The Fatal Contradictions of Monopoly Capitalism and the Future of Humanity.
Grenoble
November 27, 2022
Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,
In the Introduction to his 2007 book, Seeds
of Destruction: The Hidden Agenda of Genetic Manipulation , F. William Engdahl elaborates on the elitist theory which serves to frame his
historical research.
This book is the sequel to a first volume, A Century of War: Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order. It traces a second thin red line of power. This one is about the control over the very basis of human survival, our daily provision of bread. The man who served the interests of the postwar American-based elite during the 1970’s, and came to symbolize its raw realpolitik, was Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Sometime in the mid-1970’s, Kissinger, a life-long practitioner of ‘Balance of Power’ geopolitics and a man with more than a fair share of conspiracies under his belt, allegedly declared his blueprint for world domination:
‘Control the oil and you control nations. Control the food, and you control the people.’
The strategic goal to control global food security had its roots decades earlier, well before the outbreak of war in the late 1930’s. It was funded, often with little notice, by select private foundations, which had been created to preserve the wealth and power of a handful of American families.
Originally the families centered their wealth and power n New York and along the East Coast of the United States, from Boston to New York to Philadelphia and Washington D.C. For that reason, popular media accounts often referred to them, sometimes with derision but more often with praise, as the East Coast Establishment.
The center of gravity of American power shifted in the decades following the War. The East Coast Establishment was overshadowed by new centers of power which evolved from Seattle to Southern California on the Pacific Coast, as well as in Houston, Las Vegas, Atlanta and Miami, just as the tentacles of American power spread to Asia and Japan, and south, to the nations of Latin America.
In the several decades before and immediately following World War II, one family came to symbolize the hubris and arrogance of this emerging American Century more than any other. And the vast fortune of that family had been built on the blood of many wars, and on their control of a new ‘black gold,’ oil.
What was unusual about this family was that early on in the building of their fortune, the patriarchs and advisors they cultivated to safeguard their wealth decided to expand their influence over many different fields. They sought control not merely over oil, the emerging new energy source for world economic advance. They also expanded their influence over the education of youth, medicine and psychology, foreign policy of the United States, and, significantly for our story, over the very science of life itself, biology, and its applications in the world of plants and agriculture.
For the most part, their work passed unnoticed by the larger population, especially in the United States. Few Americans were aware how their lives were being subtly, and sometimes not so subtly, influenced by one or another project financed by the immense wealth of this family.
In the course of researching for this book, a work nominally on the subject of genetically modified organisms or GMO, it soon became clear that the history of GMO was inseparable from the political history of this one very powerful family, the Rockefeller family, and the four brothers – David, Nelson, Laurence and John D. III – who, in the three decades following American victory in World War II, the dawn of the much-heralded American Century, shaped the evolution of power George Kennan referred to in 1948.
In actual fact, the story of GMO is that of the evolution of power in the hands of an elite, determined at all costs to bring the entire world under their sway.
Three decades ago, that power was based around the Rockefeller family. Today, three of the four brothers are long-since deceased, several under peculiar circumstances. However, as was their will, their project of global domination - ‘full spectrum dominance’ as the Pentagon later called it – had spread, often through a rhetoric of ‘democracy,’ and was aided from time to time by the raw military power of that empire when deemed necessary. Their project evolved to the point where one small power group, nominally headquartered in Washington in the early years of the new century, stood determined to control future and present life on this planet to a degree never before dreamed of. (pp.xiii-xvi)
. . .
Their aim is rather, the ultimate control over future life on this planet, a supremacy earlier dictators and despots only ever dreamt of. Left unchecked, the present group behind the GMP Project is between one and two decades away from total dominance of the planet’s food capacities. This aspect of the GMO story needs telling. I therefore invite the reader to a careful reading and independent verification or reasoned refutation of what follows.(p.xvii)
An alternative theoretical framework, for such indispensible
research is the systemic theory of class struggle, which we will discuss at a
later date. For the moment, the so-called elites (which James Corbett refers to as “the
elitists,” thereby connoting a measure of self-delusion) dominate this history,
and our human response to this literature is: to hate them, or to love them, or
to fear them – or to hold all three of these sentiments for them
simultaneously.
More to come ….
The 24+ items below represent contemporary
articles and essays in the Anglophone offering critical views and analysis of current

Why is the University of California
trying to KILL its students, faculty and staff?
by Mark

Is that why its top managers
want EVERYBODY boosted? Or are they just corrupted by Big Pharma's
revenues, and therefore in denial of the risks? Some well-informed (and brave)
professors want to know.
Letter: “Critical Dissidence”,

UC Professors Decry Dangerous
Booster Mandates for Students, Faculty, and Staff
Administrators and Student
Newspapers Ignore Scholars' Plea for Sanity
Below is a letter published
yesterday at NoCollegeMandates
(https://nocollegemandates.substack.com/p/letter-from-10-professors-to-the) signed
by 10 University of California professors decrying the UC’s mandating booster
shots for all students, faculty, and staff.
The letter was originally sent to
University administrators— who never responded. It was also sent to nine UC
student newspapers for publication as an Op-Ed. The editors at
UCLA's Daily Bruin and the Daily Cal (UC-Berkeley) were
initially enthusiastic, but subsequently went silent, and have not published,
presumably because coerced, intimidated, or otherwise threatened with reprisals
from higher ups who did not want the letter published; not surprising when you
learn that UC President Michael V. Drake MD recently joined the Board of
Directors at Amgen, one of the world’s largest multinational biopharmaceutical
companies.

Dissidence! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.
For several years, mainstream
news and social media have consistently and willfully ignored, suppressed,
censored, and otherwise withheld from public view highly credible expert data
contrary to the vaccine cartel narrative, because they are, about 75% of the
time, “brought to you by Pfizer” et. al, and have
substantial financial and other interests in keeping such information hidden.
Sadly, it appears UC student
newspapers are likewise compromised. Their lack of courage and integrity
further illustrate the all-encompassing and pernicious tyranny enabled and
perpetuated by indifference and/or lack of awareness from those who could and
should be searching out the truth— what used to be, but is no longer, the
raison d'etre of “journalism”— and the cornerstone of
a free society.
The professors’ letter (my
emphasis added) deserves the widest circulation possible. Please help share its
urgent message of sanity.

We write to register deep dismay over UC’s
September 22, 2022 memorandum mandating a fall 2022 COVID-19
booster for all students, staff, and faculty. Our concerns are driven by the
scientific information on the virus and on the vaccines that we have now
accumulated nearly three years into the outbreak.
Our concerns in brief:
First, University of California
Office of the President justified the original mandate on the
assumption that vaccination would protect against COVID-19 infection and
prevent transmission. We now know it does neither, a fact
acknowledged by the CDC, the FDA, the HHS, the WHO, health ministries and
medical researchers around the world, and now, by Pfizer itself.
Moreover, more than 150 peer-reviewed studies demonstrate that natural
immunity acquired by recovering from a COVID-19 infection is equal
to if not superior to vaccination, and that paradoxically, over time, COVID-19
shots increase rather
than decrease the risk of contracting and
spreading the virus. One May 2022 article in the
high-impact British
Medical Journal has warned that “mandatory vaccine policies are scientifically
questionable and are likely to cause more societal harm than good.” The
CDC has “recommended” and not mandated the new booster. The
University’s decision to mandate boosters at this time is
therefore not in accordance with CDC guidelines. Moreover, the
CDC recently greatly relaxed its COVID-19 guidelines and no longer recommends
making distinctions based on a person’s vaccination status.
Second, mounting evidence
demonstrates serious risks associated
with vaccination, especially for healthy males 18-39, where risks may outweigh
benefits. A Florida Department
of Health analysis of mortality following mRNA COVID-19 vaccination,
to cite one study, reported an 84 percent increase in death for men
18-39 within 28 days of vaccination. Also, well documented is
the elevated risk of myocarditis, pericarditis,
and emergency cardiovascular events among those under 40, a demographic
that includes the vast majority of our student body and large portions of staff
and faculty. The Florida study also showed that males over 60 had a 10
percent increased risk of cardiac-related death in the same 28-day period, and
that non-mRNA vaccines did not have those increased risks in any
population. Multiple data sources show that young healthy people
who contract COVID-19 have a recovery rate of 99.995 percent.
In March 2022, a court order
compelled Pfizer to release 55,000 pages of internal reports on vaccine
effectiveness and side effects. Among the 1,246 different adverse
effects in Pfizer’s own documents were cardiac
arrest, deep vein thrombosis, immune-mediated hepatitis, myocarditis,
brain stem embolism and thrombosis, interstitial lung disease, juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, liver injury, and multisystem
inflammatory syndrome. Another study by
medical researchers, including one of our colleagues at UCSF, found that 22,000-30,000
previously uninfected adults aged 18-29 must be boosted with an mRNA vaccine to
prevent just one COVID-19 hospitalization, and that “booster
mandates may cause a net expected harm: per COVID-19 hospitalization prevented
in previously uninfected young adults, we anticipate 18 to 98 serious adverse
events, including 1.7 to 3.0 booster-associated myocarditis
cases in males, and 1,373 to 3,234 cases of grade ≥3 reactogenicity.”
Data from CDC’s official Vaccine
Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) released
on July 15, 2022, show 1,350,950 reports of adverse events for all
age groups following COVID-19 vaccines, including 29,635 deaths and 246,676
serious injuries. It is well documented that fewer
than one percent of all vaccine-associated adverse events are ever reported to
the CDC’s VAERS. This means that actual morbidity or mortality is
many times greater, as pointed out, among other sources, by a recent
HHS-funded Harvard Medical School vaccine injury study. Another study published
by UCLA Professors Sander Greenland and Patrick Whelan and others in the
high-impact journal Vaccine in September, 2022 lamented the lack
of “full transparency of the COVID-19 vaccine clinical trial data” and
called for a harm-benefit analysis of the vaccines.
Third, while we are not
against vaccination for those who choose it, we are deeply concerned about the
coercive nature of this medical procedure. Any medical treatment must
be an individual choice and should be made in consultation with one’s
physician. Never before in medical history has an entire
population been required to receive a vaccine approved only for emergency
use, for which there are no long-term data, and without informed consent, that,
as a matter of law and ethics, requires that no one be coerced into a medical
treatment. The shift in UC policy from fully vaccinated to up-to-date signals
anticipation of an open-ended process of continuous vaccinations and boosters
that goes far beyond addressing a temporary emergency.
The LAUSD (among others)
suspended its vaccine mandate for students and staff in September 2022, after a
Superior Court judge ruled that the school district did not have the authority
to mandate vaccination. The State of California has not mandated boosters for
anyone except health workers. Nationwide, the trend is toward eliminating
all mandates. The rate of hospitalizations is radically down and COVID-19
related deaths now appear to be about on par with annual deaths from the
flu. In contrast, “excess,” sudden, unexpected unexplained deaths
have skyrocketed since
the rollout of the experimental vaccines. Even Bill Gates, who
helped finance and promote the COVID-19 vaccination campaign, has now
acknowledged: “We didn’t understand that it’s a fairly low fatality rate
and that it’s a disease mainly in the elderly, kind of like flu.”
If UC leadership continues to
insist on this ill-advised action, are they ready to accept full personal
responsibility and legal liability for the multitude of harms certain
to result?

In
2017, the then Monsanto Chief Technology Officer Robb Fraley argued that his company made a mistake in
not reaching out to the public about genetically modified organisms (GMOs) when
they first appeared on the market in the 1990s.
He
felt consumers had been unduly swayed by an anti-GMO movement and the industry
got its PR campaign wrong first time around.
Fraley
said the industry and universities currently involved in rolling out genome
editing technology have done a much more extensive communication to both the
public and key regulatory and policy makers.
The
industry’s message is that gene editing can precisely delete and insert genes
in an organism’s DNA and presents no risks.
However,
there is sufficient research indicating that the technology is error prone, the effects of editing are not controllable
and there is no simple pathway between gene and trait. Gene editing has
unexpected outcomes and risks, and unintended mutations and off-target effects
occur.
These issues have been noted in various articles, reports and papers which are listed on the GMWatch website.
Even intended modifications can result in traits which could raise food safety, environmental or animal welfare concerns.Various
scientific publications show that new GM techniques allow developers to make
significant genetic changes, which can be very different from those that happen
in nature. These new GMOs pose similar or greater risks than
older-style GMOs.
Despite gene editing being touted by the industry as ‘precision
breeding’, it is anything but.

People Dying
in Their Sleep Linked to Vaccines, Explains Dr. Peter McCullough, Cardiologist
by Dr. Jennifer Margulis
At a
conference for medical professionals in Sedona, Arizona this past weekend,
several speakers–all physicians–commented on a disturbing trend: an increase in otherwise healthy people
dying in their sleep.
Sudden
unexplained age-inappropriate deaths seem to be happening more than usual, both
in the United States, where these medical doctors practice, and in several
other countries in the industrialized world.
Excess death
“is a phenomenon all over the world at the moment,” said Dr. John Campbell, a
nurse educator who has been meticulously following and commenting on the
scientific data for his YouTube channel, which has
2.47 million subscribers.
The data
shows that “deaths are 16 percent higher than we would expect,” Dr. Campbell
said in a recent video, “and the
vast majority of these are not COVID deaths.”
Statistics
tell part of the story. Unusual deaths making headlines tell another part.
For example,
South African actress, Franci Swanepoel,
was found dead in her bed on Sunday morning, October 16. She was in the middle
of filming a new project. Swanepoel was 50 years old.
Her cause of death is not yet known, according to news reports.
Earlier this month, a young dad, Jack Grozier,
was also found dead at his home in New Cumnock,
Scotland. Just hours before, he had texted his girlfriend to say that he’d talk
to her the next morning. Grozier was 23. He leaves
behind a one-year-old son, according to the Irish Mirror.
Seventeen-year-old Gwen Casten, whose father is
a lawmaker in the state of Illinois, also died in her sleep.
On October 7, 2022, Casten’s family issued a statement on Instagram explaining
that their daughter, who had no known health or behavioral problems, died of a
heart arrhythmia of an unknown cause.
“She had just
come home from an evening with friends, went to bed and didn’t wake up,” the
statement read.
Dr. Peter
McCullough, a cardiologist who is board-certified in internal medicine and
cardiovascular disease, who presented at the conference, said that when
people—especially young people—die in their sleep the underlying cause is often
myocarditis.
Myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart, can lead to
irregular heart rhythms that can be lethal without immediate treatment.

“The Covid mRNA Vaccine Causes Cardiac Arrests,
Heart Attacks, Strokes… : Leading British
Cardiologist, Dr. Aseem Malhotra,
and Dr. Peter McCullough Independently Come to Same Conclusion
by John Leake
“The Covid mRNA vaccine has likely played a significant role or
been a primary cause of unexpected cardiac arrests, heart attacks, strokes,
cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure since 2021…”
Until the
British cardiologist, Dr. Aseem Malhotra, expressed grave concern about the safety of Covid mRNA vaccines, he was one of the most celebrated
doctors in Britain. In 2016 he was named in the Sunday Times Debrett’s list as one of the most influential people in
science and medicine in the UK in a list that included Professor Stephen
Hawking. His total Altmetric score (measure of
impact and reach) of his medical journal publications since 2013 is over 10,000
making it one of the highest in the World for a clinical doctor during this
period.
In the early
days of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Britain, he advocated the injections
for the general public. However, in July of 2021, he experienced a terrible
personal loss that caused him to reevaluate the shots—namely, the sudden and
unexpected death of his 73-year-old father. His father’s death made no sense to
him because he knew from his own examination that his father’s general
and cardiac health were excellent. As he put it in a recent interview:
His
postmortem findings really shocked me. There were two severe blockages in his
coronary arteries, which didn’t really make any sense with everything I know,
both as a cardiologist—someone who has expertise in this particular area—but
also intimately knowing my dad’s lifestyle and his health. Not long after that,
data started to emerge that suggested a possible link between the mRNA vaccine
and increased risk of heart attacks from a mechanism of increasing inflammation
around the coronary arteries. But on top of that, I was contacted by a
whistleblower at a very prestigious university in the UK, a cardiologist
himself, who explained to me that there was a similar research finding in his
department, and that those researchers had decided to essentially cover that up
because they were worried about losing funding from the pharmaceutical
industry. But it doesn’t stop there. I then started looking at data in the UK
to see if there had been any increase in cardiac arrest. My dad suffered a
cardiac arrest and sudden cardiac death at home. Had there been any change in
the UK since the vaccine rollout? And again those findings were very clear.
There’s been an extra 14,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests in 2021 vs 2020.
The more Dr. Malhotra looked into it, the more he felt the same concern
about the safety of the mRNA vaccines that Dr. Peter McCullough had felt since
the spring of 2021. The alarming incidence of sudden, unexpected deaths during
the latter half of 2021 and the first eight months of 2022—especially among the
young and fit—strengthened his grave concern and suspicion.
In September
of 2022,—after a thorough investigation of the growing volume of data—he came
to his conclusion:
The Covid mRNA vaccine has likely played a significant role or
been a primary cause of unexpected cardiac arrests, heart attacks, strokes,
cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure since 2021 until proven otherwise.
His
conclusion, including his precise verbal formulation of it, was identical to
the conclusion drawn by Dr. Peter McCullough. Though the two doctors ultimately
established contact to compare notes, they reached their conclusions based on
their own, independent inquiries, before they spoke with each other.
Recently the Vaccine Safety Research Foundation produced Until Proven Otherwise— a short
video documentary about the corroborating findings of these two leading
cardiologists. I believe it is no exaggeration to say that the gripping,
four-minute video is a MUST SEE for everyone. Please share it
with your family and friends.

Most people don’t know about this news.
Finding updates on the court case against the FDA requires lots of
digging online.
Especially when it’s about the FDA being sued for
misleading the public about the off-label use of Ivermectin
during the pandemic.
Not only is it LEGAL and a LONG STANDING practice for doctors to
prescribe medications off-label, it’s also a crucial element to their ability
to treat patients.
Without it, patients suffered.
Surprised?
Nah, you shouldn’t be. It’s par for the course.
Those that know the truth, know that Dr. Fauci played the role of “grandmaster” in removing the use
of Ivermectin and “HCQ” from the marketplace…
Out of necessity to promote his big pharma drugs.
There is a great article summarizing the issue you can read HERE.
It’s nice and
to the point so you should give it a minute to read.
A couple
weeks ago the FDA was in court answering questions.
You can read
how they are trying to word play their way out of any wrongdoing in this
article HERE.
Both are eye

The USA
Caused the War in Ukraine, and Only the USA Can End It
https://www.globalresearch.ca/usa-caused-war-ukraine-only-usa-can-end-it/5799877
by Bryan Davies
While United
States infrastructure has been rotting away and
entire cities[1] don’t even have access to clean drinking water, the
Biden Administration and the entire Democratic Party elite have given over $54
billion in military aid[2] to Ukraine from February, 2022 to the
present.
Reading
mainstream news, we’re led to believe that this invasion was unprovoked[3];
unpredictable; and a story of a rogue[4] authoritarian[5]
state preying on a weaker, open, democratic society, fighting for the future of
democracy in the Western world[6].
We’re led to
believe that this war started in February with Russia’s invasion. In reality,
this war has been going on for 8 years, fueled by American support. This
support has largely been funneled to neo-Nazis and ultranationalist elements
fundamentally opposed to democracy.
So, what’s
the real story? Could this crisis have been predicted, and if so, avoided?
In 1989,
during negotiations with the Soviet Union on the reunification of Germany, an
informal agreement was made that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)
would not expand eastward — “Not one inch”.[7]
This was acknowledged by both the US and NATO, which now assert that because
they never put this agreement in writing, it is not binding.[8]
Therefore, they claim NATO has done nothing wrong and nothing to provoke a war
with Russia. But the Russian perspective is very different.
To truly
understand Russia’s motivations and have any hope of achieving peace, we must grapple with the Russian perspective on its own terms. It does no good to
dismiss history and context while claiming
Russian irrationality. We must understand the historical and geopolitical
context to know which forces are at play so we
can chart a realistic pathway to peace.

They See Only the Bad Old Days of the Soviet Union.
The CIA, thanks to Hollywood and fanboys, enjoys an undeserved reputation for competence in carrying out espionage and covert actions.
I am fascinated by the delusional punditry offered by former CIA officers, such as Douglas London and Steven Hall. Full disclosure, Hall was a young 20 something in my Career Trainee class (we entered on duty in September 1985). He is emblematic, in my opinion, of the problems that have plagued the CIA over the last thirty years–he was a legacy, i.e. got into the agency in part because his Daddy preceded him.
Steven Hall [Source: sltrib.com]
Steve, if you recall, was one of the liars who signed a letter declaring that Hunter Biden’s laptop had all the earmarks of Russian disinformation. Attaching himself to such a libelous letter (he was impugning the character of John Paul Mac Isaac) highlights his tendency to follow the herd and eschew critical thinking.
But I want to focus on Douglas London. He is popping up all over media, especially CNN and the Wall Street Journal, and offering analysis that ranges from the banal to the delusional.
Consider this snippet, published in the Wall Street Journal, in March:
“I spent 34 years in the Central Intelligence Agency’s clandestine service, and watching Vladimir Putin’s brutal war in Ukraine from the sidelines fills me with both sadness and a sense of opportunity. Espionage is a predatory business, and there’s blood in the water. Mr. Putin’s self-inflicted damage has done more to turn his own people against him than anything the West could have done. . . .
Russian mystique is gone. Mr. Putin has proved his country is the declining power that the best-informed Russia watchers claimed it was. Fewer pundits will wax poetic over Mr. Putin’s cunning and strategic brilliance. He might have been a capable operations officer during his KGB career, but he clearly missed the classes on self-awareness and counterintelligence. The more he tightens the security screws and covers Russia’s window to the world, the more likely those he depends on will turn against him.”

North-South
Transit Corridor (NSTC): Alternative to Suez Canal, as Russia, India and Iran
Ties Expand
by Uriel Araujo
Earlier this
month a high-ranking Russian delegation,
including Igor Levitin, advisor to Russian President
Vladimir Putin, visited Iran and met with Iranian Transport and Urban Development
Minister Rostam Qasemi to
discuss the increasing Russian-Iranian transport relations. On November 15,
Tehran hosted a major Iran-Russia business forum, attended by a 120-member
Russian delegation.
Among other
things, it focused on developing Iranian infrastructure for expanding trade. It
is no coincidence Moscow has proposed to participate in Iranian railway
projects. With the current conflict in Eurasia, the North-South Transit
Corridor (INSTC) is under the spotlight, and, defying sanctions, Iran can once
again become a regional transit hub, as it always was historically. And Russia
can help the Persian nation to develop its railway network.
Addressing
the aforementioned forum, Sergey Katyrin,
President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation,
said Russia and Iran eye achieving a $40 billion annual trade, as both nations
expect to enhance their trade agreements – which were strengthened by the 2019
Iran-Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Free Trade Agreement.
With the
sanctions imposed on Russia after the ongoing Ukrainian conflict, and European
borders closing themselves to Russian goods, Moscow has turned its eyes to the
East, and to the INSTC. Iran due to its strategic location, for thousands of
years in fact played a key role as a route along the Silk Road for transporting
goods from west to east. However, in the last decades, due to conflicts,
sanctions and infrastructures problems, this potential has not been exploited.
Current conditions may offer just such an opportunity.

The US-Nazi
Connection Since World War II: From Inspiring the
Third Reich to Supporting the Neo-Nazis of Ukraine
by Timothy Alexander Guzman
The mafia in
Washington, London, Brussels and Tel Aviv would do anything to keep their “Unipolar World Order” project in place, in fact, there are
getting desperate to hold on to whatever remaining powers they have left even
if it means collaborating with its worst enemies. There is a well-known ancient
proverb “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” that rings true today especially
since Washington, the CIA, the Military-Industrial Complex, along with Mossad and NATO have supported well-known terrorists
including the Islamic State (ISIS), Al Qaeda, and other groups to overthrow
governments they don’t approve of especially in the Middle East.
However,
their support of terrorists who were their enemies at one time or another did
not start with their regime change wars against Syria or Libya, the idea of supporting its enemies
began during and after World War II when the US government recruited Ukrainian
Nazis to counter their new enemy, the Soviet Union. What a strange turn of
events knowing that the Soviets who fought the Nazis with their American and
European allies during the war were seen as a new threat. Washington and the
rest of their mafia cohorts used the Nazis back then as they are now using jihadi terrorists today in their war for world domination
no matter what the costs are in the long-term.
So who were
the Nazis and why was Washington interested in recruiting them in the first
place? For starters, the Nazis had members involved in several scientific and
technological disciplines that the US government was interested in and would
later utilize them to produce all sorts of weapons of war and psychological
operations for its future military operations, but we will get into further
details shortly.
However, the
Nazis did follow a far-right fascist ideology that was authoritarian that
coincided with ultranationalist principals that rejected anarchy, communism,
democracy, republicanism, socialism and other forms of government that was seen
as a threat to their rising power. And as insane as this sounds, the Nazis also
used scientific racism, or what
we can call eugenics to manipulate human gene pools by separating certain
groups of people between those who are considered inferior to advancing those
who were deemed superior. Then there is the element of antisemitism that was prevalent within the Third Reich.
Nazism has led to genocide, torture, forced sterilizations, imprisonment of its
opposition, deportations and other atrocities among those who did not fit the
profile of being an ultra-nationalist especially if you did not have the racial
qualities that they demanded for their movement.
If we look
back into the history of fascism, its roots were based in Europe when Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte ‘aka’ Napoleon III ruled France with an
iron fist from 1848 to 1852 had the elements of a fascist/Nazi state.

Sleeping With
The Third Reich: America's Unspoken
"Alliance" with Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union
by Prof Michel Chossudovsky
Nazi Germany
largely depended on oil shipments from US Standard Oil.
Prescott Bush was a partner of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co and director of Union Banking Corporation which had close relations with German corporate
interests including Thyssen Steel, a major company involved in the Third Reich’s weapons
industry.
“…[N]ew documents, declassified [in 2003], show that even after
America had entered the war [December 8, 1941] and when there was already
significant information about the Nazis’ plans and policies, he [Prescott Bush]
worked for and profited from companies closely involved with the very German
businesses that financed Hitler’s rise to power. It has also been suggested
that the money he made from these dealings helped to establish the Bush family
fortune and set up its political dynasty” (The Guardian, September
25, 2004).
Without US
support to Nazi Germany, the Third Reich would not have been able to wage war
on the Soviet Union. Germany’s oil production was insufficient to wage a major
military campaign. Throughout the war, the Third Reich relied on regular
shipments of crude oil from US Standard Oil
owned by the Rockefeller family.
The main
producing countries in the early 1940s were: the United States (50% of global
oil production), the Soviet Union, Venezuela, Iran, Indonesia, and Romania.
Without a
steady supply of oil, Germany would not have been able to conduct Operation
Barbarossa which was launched on June 22, 1941. The invasion of the Soviet
Union was intent upon reaching and taking control of the oil resources of the
Soviet Union in the Caucasus and Caspian sea regions:
the oil of Baku.

No Way Out
for the USA
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/57356.htm
by Jeff Thomas
“Gold
is the money of kings… debt is the money of slaves.” - Norm Franz
On the
surface, it would appear that the US is in the catbird seat: Since Bretton Woods in 1944, the US has been able to dictate the
economy to its trading partners and, to a lesser extent, the rest of the world.
Those countries that got on board the Bretton Woods Choo-Choo would be the world’s leaders in commerce, and the
rest would take second shrift.
This was
possible because, at the end of the war, the US had been supplying the allies
with most of their armaments and materiel and had insisted on being paid in
gold. By 1944, they held the great majority of the world’s gold and had the
most productive manufacturing facilities. They were in a position to call all
the shots, and the countries that subsequently made up the First World went
along for the ride.
But by the
1970s, the US went off the gold standard and was paying for imports with US
Treasuries. This was seen to be a boon at the time, as the Treasuries could be
created from thin air, and the demands by the US became boundless. The US
became the biggest house on the block, but it was, in fact, a house of cards,
which was only as good as the currency it was built upon – not true money but
debt.
To paraphrase
Norm Franz, “Gold is the money of kings… debt is the money of slaves.”
The US was,
from 1971 on, in the business of enslaving its partners. Along the way, it
became more economical to outsource manufacturing, and, over the ensuing
decades, the production of most goods came from countries other than the US.
But a wrinkle
occurred in recent decades: some of the overseas suppliers of goods, and in
particular, energy were now building up their ability for world trade to the
point that the US itself was no longer essential. Indeed, better business could
often be created between countries without going through the US, and the US was
becoming an obstacle to the economic advancement of other nations.
In recent
decades, China and Russia have emerged as the most essential providers of goods
and energy, respectively, precisely at the time that the US had planned to
establish globalism – dominance over the entire world by the US, with the
backup support of the other First World countries, most notably, Europe.
As long as
the other First World countries continued to endorse American diktat to the
world, US hegemony would not only continue but expand.
But then,
Russia threw a rather major wrench into the works: the Nord Steam pipeline
already supplied much of the natural gas to Europe, allowing it to heat its
homes and run its factories. With the addition of Nord Stream II, a tipping
point was reached: the great majority of Europe’s essential energy, which it
was unable to produce itself, could be gotten from Russia and at a price that
no other supplier could match.
What’s often
overlooked in the discussion of the importance of Nord Stream II is that, from
the first day that the tap was to be turned on to supply Europe, US hegemony
would end. Although the US had succeeded in dominating European policy over the
last half-century, that situation had now reversed. In a choice between
pleasing the US and pleasing the eastern suppliers of goods and energy,
Europe’s default position would now be with Asia, not the US.
In this one
seemingly minor change in supply, the hegemony of the US would cease. And, more
troublingly, US power had been a house of cards for decades. It was no
longer a manufacturing titan; in fact, it now produced little besides debt. It
had once used its manufacturing capacity to bully its trading partners, but now
this power had become a mere remnant.
In recent decades, the US has been operating on its past laurels and the
assumption that it was the big boy on the block and must be obeyed, no matter
how unreasonable its demands were.
When US federal and corporate leaders realised
their dilemma, they understood that they had only one last-ditch option: war.
Historically, this is always the last play of a dying empire: when you’re
about to lose everything, a major war must be created as a
distraction to buy time.
A small war is only a temporary respite. A major war serves to upset the
world as a whole. If the world can be turned upside down, perhaps there’s a
chance that the dying empire can actually survive with some of its power
intact.
If not, the empire goes the way of the dodo. It slips away into
insignificance or even extinction.
And this is where the US now finds itself. The shift to the Asian century
is well underway. Quietly, one nation after another is shifting its trade and
its deference to the Asian leaders. Those countries like Saudi Arabia, that can
make dramatic shifts and do so safely, will be bolder in their shift. Less
powerful countries will be a bit more subtle, tiptoeing away from their former
master. And that, too, is now underway.
But again, the key ally of the US – the one without which it could not be
an empire – has been Europe.
The EU is already on the ropes; it was a misconceived experiment from the
start and has now begun to splinter. Although no major breakup has begun, the
rot is already beyond any possible salvage, and the dictates of Brussels are
encountering refusals by some member countries.
With the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines, it has become quietly
apparent in Germany and other EU countries that they will be facing extreme
hardships as a result. They can no longer back out of their support for the US
push to create warfare in Ukraine. Additionally, they face the US attempt to
draw all the NATO countries into war with Russia – a suicidal prospect for
Europe.
The US, in its desperation to escalate the war, has begun to suggest that
a “limited nuclear war” might be advisable, but Europe understands that a
limited nuclear war is akin to being “a little bit pregnant.”
Europe would not survive such a war.
And so, Germany has begun the pull away from the US. President Olaf Scholz has personally gone to Beijing to broker peace. In
doing so, he also makes a clear statement: Germany is acknowledging that it is
moving over to a new master.
To be sure, the US will not take this lightly.
There will be collective nail-biting in the First World countries as the
average man wonders and worries whether the US will do the sane
thing and back away from warfare. What the average man does not understand is
that, whilst this may be the best choice for the average man and the world in
general, it would be the end for those who rule the US. The US
would slide inexorably into a lesser state, or even fragment, leaving the US
elite with no empire to rule.
This, above all, cannot be tolerated. And, so, it’s important to
understand that, to the rulers of the US empire, this
is an all-or-nothing game.
And to be clear, it’s a game that cannot be won. The US no longer
produces much; it no longer has a meaningful balance of trade; it’s the most
indebted nation in world history; it’s broke, and it can no longer win a protracted
war.
And, to reiterate, the US has no other option at this point. It has
destroyed all its other options and has no way out of its dilemma – its
modern-day Thucydides Trap. As such, it will not go quietly. Much like a
cornered rat, it will make a last attempt to take down as many others as it can
on its way out.
That should give us pause. Those who wish to avoid becoming collateral
damage as the behemoth falls would be advised to extricate themselves,
economically and even geographically, from the dying empire.

Maligned in
Western Media, Donbass Forces are Defending
their Future from Ukrainian Shelling and Fascism
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/57358.htm
by Eva Bartlett
Smeared,
stigmatized, and lied about in Western media propaganda, the mostly
Russian-speaking people of the Donbass region were
being slaughtered by the thousands in a brutal war of “ethnic cleansing”
launched against them by the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv, which the U.S. installed
after the CIA overthrew Ukraine’s legally elected president in a 2014 coup.
Although the Donbass people had been pleading for Russian military aid
to defend them against the increasingly murderous military assaults by the
Ukraine government forces, which killed more than 14,000 of their people,
Russian President Vladimir Putin declined to intervene. Instead, he tried to
broker a peace agreement between the warring parties.
But the U.S.
and Britain secretly colluded to sabotage peace negotiations, persuading
president Zelenksy to ignore the Minsk III peace
agreement that the Ukraine government had previously signed, and which had been
countersigned by Russia, France and Germany.
Realizing
that the U.S. and its NATO allies would never permit peace negotiations to
succeed, Putin finally sent troops into Ukraine on February 24. Russian troops
went in to support and reinforce the outnumbered and outgunned Donbass Special Forces who had been defending their land
against attacks by the Kyiv government for nearly eight years.
Voices From the Frontlines of Former Eastern Ukraine Republics
In the
Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in October, I went to a frontline outpost 70
meters from Ukrainian forces in Avdeevka (north and
west of Donetsk), according to the Donbas commanders I
spoke with there.
To reach that
position, I went with two other journalists to a meeting point with two
commanders of Pyatnashka—volunteer fighters, including Abkhazi, Slovak, Russian, Ossetian
and other nationalities, including locals from Donbas.
From there,
they drove us to a point as far as they could drive before walking the rest of
the way, several minutes through brush and trenches, eventually coming to their
sandbagged wood and cement fortified outpost.
It has
changed hands over the years, Ukrainian forces sometimes occupying it, Donbas
forces now controlling it.
One soldier,
a unit commander who goes by the call sign “Vydra” (Otter),
was formerly a miner from the DPR who had been living in Russia with his
family. In 2014, he returned to the Donbas to defend his mother and relatives
still there. He spoke of the outpost.
“We dug and
built this with our hands. Several times over the years, the Ukrainians have
taken these positions. We pushed them back, they stormed us…Well, we have been fighting each other for eight years.”
There,
artillery fire is the biggest danger they face. “You can hide from a sniper,
but not from artillery, and they’re using large caliber.”

Putin’s
‘Winter War’ on Ukraine
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/57359.htm
by Patrick J.
Buchanan
Winter has
often proven an indispensable ally of Mother Russia.
The impending
winter of 1812-13 forced Napoleon’s withdrawal from Moscow, a retreat from
which his Grande Armee never recovered.
The winter of
1941-42 sealed the ultimate fate of the invading armies of Adolf Hitler’s Third
Reich.
Vladimir
Putin’s new strategy in the war he launched on Ukraine in February is to
conscript the coming winter of 2022-23 as an ally of his failing army.
For weeks,
there have been reports of Russian air, missile and drone strikes on power
plants in every major Ukrainian city.
The false
report that a Russian-fired rocket had landed in Poland, killing two civilians,
came on a day when 100 Russian bombs, rockets, missiles and drones hit
“infrastructure” targets across Ukraine.
It was the
heaviest Russian barrage to date in the nine-month war.
Putin’s goal:
As the Ukrainian army battles the Russian army in the
Donbas and Kherson, the power grid upon which the Ukrainian nation and people
depend is to be systematically attacked, shut down, destroyed.
Without
electric power, there will be no light or heat in Ukrainian homes, hospitals,
offices or schools. Without electricity, food cannot be preserved, stoves do
not work, water cannot be pumped.
Without
power, light and heat, Putin’s expectation is that the Ukrainian people, who
have patriotically supported their army, will, in the tens of thousands this
winter, be at risk of freezing to death in the dark.
Winter, from
mid-December to mid-March, is the coldest and darkest of the seasons, and it
begins in four weeks.
On Friday,
CNN reported that, after the latest wave of Russian strikes, 10 million
Ukrainians, a fourth of the nation, were without power.

Where Has the DoDs
Money Gone? The Pentagon Fails Its Fifth Audit. $3.5 Trillion in Assets, 39% of
which are accounted for…
https://www.globalresearch.ca/pentagon-fails-its-fifth-audit-row/5800096
by Connor Echols
Last week,
the Department of Defense revealed that it had
failed its fifth consecutive audit.
“I would not
say that we flunked,” said DoD
Comptroller Mike McCord, although
his office did note that the Pentagon only managed to account for 39 percent of
its $3.5 trillion in assets. “The process is important for us to do, and it is
making us get better. It is not making us get better as fast as we want.”
The news came
as no surprise to Pentagon watchers. After all, the U.S. military has the
distinction of being the only U.S. government agency to have never passed a
comprehensive audit.
But what did
raise some eyebrows was the fact that DoD
made almost no progress in this year’s bookkeeping: Of the 27 areas
investigated, only seven earned a clean bill of financial health, which McCord
described as “basically the same picture as last year.”
Given this
accounting disaster, it should come as no surprise that the Pentagon has a
habit of bad financial math. This is especially true when it comes to
estimating the cost of weapons programs.
The
Pentagon’s most famous recent boondoggle is the F-35 program, which has gone over its original
budget by $165 billion to date. But examples of overruns abound: As Sens.
Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) and Jack Reed (D-RI) wrote in 2020, the
lead vessel for every one of the Navy’s last eight combatant ships came
in at least 10 percent over budget, leading to more than $8 billion in
additional costs.
And another
major overrun is poised to happen soon, according to a recent report from the
Congressional Budget Office.

Globalism and
the Contradictions of "Populism": Immigration Skirmishes Between Italy and France
https://www.globalresearch.ca/immigration-skirmishes-between-italy-france/5799852
by Enzo Pellegrin
In one of the best known and most beautiful fragments of
The German Ideology of 1846, Marx and Engels summarized:
“The ideas of the ruling class are in every epoch the ruling ideas, i.e.
the class which is the ruling material force of society, is at the same
time its ruling intellectual force. The class which has the means of material
production at its disposal, has control at the
same time over the means of mental production, so that thereby, generally
speaking, the ideas of those who lack the means of mental production are
subject to it. The ruling ideas are nothing more than the ideal expression
of the dominant material relationships, the dominant material relationships
grasped as ideas.”
So far so good, but the most interesting aspect is not that which
concerns the sphere of so-called “conformism,” but that of dissenting
reactions, generated by what is just as Marx used to call contradictions.
Another 20th-century Marxist, Ernesto Laclau,
in his reflections on hegemony, populism and socialist strategy, liked to speak
of “unsatisfied questions.”
We can experimentally note how in recent years of Italian politics, the
so-called contradictions or
unsatisfied questions have been managed by a particular kind of
“populism.”
The crisis of traditional parties, after the 1980s, have been managed
with populist concepts such as “the cancer of corruption,” the “corrupt
parasitism of the south” concepts from time to time used by parties such as Lega Nord and Movimento
Cinque Stelle (almost for the first argument).
Alongside these, almost all formations that have made use of “populism”
have never failed to reserve a place for the immigration issue: not only Lega Nord, from its beginnings to recent times, but also Movimento Cinque Stelle.
Let us not forget that the agitation of this
issue was a fundamental theme in the first Government of Mr.
Conte, where the “exploits” of Interior Minister Salvini
were somehow endorsed by Transport Minister Toninelli.
It comes good in this regard to recall an ancient speech of Luigi Di Maio, former Labour and then
Foreign Minister, who discussed NGO’s finding their own stage to “challenge
Italy.” Video aged badly.
However, our reflection is not so much about the merits of this issue,
which would deserve wider and more debated spaces, but about the use of
concepts considered populist to manage the
dissatisfied sphere of citizens by the ruling power.
We can test this hypothesis experimentally, by analyzing what happened
regarding the Italy/France querelle over the landing
of the Ship Ocean Viking, with
its migrants, in France.
Taking advantage of an unspecified French openness, regarding the
willingness to accept a quota of refugees bound for Italian ports, it was
arranged that the rescue ship Ocean Viking, with the migrants still on board,
was sent to the port of Marseille. There, “under the supervision of the
competent Italian Prefecture,” the migrants were to disembark directly in transalpine
territory, and then registered as asylum seekers.
In the evening, there came from the government, also published via
twitter, a note of appreciation to the French government. “We express our
heartfelt appreciation for France’s decision to share responsibility for the
migration emergency, which until now has remained on the shoulders of Italy and
a few other Mediterranean states, by opening its ports to the ship Ocean
Viking.” The alleged French opening reportedly followed a conversation between
President Meloni and President Macron.
Mrs Giorgia Meloni thus tried to cash in, on a “populist” media blow,
going so far as to claim “the first time an NGO ship was forced to disembark
migrants picked up in the port of its flag.
In fact, the NGO that owns the ship – SOS Mediterranee
– clarified that
“In the face of Italy’s silence and due to the exceptional nature of the
situation, the Ocean Viking is forced to request a safe port from France.”
The French government just as vibrantly denied this opening almost
immediately, declaring that the emergency situation had been irresponsibly
created by the Italian government and that the French authorities had decided
to accept the ship in the port of Toulon only so as not to endanger the lives
of the 234 migrants housed aboard the ship.
What had happened in France? Following the news of the impending
“landing,” almost all right-wing political contenders, led by Marine Le Pen,
had hurled accusations at Macron, complaining about his lax attitude in
allowing Italy to humiliate France by making it swallow its illegal handling of
immigration.
It should be mentioned, moreover, that while waiting for the ship’s
arrival in Toulon, a large group of French people called a demonstration to
express solidarity with all 234 migrants on board.
See: Italy’s Giorgia Meloni: The Great
Replacement Moves In
However, the
reaction of the transalpine government was harsh. This leads one to wonder why
every capitalist government reserves central attention to the landing of a few
migrants, where the period would counsel to allow for heavy and explosive
social contradictions, such as the high cost of living and lack of employment
futures.
However, a
small rational exercise would help expose the mystifications.
Starting with Italy: is it really corresponding to the truth that “the
responsibility for the migration emergency falls on Italy’s shoulders?
The phenomena
agitated obviously always have a real basis: migration, caused by the
impoverishment of vast areas of the world due to the exploitation of dominant
capitalist economies, is capable of generating very large contradictions in the
states where migrants enter. One need only think of the phenomenon of the
French Banlieues or the Swedish neighborhoods filled
with immigrants, which have now become the scenes of films and well-known
television series. Contact and confrontation with the native underprivileged
groups generates explosive phenomena. The poorer areas of Germany are a
profitable electoral pool for parties that agitate the issue of immigration in
a securitarian manner.
However, the
contradictions generated by immigration, if properly understood, should spur
those who suffer them to mobilize against the root cause-the barbarism of the
capitalist economy-which is as responsible for the hardship of natives as for
the suffering of migrants.
Why does this
not happen? The answer lies in the remarks contained in the quoted passage from
the German Ideology: “the class which disposes of the means of material
production disposes with this, at the same time, of the means of intellectual
production.”

From the History

by Dr. Vladislav B. Sotirović
Due to the
current conflict in (East) Ukraine (historically known as Russia Minor), the
world is more and more becoming informed about the genocide of the Poles, Jews,
and Russians on the territory of West Ukraine during WWII committed by
Ukrainian Nazi-nationalists (the Banderists).
However, at the same time, in the Balkans, in parallel with the Ukrainian case,
the organized genocide of the Jews, Roma, and above all the ethnic Serbs were
on agenda but the world audience is still not properly informed about the case
– the case occurred in the Nazi-shaped Independent State of Croatia.
At the very
start, it must be mentioned that Nazi Croatia during WWII (1941−1945)
concerning its inner policy (of genocide) was independent of its mentors
Germany and Italy. Moreover, both Rome and Berlin in several cases tried to
convince a Nazi government in Zagreb to stop with the policy of genocide but in
vain.

Israeli
Military Chief Tells US to Step Up Planning for Joint
Attacks on Iran
by Dave DeCamp
The head of
the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) is pressing the US to step up planning for
joint attacks against Iran, The Times of Israel reported on Tuesday.
IDF Chief of
Staff Aviv Kohavi
arrived in the US on Sunday and has been holding talks with high-level
officials. So far this week, he has met with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of
Staff Gen. Mark Milley,
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan,
and CIA Director William Burns.
“During the
discussions, it was agreed that we are at a critical point in time that
requires the acceleration of operational plans and cooperation against Iran and
its terrorist proxies in the region,” Kohavi said.
Tensions are
high between the US and Iran as the Biden administration has been increasing
sanctions on the Islamic Republic and is voicing support for protesters inside
the country. Talks to revive the Iran nuclear deal have been stalled for
months, and administration officials have made clear they have no plans to
resume them, at least anytime soon.
The US acknowledged
in its recently released Nuclear Posture Review that Iran is
not building a nuclear weapon, but Israel continues to hype up the threat of
Iran’s nuclear program.
“On the one
hand, Iran is under many economic, military, and internal pressures, and on the
other hand, it continues to promote its nuclear program. The IDF strongly
promotes all operational plans against the Iranian threat,” he said.

Shocking
Details of Zionist Biological Warfare Against
Palestinians Exposed
https://www.mintpressnews.com/shocking-details-israel-zionist-biological-warfare-exposed/282406/
by Kit Klarenberg
Academics
Benny Morris of Ben-Gurion University and Benjamin Z. Kedar
of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem have produced an extraordinary paper based on a
welter of archival material, exposing in disturbing detail the hitherto
obfuscated dimensions of an operation by Zionist forces to use chemical and
biological weapons against both invading Arab armies and local civilians during
the 1948 war.
That brutal conflict created the state of Israel, and led to permanent
displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, known as the “Nakba” – Arabic for disaster, catastrophe, or cataclysm.
Morris and Kedar offer a
highly granular timeline of events, starting in the initial months of that
year, as Britain prepared to evacuate Mandatory Palestine on May 15. In the lead
up to that date, Zionist settlers were very much on the defensive, with
militias “continuously” attacking their enclaves and convoys, with the support
of neighboring armies, due to their joint rejection of UN Resolution 181,
passed in November 1947, which proposed partitioning Palestine into separate
Arab and Jewish states.

Settler Pogroms Against Palestinians Will Become
the Norm Under New Israeli Government
by Miko Peled
Saturday, November 19, 2022, was according to Jewish tradition Shabat Chayei Sarah – the Shabbos, or Saturday commemorating the death and burial of
the biblical matriarch Sarah. In the biblical story, her husband
Abraham purchased her burial plot in the ancient city of Al-Khalil.
According to Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro, the “commemoration” events that Al-Khalil has been subjected to over the last few decades have
nothing to do with Jewish tradition, only, “Zionist Embellishments.”
Al-Khalil, or Hebron in Hebrew, is the largest city in the
West Bank, with close to a quarter of a million residents. The Old City part of
Al-Khalil, also known as H-2, is a beautiful place,
with narrow alleyways and architecture that bears witness to the centuries of
grandeur it enjoys, the fourth-holiest city in Islamic
tradition. Around 25,000 Palestinians and close to 800 Jewish settlers live in
the old city. The settlers are vile, racist and violent to a point where 800 of
them are able to terrorize thousands of their Palestinian neighbors.
Besides that,
there is a massive military presence in the Old City of Al-Khalil.
This military presence includes at least one full combat brigade which monitors
the more than five hundred checkpoints and movement barriers that exist within
one square kilometer or approximately 0.4 square miles of the city. The
military is there to assist the settlers, not protect the Palestinian civilians
who they are constantly terrorizing.
Thirty Thousand settlers.
The “settler”
community is a deeply racist, anti-Palestinian movement that had appeared on
the scene after the Israeli attack on its neighbors of 1967, and the consequent
occupation of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem. This conquest
was marketed as an act of the almighty, and a movement of thousands of religious
Zionist zealots began invading the West Bank. Al-Khalil
was one of their first targets, and they were
successful in establishing a city for themselves on the lands of Al-Khalil called Kiryat Arba.
Today, this
settler movement mobilizes its people to wherever they want in order to
terrorize Palestinians. In May 2021, they sent hundreds of their members to the
occupied city of El-Lyd where they rioted and
terrorized Palestinian residents of the city. During the attack, they murdered Musa Hassuna, a
31-year-old truck driver, whose family I met. They also rioted and attacked
Palestinians in Bi’r Saba in the Naqab
and tried to invade local Palestinian Bedouin communities, but were pushed
back.

Reading
Proust in War
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/57352.htm
by Chris Hedgtes
During the
war in Bosnia, I worked my way through the seven volumes of Marcel
Proust’s “In Search of Lost Time.” The novel, populated
with 400 characters, was not an escape from the war. The specter of death and
the expiring world of La Belle Époque haunts Proust’s work. He wrote it as he was dying; in fact,
Proust was making corrections to the manuscript the night before his death in
his hermetically sealed, cork-lined bedroom in Paris.
The novel was a lens that allowed me
to reflect on the disintegration, delusions and mortality around me. Proust
gave me the words to describe aspects of the human condition I knew instinctively,
but had trouble articulating. He elucidates the conflicting ways we perceive
reality, exacerbated in war, and how each of us comes to our own peculiar and
self-serving truths. He explores the fragility of human goodness, the seduction
and hollowness of power and social status, the inconstancy of the human heart
and racism, especially antisemitism.
Those who see in his work a retreat
from the world are poor readers of Proust. His power is his Freudian
understanding of the subterranean forces that shape human existence. The novel
is grounded in the bitter wisdom of
Ecclesiastes: The beauty of youth, the allure of fame, wealth, success, power,
along with literary and artistic brilliance, reap a horrendous toll on those
beguiled by them, for they are transitory, and perish.
I was in Croatia as Serb villages
were being ethnically cleansed by the Croatian army. I watched an elderly
veteran of the partisan war being pushed out of his home, which he would never
again inhabit, in a wheelchair, bedecked with his World War II medals on his
chest. The rise of ethnic nationalism had extinguished the old Yugoslavia and
with it his status and place in society.

How Palantir
Conquered the World
https://corbettreport.substack.com/p/how-palantir-conquered-the-world
by James Corbett
Imagine a
company that knows everything about everyone. A company that is equally at ease
helping banks identify fraud as it is helping intelligence agencies track down
enemies of the state. A company that can combine pictures of you with your cell
phone location data, emails you've written, your health records and credit card
purchases and thousands of other pieces of electronic data to paint an intimate
portrait of your life—a portrait that any would-be investigator can pull
up with a few keystrokes. A company that can target you
anywhere in the world at any time.
Now stop
imagining that company, because it already exists. It's called Palantir Technologies.
Founded by
billionaire PayPal co-founder and Facebook early
investor Peter Thiel, this plucky
little Silicon Valley startup has long been the darling of the US military and
the intelligence community, and it's increasingly the darling of the corporate
world. And—given Palantir's ability to surveil, track and, ultimately, control every aspect of
your daily life—it isn't hard to see why.
Even so, few
in the general public have ever heard of it, and those who have know little
beyond the fact that Palantir is a bad company that
does creepy things.
But this is
The Corbett Report. We can do better than that.
Today, let's
explore the roots of this threat to humanity, expose the extent to which it has
already laid your life bare to the all-seeing eye of the would-be world
controllers, and peer into the magical seeing stone to see what the future
holds for Palantir Technologies.

Summers
offers prescription to US woes, but hard for American elites to take it: The US
hopes to save itself by destroying others
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/57355.htm
by Global Times
Published
Some elites
in Washington make no attempt to improve themselves when facing competition
with China and dealing with domestic woes, instead, they dedicate themselves to
taking China down through committing sabotage. The US hopes to save itself by
destroying others, rather than solving its own problems by managing and
controlling crises. The US has created many crises in its relations with China.
If they're not properly dealt with, not only China, but also the US itself will
suffer, and the latter will suffer more.
Former US Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers warned US policymakers to focus
on building the country's own economic strengths in its contest with China,
rather than attacking its adversary. "If we change our focus from building
ourselves up to tearing China down, I think we will be making a very risky and
very unfortunate choice," he was quoted as saying, according to
Bloomberg's report on Saturday.
The primary reason why Washington focuses on "tearing China down,"
rather than concentrate on its own innovation, infrastructure, education and
challenges lies in the US political system's
structural contradictions.
The US is now trapped in conundrums such as the loss of manufacturing
capability, the hollowing out of local industries, and the asymmetric
distribution of benefits from global trade among different groups in the
country. For the US, the top capitalist country, the excessive expansion of
financial capital will inevitably lead to the emergence of the above mentioned
problems.
If the US wants to improve itself as Summers
suggested, it must overcome the constraints of its system and carry out
domestic reforms to curb the excessive expansion of financial capital,
implement a fairer tax policy, and manage the wide income distribution gap
between different groups. It also needs to plan and guide national innovation
through policies so as to enhance the creativity and competitiveness of the
country. However, unless the US becomes a socialist country, these are difficult
to accomplish under its existing capitalist framework, Shen
Yi, a professor at the School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University, told the Global Times.
In addition, reforms require short-term costs, but under the current US system
with political parties facing pressure of winning more votes in the elections,
any reforms demanding short-term costs cannot be implemented in the US unless
the two parties reach a consensus," said Shen.
The simpler solution, for both parties, is to "hoax" the American
public that the US has been running smoothly and that the main obstacle for US'
development is because of a "bad" country. Both
Republicans or their Democratic counterparts claim that they can help
deal with the "bad" country if elected, so as to solve their current
predicament. To win the election, the two parties have been intensifying their
steps to contain China.
As a matter of fact, there is nothing complicated about what is the proper
solution for the US, and many elites, including Summers,
are fully aware of it. Shen noted that the US seems
to stay in a "paralysis state," under which the brain is actually
sober, but the body cannot operate according to people's thoughts.
This is how Washington's strategic anxiety in terms of China policy has been
formulated. In this context, decision-makers have been given some absurd
advice, with strong gambling and speculative mentality.
Furthermore, US' term of office and election determine that the government has
very limited time to carry out practical policies, as much time is spent on
election and buck-passing. Such a nature of US political games also determines
that Washington has little time to make remarkable changes.
Only when the entire US reaches a new consensus, realizing that US' problems do
not lie in China, but the US itself, can the US make fundamental changes on its
China policy. Until that day comes, what Summers
proposed will not take place.
