, with a non-vaccine, but instead a novel, totally untested mRNA-type “gene therapy” which the US CDC has allowed to be applied as an “emergency measure” in these dire circumstances of a pandemic, that actually lacks all characteristics of a pandemic, but has to be pumped up to make it appear as a pandemic – with literally almost all deaths appearing from whatever causes – even car accidents – can be – and “must” be categorized as covid deaths.

“October 23, 2022, Gates, Johns Hopkins and the World Health Organization cohosted “a global challenge exercise” dubbed “Catastrophic Contagion,”3,4 involving a novel (and as of now fictional) pathogen called “severe epidemic enterovirus respiratory syndrome 2025” or SEERS-25 for short.
Enterovirus D685 is typically associated with cold and flu-like illness in infants, children and teens. In rare cases, it’s also been known to cause viral meningitis and acute flaccid myelitis, a neurological condition resulting in muscle weakness and loss of reflexes in one or more extremities.
Enteroviruses A71 and A6 are known to cause hand, foot and mouth disease,6 while poliovirus, the prototypical enterovirus, causes polio (poliomyelitis), a potentially life-threatening type of paralysis that primarily affects children under age 5. So, the virus they modeled in this simulation appears to be something similar to enterovirus D68, but worse.
Training African Leaders to Go Along With the Narrative
Tellingly, the Catastrophic Contagion exercise focused on getting leadership in African countries involved and trained in following the script. Participants included 10 current and former Health Ministers and senior public health officials from Senegal, Rwanda, Nigeria, Angola, Liberia, Singapore, India and Germany, as well as Gates himself.”

Under the 5th and 14th Amendments to the US Constitution the transformation of our financial property into collateral for secured creditors constitutes a taking. I don’t know whether the taking that exists in the regulations can be taken to court and ruled against prior to a taking actually occurring. Probably not.
The question therefore is how effective will a court ruling be in a situation of financial chaos. Clearly, those who devised the taking regulations either were ignorant of the taking clause or do not expect a Constitutional ruling to prevail.
If the legal profession were to take up this matter, perhaps the discrediting of the regulations would render them useless and force financial regulators and Congress to find other solutions to the problem. Clearly, the ability to create endless amounts of derivatives must be abolished.

The IMF and World Bank have for decades pushed a policy agenda based on cuts to public services, increases in taxes paid by the poorest and moves to undermine labour rights and protections.
IMF ‘structural adjustment’ policies have resulted in 52% of Africans lacking access to healthcare and 83% having no safety nets to fall back on if they lose their job or become sick. Even the IMF has shown that neoliberal policies fuel poverty and inequality.
In 2021, an Oxfam review of IMF COVID-19 loans showed that 33 African countries were encouraged to pursue austerity policies. The world’s poorest countries are due to pay $43 billion in debt repayments in 2022, which could otherwise cover the costs of their food imports.
Oxfam and Development Finance International (DFI) have also revealed that 43 out of 55 African Union member states face public expenditure cuts totalling $183 billion over the next five years.
According to Prof Michel Chossudovsky of the Centre for Research on Globalization, the closure of the world economy (March 11, 2020 Lockdown imposed on more than 190 countries) has triggered an unprecedented process of global indebtedness. Governments are now under the control of global creditors in the post-COVID era.
What we are seeing is a de facto privatisation of the state as governments capitulate to the needs of Western financial institutions.
Moreover, these debts are largely dollar-denominated, helping to strengthen the US dollar and US leverage over countries.
It raises the question: what was COVID really about? . . . .
