Summer is upon us and never have we experienced such a contrived cultural environment with blatant propaganda flowing and sloppy psyops spinning in the deep eddies of our mind. It has all the characteristics of a pool room with the pool sharks attempting to artfully place the correct spin on the next billiard ball to pocket another gain by moving the inert sphere to its assigned destination, all the while maintaining the illusion of “inevitability.” So many tricks up their sleeves, it’s enough to make one dizzy!
Meanwhile, the background noise suggests a melody of deep shame in this pool room for collaborating with this shabby theater, which stinks to high heaven and leads nowhere.

“Vaccinate to Vacate the
Planet?”

The World Health Organization (WHO) created a program
way back in 1972 to “get rid of large numbers of people” through vaccination. Through their Task
Force on Fertility Control they investigated both male and female infertility
vaccines.
They ultimately perfected
female sterility vaccines containing both adjuvants (immune system irritants)
and a female hormone necessary for human pregnancies to carry to term (Human
chorionic gonadatrophin, HCG). Injected into the body, women produce antibodies
to HCG so they destroy that essential hormones during every subsequent
pregnancy.
These vaccines were,
according to the Philippine High Court, used by WHO to involuntarily
sterilize more than 3 million women there. No one knows the real number.
Similar programs in 1985 under the guise of Smallpox vaccination
for disease eradication were designed, according to WHO’s documents, to
“eliminate 150 million excess sub-Saharan Africans”.
Pregnant woman who receive this vaccine promptly abort the baby they are
carrying and are then sterile for the rest of their lives as the formerly
pregnant women of the Hill Tribes in Thailand have discovered.
Apparently, the WHO task forces also discovered a 3-vaccine protocol
which would be directly lethal, not merely generationally genocidal.
Was this the protocol referred to earlier this year when President Obama
announced that Americans would be required to take 3 shots in the fall of 2009,
2 Swine Flu shots and 1 for Seasonal Flu? Is your faith in the government
strong enough to find out with your body, your children’s bodies and the bodies
of those you love?

Global Digital Vaccine Passports. WHO and EU Commission Partner for ‘Digital
Health’ with New COVID-19 Digital Certificate

With the latest announcement that the European
Commission and the World Health Organization are partnering on a Digital
Vaccine Passport the Technocratic State is coming into view.
On Monday the
European Commission and the World Health Organization announced a
“digital health” partnership to establish a new Digital Vaccine Passport system
for the world.
The announcement by the EU and the WHO
notes that the new digital identity scheme is building on the work of the EU
Digital COVID Certificate which was enacted in June 2021 during the COVID-19
panic and is set to expire on June 30. According to the EU, more than 2.3
billion certificates were issued.
Thierry
Breton, EU Commissioner on
Internal Market, said he was “pleased
that the WHO will build on the privacy-preserving principles and cutting-edge
technology of the EU certificate to create a global tool against future
pandemics.”
Dr Tedros
Adhanom Ghebreyesus claimed the digital
certificates will “help people
everywhere receive quality health services quickly and more effectively”.
Ironically, the European Commission and WHO say the EU Vaccine Passport
helped “facilitate safe free movement”. The reality is the passport program was
one of several created by public-private partnerships between government and
Non-Governmental Organizations and corporations which required individuals to
show proof of vaccination to work, travel, or eat.
Now, the WHO wants to take the EU system and establish a global system
that they claim will “help protect
citizens across the world from on-going and future health threats, including
pandemics”.
The press release also notes this latest partnership is part of an
agreement signed in December 2022 by EU Commissioner Stella Kyriakides
and WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to “enhance strategic cooperation on global health
issues”. The organizations say this new partnership “bolsters a robust multilateral system with
WHO at its core”.
These statements amount to an acknowledgement that these type of programs
begin at the transnational level with globalist organizations like the WHO and
the EU before they trickle down to national governments, state and provinces,
and, eventually, local councils.
Global
Digital Vaccine Passports Coming Soon
The WHO’s statement announcing the partnership describes it as the “first building block” of the WHO Global Digital Health Certification Network (GDHCN) that will “develop a
wide range of digital products to deliver better health for all”. The
WHO says the COVID-19 “pandemic response” taught them there is an “existing gap
and continued need” for a mechanism to support verification of health documents
for so-called ” pandemic preparedness and continuity of care”.
The WHO also said the GDHCN can be an “infrastructural building block”
for future additional use cases, including digitization of existing vaccine
certificates, verification of prescriptions across borders, and verification of
vaccine certificates within and across international borders.
The WHO also emphasized that the GDHCN “builds upon the experience of regional networks for COVID-19
Certificates” and uses the infrastructure of the EU Digital COVID
Certificate system. This system has been adopted by all EU member states and 51
non-EU countries.

In April 2021 — two months before the EU COVID Certificate was to be
implemented — I reported on the evidence that the EU
has been planning health passports since at least 2019. I wrote:

simulated a pandemic mere months before COVID-19 was the buzz of 2020, the
European Union MEPs also seem to have a keen foresight and ability to predict
the future. A document listed on the European Union’s

it clear that Europe’s highest legislative body had planned for years to

Racehorses
are among the most finely tuned, exquisitely sensitive creatures on earth.
So what happens when you give them all cell phones to wear during a race? They start
dropping like… well, horses.
That is
exactly what started happening this spring at Churchill Downs in Louisville,
home of the world-famous Kentucky Derby. Churchill Downs hosts three “meets”
every year during which there are horse races four to five days a week — a
spring meet lasting all of May and June; a September meet; and a fall meet
throughout November. The spring meet this year at the Downs began on April
29 and was to continue until July 3. And beginning on April 29, and in
every race on every day thereafter, every horse was fitted with a device they
had never worn before. It is a wireless device, shaped like an iPhone,
that fits into the cloth underneath the saddle on the horse’s back. Horses also
began wearing these devices this spring during morning workouts.
This
STRIDESafe device monitors the horse’s movements 2,400 times per second
throughout the race, sending 2,400 pulses of radio frequency (RF) radiation
every second through the body of the horse. It also contains a GPS
component that communicates with global positioning satellites. It also
communicates with the RFID chip implanted in the left side of every horse’s
neck, ensuring that the chip also emits radiation throughout the race.
And because every racehorse wears horseshoes made of aluminum, which is
one of the best conductors, the frequencies that are conducted from both the
STRIDESafe device and the RFID chip throughout the horse’s body are absorbed
and reradiated by its four shoes.
Each horse,
then, carries not one but six continuously radiating antennas throughout each
race at Churchill Downs. So with 14 horses normally competing in each race,
there are 84 antennas among animals in close proximity to one another running
around the track.

Stuff You Should Know About Ukraine. The War began before the Russian Invasion”

On February 16, 2022, a full week before Putin sent
combat troops into Ukraine, the Ukrainian Army began the heavy bombardment of
the area (in east Ukraine) occupied by mainly ethnic Russians.
Officials from the Observer
Mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) were
located in the vicinity at the time and kept a record of the shelling as it
took place. What the OSCE discovered was that the bombardment dramatically
intensified as the week went on until it reached a peak on February 19, when a
total of 2,026 artillery strikes were recorded. Keep in mind, the Ukrainian
Army was, in fact, shelling civilian areas along the Line of Contact that were
occupied by other Ukrainians.
We want to emphasize that the officials from the OSCE were operating in
their professional capacity gathering first-hand evidence of shelling in the
area. What their data shows is that Ukrainian Forces were bombing and
killing their own people. This has all been documented and has not been
challenged.
So, the question we must all ask ourselves is this: Is the bombardment
and slaughter of one’s own people an ‘act of war’?

The first
rule of New Normal Germany is “You Do Not Compare New Normal Germany to Nazi
Germany!” I did that on the cover of my bestselling book, The Rise of the New Normal
Reich, so the State Prosecutor’s office in Berlin has
launched a criminal investigation of me for allegedly “disseminating
propaganda, the contents of which are intended to further the aims of a former
National Socialist organization,” which is punishable by up to three years in
prison.
Actually, the
first rule of New Normal Germany is “Shut Up, Click Heels, and Follow Orders!”
I think the second rule is probably the one about not comparing New Normal
Germany to Nazi Germany.
Which is
totally reasonable. After all, Nazi Germany was not just one type of
totalitarian social system among others, like Maoist China, Fascist Italy, the
USSR under Stalin, the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia, and other totalitarian social
systems that you’re allowed to compare New Normal Germany to. And, even if it
was (i.e., one example of totalitarianism, among others, and not the
incomparably singular and utterly unprecedented historical event that it was),
there is no such thing as totalitarianism anymore, so you can’t compare any present-day
system, or movement, or widespread sociopolitical phenomenon, to it (i.e., to
Nazi Germany), or to any of those other totalitarian systems, especially not in
New Normal Germany.

meant to dampen any unrealistic hope western traditionalists and anti-WEF types
might have that Russia could be a place for the future. How would you rank
Russia compared to other countries in terms of potential future freedom from

It’s true
this blog has probably disabused readers of unrealistic expectations about
Russia, but for the sake of accuracy, I would like to stress that I am simply
relaying what Russians themselves are saying about their own country.
Still, I
firmly believe Russia has a lot to offer, as long as you understand you will
have to carve out your own little fiefdom of personal dignity and
self-sufficiency—which is no easy task—and the idea that, upon reaching Russia,
you suddenly become immune to space lizard machinations, is simply not true.
I have
several friends in Russia who, through hard work and self-sacrifice, have
created wonderful, inspiring lives for themselves and their families.

The Washington Post has published a new report,
citing anonymous transatlantic intelligence sources, doubling down on the idea
that Ukraine pulled off the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage attack without
coordinating with a global major power in the process.

I put together a map detailing the route that would be required for
Ukraine’s navy to sail from the war-torn Port of Odesa to the areas where the
Nord Stream pipeline was sabotaged. The roundtrip journey amounts to about ten
thousand miles, which would be impossible to pull off undetected.
Since March, the corporate media has been assisting the U.S.
intelligence community in making the case that the Biden Administration had
nothing to do with the Nord Stream sabotage attack. The talking points first
appeared in The New York Times, which claimed that an unnamed “pro-Ukrainian
group” was said to be responsible for the September 2022 attack. The sources
for this information remain nothing more than anonymous intelligence agents.
The transatlantic ruling classes are simply making a mockery of our
ability to reason. Given the ramifications that would come from admitting to
authorizing such an attack, we can safely assume that there will never be
accountability from the Biden Administration for this operation, but there will
be plenty of additional storytelling to come.

peace and risked my life for it. It is therefore not a question of justifying
war, but of understanding what led us to it. [….]
Let’s try to examine the
roots of the [Ukrainian] conflict. It starts with those who for the last eight
years have been talking about “separatists” or “independentists” from Donbass.
This is a misnomer. The referendums conducted by the two self-proclaimed
Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk in May 2014, were not referendums of
“independence”
(независимость),
as some unscrupulous
journalists have claimed, but referendums of “self-determination” or
“autonomy”
(самостоятельность).
The qualifier “pro-Russian” suggests that Russia was a party to the conflict,
which was not the case, and the term “Russian speakers” would have been more
honest. Moreover, these referendums were conducted against the advice of
Vladimir Putin.
In fact, these Republics were not seeking to separate from Ukraine, but
to have a status of autonomy, guaranteeing them the use of the Russian language
as an official language–because the first legislative act of the new government
resulting from the American-sponsored overthrow of [the democratically-elected]
President Yanukovych, was the abolition, on February 23, 2014, of the
Kivalov-Kolesnichenko law of 2012 that made Russian an official language in
Ukraine. A bit like if German putschists decided that French and Italian would
no longer be official languages in Switzerland.
This decision caused a storm in the Russian-speaking population. The
result was fierce repression against the Russian-speaking regions (Odessa,
Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Lugansk and Donetsk) which was carried out beginning
in February 2014 and led to a militarization of the situation and some horrific
massacres of the Russian population (in Odessa and Mariupol, the most notable).
At this stage, too rigid and engrossed in a doctrinaire approach to
operations, the Ukrainian general staff subdued the enemy but without managing
to actually prevail. The war waged by the autonomists [consisted in].… highly
mobile operations conducted with light means. With a more flexible and less
doctrinaire approach, the rebels were able to exploit the inertia of Ukrainian
forces to repeatedly “trap” them.
In 2014, when I was at NATO, I was responsible for the fight against the
proliferation of small arms, and we were trying to detect Russian arms
deliveries to the rebels, to see if Moscow was involved. The information we
received then came almost entirely from Polish intelligence services and did
not “fit” with the information coming from the OSCE [Organization for Security
and Co-operation in Europe]—and despite rather crude allegations, there were no
deliveries of weapons and military equipment from Russia.
The rebels were armed thanks to the defection of Russian-speaking Ukrainian
units that went over to the rebel side. As Ukrainian failures continued,
tank, artillery and anti-aircraft battalions swelled the ranks of the
autonomists. This is what pushed the Ukrainians to commit to the Minsk
Agreements.
But just after signing the Minsk 1 Agreements, the Ukrainian President
Petro Poroshenko launched a massive “anti-terrorist operation”
(ATO/Антитерористична
операція) against the Donbass.
Poorly advised by NATO officers, the Ukrainians suffered a crushing defeat in
Debaltsevo, which forced them to engage in the Minsk 2 Agreements.
It is essential to recall here that Minsk 1 (September 2014) and Minsk 2
(February 2015) Agreements did not provide for the separation or
independence of the Republics, but their autonomy within the framework of
Ukraine. Those who have read the Agreements (there are very few who
actually have) will note that it is written that the status of the Republics
was to be negotiated between Kiev and the representatives of the Republics, for
an internal solution within Ukraine.
That is why since 2014, Russia has systematically demanded the
implementation of the Minsk Agreements while refusing to be a party to the
negotiations, because it was an internal matter of Ukraine. On the other side,
the West—led by France—systematically tried to replace Minsk Agreements with
the “Normandy format,” which put Russians and Ukrainians face-to-face. However,
let us remember that there were never any Russian troops in the Donbass before
23-24 February 2022. Moreover, OSCE observers have never observed the
slightest trace of Russian units operating in the Donbass before then. For
example, the U.S. intelligence map published by the Washington Post on December 3, 2021 does not show Russian troops in the Donbass.
In October 2015, Vasyl Hrytsak, director of the Ukrainian Security
Service (SBU), confessed that only 56 Russian
fighters had been observed in the Donbass. This was exactly comparable to the
Swiss who went to fight in Bosnia on weekends, in the 1990s, or the French who
go to fight in Ukraine today.
The Ukrainian army was then in a deplorable state. In October 2018, after
four years of war, the chief Ukrainian military prosecutor, Anatoly Matios, stated that Ukraine had lost 2,700 men
in the Donbass: 891 from illnesses, 318 from road accidents, 177 from other
accidents, 175 from poisonings (alcohol, drugs), 172 from careless handling of
weapons, 101 from breaches of security regulations, 228 from murders and 615
from suicides.

All around the U.S. things are falling apart. Collectively, Americans are
experiencing national and imperial decline. Can America save itself? Is the
country, as presently constituted, even worth saving?
For me, that last question is radical indeed. From my early years, I
believed deeply in the idea of America. I knew this country wasn’t perfect, of
course, not even close. Long before the 1619 Project, I was aware of the “original sin” of slavery and how central it was to
our history. I also knew about the genocide of Native Americans. (As a
teenager, my favorite movie — and so it remains — was Little Big Man, which pulled
no punches when it came to the white man and his insatiably murderous greed.)
Nevertheless, America still promised much, or so I believed in the 1970s
and 1980s. Life here was simply better, hands down, than in places like the
Soviet Union and Mao Zedong’s China. That’s why we had to “contain” communism —
to keep them over there, so they could never invade our
country and extinguish our lamp of liberty.
And that’s why I joined America’s Cold War military, serving in the Air
Force from the presidency of Ronald Reagan to that of George W. Bush and Dick
Cheney. And believe me, it proved quite a ride. It taught this retired
lieutenant colonel that the sky’s anything but the limit.
In the end, 20 years in the Air Force led me to turn away from
empire, militarism and nationalism. I found
myself seeking instead some antidote to the mainstream media’s celebrations of
American exceptionalism and the exaggerated version of victory culture that went with it
(long after victory itself was in short supply).
I started writing against the empire and
its disastrous wars and found likeminded people at TomDispatch —
former imperial operatives turned incisive critics like Chalmers
Johnson and Andrew
Bacevich, along with sharp-eyed
journalist Nick Turse and, of course, the
irreplaceable Tom Engelhardt, the founder of those “tomgrams” meant to alert
America and the world to the dangerous folly of repeated U.S. global military
interventions.

Another atrocity. Yesterday,
the dam holding back the waters for the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station
was destroyed releasing a massive flood surge, imperiling people and places
below the dam on the Dnieper River. Both sides blamed each other. From the
Russian standpoint, it makes no sense to blow up the dam. According to Russian Defense
Minister Sergei Shoigu, it was a desperate attempt to improve the
defensive positions of Ukrainian forces. It is the latest atrocity in this war.
On 26 September 2022, the Nord Stream pipelines were blown up. Ukraine and
western monopoly media blamed Russia. Again, it makes no sense that Russia
would blow up pipelines to deliver its gas. Reputable journalist Seymour Hersh
made clear his case that the
United States, aided by Norway, sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines. Russia is no longer
blamed.
Atrocities and the disinformation surrounding them is the subject of an
important book by AB Abrams, Atrocity
Fabrication and Its Consequences: How Fake News Shapes World Order (Clarity Press, 2023). It is an important book because it delivers an
incisive account on how hegemony is systematically conducted by the US Empire.
It cuts through the disinformation used to foment wars by the US, backed by its
allies. What the US is engaged in is aggression,
what the Nuremberg Tribunal deemed “the supreme international crime”; thus, it
undermines the US Constitution. It also creates a pretext for the US to attempt
an overthrow of governments it doesn’t like, killing and displacing people,
destroying infrastructure and economies, and leaving devastated lands to
rebuild (often with treasuries and resources looted by the US).
The table of contents is a lead-in to how Atrocity Fabrication reveals the systematic nature of hegemony:
Cuba and Viet Nam, the US war in Korea, the disinformation about a massacre in
Tiananmen Square, the first US war in the Gulf (i.e. war on Iraq), the US war
on Yugoslavia, the second US war on Iraq, creating conflict with North Korea,
the NATO-Libyan war, the western-backed insurgency in Syria, and the
demonization of the rising economy of China.
In each of these ten chapters, Abrams adumbrates some historical
background, and a pattern of what is inimical to Empire is spelled out:
anti-communism, control of resources wherever they may be, and instilling and
maintaining obedience to Empire.
Abrams makes clear what the rules-based order is: rules decided by the US for other countries; however, the US is
above the law. The order is enforced by the US as it sees fit.

Fraud Construct: Deadly Viral Pandemics Are Not Possible

Briefly, as a medical doctor, it is my opinion that
deadly viral pandemics are not possible, and are likely a Big Pharma/globalist
construct/fraud.
Additionally, the “gain of function” narrative which is being put about
is likely false and is intended to bolster the story that deadly pandemics
caused by viruses (given that one accepts that viruses exist), both man-made
and naturally occurring, can occur, when that is not possible.
There was no pandemic in 2020, but perhaps more importantly there can
be no pandemic of concern in the future.
Furthermore, just like the Covid-19 fraud, the Ukraine war, climate
change, and the “trans nonsense” do not make any sense and are all driven by
relentless propaganda/psychological torture and unprecedented censorship which
foster dangerous cults.
It follows that we do not need any of their “measures” to control us
in their endless fake emergencies.
Furthermore, it is possible that the whole world of virology, genomics,
epidemiology and the tyranny of evidence-based medicine were deliberately
constructed by our enemies so that the Trojan horse of Covid-19 could be used
to kick start the process of imposing totalitarianism on us all, worldwide.
Their aim is to break “social bonds”, historical bonds, cultural bonds,
by for example destroying the middle class (the defining feature of so-called
democracies) and nation states and family hierarchies, so that people do not
want to live any more and thereby die as per the mice in the Universe 25
experiment of the 1960s.
Some of our friends are leading people astray. It is difficult to be sure
that they are not controlled opposition.
The people, in countries right across the world, urgently need to be
educated about totalitarianism, and the many ways a descent into
totalitarianism is being undertaken.
It is preferable to teach people that all the dangerous nonsenses on many
different fronts which they are being fed now, and which they will be fed in
the future, are manifestations of a dangerous descent into totalitarianism,
from which there will be no return.
It is
imperative that people fully understand the extreme seriousness of the
situation which we are in.
We must fight against everything which looks like tyranny or which might
lead to tyranny.
We must learn all we can about totalitarianism and inform our fellow
human beings in language that everyone understands, and as quickly as possible.
We thought in our “civilised” Western “democracies”, comfortable and
brainwashed as we were, that we would never be visited by a descent into
totalitarianism, but we were wrong.
Full blown totalitarianism can and will come to us if we do not fight NOW
against it in all its manifestations or preludes.
We were warned by George Orwell and Aldous Huxley, but most people took
no notice, because they thought that it did not apply to them or their
countries. It does.

When it comes to the political class, bad ideas can be
contagious. That appears to be the case with censorship during the pandemic,
which became a popular pastime among functionaries convinced they are the embodiment of science—or, at least, the arbiters of truth. As it turns out,
that led to the collaboration between the state and social media companies to
muzzle voices not just in the U.S., but also across the Atlantic in the U.K.
Muzzling
Dissenting Voices
“A secretive government unit worked with social media companies in an
attempt to curtail discussion of controversial lockdown policies during the
pandemic,” The Telegraph reported June 2. “The
Counter-Disinformation Unit (CDU) was set up by ministers to tackle supposed
domestic ‘threats’, and was used to target those critical of lockdown and
questioning the mass vaccination of children.”
The report added that “critics of lockdown had posts removed from social
media. There is growing suspicion that social media firms used technology to
stop the posts being promoted, circulated or widely shared after being flagged
by the CDU or its counterpart in the Cabinet Office.”
Among those monitored and penalized were prominent epidemiologists and
medical researchers who challenged official data and restrictive policies.
Activists who opposed lockdowns were also targeted. The Telegraph, a prominent newspaper which has run articles
skeptical of pandemic authoritarianism, was itself singled out.
Implicated in monitoring content and penalizing dissent at the behest of
government officials were companies including Facebook, Google, Twitter (under
the old management), and the BBC, the U.K.’s high-profile state broadcaster.
The story follows an earlier report (credited by The Telegraph) published in January 2023 by civil liberties
group Big Brother Watch. That report, Ministry of Truth: the
secretive government units spying on your speech, called out the Cabinet Office’s Rapid Response Unit, the Counter
Disinformation Unit, the Foreign Office’s Government Information Cell, the Home
Office’s Research, Intelligence and Communications Unit, and the British Army’s
77th Brigade. Together, they targeted what officials considered
“disinformation” during the pandemic and then following Russia’s invasion of
Ukraine.

As the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) marks its
seventy-fifth anniversary, it has made conspicuous efforts to rebrand itself as
a progressive force for scientific and technological change.
Facing the retirement of its
notoriously “pale, male, and Yale” Baby Boomer cohort, it has awkwardly adopted
the language of neurodiversity and intersectionality in an attempt to appeal to
the relatively young and tech-savvy Silicon Valley set.1 Through its
in-house venture capital fund In-Q-Tel, it has recently made well-publicized
investments in CRISPR-based wooly mammoth resurrection research,
information-collecting skin care products, and the synthetic biology firm—and
alleged “colossal scam”—Ginkgo Bioworks.2
Under the leadership of Gina Haspel, it has also adopted a tech start-up
model via its new “CIA Labs,” which entices would-be innovators with lucrative
patent opportunities.3 At the same time, it has made well-publicized
donations to makerspaces and science education organizations.4
Sympathetic press coverage has cast covert agents not as unaccountable
interlopers into publicly funded research, but rather as “spies for planet
earth.”5 The CIA has even started a podcast.6
A brief survey of the Agency’s history, however, suggests that it is one
of the last organizations we should expect to provide us with either reliable
information or socially beneficial technologies. Since its earliest days, the
CIA and the “Intelligence Community” of which it is a part has repeatedly shown
a willingness to pursue harmful, illegal, and intentionally misleading
research. Indeed, “intelligence” is arguably a misnomer. As author and former
CIA agent Ralph McGehee explains,
“the CIA is not an intelligence agency, it’s a covert action agency. . .
. A part of covert action is disinformation, and the American people, in my
estimation, are the primary target audience of the agency’s disinformation
operation.”7

Importantly, this offensive attack on us is intended to suppress and
stamp out freedom in every aspect of our lives—economic freedom; political freedom

and, above all, the independence to think for ourselves—what can be called
mental freedom.

London CNN — A High Court
judge in London has denied Julian Assange permission
to appeal an order to extradite him to the United States, where he faces
criminal charges under the Espionage Act.
The decision was dated Tuesday and is the latest in a years-long legal
saga. His camp told CNN on Thursday that they will lodge a new appeal next
week.
In a ruling dated June 6, 2023 and seen by CNN, Mr. Justice Swift said
Assange’s application had been refused stating that “none of the four grounds
of appeal raises any properly arguable point.”
In a separate ruling, the High Court judge also denied Assange permission
to appeal and challenge the dismissal of other parts of his case during a
ruling by district judge Vanessa Baraitser in January 2021. After revising
eight proposed grounds of appeal the judge argued he did not consider the
proposed appeals raised “any properly arguable case.”
The 51-year-old is wanted by US authorities on 18 criminal counts after
WikiLeaks, the organization he founded, published thousands of classified
documents and diplomatic cables in 2010 and 2011.
A London court issued a formal extradition order to send the Australian
to the US in April last year; it was rubber-stamped by the UK government two months later. The Home Office stressed at the time that the UK courts
have not found his extradition to be incompatible with his human rights.
“The UK courts have not found that it would be oppressive, unjust or an
abuse of process to extradite Mr. Assange. Nor have they found that extradition
would be incompatible with his human rights, including his right to a fair
trial and to freedom of expression, and that whilst in the US he will be
treated appropriately, including in relation to his health,” it said in a
statement announcing the order almost a year ago.
In response to the latest ruling, Assange’s wife, Stella, said her
husband’s legal team would make a renewed application for appeal to the same
court next Tuesday.
“The matter will then proceed to a public hearing before two new judges
at the High Court and we remain optimistic that we will prevail, and that
Julian will not be extradited to the United States where he faces charges that
could result in him spending the rest of his life in a maximum security prison
for publishing true information that revealed war crimes committed by the U.S.
government,” she wrote in a post on Twitter.

Surveillance Technology Makes 2013 Look Like 'Child's Play'

With this week marking 10 years since whistleblower Edward Snowden
disclosed information to journalists about widespread government spying by
United States and British agencies, the former National Security Agency
contractor on Thursday joined other advocates in warning that the fight for
privacy rights, while making several inroads in the past decade, has grown
harder due to major changes in technology.
“If we think about what we saw in 2013 and the capabilities of
governments today,” Snowden told The Guardian, “2013 seems like child’s
play.”
Snowden said that the advent of commercially available surveillance
products such as Ring cameras, Pegasus spyware, and facial recognition
technology has posed new dangers.

Exposed: Disturbing Details
of New Pentagon “Perception Management Office”

Ken Klippenstein, an investigative journalist at The Intercept, has exposed how the
Pentagon very quietly launched a new internal division, dubbed the “Influence
and Perception Management Office” (IPMO), in March.
Its existence is not strictly secret, although there has been no official
announcement of its launch, let alone an explanation from Department of Defense
(DoD) officials as to its raison d’être or modus operandi. Its budget likewise
remains a mystery but purportedly runs into the “multimillions.”
Pentagon financial documents from 2022 offer a laconic and largely impenetrable description of IPMO.
The Office, it is said, “will serve as the senior advisor” to Under Secretary
of Defense for Intelligence & Security, Ronald S. Moultrie, on “strategic
and operational influence and perception management (reveal and conceal)
matters”:
It will develop broad thematic influence guidance focused on key
adversaries; promulgate competitive influence strategies focused on specific
defense issues, which direct subordinate planning efforts for the conduct of
influence-related activities; and fill existing gaps in policy, oversight,
governance, and integration related to influence and perception management
matters. [IPMO]…provides necessary support to National Defense Strategy…to
address the current strategic environment of great power competition.”
Nonetheless, references to “reveal and conceal” and “influence and
perception management” are tantalizing in the extreme. So too, is IPMO’s
position within the U.S. national security structure and the Office’s acting
director being intimately tied to the Pentagon’s spookiest operations.
Despite its low-key rollout, IPMO looks set to be a hugely influential
new DoD agency in the future, waging ceaseless information warfare at home and
abroad. What makes the new venture all the more sinister is that such
capabilities are nothing new; the Pentagon has managed multiple similar, if not
identical, operations in the past and continues to do so, despite significant
controversy and public backlash.
Indeed, the DoD’s official dictionary has a dedicated definition of “perception management”, linking the
practice to “psychological operations,” which are defined as actions intended
to influence the “emotions, motives, objective reasoning, and ultimately the
behavior” of target governments, organizations, groups, and individuals:
Actions to convey and/or deny selected information and indicators to
foreign audiences to influence their emotions, motives, and objective reasoning
as well as to intelligence systems and leaders at all levels to influence
official estimates, ultimately resulting in foreign behaviors and official
actions favorable to the originator’s objectives. In various ways, perception
management combines truth projection, operations security, cover and deception,
and psychological operations.”
This, of course, begs the question of why a new incarnation of what came
before and never went away is now being inaugurated by the U.S. defense
establishment. As we shall see, no reassuring answers are forthcoming.

WHO launches new “digital
health initiative”

Chalk up
another “I told you so” for the Conspiracy Theorists.
n Monday, the World Health Organization and European Union announced the
launch of their new “partnership”, building on the EU’s “highly successful”
digital certification network, which was introduced during the “pandemic”.
From the WHO’s website [emphasis added]:
WHO will take up the European Union (EU) system of digital COVID-19
certification to establish a global system that will help facilitate global
mobility…
This would be those digital health passports that “conspiracy theorists”
warned about, but which we were all told weren’t ever going to be a thing.
This isn’t about “Covid” anymore, WHO Chairman Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
said as much in his statement on the launch, and it’s again made clear on the website, which repeatedly underlines
the supposed purpose of the initiative:

the world from on-going and future health threats, including pandemics

[To] enhance strategic
cooperation on global health issues
·
[To] help strengthen global
health preparedness in the face of growing health threats
·
[To] to deliver better
health for citizens across the globe
What are these “health threats”? Well, they quite intentionally don’t
say, but we can all make pretty good guesses. Climate change, obviously. Obesity seems pretty likely, poverty, overpopulation
…and as many more as they choose.
– That’s the whole point of the open-ended wording, you can adapt it as
you go.
Anyway, it won’t just be about about Covid passports, again as the us
conspiracy theorists predicted. But, more than that, it won’t even just be
passports…
This is the
first building block of the WHO Global Digital
Health Certification Network (GDHCN) that will develop a wide range of
digital products to deliver better health for all.
They are delightfully vague about what exactly these other “digital
products” might be, how much they are going to cost global taxpayers, and just
how many of our rights we’ll be required to forfeit in the name of a “healthy”
planet (although ou can read the WHO’s “Global Strategy on Digital Health” to get some rough ideas).
However, while the details are brushed over, the overall aim is pretty
openly stated:
enhance strategic cooperation on global health issues […] bolster a
robust multilateral system with WHO at its core, powered by a strong EU.
It’s globalism – sorry, “multilateralism”.
Globalism has been the end game since the pandemic started. Hence the
Pandemic Treaty, the new IHR regulations all that fun stuff. One world
government (or maybe two world
governments, if the New Cold War plays out as expected), installed in the name
of public health.
Note that this launch lines up with a lot of “coincidental” domestic
political movements from around the world.
For example, in the US they are set to vote on the “Improving Digital Identity Act”, which would require digital ID to do…pretty much everything.
In Canada major corporations are uniting to embrace digital ID as a key part
of Agenda 2030 and “sustainable development goals”.
In the UK Sir Keir Starmer
has promised a “totally digital NHS” under the next Labour government.
In essence, each country – for notionally different reasons, and
supposedly independently of their own free will – are all going to develop a
digital ID/health passport system at exactly the same time, and while working with the WHO to ensure
“interoperability”.
Therein lies the plausible deniability. See, it won’t be one global
health and surveillance system! No, it will be 100+ different “interoperable”
systems…that just happened by
chance to all be conceived and built at the same time along the same
guidelines.
A distinction good enough to fuel the inevitable defenses from corporate
fact-checkers even if it can’t fool anyone else.
However, all that aside, the most interesting part of this story is where
you read about it.
Viz – the back pages.
At the height of the pandemic, this would be big news, maybe breaking
news in big red letters. There’d be op-eds in all the major outlets celebrating
the move, accompanied by “fact checks” with headlines like “No, global digital passports doesn’t mean
one world government”.
Now, if you’re not following certain social media accounts or regularly
checking the news cycles for quite specific terms, you’d never have heard about
this. It’s not even mentioned in any mainstream news site I’ve read.
Resistance has pushed the New Normal narrative out of the limelight, to
be replaced by war porn, Trump, illegal immigrants or Harry and Meghan.
You’re all being encouraged to think the Great Reset was a flash in the
pan, the New Normal just an old joke. 2020 was just a bad dream & now
everything us back to normal & Left versus Right, East versus West…
But no. This is the last reel of the scary movie. The demon seems to be exorcised, the danger looks like it’s over and the heroine
has gone to take a bath, unaware of what’s creeping slowly toward her from the
shadows.
The Great Reset is still very much alive, but your resistance temporarily
shut it down, so it’s changed its tactic. It was overt. Now it’s covert. Now
it’s hoping to sneak in while you’re not looking and snatch you up and swallow
you down before you even know what’s happening.
It’s incredibly important you don’t let that happen.
So – wake up, and wake other people up. Shake them. Yell at them. Get
them to look over their shoulder at the big rough beast slouching toward
Bethlehem – so we can try to stop it being born.

The Russians vs. the WHO:
Good news, finally?

About six hours after I mentioned that a prominent
conservative activist group in Russia (the dreaded “6th Column”) was petitioning the
government to declare the World Health Organization an undesirable
organization, this happened:
The
Prosecutor General’s Office requested information from the FSB about threats
from the WHO, following a request filed by The Public Commissioner for the Protection of the
Family (OUZS) [a
conservative family values advocacy group co-chaired by Katyusha’s
Andrei Tsganov —
Edward].
Less than two
weeks have passed since OUZS sent a
request to the Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor
General’s Office, asking about the possibility of recognizing the World Health
Organization as an undesirable organization in Russia. And to our surprise, the
prosecutor’s office responded quite quickly.
In a response
signed by the prosecutor of the department for supervision over the
implementation of laws on federal security, interethnic relations, countering
extremism and terrorism, O.N. Nikonorova, the Prosecutor General’s Office
informed OUZS that, “as part of the consideration of the application,
information was requested from the competent authorities about the presence of
threats from the named organization. If there are grounds, the Prosecutor
General’s Office of the Russian Federation will take prosecutorial response
measures.”
It will be
very interesting how these same competent authorities (the FSB, for starters)
will answer the prosecutor. We will not neglect to ask the prosecutor later if
our state security specialists disclosed information about the systemic
anti-demographic work of the WHO.
The Telegram update (written by OUZS, and republished by Stop Vaczism, which is a must-follow in my humble opinion) also noted that the WHO’s
open promotion of 40 different genders should be reason enough for Moscow to
cancel its membership in the Bill Gates-funded global health cabal.

Rasmussen said:

“If Nato cannot agree on a clear path forward for Ukraine, there is a
clear possibility that some countries individually might take action. We know
that Poland is very
engaged in providing concrete assistance to Ukraine. And I wouldn’t exclude the
possibility that Poland would engage even stronger in this context on a
national basis and be followed by the Baltic states, maybe including the
possibility of troops on the ground.
“I think the Poles would seriously consider going in and assemble a
coalition of the willing if Ukraine doesn’t get anything in Vilnius. We
shouldn’t underestimate the Polish feelings, the Poles feel that for too long
western Europe did not listen to their warnings against the true Russian
mentality.” See this.
The past days, Ukraine has suffered very heavy losses in exchange for no
gains. Germany sent 14 Leopard tanks, and Ukraine already lost 8. According to
Col. Douglas Macgregor, Ukraine in the past days lost 54 tanks, 210 armored
personnel carriers (out of 1,200 from NATO), and 4,000 dead and wounded
soldiers, but without any progress. Also today, Thursday, there are reports
about very heavy Ukrainian losses and small or no gains. Kiev is in a desperate
hurry, because Ukraine is running out of air defense and artillery ammunition.
Rasmussen’s remarks confirm the impression, that Ukraine could break
down soon, if not supported by NATO troops.
Soon, an open Russia-NATO war is a reality.

Must our leaders take us to the brink of World War
III, with all our lives on the line in an all-out nuclear war, before they will
permit a ceasefire and a negotiated peace?
When Japan
invited the leaders of Brazil, India and Indonesia to attend the G7 summit in
Hiroshima, there were glimmers of hope that it might be a forum for these rising
economic powers from the Global South to discuss their advocacy for peace in
Ukraine with the wealthy Western G7 countries that are militarily allied with
Ukraine and have so far remained deaf to pleas for peace.
But it was
not to be. Instead, the Global South leaders were forced to sit and listen as
their hosts announced their latest plans to tighten sanctions against Russia
and further escalate the war by sending U.S.-built F-16 warplanes to Ukraine.
The G7 summit
stands in stark contrast to efforts of leaders from around the world who are
trying to end the conflict. In the past, the leaders of Turkey, Israel and
Italy have stepped up to try to mediate. Their efforts were bearing fruit back
in April 2022, but were blocked by the West, particularly the U.S. and U.K., which
did not want Ukraine to make an independent peace agreement with Russia.

Agenda Report co-founder Bruce Dixon coined the term “sheepdog”
to describe the role that Bernie Sanders would play in the 2016 presidential
campaign. Dixon presciently said, “Bernie's job is to warm up the crowd for
Hillary, herding activist energies and the disaffected left back into the
Democratic fold one more time. Bernie aims to tie up activist energies and
resources till the summer of 2016 when the only remaining choice will be the
usual lesser of two evils.” The word stuck and since that time the question is
rightly asked whether a particular democratic challenger is serious about
getting the nomination or is merely a sheepdog who will herd supporters back
into the hands of their party’s oligarchy.
That question arises again now that Robert
F. Kennedy, Jr. has announced his
presidential campaign. Kennedy obviously has the advantage of name recognition,
and he isn’t shy about making frequent references to “my uncle” and “my
father.” Yet he is attractive to leftists in the party because he is willing to
take positions in opposition to its established orthodoxy. He does make the
obligatory references to Russia’s “brutal invasion” of Ukraine but he also
points out what no one in the Democratic Party will say, that the war was provoked by U.S. actions and he calls the billions of dollars
in allocations to the Ukrainian government a “money laundering operation for
the military industrial complex.”

“Sear the Fear”

Waking up to the red sun in the morning when sailors take warning is a
miracle nevertheless. The world turns as it always has. Early in June here in
the grand country of Canada, in the province of Quebec the lily of the valley
honeys the air. As does, or as will the 140 fires spreading up north as of June
2, 2023. The average over 10 years of fires to date consumed 273.3 hectares of
land. Presently it has consumed 182,964.8 hectares.
I do not smell the smoke yet for the fires are still far away. They are
coming closer though, about 70 km away now. I suspect it will not smell like
honey. It will smell like fear. It already smells suspicious. It smells like
someone’s agenda. But to go there in thought is a kind of madness. Can we just
accept that this is something normal that sometimes happens? Most people will.
But for some people in the on-line world these fires are not just fires.
They are a million things. For this group to accept that these are just fires
caused mostly by lightning and try to accept that it is madness to ponder
otherwise is a remote possibility. It is in their nature. In that sense I am
too much involved in understanding the busy-ness of the world and all its
nonsense.
Listening to these dialogues and conjectures makes me long for the days
when I could simply believe that things happen without needing to know why—that
generous kindly act of Faith so many have of knowing it-is-what-it-is
philosophy. It is as it has been willed.
But no unfortunately there could be many reasons real or imagined as to
why my province is burning. And arguments and conjectures can be framed from
any different vantage point and almost all of them end up being for nefarious
reasons because that is what humans sometimes do to pass their time.
So the game is on. Let me know in the comments why you think the
provinces of Quebec and Alberta in Canada are burning.
Now the first thing people say is that it was a very dry winter. And all
I can think of is my snowplough man who was frantic with work this year. He’d
arrive red-faced and weary from long days muttering about the workload. In such
kinds of winter, the snowplough man is your best friend. I remember looking out
at huge snowbanks obscuring my far view. Was that just my imagination? My
snowplough bill says otherwise. It is dry now, but not so much drier than
normal. From what I can see in the real world. And that leaves questions.
And every question must begin with a frame of reference and in the world
we have now those frames are always somebody’s agenda. And the biggest agenda
we’ve got these days is that of the WEF as we all know by now. But let us not
go there yet. Let us look at other outrageous reasons I’ve come across.
The number 1 reason we go to is climate change. We have been taught well.
The earth is warming horribly or cooling or changing or something. We are
doomed. More and more fires and dryness and horrible things are happening.
Perhaps it is the methane all wrapped up in the bog lands releasing and catching
fire. Perhaps it is the earths mantle moving with earthquakes and continental
drift and seeping up. Perhaps it is deforestation. Perhaps it is the
magnetosphere no longer protecting us. Perhaps it is a hole in the ozone and
solar flares. Or not.
The number 2 reason we go to is accidental. The cigarette butt. The
spring burning of the fields. The campfires not put out properly. The Teslas
catching on fire. The lightning strikes. The electrical grid misfiring. The
pipelines in the sun.
The number 3 reason we go to is arson. And there is the complications.
Who would want to hurt us dear benign ridiculously peaceful people? There are
the firebug types who probably tortured animals as children. They watch the
flames as if they were a savage salvation. There are the groups that hate. The
ones that hate the world and want to burn it down literally. Perhaps Antifa or
Genders for Genocide or No Lives Matter or some such thing where the
camaraderie of vengeance is all they know for their aloneness. Maybe it was
pipeline sabotage or flame-throwing drones.
The number 4 reason we go to is enemy action. Perhaps because we are
theoretically at war. It could be a DEW which stands for Directed Energy
Weapons from planes or satellites in space. (The things you learn when you ask
why I tellya) The enemy is on the attack. But who? The Russians? The Chinese
which seems more likely here in Canada since we’ve closed their illegal police
stations and are questioning their interference in the election. But that makes
no sense because they own most of Canada now and why would they burn it down?
The number 5 reason is our own government. The most horrifying guess of
all. Why would the two provinces in Canada who have threatened separation from
the union at one time or another, Alberta and Quebec be in flames? Threatened
to know their place? Or perhaps then suddenly very much in need of full federal
emergency support? And why are there hardly any planes showing on flightradar
firefighting? Or some think it is a way to cover up chemtrails or the cremation
of all those who succumbed to Canada’s new euthanasia law. Let’s not go there.
It is too dark to be true.
The number 6 reason is They of the WEF. Not the benign people of the WEF
but the ones involved in all sorts of skullduggery to achieve Their evil ends.
Perhaps They want us to be afraid of climate change more than we are. Perhaps
Canada wasn’t scoring high on carbon emissions so They’d needed to up those
numbers in order to rationalize climate lockdowns and what better way than to
start fires and smoke those numbers up?
Perhaps it is Their agenda of terrorizing people to make them conform and
take orders? Or to finally convince all those who live outside the cities in
the burning wildernesses to move to their 15-minute-cities with all the
protection they could want. And these wildernesses as planned will be protected
and we can get day-passes to visit one day. What better way to have us grow
accustomed to forbidden access to parks as they have done?
Or perhaps They want to build their Versailles and They’ll have to clear
out all the detritus of inconvenient people, buildings and trees. Or perhaps
this is prime mining for lithium and such and They’ll need to set up camps for
the mooing herds to work in—building us all our batteries and microchips since
we won’t have Taiwan anymore. Also all too dark to be true.
Perhaps it is not happening at all and only exists in headlines and on
screens?
All these horrible reasons are just horrible. After listening and reading
all these theories I thought I might go with aliens but I can’t imagine why the
aliens hate Quebec. Is it our poutine? And so I’ll go with “The Act of God” as
my belief. No matter which way you look at it, it is all an Act of God.
Whatever you conceive God to be. Which is most comforting as I sit here waiting
for the smoke to waft through the windows with the warning from the weather
channel of fine-particulate matter in the air and the forecast for tomorrow
literally reading “Smoke.” Even the weather channel wants to scare us.

“ How Canadian wildfires are
turning Climate Change into a ‘public health emergency’ ”

Canadian
wildfires are all over the headlines, but this latest dose of climate-related
fear-porn is just another stage in a propaganda campaign aiming to “pivot from covid to climate”.
Now, first
things first, let’s discuss the fires themselves.
Forest fires,
or wildfires, are a perfectly natural phenomenon and a vital part of the
ecosystem, enabling fresh regrowth and putting nutrients into the soil.
They happened
for hundreds of millions of years before humans existed, and will
continue to happen long after we’ve gone the way of the Dodo.
Are these
current fires especially bad? Or especially widespread?
We don’t
know. We DO know, from our coverage of the 2019 Amazon “crisis”, that the media has previously relied on manipulated
statistics to make wildfires seem worse than they were.
We also know
there are efforts to associate yearly forest fires with alleged man-made
climate change, even when it is freely admitted that
other factors are likely to blame.
We also know
this story wouldn’t be on the front pages if it didn’t serve some agenda. So
what IS that agenda? What’s the story behind the story?
Well, part of
it is the “air quality” narrative.
Do you
remember the Gas Stoves palaver from a few months ago? The Blues wanted to ban
them and the Reds didn’t, but the real story behind that story was a propaganda push to regulate indoor air quality: I wrote at the time:
I would
suggest some new “smart” technology is coming that will monitor air quality and
indoor C02 emissions. Like smart electricity and water meters, but for your
air.
It turns out
I was right…well, actually the tech already existed.
Amazon’s “Smart Air Monitor” is connected to Alexa and sets off alarms if your air
quality is poor. Of course, you need Alexa active to use it. Which means you
need to agree to Amazon harvesting your data and listening in on your conversations.
In a handy
piece of timing, the EU has launched its own air quality monitoring app. And, in just the last few days, many
publications are brazenly running ads and “reviews” for “smart air monitors” or HEPA filters.
But that’s
likely as much to do with opportunism and corporate greed as anything else.
The real
agenda here is climate change – not just the usual spread of panic, or even
constructing false evidence of its existence – but rebranding it.
Transforming
Climate Change from an environmental
issue, into a public health
issue.
This is not a
new idea, it started almost as soon as
Covid arrived and moved onto the front pages when we saw the
first “climate change diagnosis” in late 2021. But it has clearly been
gaining momentum for the past few months.
In March, the
Council on Foreign Relations published an article on “Managing the Health Risks of
Climate Change”, which opens with:
Climate
change has risen to the top of the global health agenda, threatening
individuals and populations through multiple exposure pathways, across a full
spectrum of physical and mental health conditions and social determinants of
health.
In April the
Guardian ran an opinion piece headlined:
Climate
emergency is the biggest health crisis of our time – bigger than Covid
Then, in late
May, the World Health Organization – having freshly declared the “emergency phase” of Covid over – made “an impassioned plea for urgent climate action”, with chairman
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus saying [emphasis added]:
The most
pressing reasons for urgent climate action are the impacts not in the future,
but right now, on health […] The climate crisis is a health crisis, fuelling
outbreaks, contributing to higher rates of noncommunicable diseases, and
threatening to overwhelm our health workforce and health infrastructure.”
Just last
week, the Cairo Review of Global Affairs – a publication of the American
University of Cairo – ran an interview with COP27 Youth Envoy Omnia El Omrani,
headlined simply “Climate Change: A Global
Health Emergency”.
The article
uses the word “health” over fifty times, and underlines that we need to “keep health at the core of climate change
negotiations”, claims that Climate Change policy is not “[a] response to political or economic
incentives, but in anticipation of an evolving health crisis” and,
perhaps most tellingly, draws a direct parallel with Covid:
we saw with
COVID-19, which was a health emergency, countries were responding and were
mobilizing resources and financing for it. Climate change needs to be the same.
It is a health emergency.
Meanwhile,
and apparently totally coincidentally, the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts
and Sciences (KNAW) just published a report on “climate
change’s impact on health, warning of dire consequences should the world not
act to curb global warming”:
If climate
change continues to warm the earth unabated, billions of people could
experience “heat stress, infectious diseases, malnutrition, flooding, and
mental health problems,”
(I know
you’re getting tired of me saying “I told you so”, but I did actually predict last year that all kinds of illnesses from water-borne diseases
to mental health problems would be re-categorized as “climate-related health
issues”.)
Accompanying
the broad-spectrum policy statements is the usual sprinkling of anecdotes and
human interest BS to add flavour to the propaganda salad. Stories like “Climate
change is harming my mental health” from the BBC just today.
…and so we
cycle back to Canadian wildfires, and the poor air quality everyone is talking
about. The press are keen to underline that the fires were caused by climate change, that
therefore the bad air is due to climate change, and that the bad air is a massive risk to public health.
Ergo, climate
change = bad for public health.
People are
being encouraged to “mask up” all over the Eastern United States, with New
Yorkers being told to stay indoors. This is more than just further normalization of
masks and lockdowns, it’s a psychological trick that causes people to associate
“climate change” and “covid” in their minds.
As I wrote
last year:
Covid worked
and climate didn’t. They have been stoking up public fear of “a new ice age”
and acid rain and the hole in the ozone layer and myriad other supposedly
incipient climate disasters for literal decades, and never touched one-tenth of
the level of hysteria created by the Covid19 “pandemic”. Somewhere, some not
especially bright public relations executive has decided that the way to push
the “pivot from Covid to climate” is to try and turn the long-predicted
environmental disaster into a public health issue.
…and that’s
what they are doing. Why? Because they need the right kind of fear.
It’s all
about taking the vague background anxiety of climate change – which most people
have simply started to ignore – and morphing it into the primal fear for the
self that washed over the world during the “pandemic”.
The kind of
panicked hysteria that saw people pepper-spraying
strangers and taping up plastic sheeting all over the house.
That’s the
kind of madness they will need in the general population if they’re going to
push through the Great Green Reset.

Little is
known about the history of Marianna Spring, the BBC’s first “disinformation
correspondent.” But her record of churning out disinfo of her own in the
service of British government objectives sends a bright red flag up over the
new Verify project.
The launch of BBC Verify, “a new brand
to address the growing threat of disinformation and build trust with audiences
by transparently showing how BBC journalists know the information they are
reporting,” has raised questions about whether the British state broadcaster is
ramping up plans to manufacture consent for official objectives while maligning
dissent.
The endeavor is said to be “a highly specialized team with a range of
forensic and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) capabilities that enable them to
go beyond conventional newsroom techniques.” In all, 60 BBC journalists are
involved – including the “specialist disinformation correspondent” Marianna
Spring.
The week after Verify’s rollout was announced, the 27-year-old Spring
took to airwaves to acquaint BBC Breakfast viewers with her new venture. She
explained its mission was to “verify video, factcheck, counter disinformation,
and analyze really complex stories so we can get to the truth of what’s going
on.”
Standing before three interactive video screens, Spring outlined an array
of investigative projects soon to appear under the auspices of Verify. They
included an initiative employing “undercover accounts” which comprise a set of
fake “characters” active on social media networks. The ostensible purpose of
the sock-puppets created by Spring and her BBC associates is to “really
understand polarization online and what’s happening on our social media feeds
and what we’re being recommended and being pushed to us [sic] can affect all of
us.”

not doing school, it’s ok. I dropped out of college. And I’m doing great,” she adds.

On Dec. 24, 2022 Matt Taibbi was in a room at the
Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco poring through reports sent to Twitter from an
entity called the Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF). The FITF is an FBI-led
interagency task force that forwards “moderation requests” from numerous
government agencies, including Homeland Security, the CIA, the Pentagon and the
State Department, to social media outlets. Taibbi was given access to the
internal traffic by Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk. It revealed how the FBI and
other government agencies routinely suppressed news and commentary. He published a Twitter thread that
night, Christmas Eve, with the headline “Twitter and Other Government
Agencies”.
“There would be a list of YouTube videos,” Taibbi said when I reached him
by phone. “There would be a notation that would say ‘We assess that these are
all created by the Internet Research Agency in
Russia. We assess that they are promoting anti-Ukraine attitudes.’ I would see
that all those videos were no longer on YouTube. You can make your own
deduction from that, but that was the pattern. They would send Excel spreadsheets
full of account names and either all or most of them would be gone.”
The content that was suppressed included right-wing and left-wing reports critical of
the dominant narrative advanced by the Democratic Party and the old
establishment wing of the Republican Party, which has been folded into the
Democratic Party. Threads from the Yellow Vests movement, activists from the
Occupy movement, Global
Revolution Live, negative stories about Joe
Biden, reports on the Ukrainian energy company Burisma that paid Hunter Biden about $1 million a year while his father was
vice-president, positive stories about Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro,
reports about Ukrainian human rights abuses and details of the contents of
Hunter Biden’s laptop were part of the plethora of accounts that were flagged
and disappeared.

Evidence
suggests that the Israelis were ordered to attack the ship as part of a
false-flag operation aimed at provoking a U.S. invasion of Egypt that was to
result in the overthrow of Gamal Abdel Nasser. The Johnson administration then
planned to carry out a nuclear first strike with the aim of “clobbering
Russia,” and securing unfettered global hegemony.
On June 8, 1967, Israeli air and naval forces—with covered over
insignia—fired rockets, torpedoes and napalm on a U.S. spy ship, the USS Liberty, in the Mediterranean Sea,
killing 34 Americans and injuring 174 more. A secret congressional hearing
revealed that two of the pilots were Americans—ex-Navy fliers.[1]
A survivor stated that the ship’s deck
afterwards looked “like the floor of a slaughterhouse, with pieces of flesh,
bone, hair, various organs and everything else…held in place by dried blood.”
In 2021, the CIA released three one-page information reports from June
and October 1967, which quoted sources in Tel Aviv stating: “Israel’s forces
knew exactly what flag the LIBERTY was flying” and Israeli Defense Minister
Moshe Dayan “personally ordered the attack” on the USS Liberty “over the objections of senior military officers, one
of whom characterized the attack as “pure murder.”
When an Israeli pilot, Ammon Tavni (aka Even Tov), radioed Israeli air
command that the USS Liberty
was an American naval vessel, he was ordered to attack it, and then arrested
for disobeying orders after he refused.[2]

Fifty-Six Years Ago, June 8, 1967
With a very few exceptions, it’s barely mentioned in the mainstream
media whether it’s CNN, MSNBC, FOX news, The New York Times, or the Washington
Post. It is never mentioned in public school history books and forget
Hollywood, no movie would ever be produced on that tragic day since Zionists conspirators run
the movie industry. And of course, the most treasonous people to their own country, the
Israeli-controlled US political establishment would never dare mention what
happened on June 8th, 1967 when America’s most treasured
ally, the ‘Jewish State’ of Israel attacked the USS
Liberty, a US Navy technical research ship which was basically a spy ship, killing
34 and injured over 171 crew members including marines, US Naval personal
including officers, seamen and even a civilian employee from the National
Security Agency (NSA).
The attack on the USS Liberty happened during the height of the Six-Day War
between Israel and the Arab world that included Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon,
Syria and to an extent Iraq, however, the US had claimed ‘neutral status’ and
was in international waters towards the north of the Sinai Peninsula before the
war had even started.
Then the USS Liberty was ordered to sail towards the
eastern Mediterranean Sea to collect intelligence close to the north coast
of Sinai, Egypt. During their mission, the Israel Air Force (IAF) had flown
over the USS Liberty supposedly searching for Egyptian submarines that was
previously located near the coast. At around 2 pm, the IAF sent two Mirage III
fighter jets to monitor the USS Liberty which the Israelis say had
no “distinguishable markings” or any flag on the ship which was a lie
and then the Mirage fighters opened fire on the USS Liberty.
Here is where it gets complicated, right before the attack, the Mirage
fighter jets, codename Kursa had communicated with an Israeli command post
weapons systems officer, air controllers and a chief air controller who
reportedly questioned whether there was a US ship in the area, so at around
1:57 pm, the chief air controller, Lieutenant-Colonel Shmuel Kislev
gave the orders to attack the USS Liberty.
The Israeli fighter jets unleashed 30-mm cannons, rockets, and napalm
thus killing and injuring many of the US crew members. The Israelis even
managed to jam-up the US communications systems right before the attack which
means that the Israelis knew that it was an American Naval ship. On top of the
Israeli fighter jets already attacking the USS Liberty, there were three
additional Israeli torpedo boats who also launched an attack on the ship with
cannons, mounted machine guns and torpedoes. One of the torpedo’s killed 25
crew members instantly. The Israeli torpedo boats also targeted life rafts as
the crew tried to abandon the ship.
It was clear that Israel and the Lyndon B. Johnson regime wanted no
witnesses who could have exposed Israel’s attack to the American public.

Aid cuts a "death
sentence" for Gaza's poor

May proved to be an extremely cruel month for Ammar Banat and his family.
First, the family learned that the World Food Programme (WFP) was about
to end the food aid on which they depend.
Next, they received a phone call telling them to evacuate their home in
the Beit Lahiya area of northern Gaza as it was about to be bombed by the
Israeli military. Their home was destroyed and they are now forced to live in a
warehouse.
According to Ammar, news of the aid cut was a more “crushing blow” than
being made homeless.
“They took away the food aid without any justification,” he said. “It is
impossible for us to survive without it.”
Ammar is an unemployed father of six.
In recent times, the only work he has been able to find was as a farm
laborer.
The work has not been steady. He would typically be hired for one day and
then have no work for the following 10 days.
And – at approximately $8 per day – the wages have been meager.
For around seven years, he and his family have received a monthly food
basket from the WFP, consisting of essential items like flour, sugar, salt and
cooking oil.
Such aid has equally proven vital for his extended family. His brother
Faraj – also left homeless by Israel’s May attack on Gaza – has been receiving
a voucher worth $47 per month from the WFP.
Faraj described the combined effect of the May bombing and the aid cuts
as “an unbearable burden to bear.”
“I have no money to feed my children,” he said.
Forced to
beg?
This month, the WFP is suspending aid to about 200,000
Palestinians. The cuts have been caused by a $51 million funding shortfall.
Further cuts – likely to impact 100,000 other Palestinian aid recipients
– are expected by August, unless the funding gap is filled.
Most of Gaza’s 2 million inhabitants are categorized as food insecure.
They depend on aid.
The full blockade imposed by Israel has caused extreme hardship.
According to the latest available data, unemployment now stands at
46 percent in Gaza.
Having a job often does not offer sufficient protection from poverty.
Around 88 percent of employees in Gaza are paid less than the legal minimum
wage stipulated by the Palestinian Authority (1,800 shekels or roughly $500 per
month).
Salwa Warsh Agha is a mother of two children and lives in Beit Lahiya.
Their one-bedroom home is small and dilapidated.
She has relied on a monthly WFP voucher of $30 for the past seven years.
Without that payment, she fears that she will be unable to cope.
“Will I have to beg so that my children will be fed?” she asked.
The stress is exacerbating her health problems. She has undergone three eye
operations and has constant back pain.
“Life in Gaza is hard,” she said. “I have not been able to afford medical
treatment and I am now struggling with high blood pressure.”
Unable to pay her electricity bills, she tries to shrug off the prospect
of being arrested or imprisoned for debt. “I’m already living in despair,” she
said.

By satisfying
an extremist religious constituency, Ramzy Baroud says the prime
minister is turning Israel into a country with leaders determined to institute
a religious war.
After signing a military decree on May
18, allowing illegal Israeli Jewish settlers to reclaim the abandoned Homesh
settlement located in the northern Occupied West Bank, the Israeli government
has informed the Biden administration it will not turn the area into a new
settlement.
The latter revelation was reported by Axios on May 23. This
contradiction is hardly surprising. While Israel’s far-right ministers, Itamar
Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, know precisely what they want, Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to perform an impossible political act: he wants
to fulfill all the wishes of Ben-Gvir and Smotrich, but without veering off the
U.S. political agenda in the Middle East, and without creating the
circumstances that could eventually topple the Palestinian Authority.
Moreover, Netanyahu wants to normalize with Arab governments while
continuing to colonize Palestine, expand settlements and have complete control
over Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Palestinian Muslim and Christian holy shrines.
Worse still, he wants, per the insistence of Ben-Gvir and his extremist
religious constituency, to repopulate Homesh and create new outposts while
avoiding an all-out armed rebellion in the West Bank.

Katharina von Schnurbein, the EU’s coordinator for combating
anti-Semitism, has lied when confronted with concerns about how the IHRA
definition of anti-Semitism is used to censor, smear and punish supporters of
Palestinian rights.

The controversial definition of anti-Semitism adopted by the European
Union and dozens of countries, local governments and institutions within the
bloc has led to “widespread restrictions of the right of assembly and freedom
of expression.”
That’s one of the sobering findings of a new report from the European Legal
Support Center (ELSC), an organization that defends Palestinian rights
advocates from pervasive censorship.
The report also draws attention to how the effort to redefine criticism
of Israel as anti-Semitism – which eventually culminated in the International
Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of anti-Semitism – was
originally funded by Mossad, Israel’s notorious global spying and assassination
agency.
The report documents 53 cases in Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom,
and concludes that in the “overwhelming majority of cases” allegations of
anti-Semitism that have been made using the IHRA definition, were false.
Among the cases, 42 involved allegations against people of color – 19 of
them Palestinians – and 11 related to accusations of anti-Semitism against
Jewish individuals or groups which had expressed sympathy with Palestinians.
This pattern indicates that the definition is being implemented in a
“discriminatory manner,” according to ELSC.
Through its government ministries and embassies, Israel has been a
“driving force behind the weaponization of the IHRA” definition, ELSC states.
“Surveillance”
Most challenges ultimately proved that the allegations of anti-Semitism
were unsubstantiated, but often at high cost to those accused, including
litigation, reputational damage, loss of employment and mental harm. Fear of
such consequences acts as a major chill on free speech.

Scheme Enlists High School Students as Trolls Against Palestine

In April, Israel’s Foreign Affairs Ministry launched a program training
high school students to boost the country’s image online. However, as global
awareness grows of Israel’s human rights violations, the government is turning
teenagers into its own personal troll army to combat the Palestinian-led
Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement’s efforts on social media.
Disguised as an academic initiative preparing students for the public
diplomacy field, the program, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA),
will operate as a pilot for two years and begin in September. In the first
year, it will target 10th graders and then add 11th and 12th graders in its
second year.
According to the MFA: this “task force of teenagers…will respond to the public relations and
propaganda of radical elements, with extreme ideologies against the State of
Israel and antisemitism in general.”
The ministry did not respond to MintPress
News’ inquiries about why it targets high school students or how much
funding the project will receive.
Instead of shifting the status quo, Lara Friedman, president of the
Foundation for Middle East Peace (FMEP), told MintPress News that the program is just another futile attempt
by Israel and its lobby to dissuade criticism. Friedman continued,
This is consistent with the longstanding talking point of much of the
U.S. pro-Israel leadership and the Israeli government, which says, ‘Don’t worry
about what we’re doing. Worry about how you’re going to sell it.”
Rather than look inward, Israel is instead trying to shift outside
perspective. “The answer to criticism of Israel for its policies vis-a-vis the
Palestinians isn’t to examine those policies and change them. It’s to do a
better job changing the subject to things that are positive about Israel or
de-legitimizing the critics,” Friedman said.
David Miller, a British sociologist and expert on propaganda, explained
that Israel is taking this approach as its reputation across the globe sours.
“Israel has been poisoned internationally for many years now,” he said,
adding,
Israel is at a point of great weakness. They see that themselves —
ministers and ex-heads of Shin Bet [Israel’s security agency] are unsure if Israel
can last. And so it’s a desperation because they realize that the tide of
opinion is against them.”

‘Piecemeal Crisis Management’

Remarks by China’s United Nations Ambassador, Geng Shuang, on the
situation in Occupied Palestine on May 24 were impeccable in
terms of their consistency with international law.
Compared to the United States’ position, which perceives the UN, and
particularly the Security Council, as a battleground to defend Israeli
interests, the Chinese political discourse reflects a legal stance based on a
deep understanding of the realities on the ground.
Articulating the Chinese thinking during a UNSC ‘Briefing on the
Situation in the Middle East, including the Palestine Question,’ Geng did not
mince his words. He spoke forcefully about the “irreplaceable” need for a
“comprehensive and just solution” that is based on ending Israel’s
“provocations” in Jerusalem and the respect for the right of “Muslim
worshipers” as well as the “custodianship of Jordan” in the city’s holy sites.
Widening the context of the reasons behind the latest violence in
Palestine and the May 9 Israeli war on Gaza, Geng went on to state a position that both Tel Aviv and
Washington find utterly objectionable. He unapologetically condemned the
‘illegal expansion of (Israeli Jewish) settlements’ in Occupied Palestine and
Israel’s “unilateral action,” urging Tel Aviv to “immediately halt” all its
illegal activities.
Geng proceeded to discuss issues that have been relatively ignored,
including “the plight of the Palestinian refugees.”
In doing so, Geng has enunciated his country’s political vision regarding
a just solution in Palestine, one that is predicated on ending the Israeli
occupation, halting Tel Aviv’s expansionist policies, and respecting the rights
of the Palestinian people.
But is this position new?
While it is true that China’s policies on Palestine and Israel have
historically been consistent with international law, China, in recent years,
attempted to tailor a more ‘balanced’ position, one that does not impede
growing Israeli-Chinese trade, particularly in the area of advanced
microchips technology.
However, the China-Israel affinity was motivated by more than mere trade.
Since its official launch, China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has
served as the cornerstone of Beijing’s global outlook. The massive project involves nearly 150
countries and aims to connect Asia with Europe and Africa via land and maritime
networks.
Due to its location on the Mediterranean Sea, Israel’s strategic
importance to China, which, for years, has been keen on gaining access to
Israeli seaports, has doubled.

You have to convey utter nonsense to your readers while maintaining a
straight face and a serious demeanor.
You have to suggest the Russians may have exploded a drone over the
Kremlin, that they may have blown up their own gas pipeline, that their
president is an out-of-touch psychotic, that their soldiers in Ukraine are
drunkards using faulty equipment, that they attack with “human hordes”
(Orientalism, anyone?) and on and on — all the while affecting the gravitas
once associated with the traditional “Timesman.” You try it sometime.
I am reminded of that pithy passage in Daniel Boorstin’s regrettably
overlooked book, The Image.
“The reporter’s task,” Boorstin wrote in 1962, “is to find a way of weaving
these threads of unreality into a fabric that the reader will not recognize as
entirely unreal.”
Boorstin reflected on America’s resort to imagery, illusion and
distortion as Washington geared up its gruesome follies in Vietnam. The
reporter’s task is a whole lot harder now, given how much further we have
wandered into illusion and distortion since Boorstin’s day.
And now we have the case of Thomas Gibbons–Neff, a square-jawed former
Marine covering the Ukraine war for the Times
— strictly to the extent the Kyiv regime permits him to do so, as he explains
with admirable honesty. This guy is serious times 10, he and his newspaper want
us to know.
Tom’s job this week is to persuade us that all those Ukrainian soldiers
wearing Nazi insignia, idolizing Jew-murdering, Russophobic collaborators with
the Third Reich, gathering ritually in Nazi-inspired cabals, marching through
Kyiv in Klan-like torch parades are not what you think.
Nah, our Tom tells us. They look like neo–Nazis, they act like neo–Nazis,
they dress like neo–Nazis, they profess Fascist and neo–Nazi ideologies, they
wage this war with the Wehrmacht’s
visceral hatred of Russians — O.K., but whyever would you think they are
neo–Nazis?
They are just regular guys. They wear the Wolfsangel, the Schwarze
sonne, the black sun, the Totenkopf,
or Death’s Head — all Nazi symbols — because they are proud of themselves, and
these are the kinds of things proud people wear. I was just wearing mine the
other day.

Gonzalo Lira faces a long prison term in Ukraine for criticizing the country’s
government. Shunned by the US government, his father is fighting to stop the
“slow death of a son.”
When US media have demonstrated any interest in the arrest of an American
citizen, Gonzalo Lira, it has been primarily to celebrate his prosecution on the
grounds that he has been “shilling for Putin.” The US State Department,
meanwhile, refuses to answer questions about the disappearance of an American
at the hands of a government substantially funded by Washington.
The Grayzone spoke to Lira’s father, 80-year-old Gonzalo Lira Sr., about
his son’s arrest. “I can only say that this episode has marked my life because
it is living a slow death of a son,” Lira Sr. said. He fretted that the
Ukrainian government was preparing a “kangaroo court” for his son, and lamented
that it could lock him up for over a decade for his political speech.
Lira is an American and Chilean citizen who has been living in Kharkov,
Ukraine for several years. He first emerged as a novelist, then attempted a
career as a filmmaker before marketing himself as a dating coach known as
“Coach Red Pill.”
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Lira earned
internet notoriety as a war blogger. His analysis of the Russian military
operation and harsh criticisms of the Ukrainian government from within
Ukrainian territory instantly transformed him into a top target of Kiev’s often
rabid band of online supporters. On May 1, Ukrainian state security agents
arrested Lira for the second time in just over a year.
The first time he was jailed, Lira emerged after several days, announcing
his freedom to the public through new social media accounts. This time,
however, Ukrainian authorities charged him with the alleged crime of justifying
“Russia’s armed aggression” and disseminating “fakes about the war in Ukraine.”
If convicted of these crimes, he faces 13 years in prison.
Lira’s arrest was announced alongside the detention of ten other so-called “internet agitators” living
in Ukraine.
“The blogger also denied the facts of Russian missile strikes on
Ukrainian cities and mass murders of civilians by ruscists,” the SBU said in an
official statement, likely referring to
disputed narratives around the massacre in Bucha in March 2022 and
missile strikes on the Kramatorsk train
station in April of that year. Lira challenged the Ukrainian government’s
version of events in both instances.

Throughout 2023, a series of anti-Syrian refugee bills, a failing
economy, and anti-Syrian rhetoric have deepened the plight of the two million
Syrian refugees living in Lebanon. Hate crimes

Weekly Israeli strikes have kept both the Aleppo
and Damascus airports perpetually out of service, preventing much-needed aid
shipments from entering the country. Syrians living abroad and hoping to return
home must therefore face Lebanese customs once they land in the Middle East.
Any Syrian hoping to visit Syria for something as simple as a wedding or
a funeral, as I did this April, is likely to be subjected to a hostile
interaction by Lebanese customs officials. The officers usually demand to know
why any Syrian is entering Lebanon, and how and when they will leave. Once out
of the airport, the Syrian national is forced to take a $150 taxi ride into
Syria.
The dignity and privilege afforded to Italians landing in Fiumicino
airport for Easter holidays, and to Americans landing in Logan airport for
Thanksgiving, is not afforded to a Syrian returning home for Eid al-Fitr. And
once they are home, they must navigate life in an economy that has been
intentionally suffocated by Western sanctions.

On June 3, naval vessels from the United States and Canada conducted a
joint military exercise in the South China Sea. A Chinese warship, LY
132, overtook the U.S.
guided-missile destroyer, USS Chung-Hoon, and sped across its path. The U.S.
Indo-Pacific Command released a statement saying that the
Chinese ship “executed maneuvers in an unsafe manner.”
The spokesperson from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wang
Wenbin, responded that the United States
“made provocations first and China responded,” and that the “actions taken by
the Chinese military are completely justified, lawful, safe and professional.”
This incident is one of many in these waters, where the United States
conducts what it calls Freedom of Navigation (FON) exercises.
These FON actions are given legitimacy by Article 87(1)(a) of the
1982 United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Sea. China is a signatory to the convention, but the United States has
refused to ratify it. U.S. warships use the FON argument without legal rights
or any United Nations Security Council authorization. The U.S. Freedom of
Navigation Program was set up in 1979, before the
U.N. convention and separate from it.
Hours after this encounter in the South China Sea, U.S. Defense
Secretary Lloyd Austin spoke at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. The
Shangri-La Dialogue, which has taken place annually at the Shangri-La Hotel
since 2002, brings together military chiefs from around Asia with guests from
countries such as the United States.

Centrality constitutes the foundation of the
Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Charter. The concept guides
the way for the bloc to play a proactive role as the main driving force for its relations
and cooperation with non-members and encourages it to become the dominant
regional platform to overcome challenges and engage with external partners.
The US President Joe Biden’s “Indo-Pacific Strategy” claims to
endorse the ASEAN centrality and
support its efforts to deliver sustainable solutions to the region’s most
pressing challenges; it actually aimed to undercut the bloc’s core objective by
building the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (the Quad) as a “premiere regional grouping” and bringing together Asia-Pacific allies through the AUKUS (Australia,
the UK and the US), a trilateral security pact, which received a strong renunciation from Indonesia and Malaysia.
These institutional initiatives as well as the US Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) – which didn’t mention ASEAN centrality once – contradicted America’s commitment to ASEAN and its centrality. The exclusion of Cambodia,
Myanmar and Laos from the IPEF further cast doubts within the alliance about
Biden’s seriousness to the grouping’s unity.
Unsurprisingly, ASEAN’s response to the Quad, a hotbed of the
US strategic rivalry with China, has been muted for its tendency to challenge
the alliance’s centrality and securitize the region by creating an “Asian NATO.” The IPEF
isn’t received well within the region either where people of the major
economies hold negative views about the initiative or are uncertain the
initiative will lend a positive impact on the region (Q15).

The South
American country has more than enough arable land to feed its 46 million
people, writes Vijay Prashad. But during the rise of agribusiness, hunger and
landlessness is growing and spawning new forms of protest.
Thirty years ago, in my economics textbook in India, the section on
international trade referred to Argentina. It would be better, according to the
textbook, for the country to concentrate on the production and export of beef,
while Germany should direct its resources towards the production of
electronics.
This example was used to illustrate Adam Smith’s “absolute advantage”
principle – countries should focus on what they do “best,” rather than
diversify their economies. It seemed churlish to me, that developing countries
such as Argentina should only produce raw materials, while wealthy countries
such as Germany went ahead with technological development.
Argentina, at that time, was still a major producer and exporter of beef. My peers and I had
no access to José Hernández’s epic poem “Martín Fierro,” about the gauchos of the pampas, the cowboys of the plains of Argentina,
but we knew of the ferocious compadritos (street-corner
thugs) and cuchilleros (knife
fighters) from the short stories of Jorge Luis Borges.
There were cowboys mixed in here, loners who sat on their horses on
Argentina’s flatlands and gathered their cattle for the market. No longer do
these horsemen define Argentina’s rural society. Today, the countryside is
defined by the small farmer and the agricultural proletariat who work for the
large agribusinesses and are the protagonists of the country’s fortunes.

We are losing our elders much too quickly. The indomitable Ama Ata Aidoo,
Ghanaian feminist, writer, poet, playwright, critic, and academic joined the
ancestors last week, on May 31, 2023. Born in 1942 in the town of Abeadzi
Kyiakor, located in Saltpond in the Central Region of Ghana (then known by the
colonial name, “Gold Coast”), Aidoo began writing at the age of 15, winning a
newspaper short story competition in the process. She would go on to receive a
Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Ghana, Legon. She then
served as professor at the University of Cape Coast (Ghana) for many years, and
later served as minister of education for the Ghanaian government in the early
1980s. One of the most recognized African women writers of her generation,
Aidoo was one of the last of the post-independence cohort of women and men of
letters.
Aidoo has received a resounding send off by the media throughout Africa
and in the west. Tributes rightly celebrate not only Aidoo’s numerous works,
but her feminist orientation in the commitment to elucidating the social and
political condition of African women. However, western white feminists,
especially, were keen on focusing on Aidoo’s feminism to the exclusion of
almost everything else.
Less discussed was Aidoo’s staunch nationalism and Pan-Africanism - and
her critiques of European use and abuse of Africans. In an interview published
in a 1990 edited volume on African
women writers, Aidoo responded to a question about whether she saw herself both
as a writer, a woman, and someone from the Third World, with: “I…find my
commitment as an African, the need for me to be an African nationalist, to be a
little more pressing. It seems that there are things relating to our world, as
African people, which are of a more throbbing nature in an immediate.” And in a
video described as
her “explosive interview on imperialism that went viral,” Ama exasperatedly
explains to the white interviewer the extractive and genocidal role of
Europeans in Africa:
“Since we met you people 500
years ago, look at us. We’ve given everything. You are still taking…It’s true.
I mean where will the whole Western world be without Africa? Our cocoa, our
timber, our gold, our diamonds, our platinum, etc.. Everything you have is
us….It’s a fact. And in return for all this, what have we got? Nothing.
Anti-personal indoctrination against ourselves. If you go and cook your
horrible diseases like AIDS, you say it is us. You brought us tuberculosis….In
exchange for Africa giving Europe - the western world - 500 solid years of our
people, our human beings, to work your cane [field], to dig your gold…in
exchange for that we get nothing. Nothing. And the white folk look upon us like
monkeys…”

demonize British Muslims.

One of the many lessons I have learned over the last three years of
forced enrollment in the COVIDcrisis University of Hard Knocks is that there
actually are people who function to target resistance and whistleblower groups
as black operations agents on behalf of the Government and other interested
parties. These people typically do not sulk around in trench coats wearing dark
glasses and ear pieces. They look just like you and me, appearing to be
reasonable people tending to their daily lives.
Yes, professional chaos agents and disruptors do exist. In my ignorant
naivety, I once allowed one of them into my own personal space. She had pushed
herself into the nascent American truckers protest movement, had infiltrated
Childrens Health Defense early on (advocating that people bring guns to
CHD-sponsored “medical freedom” rallies), and bragged about recruiting members
of the “Proud Boys” group to attend the Lincoln Memorial “Stop the Mandates”
rally. Just for the record, although this action enabled various corporate
media outlets to cast shade on the rally as a far right wing operation, I did
not personally see any at that rally who identified as “Proud Boys”, and
corporate media did not offer any photographic or other evidence, rather merely
their own unsupported assertions that this was the case. This same individual
also convinced a prominent physician often cited as a key leader in the
COVIDcrisis resistance to hire her to support his social media activities.

Desiccation is also used to improve profits, as farmers are penalized
when the grain contains moisture. The greater the moisture content of the grain
at sale, the lower the price they get.
While 50 countries have banned paraquat due to its extreme toxicity and
adverse effects on health (a single sip is lethal to a human1), the
chemical remains legal in the U.S., provided farmers receive training on its
application. Proper application doesn’t ensure its safety, however, as recent
lawsuits by thousands of farmers make clear.
Paraquat
Linked to Parkinson’s Disease
A considerable body of evidence2 links paraquat to
Parkinson’s disease and, as of mid-March 2023, 2,998 lawsuits filed by farmers
with Parkinson’s
disease had
been consolidated in Illinois federal court. The first bellwether trial is
scheduled to begin in October 2023.3
The farmers are suing Syngenta, the lead manufacturer, and Chevron, a
key distributor, arguing the herbicide caused their disease, and that the
manufacturer was aware of this risk and concealed it from the public.
The discovery process has unearthed a trove of documents4
showing Syngenta has indeed known that paraquat poses neurological risks and
feared the possibility of lawsuits for decades.
Most of the paraquat lawsuits are taking place in Illinois federal
court, but class actions have also been filed with state courts in California,
Florida, Pennsylvania, and Washington. The first state court trial is scheduled
to begin in September 2023 in California.5 As reported by the Miller
& Zois law firm, which is handling paraquat cases in all 50 U.S. states:6
“Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder of the
brain that affects primarily the motor system, the part of the central nervous
system that controls movement.
The characteristic symptoms of Parkinson’s disease are its ‘primary’
motor symptoms: resting tremor; bradykinesia (slowness in voluntary movement
and reflexes); rigidity; and postural instability. There is currently no cure
for Parkinson’s disease.
Existing treatments do not slow or stop their progression; such
treatments are capable only of temporarily and partially relieving motor
symptoms. These treatments also have unwelcome side effects the longer they are
used.
Paraquat is a toxic chemical that is a highly effective plant killer.
Unfortunately, the same properties that make paraquat toxic to plant cells also
make it highly damaging to human nerve cells and create a substantial risk to
anyone who uses it.
Oxidative stress is a major factor in — if not the precipitating cause
of — the degeneration and death of dopaminergic neurons which is the primary
pathophysiological cause of Parkinson’s disease.
Paraquat is designed to injure and kill plants by creating oxidative
stress, which causes or contributes to causing the degeneration and death of
plant cells. Similarly, Paraquat injures and kills animals by creating
oxidative stress, which causes the degeneration and death of animal cells.
The causal link between Paraquat and Parkinson’s disease is well
established. Hundreds of animal studies involving various routes of exposure
have found that paraquat creates oxidative stress that results in
pathophysiology consistent with that seen in human Parkinson’s disease.
Many epidemiological studies have also found an association between
Paraquat exposure and Parkinson’s disease, including multiple studies finding a
two- to five-fold or greater increase in the risk of Parkinson’s disease in
populations with occupational exposure to paraquat compared to populations
without such exposure.”
Attorneys working on these cases have also highlighted recent research7
linking paraquat exposure to end stage renal disease,8 so it’s
possible that the litigation effort against Syngenta might expand even further.
Syngenta
Obfuscated the Evidence
In a June 2, 2023, article9 in The Guardian, journalist and
author Carey Gillam reviews evidence from the paraquat lawsuits showing
Syngenta has known about the chemical’s risk to human health for decades, and
went out of its way to bury that evidence.
Some of the research10 out there suggests lifetime exposure
to paraquat raises your risk of Parkinson’s by as much as 250% (odds ratio
2.5), primarily through oxidative stress. In the 2020 book, “Ending Parkinson’s
Disease: A Prescription for Action,” four leading neurologists also cite
paraquat as a causative factor for the condition.11
Not surprisingly, Syngenta relied on the same strategies developed and
perfected by the tobacco industry in years past. While independent researchers
kept linking paraquat to Parkinson’s disease, Syngenta sowed doubt by
maintaining the evidence was “fragmentary” and “inconclusive,” even though it
wasn’t.
Indeed, internal documents obtained during the discovery process
reveals Syngenta knew that paraquat accumulated in the human brain and could
permanently impair the central nervous system.12,13,14 As reported
by Gillam:15
“Though it worked to publicize research that supported paraquat safety,
Syngenta kept quiet about a series of in-house animal experiments that analyzed
paraquat impacts in the brains of mice, according to company records and
deposition testimony.
Scientists who study Parkinson’s disease have established that symptoms
develop when dopamine-producing neurons in a specific area of the brain called
the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc) are lost or otherwise degenerate.
Without sufficient dopamine production, the brain is not capable of transmitting
signals between cells to control movement and balance.
The Syngenta scientist Louise Marks did a series of mouse studies
between 2003 and 2007 that confirmed the same type of brain impacts from
paraquat exposure that outside researchers had found. She concluded that
paraquat injections in the laboratory mice resulted in a ‘statistically
significant’ loss of dopamine levels in the substantia nigra pars compacta.”
Jeopardizing
Human Health for Profit
The company withheld these and other internal research results from
regulators and denounced the validity of independent science showing
neurological effects.
Worse, when Syngenta met with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) officials in 2013 to update the agency on its internal research, the
company claimed studies showed paraquat, even at high doses, did NOT reduce
dopamine-producing neurons, directly contradicting Marks’ findings.16
Similarly, in a follow-up presentation to the EPA in 2017,17
Syngenta claimed that paraquat had “no effect” in the brain and that a “causal
relationship between paraquat and Parkinson’s was not supported.”
During a recent deposition, Dana Dixon, lead for product safety
operations at Syngenta, was asked point blank if the information presented to
the EPA was a lie. Dixon claimed they were “not hiding” Marks’ results, but
rather chose to “focus on other studies” that refuted it.18
Syngenta
‘Swat Team’ Beat Down Negative Reports
At one point, Syngenta also worked behind the scenes to keep a highly
regarded scientist involved in the study of Parkinson’s off the EPA’s advisory
panel, and internal documents show company officials wanted to make sure the
effort could not be traced back to them.19
As reported by Gillam, Syngenta also had a special “swat team” tasked
with the immediate rebuttal of any new reports of adverse effects:20
“... files reveal an array of tactics, including enlisting a prominent
UK scientist and other outside researchers who authored scientific literature
that did not disclose any involvement with Syngenta ...
[M]isleading regulators about the existence of unfavorable research
conducted by its own scientists; and engaging lawyers to review and suggest
edits for scientific reports in ways that downplayed worrisome findings.
The files also show that Syngenta created what officials called a ‘Swat
team’ to be ready to respond to new independent scientific reports that could
interfere with Syngenta’s ‘freedom to sell’ paraquat.
The group, also referred to as ‘Paraquat Communications Management
Team,’ was to convene ‘immediately on notification’ of the publication of a new
study, ‘triage the situation’ and plan a response, including commissioning a
‘scientific critique.’
A key goal was to ‘create an international scientific consensus against
the hypothesis that paraquat is a risk factor for Parkinson’s disease,’ the
documents state.”
In internal company documents from 2003, Syngenta officials discussed
the need for a “coherent strategy across all disciplines focusing on external
influencing, that proactively diffuses the potential threats that we face,”
including influencing the future work by external researchers.
They also hired external scientists to write papers in support of
paraquat without disclosing their relationship with the company. Ghostwriting
scientific studies was also a tactic employed by Monsanto, to hide known
dangers associated with its Roundup herbicide.
Lawyers
Played Central Role in Obfuscation of Evidence
As detailed by Gillam, corporate defense lawyer Jeffrey Wolff also
appears to have played a central role in the obfuscation of evidence. He
instructed Syngenta scientists on how to take notes and manage communications
to ensure the company would be able to claim attorney-client privilege in the
case of litigation.
For example, action notes taken were to be labeled “Work Product
Doctrine Material Confidential” and carry an attorney-client privilege
statement.21 Wolff also had an active role in editing various
scientific statements, reports and presentations to hide or downplay negative
internal findings.
For example, a 2009 internal presentation by a company scientist on
paraquat and Parkinson’s disease was reviewed by Wolff, who objected to a
statement that said a majority of cases were related to environmental causes.
Instead, Wolff suggested the presentation state that the “great majority of PD
cases are idiopathic or of unknown cause.”
In another case, Wolff recommended removing the written admission that
paraquat caused loss of neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta from a
scientific slide show, and instead only mention it verbally during the
presentation. As reported by Gillam, the heavy involvement of lawyers is also
straight out of the tobacco industry’s dirty playbook:22
“The involvement of lawyers with the scientists at Syngenta appears
similar to highly criticized practices by the tobacco industry in the 1970s and
’80s that downplayed the dangers of smoking, said Thomas McGarity, former EPA
legal adviser and co-author of the 2008 book titled ‘Bending Science: How
Special Interests Corrupt Public Health Research.’
‘It looks like the paraquat maker has adopted nearly every strategy we
outlined in our book about bending science,’ McGarity said. ‘Science matters. We
have to be able to depend on science,’ he said.
‘When it is perverted, when it is manipulated, then we get bad results.
And one result is that pesticides that cause terrible things like Parkinson’s
remain on the market.’”
Lectins in
Food Shuttle Paraquat Into the Brain
Disturbingly, animal research shows paraquat becomes exponentially more
hazardous in combination with plant lectins. The cruel irony here is that
paraquat is widely used as an herbicide and desiccant on lectin-rich crops in
particular, including wheat, soybeans, potatoes, cereal grains and beans.
Plant lectins help shuttle paraquat into your brain, where it induces
the neuronal degeneration seen in Parkinson’s disease.
According to the study23 in question, published in the
journal NPJ Parkinson's Disease in 2018, plant lectins help shuttle paraquat
into your brain, where it does the most damage. As reported by the authors:
“Increasing evidence suggests that environmental neurotoxicants or
misfolded α-synuclein generated by such neurotoxicants are transported
from the gastrointestinal tract to the central nervous system via the vagus
nerve, triggering degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra
pars compacta (SNpc) and causing Parkinson’s disease (PD).
We tested the hypothesis that gastric co-administration of subthreshold
doses of lectins and paraquat can recreate the pathology and behavioral
manifestations of PD in rats ...
These data demonstrate that co-administration of subthreshold doses of
paraquat and lectin induces progressive, L-dopa-responsive parkinsonism that is
preceded by gastric dysmotility. This novel preclinical model of
environmentally triggered PD provides functional support for Braak’s staging
hypothesis of idiopathic PD.”
Here again, we see the central role of the substantia nigra pars
compacta, the very area of the brain that Syngenta scientist Marks found to be
adversely impacted by paraquat. What’s more, the combination of paraquat and
lectins could well be the underlying mechanism behind “idiopathic” Parkinson’s,
which Wolff wanted listed as the primary “cause.”
Paraquat in
Food Supply Puts Your Health at Risk
This also means that farmers aren’t the only ones at risk. Direct
exposure is only one way by which paraquat can cause harm. Ingestion through
food is the other, and oftentimes, that food is also high in lectins, which
multiplies the danger. Reporting on the 2018 findings, Medical News Today
wrote:24
"[P]araquat, once in the stomach, causes alpha-synuclein to be
misfolded and then helps it travel to the brain. Scientists believe that
alpha-synuclein runs along the vagus nerve, which itself runs between the
stomach and the brain.
In fact, recent studies have shown that the vagus nerve has a direct
connection with the substantia nigra, making it a prime suspect in Parkinson's
disease. This direct link also helps explain why digestive problems often
precede the motor symptoms of Parkinson's by several years.
To investigate, the researchers fed rats small doses of paraquat for 7
days. They also fed them lectins … As expected, they identified
Parkinson's-related changes … As study co-author Prof. Thyagarajan Subramanian
explains:
'We were able to demonstrate that if you have oral paraquat exposure,
even at very low levels, and you also consume lectins ... then it could
potentially trigger the formation of this protein — alpha-synuclein — in the
gut. Once it's formed, it can travel up the vagus nerve and to the part of the
brain that triggers the onset of Parkinson's disease.'
This series of experiments demonstrates how the interplay between two
ingested compounds can conspire to create and then transport toxic protein
structures from the gut to the brain."
Take-Home
Message
The take-home message here is that foods treated with paraquat may be
just as hazardous as direct exposure on a farm. Paraquat is considered one of
the "best" drying options for legumes in particular, which are also
particularly high in lectins.
As a result, many foods that vegetarians and vegans rely on may pose
significant health hazards — and in more ways than one, as lectins are also
problematic in and of themselves. In February 2022, I posted an interview with
Dr. Steven Gundry, author of "The Plant
Paradox,"
in which we reviewed the health hazards of lectins.
As explained by Gundry, plant lectins can wreak havoc on your health by
attaching to your cell membranes, causing inflammation, damage to your nerves
and cell death. Some can also interfere with gene expression and disrupt
endocrine function.
So, while lectins can cause severe health problems in and of
themselves, by spraying paraquat on lectin-rich crops, those crops are made
exponentially more hazardous, as the lectins act as transport vehicles for the toxic
herbicide.
You can reduce lectin concentration by pressure cooking, for example,
but if you're starting out with contaminated food, you're dealing with
extra-toxic kinds of lectins. To avoid or at least minimize these hazards, it's
important to buy organic beans, peas, potatoes and other high-lectin foods from
a reputable source, ideally a local farmer you can trust.
The other take-home message from all this is that chemical companies
are among the least trustworthy sources out there. Like Monsanto before them,
Syngenta officials have spent decades hiding the dangers of paraquat, while
untold numbers of people got sick, suffered and died.
As noted by Bruce Blumberg, professor of developmental and cell biology
at the University of California, Irvine, in response to the revelations about
Syngenta’s obfuscation of evidence:25
“It is highly unethical for a company not to reveal data they have that
could indicate that their product is more toxic than had been believed. [These
companies are] trying to maximize profits and they jeopardize public health,
and it shouldn’t be allowed. That is the scandal.”

Tales From the (Jet-lagged) Underground

Those who have seen Carol Reed's classic 1949 film, The Third Man, will doubtless remember the scene where the film's protagonist, Holly
Martins (played by Joseph Cotten), encounters the film's antagonist, Harry Lime
(played by Orson Welles), on the Wiener Riesenrad. During the scene, Martins
and Lime discuss Lime's diabolical business scheme: stealing penicillin from
post-war Vienna's military hospitals, diluting it and selling it on the black
market, leading to the death of countless infants.
In one of the film's most iconic
moments, Lime opens the door of the
Ferris wheel car as it approaches the top and invites Martins to look down at
all the people scurrying around on the streets below.
"Look down there," Lime commands Martins. "Would you
really feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever? If I offered
you £20,000 for every dot that stopped, would you really, old man, tell me to keep my money? Or would you
calculate how many dots you could afford to spare? . . . Free of income tax,
old man. Free of income tax! It's the only way to save money nowadays."
From Lime's perspective, the people down below are mere "dots"
to be manipulated, maimed or even killed in the pursuit of wealth. The deaths
of those poor souls he looks down on produce no pang of conscience. He assumes
Martins (and, by extension, the audience) will see things the same way.
Sadly, this line of thought, as blood-curdling as it is, is perfectly
familiar to those who have studied the mindset of the elitist eugenicists,
whose vast fortunes are made at the expense of us little "dots." The
scene on the Ferris wheel perfectly encapsulates the calculus that goes into
the Rothschilds' monetary manipulations and the
Rockefeller-sponsored "Green" Revolution and the
Gates-led Gene Revolution and all the other schemes
by which the Powers That Shouldn't Be make money and increase their might by
crippling or killing those of us down below. The only thing missing from this
incisive study of the operation of power in our society is the recognition that
the Gateses and the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds and their ilk are, unlike
the criminal fugitive Harry Lime, actually admired by the largely ignorant masses, lauded for their
"philanthropy" and their business acumen even as they commit
atrocities against humanity.

“COVID Propaganda Roundup:
Pfizer Knew mRNA Shots Sicken Infants in April 2021”

Per internal Pfizer documents forced into the public domain by court
decree, we know now that the company knew way back in April 2021 of the risks
its mRNA gene therapy posed to infants.
Via Pregnancy and Lactation Cumulative Review:
“[Pfizer’s] safety database was searched for all BNT162b2 vaccine cases
reporting any exposure to vaccine during pregnancy (mother and/or baby) or
exposure to baby via lactation from all time through 28 February 2021. A search
of the Pfizer safety database identified 673 case reports. …
Of the 673 case reports identified in the search, 458 involved BNT162b2
exposure during pregnancy (mother/fetus) and 215 involved exposure
during breast-feeding…
In 174 of the 215 reports, there was no AE reported other than ‘Exposure
via breast milk/maternal exposure during breast feeding’. In the remaining
41 cases, AEs were reported in the infants following BNT162b2 exposure via
lactation.”
Doing some quick math, this means that Pfizer documented adverse effects
in no less than 19% of the babies – almost 1 in 5 — that it observed to be
exposed to the spike proteins produced by their mRNA shot.
None of these findings, of course, were voluntarily disclosed by Pfizer,
the Public Health™ authorities, or the corporate state media that the
biomedical state effectively owns.
To this very day, as a matter of fact, the CDC recommends that all pregnant women get shot up, as does the legacy media.

Hot on the heels of the
Covid Emergency being declared
over,
The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) issued a call for
eternal vigilance against future viral invasions forecasting that “future
outbreaks of ‘Disease-X’ are inevitable.”
Echoing this Cassandra-esque pronouncement WHO director-general Dr.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, at the recent 76th World Health Assembly, warned of lurking
pathogens “even deadlier” than Covid-19.
Amidst this latest flurry of fatalistic prognostications it’s worth
asking a few questions: Who is CEPI and what is
this amorphous ‘Disease-X’?
Who is CEPI?
Advertising itself as, “an innovative global partnership working to
accelerate the development of vaccines against epidemic and pandemic threats”,
CEPI developed its original business plan in November of 2016 and was formally
launched at the 2017 World Economic Forum in Davos by a consortium that
included the governments of Norway, Japan, and Germany, The Wellcome Trust, and the Gates Foundation.
Early on CEPI alluded
to Disease X noting that Covid-19 was its first such candidate:
“When CEPI was established in 2017 we classed Disease X as a serious risk
to global health security, for which the world needed to prepare. Prior to the
COVID-19 pandemic, CEPI had initiated a rapid response programme—including mRNA
vaccines—against novel pathogens. [Bold added] Our goal was to be able to start
safety testing of vaccines within months of a new pathogen being genetically
sequenced.”
CEPI’s role of bringing together players in biotechnology, Big Pharma,
governmental agencies, and University Research and Development departments is
paired with a focus on global immunization as it works “to accelerate
the development of vaccines against emerging infectious
diseases.”
Another of CEPI’s stated goals is, “to be able to start safety testing within months of a new pathogen
being genetically sequenced” employing innovative “vaccine platform technologies” so that
we can rapidly manufacture vaccines against many different types of disease.”
These slippery ambitions require a potential foe to vaccinate against-
enter ‘Disease X’.
In February of 2021 Senior Communications and Advocacy Manager for CEPI
Tom Mooney said that preparing for the next “Disease X” will require that, “we can produce vaccines against Disease X in a
matter of months instead of a year or more, we could revolutionize the world’s
ability to respond to epidemic and pandemic diseases.”
Not to be left behind on the fear-mongering bandwagon Mooney added,
“Disease X and other emerging infectious diseases pose an existential threat to
humanity. But for the first time in history, with the right level of financial
commitment and political will, [emphasis added] we could credibly aim to
eliminate the risk of epidemics and pandemics.”
