This
1963 American science fiction comedy film directed, co-written (with Bill
Richmond) by, and starring Jerry Lewis is a parody of Robert Louis Stevenson's
1886 novella Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It is the story of a
bullied scientist, Julius Kelp, who creates a serum that transforms him into a
handsome man, which he subsequently uses under his alter ego Buddy Love.
The
Nutty Professor has been described as perhaps the finest and most memorable
film of Lewis's career. In 2004, The Nutty Professor was selected for
preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of
Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically
significant".

Subject: Illusions and Realities: Ruling-class wars of national defense and imperial expansion in a context of
international class struggle - Who pays? Who profits?
Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,
To borrow from Thomas Paine, at the time of the
American War of Independence, “These are the times that try men’s souls.” (We
should add the caveat “women’s souls … and those of children, as well!)
The Israeli state’s systematic massacre of
Palestinian men, women, and children by the thousands, aided by criminal
accomplices and cowardly allies, is nothing less than a death toll for civilization as we have known it. The same can
be said for the repressive tolerance of the premeditated killings, according to
many sources, during the Plandemic
by the coercive policy of distributing the highly toxic mRNA so-called
“vaccines,” and the ritual sacrifice of young men by the hundreds of thousands, who
were sent to their certain death in Ukraine fighting a very lucrative proxy war
of expansion by ruling class interests in the US and NATO against the Russia Federation.
Without the benefit of a class analysis to answer the
central question, “Who profits?”, we are left in a
state of confusion, spiraling into a stasis of morbidity: “Nothing is to be
done!”
Is it any wonder that individual longevity has become a
fashionable topic of research for the cultural elitist? The ruling class has
become keenly interested in extending their lives in a world now reeling in
depopulation programs. The rest of us, like beef in a stockyard, are expected
to await our turn to enter the slaughterhouse compliantly. Such docility is engineered in a
variety of ways, including facilitating “irrelevant activism”, so that the last
moments of our lives can be absorbed totally by one or another “false cause”,
with little or no meaning. We are stuck with the old individualist conundrum: “Alles ist relativ”,
and with this perspective we remain inert.
In the wake of the imperial collapse of “liberal democracy”, what follows? One historical analogy suggests the Dark Ages, and not a Renaissance. "Tribalism" and "Identity Politics" are on the agenda, fanned by demagogues of all stripes. The emotional thermostat is tuned up within the general population by False Flag operations and other PsyOps, which receive obedient support from professional personnel holding key positions of influence in strategic institutions, not the least of which is the US Congress, the Corporate Media, and various state legislatures, as well as other corporate capitalist operations linked to the Military-Industrial-Medica-Media Complex. A cultural hegemony has been contructed like a spider web to serve the interests of corporate predators, and against the best interests of society.
The 26+ items below reflect
the current state of confusion which has all but paralyzed any resistance to
this careless debacle. The victims have been systematically disarmed – both materially and ideologically. They are unable to defend
themselves and are soon to join the prey of self-destructive manipulations by the
forces of corporate capitalism.
The center cannot hold . . . .
Sincerely,
Francis McCollum Feeley

Video: Dangerous Crossroads. False Flag Leading to More False Flags? Towards
an Extended Middle East War? Netanyahu is An Anti-Semite- An Interview
with Michel Chossudovsky
with Prof Michel Chossudovsky
and Caroline Mailloux
At the time of writing (November 3, 2023) Israel’s genocidal
bombing of Palestinians in Gaza has resulted in 9,227
deaths. Victims include 3,826
children and 2,405 women. In the words of Canadian journalist Andrew Mitrovica,
“This is
not an onslaught. It is not an invasion. It is not even a war. It is a
genocide.” …The monstrous plan is as plain as Netanyahu’s wretched
character: Be done with Gaza by erasing Gaza.”
It’s a criminal undertaking based on Israel’s 2001
doctrine of Justified Vengeance confirmed by a Secret
Intelligence Memorandum (October 13, 2023) which was leaked and
made public. An official “secret” memorandum
authored by Israel’s Ministry of Intelligence:
.
“is recommending
the forcible and permanent transfer of the Gaza Strip’s 2.2 million Palestinian
residents to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula”, namely to a refugee camp in
Egyptian territory.
“Secret” bilateral negotiations are on record
between Israel-Egypt (initiated in 2021-22) as well as
routine consultations with the Pentagon. The “Wiping Gaza of the
Map” is actively supported by the US-NATO Military and Intelligence
Apparatus.

“Full-Dress
Irrationality”

Whenever Joe Biden speaks, you have
to make sure your bullshit detector is switched on, to borrow Hemingway’s
pungent phrase. As is well-documented, our president has spent his public life
making it up as he goes along. No surprise, there was a lot of boilerplate junk
in the two much-noted speeches Biden gave last week, one
in Tel Aviv after attending a session of Israel’s war cabinet, the
other when he dropped it on the American public that they were
about to spend a lot more money financing Israeli violence, war in Ukraine and
provocation across the Taiwan Strait.
We had better listen carefully this
time. Biden has sold a lot of snake oil off the back of his buckwagon
over the past half-century. What he has on offer now is too consequential
simply to dismiss. Biden is diabolically leveraging the obvious urgency of the
Israel–Palestine crisis to lock us into confrontation with most of the world—or
at the very least a great deal of it. Late-imperium
America would darken the 21st century but for the lights others,
primarily in the non–West, insist upon to illuminate our way forward from the
mess U.S. hegemony has made.
After
addressing Americans from the Oval Office last Friday, Biden went to Congress
with a request for new aid for Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan,
with assorted odds and ends bringing the total spend to $105 billion. Here are
the passages in Biden’s address that, amid perilous crises in West Asia and
across both oceans, we ought to scrutinize carefully, the deceptively
simplistic phrasing notwithstanding:
“American
leadership is what holds the world together. American alliances are what keep
us, America, safe. American values are what make us a partner that other
nations want to work with. To put all that at risk if we walk away from
Ukraine, if we turn our backs on Israel, it’s not worth it.
That’s
why, tomorrow, I am going to send to Congress an urgent budget request to fund
America’s national security needs, to support our critical partners…
It’s a
smart investment that’s going to pay dividends for American security for
generations, help us keep American troops out of harm’s way, help us build a
world that is safer, more peaceful, and more prosperous for our children and
grandchildren.”
American
leadership, everyone wants to be our friend, national security at risk, our
children and their children: Biden’s speech reads like a nostalgia piece when
you think of how long America’s purported leaders have traded in this stuff.
The Tel Aviv speech gives the same impression: Israel is a democracy defending
freedom and human rights, etc. We have heard all this for decades,
O.K. Ukraine is also a democracy defending freedom: It is new to the
repertoire, but we hear this fable incessantly, too.
It is one
thing to recognize how hollow the familiar rhetoric coming out of Washington is
and has long been. It is another thing altogether to realize, as we must, that
it is different this time—or is as it was, say, when the U.S. escalated in
Vietnam. This is the Biden regime’s cover story as it tips us into full-dress
irrationality.

Gaza
Strikes Back. It’s Another 9/11 or Pearl Harbor but Who Actually Did What to
Whom? “This Was More Likely a False Flag Operation”
https://www.globalresearch.ca/gaza-strikes-back-another-911-pearl-harbor/5836435
by Philip Giraldi
It’s amazing how America’s thought-controlled media is able
to come up with a suitable narrative almost immediately whenever there is an
international incident that might be subject to multiple interpretations.
Since 1948 Israel has expelled hundreds of thousands of
Palestinians from their homes,
has
occupied nearly all of the historic Palestine, has empowered its army to kill
thousands of local people, and has more recently established an apartheid
regime that even denies that Palestinian Arabs are human in the same sense that
Jews are.
Netanyahu-allied government minister Ayelet
Shaked memorably has called for Israel not only to exterminate all Palestinian children, whom she has described as “little snakes,” but also to
kill their mothers who gave birth to them.
But when the Arabs strike back against the hatred that confronts
them with their limited resources it is Israel that is described as the
victim and the Palestinians who are dehumanized and portrayed as the
“terrorists.”
Media in the US and Europe were
quick to label the Hamas offensive breaching the formidable Israeli border
defenses as “Israel’s 9/11” or even “Israel’s Pearl Harbor” to establish the context that the Israelis have been on the receiving
end of an “unprovoked” attack by a cruel and heartless enemy.
Israel has responded to the attack with a heavy bombardment of Gaza
that has destroyed infrastructure, including hospitals and schools, while also
cutting off food supplies, water and electricity.
It has
demanded that residents of north Gaza, all 1.1 million of them, evacuate to
make way for a possible ground offensive but there is nowhere to go as all the
borders are closed, and the United Nations is calling it a demand with
“devastating humanitarian consequences.” Journalist Peter Beinart
has commented “This is
a monstrous crime. It’s happening in plain view, with US support.”
And the
United States government is indeed typically on the same page as Israel. President
Joe Biden, citing fabricated stories about dead Jewish babies, speaks
of how Israel has a “duty” to defend itself, while the Palestinians somehow
have no right to protect themselves at all, much less to rise up against
their persecutors in a struggle for freedom.
And Washington has also
unhesitatingly chosen to directly involve itself in the conflict, completely on
the side of the Jewish state, asserting repeatedly that “Israel has a right to
defend itself” and telling the Israelis that “we
have your back” while also dispatching two aircraft carrier groups to the scene
of the fighting as well as the 101st Airborne to Jordan and
increasing the readiness of Marines stationed in Kuwait.
The
White House could have taken more aggressive steps to encourage a ceasefire and
talks but has chosen instead to issue essentially toothless calls to let
the trapped civilians escape while also backing a devastating
Israeli military response.

Files Expose Syrian 'Revolution'
as Western Regime Change Operation
by Kit Klarenberg
Throughout August and September,
anti-government protests have rocked Syrian cities. While the crowds are
typically small, numbering only a few hundred, they show little sign of
abating. Demonstrators are motivated by increasingly unlivable economic
conditions spurred by crippling U.S.-led international sanctions against
Damascus. These have produced hyperinflation, mass food insecurity, and many
daily hardships for the population. They also prevent vital humanitarian aid from
entering the country.
The media
has given the unrest blanket coverage. No reference to Washington’s central
role in imposing the misery under which average Syrians suffer today, let alone
that several key figures in the protests are former opposition fighters who
laid down their arms under a government-approved reconciliation
deal in 2018, can be found in the
reporting.
By
contrast, mainstream news outlets appear positively
exuberant at the prospect of a new Syrian
‘revolution’ erupting, and many comparisons have been drawn to the protests in
March 2011 that turned into an all-out war by the year’s end. In the process,
the long-standing, indomitably established narrative that those demonstrations
were initially peaceful and only turned violent after many months in response
to brutal repression by authorities has been endlessly reiterated.
This is
despite the reality of what happened during that fateful time being spelled out
in the Syrian government’s own internal documents. Namely, records of the
Central Crisis Management Cell, created in March 2011 by Damascus to manage
responses to the rioting that began a few weeks earlier.
While
mainstream outlets have previously
reported on this trove, dubbing them “The
Assad Files,” they have universally misrepresented, distorted or simply
falsified the contents to wrongfully convict Syrian officials of horrific
crimes. In some instances, quite literally. The documents
show that Assad and his ministers struggled valiantly to prevent the upheaval
from escalating into violence on either side, protect demonstrators, and keep
the situation under control.
Meanwhile,
sinister, unseen forces systematically murdered security service officials,
pro-government figures, and protesters to foment catastrophe in a manner
similar to many CIA regime change operations old and new. This shocking story
has never before been told. Now, with dark insurrectionary clouds again
pullulating over Damascus, it must be.

The Douma
Gas Attack: What's the Evidence It was a False Flag?
https://www.counterpunch.org/2019/06/21/the-douma-gas-attack-whats-the-evidence-it-was-a-false-flag/
by Louis Proyect
On April 7, 2018, a chlorine
chemical attack reportedly left 43 people dead in Douma,
a city of over 100,000 people in the Ghouta region to
the east of Damascus. I use the word reportedly since Assad and Putin both
denied a day later that anybody had died.
Propaganda
networks for the two leaders called the grizzly video evidence for such an
attack as a carefully staged performance akin to how some conspiracy theorists
describe the Apollo moon landing. Among the outlets arguing for a “false flag”
incident was One America News Network, an ardently pro-Trump cable news station
that was granted a permanent seat in the White House’s news briefing room and
whose White House Correspondent, Trey Yingst, was one
of the top five most called upon reporters covering the Trump Administration.
Not to be outdone, Fox News’s Tucker Carlson opined: “All the geniuses tell us
that Assad killed those children, but do they really know that? Of course they
don’t really know that. They’re making it up. They have no real idea what happened.”
Was this
false flag supposed to provoke a “humanitarian intervention”? Consider what
happened after Khan Shaykhoun was subjected to a sarin gas attack just about a year earlier. Donald Trump
ordered the navy to fire Cruise missiles at Shayrat
air force base in Syria but only after alerting the Russians about the
impending attack. The runway was not damaged—something that was never even part
of the plans—and jets and helicopters took off a few hours afterward. According
to Wikipedia, even the Russian defense ministry said that the “combat
effectiveness” of the attack was “extremely low” and that only 23 missiles out
of 59 fired hit the base, destroying six aircraft. It did not know where the
other 36 landed. Russian television news, citing a Syrian source at the
airfield, said that nine planes were destroyed by the strike but that they were
inoperative at the time.
This time
Trump’s slap on the wrist over the Douma attack was
even softer. In bombing 3 office buildings in Damascus on April 13, 2018, he
was, according to the NY Times, not intending “to topple Mr. Assad, damage the
Russian and Iranian allies that support his troops, or protect civilians from
violence. In fact, they were meticulously planned and executed to avoid
altering the overall dynamics of the conflict and keep the United States from
getting dragged further in.” In July 2017, Trump had cut off aid to Syrian
rebels entirely. He also ordered a freeze on funding to the White Helmets, the
first responder group that Vanessa Beeley and Max
Blumenthal regard as part of a Salafist terror
network. So, any concerns about a false flag incident triggering a major regime
change operation in Syria could only be raised by people who are not persuaded
by facts or logic.
On March
1, 2019, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) issued
a report that concluded that a chlorine gas attack did take place but, as is
customary in its investigations, did not place blame. Since it found evidence
that two weaponized chlorine tanks penetrated a
building from above, one might surmise that the regime was to blame, especially
since it had been using chlorine bombs repeatedly in the past two years.
Likely, the goal was not to kill people but to terrorize them. Chlorine gas can
make you very sick in open spaces but generally will not kill you. It was the
misfortune of the 43 people in a Douma tenement to be
on the lower floors on April 7, 2018. They were trying to avoid conventional
bombs, not a gas attack. When one of the tanks was detonated in a rooftop
terrace, the chlorine gas seeped to the lower floors with a devastating effect.
(Unlike most gases, chlorine is heavier than air and travels downward.)
The OPCW
report went by without much attention since it did not lead to the kind of
empty saber-rattling in Washington that typified sarin
gas attacks in East Ghouta in 2013 or Khan Shaykhoun in 2017. Most people, either for or against
Assad, had come to the realization by now that the war was over and that the
likelihood of regime change could only be entertained by those people for whom
time stands still.
One might
certainly describe British academic Tim Hayward of falling into that category
since he was largely responsible for a new wave of hysteria over a leaked
report that supposedly proved that the Douma was a
false flag. Unlike Assad and Putin’s claim that nobody died that day, this time
there was an acknowledgement that 43 people died but only because Salafists placed the chlorine tanks in the building with
the intention of giving Donald Trump the excuse he needed to bomb Syria.
Suffice it to say, Trump had other things on his mind at this point.
Hayward
had been sent a leaked OPCW Engineering Assessment document written by one Ian Henderson, which in Hayward’s words made the
case that:
1. The
conclusion of the Engineering Assessment is unequivocal: the “alternative
hypothesis” that the cylinders were placed in position is “the only plausible
explanation for observations at the scene”.
2. These
findings establish beyond reasonable doubt that the alleged chemical attack in Douma on 7 April 2018 was staged.
Henderson’s
findings boiled down to the impossibility of chlorine gas tanks making the
holes in the roof seen in OPCW photos and by contrast the possibility of one of
the tanks ending up on a bed (that tank did not detonate.) In a reply to
Henderson’s findings, the OPCW stated:
“With
regard to the ballistics data collected by the FFM [fact-finding mission], they
were analysed by three external experts commissioned
by the FFM, and working independently from one another. In the end, while using
different methods and instruments, they all reached the same conclusions that
can be found in the FFM final report.”
Naturally,
people like Hayward, Beeley and Blumenthal would
characterize this as just another thread in the conspiratorial web that has
plotted to replace Assad with a Saudi proxy since 2011—notwithstanding the Saudi rapprochement with Syria that is now underway.

There have been many US military

not some kooky blogger’s opinion. It is an extensively
documented and indisputable fact.
Nothing
has ever been done to address this extensively documented and indisputable
fact. No laws were ever changed. No war crimes tribunals were ever held. No
policies or procedures were ever revised. No one was ever even fired. No
changes were implemented to prevent the Iraq deception from happening again, and, when it happened again, no changes were

Mounting evidence suggests Israel
may be ready to ‘cleanse’
by Jonathan Cook
All the signs are in place that Israel is once again
seriously considering a massive ethnic cleansing operation, conducted at
lightning speed and with US assistance
As Israeli forces
began making limited ground incursions into northern Gaza over the
weekend, reports proliferated that Israel was readying plans to expel much or
all of the enclave’s population into the neighbouring
Egyptian territory of Sinai.
In part,
those fears were fuelled by a report last week, published in the Israeli outlet
Calcalist, of a leaked policy draft from the intelligence ministry outlining just such an ethnic cleansing
plan for Gaza.
Further
concerns were raised by a report in the Financial
Times on Monday that Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, had lobbied
the European Union on the idea of driving the strip’s Palestinians into
Sinai under cover of war.
Some EU
members, including the Czech Republic and Austria, were
said to have been receptive and floated the idea at a meeting of member states
last week. An unnamed European diplomat told the FT: “Now is the time to put increased pressure on the Egyptians to
agree.”
According
to the leaked Israeli intelligence ministry document, after their
expulsion, Gaza’s 2.3 million Palestinians would
initially be housed in tent cities, before permanent communities could be built
in the peninsula’s north.
A military
“sterile zone”, several kilometres wide, would
prevent any return to Gaza. Longer term, Israel would encourage other states –
especially Canada, European countries such as Greece and Spain, and North
African countries – to absorb the Palestinian population in Sinai.
The
ministry reportedly believes the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza into Sinai
would be “liable to provide positive and long-lasting strategic results”.
For
Palestinians, on the other hand, it has traumatic echoes of Israel’s mass
expulsion of Palestinians from their homeland at Israel’s creation in 1948 –
what Palestinians call their Nakba, or Catastrophe.

“Israel Is Left Only to Gaslight
the Public”
https://consortiumnews.com/2023/10/31/caitlin-johnstone-israel-is-left-only-to-gaslight-the-public/
by Caitlin Johnstone
Israel works so hard to distort your
perception of reality because a lucid perception of reality is highly
unfavorable to Israeli information interests.
The Atlantic has a new
Israel apologia article out titled “The
Decolonization Narrative Is Dangerous and False” — a noticeable change in tone from the outlet’s “Decolonize
Russia” sentiments of last year.
The entire
article has been picked apart paragraph by paragraph by a commentator named Sana Saeed, but
for my purposes here I’d just like to focus on one specific sentence in it
about Israel’s ongoing massacre in Gaza:
“The
Israeli goal in Gaza — for practical reasons, among others —is to minimize the
number of Palestinian civilians killed.”
If you
didn’t know that The Atlantic’s
editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg is a former IDF prison guard who in 2002 said that
“the coming invasion of Iraq will be remembered as an act of profound
morality,” it would astonish you that such a sentence ever went to print.
One need
only look at the before and after satellite images of the bombing campaign in Gaza to see immediately that Israel is
doing nothing at all to minimize the number of civilians killed.
One need
only look at the fact that nearly 70 percent of the people killed in
these airstrikes have been women and children to see immediately that Israel is
doing nothing to minimize the number of civilians killed.
One need
only listen to Israeli officials themselves saying “the emphasis is on damage and not on accuracy” and “Gaza will eventually turn into a city of tents;
there will be no buildings” to see immediately that Israel
is doing nothing to minimize the number of civilians killed.
You don’t
get to openly declare that you’re going to do a ton of damage with no regard
for accuracy, carpet bomb entire neighborhoods into gravel killing mostly women
and children, and then say you’re trying to minimize civilian casualties.
That’s not a thing.
But that’s
exactly what The Atlantic
instructs us to believe. They demand that we ignore what’s right in front of
our faces and mistrust what we are seeing with our own eyes.

“Exterminate all the Brutes”
A Bird in the Hand – by Mr. Fish
https://informationclearinghouse.blog/2023/11/01/exterminate-all-the-brutes/comment-page-1/#comments
by Chris Hedges
During the siege in Sarajevo, when I
was reporting for The New York Times, we never endured the level of saturation
bombing and near total blockage of food, water, fuel and medicine that Israel
has imposed on Gaza. We never endured hundreds of dead and wounded a day.
We never
endured the complicity of the international community in the Serbian campaign
of genocide. We never endured Washington intervening to block ceasefire
resolutions. We never endured massive arms shipments from the U.S. and other
Western countries to sustain the siege. We never endured press reports from
Sarajevo that were routinely discredited and dismissed by the international
community, although 25 journalists were killed in the
war by the besieging Serbian forces. We never endured Western governments
justifying the siege as the right of the Serbs to defend themselves, although
the U.N. peacekeepers sent to Bosnia were largely a public relations gesture,
ineffective in halting the slaughter until forced to respond following the massacres of 8,000 Bosniak men and boys at Srebrenica.
I don’t
mean to minimize the horror of the siege of Sarajevo, which gives me nightmares
nearly three decades later. But what we suffered – three to four hundred shells
a day, four to five dead a day, and two dozen wounded a day – is a tiny
fraction of the wholesale death and destruction in Gaza. The Israeli siege of
Gaza more resembles the Wehrmacht’s assault on
Stalingrad, where over 90 percent of the city’s buildings were destroyed, than
Sarajevo.

Canada used scientists to cover up
US’ Korean War biological weapons usage
by Jeffrey S. Kaye
An examination of declassified
documents shows that the Canadian government discussed at high military levels
“probable” U.S. plans to launch a biological warfare (BW) campaign in 1952,
presumably on the Korean peninsula. The documents also reveal that Canada’s
government would soon approach and assist three Canadian scientists in writing
a public statement condemning those who affirmed Communist allegations of U.S.
“germ warfare” in Korea and China.
Since
1947, Canada had been part of a secret three-way, or tripartite, agreement with
the United States and the United Kingdom, coordinating research and development
of both offensive and defensive capabilities in the use of bacteriological and
other toxic agents.
While a
“probable” biological warfare campaign plan was being developed, the Korean War
was the only “hot” conflict underway involving the United States, having begun in
1950. Canada had joined with the U.S. and thirteen other nations under the
auspices of an ad hoc UN organization known as UN Command to fight the Korean
People’s Army and their Chinese allies.
In
February 1952, both the Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the
Peoples’ Republic of China (PRC) publicly alleged that U.S. planes were involved in
hundreds of sorties, which dropped various kinds of bacteriological or “germ”
munitions on military and civilian targets. In particular, they accused UN
forces of using insect vectors to spread disease, utilizing in part methods and
personnel from Imperial Japan’s World War II biological warfare program.
The
charges of the use of such “germ” weapons were corroborated decades later by the CIA’s
declassification in 2010 of highly secret U.S. communications intelligence
reports documenting some of the biowarfare attacks.

And
darkness was upon the face of the deep. Upon the face of the abyss of the
massacre in the south, darkness is taking hold of Israel. Now it is still a
gathering of clouds, but it may turn to darkness: Israel is going mad. The left
is “wising up,” the right is growing more extreme, and McCarthyism and fascism reign.
Wartime is
always a time of silencing, uniformity of opinion, racism, incitement and
hatred; absolute enlistment in service of propaganda, the end of tolerance and
the persecution of anyone who dares step out of line. The atrocities perpetrated
by Hamas in the south brought all of these
manifestations to extreme levels, as if the atrocities justify the loss of all
restraint.
The
emotional turmoil is of course understandable, but not the totalitarianism that
has followed in its wake. If it is not stopped, the danger posed to democracy
will be a thousand times that posed by the government coup, which made the
whole system here go haywire.

Palestine: Apartheid, Stolen Lives

by Felicity Arbuthnot
Building solidarity requires confronting the
crimes committed by the State of Israel from the very outset in 1948. This
is the object of Felicity Arbuthnot’s article first published in
2017. According to Arbuthnot (in 2017):
This “Nakba”
(“catastrophe”) seventy years after Israel’s final founding, is ongoing
“Nakba is
ongoing” in October 2023,
and the United Nations remains “Deaf Mute”.
UN Secretary General’s Antonio Guterres’ Double Speak
None of
these issues have been raised by the U.N. Secretary-General (UNSG) Antonio
Guterres in his remarks to the U.N. Security
Council on October 24:
“The
situation in the Middle East is growing more dire by
the hour.
The war in
Gaza is raging and risks spiralling throughout the
region.
Divisions
are splintering societies. Tensions threaten to boil over.
At a
crucial moment like this, it is vital to be clear on principles — starting with
the fundamental principle of respecting and protecting civilians.”
But the grievances of the
Palestinian people cannot justify the appalling attacks by Hamas. And those appalling attacks cannot justify the collective punishment
of the Palestinian people.” (emphasis added)
As
outlined by the Centre for Research on Globalization:
Guterres’s disapproval of Israel is lenient.
He does not condemn Tel Aviv for the massive killings of Palestinian civilians
(in the carpet bombing of Gaza) which so far have resulted in more than
6,500 Palestinian deaths, nor does he raise (in his
initial remarks) the issue of a “cease fire”:

Pro-Censorship EU Chief Tells TikTok To “Spare No Effort” in
Censoring “Disinformation”
by Christina Maas
Monday saw the European Union take a
firm stance towards the dissemination of alleged “disinformation” on TikTok, with one senior official taking to the media to
make a pointed demand. Thierry Breton, member of the European
Commission, specifically ordered Kevin Mayer, TikTok’s
new Chief Executive Officer, to “spare no effort” in combating misleading
content. The statement opens up an important conversation about larger
societal issues, namely censorship and the freedom of speech.
Any call
for censorship, even in the quest of tackling disinformation, is an affront to
the ideas of free speech, with politicians increasingly wanting to be the
arbiter of truth.
The EU’s
demands of TikTok is just the most recent example in
a growing list of challenges faced by tech companies worldwide as they face
calls to do the censorship work of politicians and bureaucrats.
“My
services and I are now investigating whether this is enough to ensure
compliance with the DSA (Digital Services Act),” Breton told said to Reuters after meeting with TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.
“Because
now more than ever, we must spare no effort to protect our citizens –
especially children and teenagers – against illegal content and
disinformation,” he said.

Shadow Armies Are Waging an
Invisible War on Us All
https://www.thelastamericanvagabond.com/shadow-armies-are-waging-an-invisible-war-on-us-all/
by Josh Walkos
The Global Information Battlefield and the Censorship
Machine
The world of psychological operations and information
warfare is complex and often controversial. Our investigation explores the role
of the United States government in this sphere, its partnerships with private
enterprises and academia, and the emergence of a new Department of Defense
(DOD) doctrine that views the entire world—both real and digital—as a
battleground.
The DOD
has adopted a euphemistic term, “the information environment,” which it defines
as “the aggregate of individuals, organizations, and systems that collect,
process, disseminate, or act on information—consisting of physical,
informational, and cognitive dimensions.” This concept is at the heart of a
recent report by the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) entitled
“Information Environment: Opportunities and Threats to DOD’s National Security
Mission.”
While the
GAO and DOD do not explicitly refer to the “information environment” as a
battlefield, it is difficult to read their documents without concluding that
they perceive it as such. By using the term “information environment,” the DOD
effectively obfuscates the true nature of its objectives—not only to its
soldiers but also to other branches of government and the general public.
The DOD’s
interest in information is diverse, but one key concern is the “fusion of
ubiquitous information and technology,” which has granted various entities—both
benign and malign—the ability to target the cognitive foundations of
individuals, such as their beliefs, emotions, and experiences. On the pretext
of “national security,” the DOD seeks to achieve full-spectrum dominance in the
information environment even if it means employing counter-psychological
warfare against its own citizens.
Lieutenant
Colonel Daniel “Plato” Morabito’s report in the Fall
2021 edition of Air & Space Power
Journal captures the essence of the DOD’s evolving perspective on the
information environment: “The global trend toward faster data transfer across
increasingly connected devices—the so-called internet of things—means
adversaries now maintain a presence in American homes, delivered through smartphones and other technology.”
Throughout
history, governments have attempted to influence both foreign and domestic
populations via information operations. The United States military has employed
“strategic communication” since World War II, and during the Cold War, the
United States Information Agency (USIA) disseminated pro-American propaganda
worldwide. The infamous CIA project, MK-Ultra, secretly funded behavioral
psychology research in an effort to control individuals’ minds.
The rise
of the internet in the 1990s led to a significant expansion of the military’s
information operations, and in the wake of the 2001 September 11 attacks, these
operations took center stage. The first deployment of weaponized
social media can be traced to the 2010 Arab Spring, which saw the US military
utilize platforms, online messaging, and strategic communication to support
pro-democracy movements and suppress authoritarian regimes.
Even
before the Arab Spring, however, the US State Department established “Digital
Outreach Teams,” at least in part, to counter false narratives and conduct
psychological operations to encourage pro-American sentiment abroad. The
creation of the 24-hour Arabic-language radio station Radio Sawa provided extensive
coverage of the protests and amplified pro-democracy messages.
The media,
often referred to as the fourth branch of government, played a crucial role in
shaping public opinion during these events, acting as a proxy for the
government’s objectives.
Another
disturbing revelation, scarcely reported by the media, has emerged: the
Pentagon’s alleged use of fake social media accounts as recently as last year,
according to the Washington Post.
While such accounts are permitted under the guise of ‘countering foreign
disinformation campaigns,’ the Pentagon itself determines when such a campaign
is underway. This grants them unbridled discretion to engage in covert
information warfare.
The
disquieting truth, discernible only to the vigilant, is that the Pentagon need
not rely on ‘countering foreign disinformation’ as a pretext. On December 31,
2012, President Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), an
annual legislation that sets the budget and expenditures for the DOD. In 2023,
$816.7 billion was authorized for the DOD. Although some allocation of funds is
warranted for defense, the NDAA is often exploited as a tool for policy and
politics.
In 2012,
Republican Mac Thornberry and Democrat Adam Smith introduced the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act. The original Smith-Mundt Act, originally enacted in 1948, authorized the State
Department to develop methods to disseminate propaganda outside US borders.
Over time, however, it evolved into a program used to target American citizens.
The 2012 NDAA allowed for this, citing the threat of foreign terrorist
organizations, such as al-Qaeda, attempting to persuade the American public to
abandon Western ideals.
Thornberry,
one of the sponsors of the update, claimed that the amendment was necessary to
“effectively communicate in a credible and transparent way.” Despite assurances
from lawmakers, recent history has revealed otherwise. The Russiagate
affair, which accused President Trump of being a Russian asset, is a prime
example.

Did you

Movement” — would probably not exist today were it not for the Jewish state?
That the Israelis helped turn a bunch of fringe Palestinian Islamists in the
late 1970s into one of the world’s most notorious militant groups? That Hamas
is blowback? Former Israeli official Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Segev,
who was the Israeli military governor in Gaza in the early 1980s, told a New
York Times reporter that he had helped finance the Palestinian Islamist
movement as a “counterweight” to the secularists and leftists of the Palestine
Liberation Organization and the Fatah party, led by Yasser Arafat. Avner Cohen, a former Israeli religious affairs official
who worked in Gaza for more than two decades, told the Wall Street Journal in
2009 that Hamas is “Israel’s creation.” Hamas was the result of this, as Mehdi Hasan explains. First, the Israelis helped build up a
militant strain of Palestinian political Islam, in the form of Hamas and its
Muslim Brotherhood precursors; then, the Israelis switched tack and tried to
bomb, besiege, and blockade it out of existence.

“A Big Event is Coming,
its Name is a Regional War”? The Danger Waiting for Turkiye
https://www.globalresearch.ca/danger-waiting-turkiye/5838595
by Huseyin
Vodinali
Israel has started a ground operation, albeit limited, in
the north of Gaza.
This was a red line for pro-Iran resistance groups, and the
results are starting to come.
Pro-Iran Hezbollah in Lebanon began hitting Israeli troops
on the border, pro-Iran Houthis in Yemen started
launching missiles, and pro-Iran resistance groups in Iraq and Syria started
hitting US bases from the air.
In fact, Yemen, under the rule of the Houthis,
became the first Arab country to declare war on Israel since the Yom Kippur war
in 1973.
Sheikh Ekrem
Al Kaabi, Secretary
General of the pro-Iran Al Najaba Movement in Iraq:
“Iraqi
Islamic resistance decided to liberate Iraq militarily, this issue has been
resolved, thank God for the mujahideen. He declared
war against the USA, saying, “There will be no stopping, no ceasefire, no withdrawal.”
The speech
of Hasan Nasrallah,
the leader of Hezbollah, which is Israel’s biggest nightmare after the heavy
slap it received in 2006, will be made at 3 o’clock on Friday, is eagerly
awaited.
The first
bits of information are that Hezbollah will officially enter the war.
See what
Mideast Spectator says:
“Anyone who has been following the
war since October 7 knows that all parties are anxiously awaiting the next move
of the resistance axis groups, especially Hezbollah.
Hezbollah,
which pushed Israel out of Lebanon in the 1980s and defended the South against
another invasion attempt in 2006, is a much stronger and more capable enemy for
the Israeli army than Hamas or Islamic Jihad.
Since the
beginning of the war, unofficial statements and media reports have been
circulating claiming that Israel’s ground intervention in Gaza would be
considered Hezbollah’s red line.
Although
these statements are not official, many of you wondered when Hezbollah would
actually step in.
Hezbollah
has been attacking IDF positions on the Lebanese border every day without
exception since October 8. Nearly 50 martyrs have been announced, and we are
curious about the number of Israeli casualties (IDF announced that 11 of its
soldiers died only yesterday). In addition to the deaths, many Israeli army
vehicles and tanks were also destroyed.
But there are hints that something
else is brewing.
Something
bigger.
It’s unprecedented.
Every day
for the past 24 days, Hezbollah has consistently and successfully targeted
Israeli surveillance and surveillance equipment along the Lebanese border.
Dozens of radar stations, night
vision cameras, infrared sensors, long-range communication towers, telescopes
and antennas have been destroyed by the Lebanese group in the past few weeks.
Israeli Border Provocation Moves Plan for Regional
War Forward
By
disabling most of the IDF’s observation network, these operations effectively
blinded the Israelis in the north, especially in Metula
and surrounding settlements.
We may
begin to wonder why Hezbollah places such emphasis on this modus operandi,
rather than simply killing soldiers or destroying tanks.
Now that
the IDF has dedicated the majority of its forces to urban combat operations in
Gaza, a unique opportunity arises in the north.
A project that can shape the future of the region. Hezbollah knows this and has been waiting for this moment for 17 years.
The North
is now a complete blind spot and, based on current information,
it is very likely that the real event is yet to come.
The only
thing we can do is wait for Nasrallah’s speech on
Friday (at 15.00), but there may be some surprises waiting for us. “All the
signs are there.”
Yes, a big event is coming, its name is a regional war.
So what
does the one-man regime in Turkey do?
Apart from
rallies and demonstrations, that is!
The radar
base in Kürecik, Malatya, which is responsible for
monitoring Iran for Israel’s defense, is fully operational.
Just yesterday, two US B-1B bombers
from Germany landed in Incirlik.
These giant planes are used for
massive bombing raids.
The reason
for the planes’ arrival was announced as refueling.
The real
reason is the war against Lebanon and Syria.
And for
now…
Then maybe
Iran is the target, we will get there soon.
As you
know, the USA has a huge naval fleet stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The
one-man regime in Turkey continues its membership in NATO, amid slogans of Mehmetçik (epithet of Turksh
soldier) to Gaza.
This could
be the only reason for not making peace with Assad in Syria.
Especially in a period like this, when a major war is approaching again
on our borders.
But the
real danger lies in a possible war with Iran.
How? Let
me explain. . . . .

“Not war but genocide”
https://electronicintifada.net/content/not-war-genocide/39591
by Ruwaida
Amer
What we are experiencing here in
Gaza is not a war, but a genocide.
Heavy bombs and missiles fall on
civilians who should be safe in their homes. The goal is to kill entire
families.
In those
homes, a child rests in his father’s arms, telling him about his dreams for the
future. But the sounds of bombardment worries him
because he knows that these missiles that explode all through the night will
kill him and end his dreams.
War is
between countries that have militaries, weapons, and air forces. War is not
waged against 2.3 million civilians who live in an area of 360 square km and
have been under siege for more than 17 years.
We, the
2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, try our best to live despite the siege and
the scarcity of everything.
A day in
Gaza passes slowly and is filled with fear and anxiety. All you want to do is
stay in a safe place and follow the news. Tears never stop: tears over the
scenes of death and destruction; tears over the screams of mothers and fathers.
We follow the news and fear that we will be the next news item.
No one in
Gaza is safe.
Despite
the fact that the day is very boring and no one has the desire to do anything,
we eat to be able to walk and have some energy to think about what is happening
to us. Before the war, we ate three meals a day. Now, we only eat one meal a
day.
Israel has
cut food supplies to Gaza.
In
daylight, you hear the sounds of explosions differently, depending on whether
they are made by missiles from the air, the ground or from tank shells. And we
wonder: What is this sound? Is it a warplane or a tank? There is no essential
difference between them, of course, because both aim to kill and destroy, but
we want to know that, if we are killed, by which?
Night and day . . . .

Without Hamas, Gaza Would Still

It shocks me that in my threads I
keep coming across variations of the following tweet:
“The Palestinians have it within
them to rise up against Hamas to free themselves. Or Hamas can willingly
surrender. Two real choices there.”
This view isn’t just being promoted
in bad faith by Israeli apologists. It seems to resonate with ordinary people
who presumably know very little about the histories either of Palestine or of
settler colonial movements such as the Zionist movement that founded Israel.
So let’s
delve briefly into both:.
First,
settler colonial movements are distinguished from standard colonialism — like
British rule in India — by the fact that the settler population wishes not just
to steal the native population’s resources but to replace the native population
itself.
There are
lots of examples of this: European settlers dispossessed native peoples in what
we today call the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, for
example.
The
definition of genocide in international law exactly describes what those
Europeans did to the local population: mass killings; inflicting conditions
calculated to bring about the physical destruction of all or part of the native
community; preventing births within the local population; and forcibly
transferring native children to the settler population.
European
settlers who today call themselves Americans, Canadians, Australians and New
Zealanders never had to account for their crimes against those native peoples.
Which possibly explains why the tweet above is so commonplace — and why
European countries and their settler colonial outgrowths are today lining up
against the rest of the world to support Israel as it intensifies industrial
genocide in Gaza.

A free

others advocating for Palestinian rights across the United States are facing
racist attacks and retaliation that threaten their safety and livelihoods.
These attacks aim to suppress criticism of Israel and U.S. support of its
actions in Gaza. This comes as the U.S. Senate has unanimously passed a
resolution "condemning Hamas and antisemitic
student activities on college campuses." The resolution references a
student at New York University's law school whose job offer was withdrawn after
they sent a newsletter to classmates expressing "unwavering and absolute
solidarity with Palestinians in their resistance against oppression toward
liberation and self-determination." We're joined by that student, Ryna Workman, who was also suspended from their position as
president of the NYU Law Student Bar Association after publicly expressing
support for Palestine, and by Dima Khalidi, the founder and director of Palestine Legal, a
legal aid organization dedicated to documenting and supporting people who face
retaliation for supporting Palestinian rights. "Folks are now afraid to

what Khalidi terms "the Palestine exception to

“Deeper Into Depravity”
Complements
of Dr. Robert W Malone – ‘Friday Funnies, Nov. 3, 2023”
https://scheerpost.com/2023/10/31/patrick-lawrence-deeper-into-depravity/
by Patrick Lawrence
Diego
Ramos, ScheerPost’s managing editor, forwarded me a
video clip last week he thought I ought to see. Sending it under the subject
line, “Disturbing trend in Israel,” my colleague must have reckoned I have not
been sufficiently shocked by the events in Israel and Gaza since Hamas mounted
an assault into southern Israel on October 7 and the Israeli Defense Forces
began a purposely disproportionate response to the incursion—purposely
disproportionate as a matter of official policy since David Ben–Gurion put it
in place during his premiership in the 1950s.
Diego did
his disturbing work. The video he forwarded outdoes it all so far by provoking a disgust as profound as any I have ever felt. It features a
number of scenes wherein Israelis record themselves sadistically ridiculing
Palestinians in the most cravenly cruel manner. They imitate Palestinian
children dying or starving. They apply racially offensive makeup. They laugh
and dance while switching lights on and off and while ostentatiously drinking
water from taps—this last to mock Gazans as Israel
deprives them of power, potable water, food and much else.
And I am
describing the children in these videos, ranging in age from, maybe, six or
seven to somewhere in their teens or early twenties. The mothers stand behind
them, smiling with approval and delight. Here is the
video as posted by Al Jazeera English last Thursday.
I have since seen several others like it.
By common
agreement among many lawyers, scholars of international law, special rapporteurs, and the like—including Israelis in these
fields—what we witness daily now is by all acceptable definitions a genocide.
Whether or not Israel is committing war crimes by the hour is not even worth
debating. But I am taken up now by the spectacle of human beings who have
allowed themselves to be destroyed in the name of an ideology that proves every
bit as racist as it was when, in 1975, the U.N. General Assembly declared
Zionism to be so. Resolution 3379 was revoked in 1991; it should not have been.
I am
reminded of what I learned years ago when studying the Japanese Imperial Army’s
conduct in China and Korea before and during World War II and the long record
of the Kempeitai,
commonly known as Imperial Japan’s Thought Police. Victimizers, I came to
conclude with conviction, are victims, too. This holds for the people in the
videos I have recently viewed and for every Israeli wearing an IDF uniform.
They have been stripped of all ordinary decency by the radical ideologues of
“the Jewish state.” They can laugh or sneer or pull all the triggers they like:
Their lives, too, have been destroyed. Look at the videos: The evidence of this
is in every frame.
“Nothing
human disgusts me” is a line I remember well from The Night of the Iguana, the
1961 play by the superbly human Tennessee Williams. I hold to this thought
(even while reading the foreign pages of The New York Times). What has happened
to the people in the videos must disgust us. But what they suffer as victims
could happen to all but the strongest among us. They are appalling specimens of
humanity, but they are human. As we find our way to some morally,
intellectually defensible high ground during the atrocities we witness daily,
we need to bear this in mind.

The Reality of Gaza's Forced
Exodus: Unveiling Israel's Secret Plan
by Jessica Buxbaum
Last weekend, Israeli newspaper Local Call leaked an
official Israeli government document recommending what Palestinians have been
saying Israel is already trying to execute with its war on Gaza — the forcible
transfer of Gaza’s 2.3 million Palestinian population to Egypt’s Sinai
Peninsula.
Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office acknowledged the Intelligence Ministry’s proposal
exists. Still, it dismissed it in a statement to the Times of
Israel as a “concept paper, the likes of
which are prepared at all levels of the government and its security agencies.”
Yet
Israeli actions, circulating information, and international support all signal that this policy on paper is quickly transitioning to
the policy on the ground.
From draft policy to reality
The
document dated October 13 calls for Israel “to evacuate the [Gazan] civilian population to Sinai” first by establishing
tent cities and then building new towns in northern Sinai. Following the
resettlement, the paper recommends “to create a sterile zone of several
kilometers inside Egypt and not allow the population to return to activity or
residence near the Israeli border.”
Netanyahu
is already attempting to put this plan into action. Last week, the Israeli
prime minister sought to convince European leaders to pressure Egypt into
accepting refugees from Gaza, according to the Financial
Times. Diplomats from France, Germany,
and the UK, however, dismissed the idea, citing Egypt’s strong rejection of the
displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.
With that
avenue failing, Netanyahu is now reportedly proposing
to write off a large chunk of Egypt’s debt through the World Bank to
incentivize the country to take in Gaza’s population.
“Everything
that has been spelled out in this document in terms of the modalities is
everything that we’re seeing right now,” international human rights lawyer
Diana Buttu told MintPress
News.
The plan’s
first phase details Israel’s aerial bombardment of the northern section of the
Gaza Strip and the moving of the population of over one million people to the
south. The second stage outlines Israel’s ground invasion, beginning in the
north and then taking over the whole region.
“Compressing
Palestinians to smaller and smaller areas may just be the first of what will
ultimately be the fulfillment of these plans on paper,” Adam Shapiro,
Israel/Palestine director for rights group Democracy for the Arab World Now
(DAWN), told MintPress News.
The
controversial Intelligence Ministry document isn’t the only policy paper
recommending 2.3 million Gazans’ forcible transfer to
Egypt. Israeli security think tank Misgav (or the
Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy) published a paper written by Misgav researcher Amir Weitmann on October 17, entitled, “A plan for resettlement
and final rehabilitation in Egypt of the entire population of Gaza: economic
aspects.” Weitman is an activist with Netanyahu’s Likud
Party and reportedly a close associate
of Intelligence Minister Gila Gamliel.
The report
calls for “Israel…[to] transfer as many Gazans as possible to other countries; Any other
alternative, including PA rule, is a strategic failure. Therefore, Gaza’s
population should be transferred to the Sinai Desert and the displaced absorbed
in other countries.”

Craig Mokhiber, a top United
Nations human rights official who stepped down at the weekend over the organisation’s response to the war in Gaza, has called on
the UN to attach the same standards to Israel as it does when assessing human
rights violations in other countries around the world.
Mokhiber, who was the director of the New
York office of the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, wrote in his
October 28 resignation letter that Israel’s military actions in Gaza were “textbook genocide” and accused the UN of again “failing” to act,
referring to previous genocides in Bosnia, Rwanda, and Myanmar.
The UN
Office of the High Commissioner of Human Rights disputes Mr. Mokhiber’s characterisation that
he resigned. It claims he retired.
Mokhiber, an international human rights
lawyer, had been with the UN since 1992 and worked previously as a human rights
adviser in Afghanistan and the occupied Palestinian territories.
At least
8,805 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 7 after the armed group Hamas launched a surprise
assault on Israel, killing at least 1,400 people and taking more than 200
people captive.

decision for a slower ground attack on Hamas in Gaza, prompting discussions
about the strategy's appropriateness. Considerations
regarding Israel's diplomatic capabilities amid heightened emotions in the
region. Analysis of potential interventions by Turkey
and Jordan in the Israel-Gaza conflict and Ukraine's challenges in maintaining
alliances amid multiple fronts. Assessment of
potential threats to Israel, including the perceived danger posed by the
Turkish military. The recent altercation between a
U.S. B-52 bomber and a Chinese fighter jet and the motivations behind such

Gaza-Israel Catastrophe —
Autocracy
https://consortiumnews.com/2023/11/01/gaza-israel-catastrophe-autocracy/
by Dan Steinbock
Dan Steinbock
describes the process by which the Netanyahu government has sought to transform
Israel from within and annex the occupied territories. Part 2
of a 5-part series.
The effort
has been led by Yariv Levin, Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu’s deputy prime minister and justice minister, and Simcha
Rothman, chair of the Knesset’s Constitution, Law and Justice Committee.
Levin
fought the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, opposes a
two-state solution and supports settlers.
Rothman, a
critic of Netanyahu’s corruption trial, represents the militant, anti-Arab
Religious Zionist Party that promotes far-right Kahanism
and Jewish supremacy and supports the annexation of occupied territories to
Israel. (For more, see Neta Oren’s article in The Middle East Journal, “’King Bibi’ and Israeli Illiberalism:
Assessing Democratic Backsliding in Israel during the Second Netanyahu
Era.”)
The key
amendment passed by Israel’s Parliament, the Knesset, in late July, seeks to
limit the Supreme Court’s power to exercise judicial review, granting the
government control over judicial appointments.
It caused
a political and constitutional turmoil that came to a head on Sept. 12, when
the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case. The judicial reform effort
reflects descent toward autocracy and was opposed by most Israelis in massive
protests.
In the
past, Israel’s judiciary has regularly upheld policies, practices and laws that
helped enforce “Israel’s system of apartheid against Palestinians,” including
upholding administrative detentions, green-lighting the destruction of villages
and imposing restrictions on family reunification.

Strikes on south Gaza: BBC
verifies attacks in areas of ‘safety’
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-67264703
by BBC News, with Merlyn Thomas, Shereen Sherif, Ahmed Nour and Lamees Altalebi
Since the Israeli military issued
the first of several instructions for civilians to evacuate north Gaza,
hundreds of thousands of Gazans have moved to the
south of the strip. But the south has continued to come under Israeli
bombardment, leading the UN and other aid organisations
to warn that nowhere in Gaza is safe for civilians.
To better
understand the risk to civilians in south Gaza, BBC Verify has identified and analysed four specific instances of strikes in that region.
We also looked at some of the warnings and evacuation instructions that were
issued to Gazan civilians, including some advising
them to move to certain areas in the south.
Some of
these warnings were accompanied by maps with arrows pointing to vaguely defined
areas to move towards. Three strikes we examined hit within, or close to, those
areas in the days after the warnings were issued.

The Roots of Radicalism, the
Structure of Evil, and the Slaughter of Innocents
by Edward Curtin
My title
is redundant for a reason, since the root of the word radical is the Latin
word, radix, meaning
root. For I mean to show how the use and misuse of language, its history
or etymology, and ours as etymological animals as the Spanish philosopher José
Ortega y Gassett called us, is crucial for
understanding our world, a world once again teetering on the edge of a world
war that will almost inexorably turn nuclear as events are proceeding.
If our
language is corrupted, as it surely is, and political propaganda flourishes as
a result, the correct use of our language and the meaning of words becomes an
obligation of anyone who uses them – that is, everyone, especially writers.
The United States government exists
to wage war. In its present form, it
would crumble without it; and in its present form, it will crumble with
it. Only a radical structural change will prevent this. For
war-making is at the core of its budget, its raison d’être – 816.7 billion for
the Fiscal 2023 National Defense Authorization Act alone – a deficit-financed
sum that tells only part of the story.
This
amount that finances the military-industrial complex and its blood money is for
a country that has never been invaded, is bordered by friendly neighbors, and
is oceans away from the multitude of countries its leaders attack and call our
enemies. The U.S. wages wars around the world because killing is its
lifeblood, its structural essence.
In writing
of the misuse of language, George Orwell wrote, “It becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish, but
the slovenliness of our language makes it easier for us to have foolish
thoughts.”
So with
these words Orwell slyly places us within the enigma of the chicken and the
egg, a conundrum or paradox that relates to my theme in a weird way, but which
I will directly ignore.
By radical
I do not mean the widespread political usage as in radical-right or
radical-left or radical meaning one who plays the role through dress or
demeanor. I am using the word in its primary meaning – a radical is one
who is rooted in the earth, which means everyone. Everyone therefore is
mortal, human not a god, and comes from the earth and returns to it.
Everyone
is radical in this sense, although they may try to deny it. And the more
one feels alive the more one senses one will die and doesn’t like the thought,
therefore many tamp down their aliveness in order to reduce their fear of
death. The best way to do this is to disappear into the crowd, to become
a conventional person. To act as if one didn’t know that one’s political
leaders were in love with death and killing and were not obedient cogs in a
vast systemic killing machine. Maybe the unconscious assumption is that
these “leaders” can kill death for you by killing vast numbers of people and
make you feel someone has control of this thing called death.
Rabbi
Abraham Joshua Heschel, who stood strongly against
the Vietnam War and marched with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., put the basic
sense of radical well when he said:
Our goal
should be to live life in radical amazement. . . . get up in the morning and look at the world in a way that
takes nothing for granted. Everything is phenomenal; everything is incredible;
never treat life casually. To be spiritual is to be amazed.
To be
radically amazed that we exist is to be equally amazed that we will die.
And there’s the rub.

After Gaza, Conflict in Asia
https://consortiumnews.com/2023/11/03/after-gaza-conflict-in-asia/
by Vijay Prashad
As the world’s failure to stop
massacre after massacre in Gaza shows the deep failure of the U.N.-centered
international system, Vijay Prashad turns attention
to the conflict looming over Northeast Asia.
It is
impossible to look away from what the Israeli government is doing to
Palestinians not only in Gaza, but also in the West Bank.
Waves of Israeli
aircraft pummel Gaza, destroying communications networks and thereby preventing
families from reaching each other, journalists from reporting on the
destruction and Palestinian authorities and United Nations agencies from
providing humanitarian assistance.
This
violence has spurred protests across the world, with the planet’s billions
outraged by the asymmetrical destruction of the Palestinian people.
If the
Israeli government claims that it is conducting a form of “politicide”
— excising organised Palestinian forces from Gaza —
the world sees Israeli aircrafts and tanks as conducting nothing but a
genocide, displacing and massacring Palestine refugees in Gaza, 81 percent of whose residents were expelled from, or are the descendants of
those who were expelled from, what was declared Israel in 1948.
All images
coming out of Gaza show that Israel’s assault is unrelenting, sparing neither
children nor women nor the elderly and sick. The failure of the world to stop
massacre after massacre shows us the deep brokenness of our international
system.
That
broken international system, rooted in the U.N., brought us the conflict in
Ukraine and is now egging on a dangerous confrontation in Northeast Asia, with
flashpoints around the Korean peninsula and Taiwan.
While
there are indications that the
U.S. and China will restart the military talks that were suspended in August
2022 when former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan in an act of
reckless adventurism, this does not indicate lowered tensions in the waters
around Northeast Asia.
For this
reason, Tricontinental: Institute for Social
Research, No Cold War and the International
Strategy Centre have partnered to produce
briefing Mo. 10, “The US and NATO Militarise
Northeast Asia,” which makes up the rest of this week’s newsletter. . . . .

Israel in Search of Its Hiroshima:
Massive Bomb Wipes Out 20 Apt. Buildings, Kills, Wounds
400 Civilians
by Juan Cole
In one of the biggest massacres it
has so far committed, the Israeli Air Force on Tuesday bombed the Jabaliyaa refugee camp in Gaza, killing or wounding at
least 400 persons and destroying the Block Six residential complex, felling 20
buildings. More victims are believed to be under the rubble.
An Israeli
military spokesman said that
the strike was directed at Hamas leader Ibrahim Biari,
a mastermind of the October 7 attack on Israel. Although Israeli authorities
proclaimed that they had succeeded in killing Biari,
Hamas announced that he was still very much alive.
Killing
and wounding 400 noncombatants and destroying 20 residential buildings to get
at one target, even if the target is a wanted terrorist, is strictly forbidden
under the post-World War II laws of war and International Humanitarian law.
These laws are codified in the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute that
underpins the International Criminal Court.
For
instance, Rome Statute:
Art. 8 (2)
(b) (iv) Intentionally launching an attack in the knowledge that such attack
will cause incidental loss of life or injury to civilians or damage to civilian
objects or widespread, long-term and severe damage to the natural environment
which would be clearly excessive in relation to the concrete and direct overall
military advantage anticipated. (4th Geneva Convention Art.
85 (3) (b) of AP I.)
Art. 8 (2)
(a) (iv) Extensive destruction and appropriation of
property, not justified by military necessity and carried out unlawfully and
wantonly (mirrored from Geneva Conventions Art. 50/51/147 of GC I, II and IV).
Art. 8 (2)
(b) (i) Intentionally directing attacks against the
civilian population as such or against individual civilians not taking direct part
in hostilities (4th Geneva Convention Art. 85 (3) (a), plus Art. 51(2) AP I).
Art. 8 (2)
(b) (v) Attacking or bombarding, by whatever means, towns, villages, dwellings
or buildings which are undefended and which are not military objectives. (4th Geneva Convention, Art. 85 (3) (d) of AP I).
The
presence of one senior Hamas commander, or even a
platoon of them, among hundreds of noncombatants clearly would not justify
recklessly endangering innocent civilians on the scale of Jabaliyaa.
This is a war crime pure and simple.
In a CNN interview by Wolf Blitzer of an Israeli
military spokesman, Blitzer is clearly astonished that he straightforwardly
admitted that the Israelis knew that the strike would kill the refugees in the
camp, but did it anyway.

The Plan: WHO’s Ten Years of
Infectious Diseases (2020 to 2030), Leading to World Tyranny
by Peter Koenig
Excess mortality is reported from Norway – and all over the
western world or Global North. Excesses never heard before. In
the ranges of between 15% and 25%. In some countries
even higher. Worrisome. No clear causes can be
detected.
See this.
Already
more than a year ago Dr. Michael Yeadon, former VP Pfizer and Chief of
Science at Pfizer, warned that excess deaths will appear in the next 3-5 and
even up to ten years, because of the false and criminal, untested mRNA vaxxes.
He
elaborates. After all the boosters – 3 to 4 shots – the immune system has lost
up to 80% of its defenses. Thus, people are more vulnerable to catching any
kind of disease. Plus, myocarditis and sudden deaths
are on the rise – even in young people, especially those who practice sport or
are sports professionals.
In
addition, graphene oxide injection and other
concoctions being injected, cause all sorts of cancers, mostly in reproductive
systems of men and women, as well as several types of cancers of the blood, of
the eyes causing blindness… liver and kidney diseases… and much more.
In
addition, these injections, called vaccines, also cause massive infertility. In
some countries life-childbirth was down by up to 40% in 2022.
Dr. Yeadon
warned that the diseases will be very difficult to trace back to the vaxxes, but that’s where the origin is.
A clear eugenics agenda, mass depopulation, unprecedented.
Genocide
is a word that doesn’t meet the extent of the atrocity that’s behind what we
are living through — what the cabal is carrying out.
The UN Agenda 2030, alias Klaus Schwab’s (WEF) Great Reset and the nefarious,
all-digitizing 4th
Industrial Revolution, also includes an asset-stripping plan
never seen and experienced before in human history. Assets of covid mandates-caused bankruptcies are sucked upwards
into the vaults of the financial oligarchs and the Dark Invisible Financial Cabal –
which is funding and orchestrating the WEF and which is in control of over 90%
of the world’s mainstream media. See this.
The Agenda
2030 (originally called Agenda 21) was prepared by a very long hand, dating
back 60 to a hundred years. Be aware, the Dark Invisible Financial Cabal acts
as a cult. In order to be successful, it has to tell the people what it is up
to.
Indeed,
over the past several decades we have received many warnings of what to
expect – namely a Health
Tyranny, enhanced by a fake Global Warming and Biodiversity Green agenda.
The New Green is a fascist neoliberal,
make-believe environmental protection farse. In reality – far from environmental protection. To the contrary. Yet, people throughout the world fall for
it. Propaganda is deadly. We have to stop it.
*
The Plan’s
execution started in January 2020. First with a fake disease called Covid-19 –
the mortality of which is about the same or less than that of the common flu,
some 0.03% to 0.07%. And unbelievably – the Covid-19 pandemic, or rather the Plandemic
– hit all 193 UN member countries at once, on the same day. The vast majority
of the people believed it.
However,
an intense media-driven fear-campaign, with strictly totalitarian-enforced
mandates of lockdowns and face masking, distancing people from each other,
lowering their moral even further, i.e. their self-esteem, their defenses,
insecurity, dictatorial measures, led to world tyranny.
It sounds
like a project collaborated by the Tavistock Institute on Social Engineering of the
Masses. (See also Daniel Estulin’s book of the
same title (Copyright 2015)). Tavistock in close
collaboration with DARPA, the secretive Pentagon thinktank,
specializing in mind-control, MK-Ultra and societal manipulation through the
mass-media and often deadly false flag events.
The Global
West has quietly suspended in most countries their
Constitutions, either by silent decree, or by Parliamentary votes, where
Parliamentarians were co-opted to be part of the crime. But the vast majority
of populations have no idea. They still refer to democracy — when “democracy” we never had in the last 2000
years and beyond.
And just
to be sure that we all understand what the Greek term of “democracy” really
meant – supposedly born in Delphi, Greece, some 800 years BC and first
practiced in ancient Athens 507 years BC by Athenian leader Cleisthenes. It
meant one person one vote – but
only for educated male, who were qualified for sociopolitical decisions.
Just a word on our sloganized and vastly
over-used term democracy. This is what google has to
say:
Athenian
democracy was a system of government where all [free] male citizens
[age 20 and above] [slaves excluded] could attend and participate in
the assembly which governed the city-state. This was a democratic form of
government where the people or ‘demos’ had real political power. Athens,
therefore, had a direct democracy.
You may
want to make a note of it before using the misleading term “democracy” freely
again. Let’s first see what we mean by “democracy” and how we have learned to
manipulate it for the service of the powerful.
This brief
observation on democracy may be
important, if ever we get back to “democracy” in a new society. Let’s make sure
that the term is defined clearly in every Constitution of every sovereign
country.
Back to
excess deaths.
What can
we do?
For most
of the vaxxed population it’s too late. They can just
hope that their shot was not deadly, or that it may have been a placebo. In
every trial – which this entire vaxx crime was and is
– there are placebos.
We should
inform as many people as we can of these horrendous circumstances – of the
excess deaths and of the whys –
so that people wake up and do not get drawn into vaxxing
anymore, and so that they help others waking up.
We should
initiate criminal procedures against all governments who knowingly participated
in this crime, especially the Health Ministers and the management of WHO, the
UN system, the WEF — and the eugenist oligarch
suspects we all know. And indeed, get to the bottom of the Cabal.
A Grand
Jury trial has already determined the guilty – with evidence statements by
witnesses from the key organizations behind this magnum crime. See all the
sub-links in the “Stop World Control” video below.
We must
immediately stop and resist any activity linked to the infamous UN Agenda
2030 and the WEF’s Great Reset; derail with all means we have at our
disposal the 4th Industrial Revolution’s digitization process, starting with
undoing any advances that have been made with digital money, body-implanted
chips – whose purpose it is to enslave humanity – and on a wider score to transhumanize humanity.
We must
stop this monstrous crime of biblical proportions NOW.
In short,
we should prepare for a massive Nuremberg 2.0.
Without delay.

The WHO is angry its plan to
tackle "misinformation" is delayed
https://reclaimthenet.org/who-tedros-slow-pandemic-treaty-misinformation-infodemics
by Didi Rankovic
The Global
Preparedness Monitoring Board (GPMG) – a body set up by the UN’s World Health
Organization (WHO) and the World Bank – has released its annual report for 2023.
WHO’s
Director-General Tedros Adhanom
Ghebreyesus offered his reaction to it,
the key takeaway from both the report and his remarks being that work on the
proposed pandemic accord/agreement/treaty is progressing too slowly.
Related: UN
Publishes Final Draft of Declaration That Targets “Misinformation” Backs WHO
Pandemic Treaty
The WHO
has a great interest in this treaty coming into force as soon as possible and
wants UN member-states to speed things up, as it would give WHO new, not only health-related but also essentially political
powers – such as targeting what it designates as “misinformation,” all the way
to surveillance.
The way
the WHO head is selling the need for the document to be completed and adopted
ASAP is, naturally, different: Tedros says it has to
do solely with preparedness and response to health emergencies. And he is using
Covid as proof and justification that this treaty is
needed.
As Ghebreyesus put it in urging countries to hurry up
finalizing the document, “Another pandemic or global health emergency could
come at any time, just as it did in 2019.”
And he is
“concerned that negotiations are progressing too
slowly, and that the agreement may not be ready in time for the World Health
Assembly next year.”
GPMB,
meanwhile, was set up just a year before the “previous pandemic” – in 2018. The
group describes itself as an independent (that just happens to be convened by
WHO and the World Bank) monitoring and “accountability” body.
The new
report dubs the world’s preparedness as being in “a fragile state,” apparently
despite GPMB’s “best efforts” to provide policymakers around the world with
assessments and “a roadmap to a safer world.”
To make
this world possible, the WHO has released something called “new infodemic management tool.” But what in the world is an “infodemic”?
WHO says
it’s “too much information including false or misleading information in digital
and physical environments during a disease outbreak.”
Further,
an “infodemic” is painted as an ill that can lead
people to engage is “risk-taking behaviors,” not to mention undermine trust in
(health) authorities.
It seems
pretty clear that the buzzword has been crafted, and defined, in reaction to
criticism and skepticism around Covid measures, and
that WHO keeps marching along the path it has taken during the pandemic –
preparing for “the next one” by focusing on how to better control information
and whatever the message may be.

The Horrifying Secret Agenda of
the UN and WHO: Total Enslavement of Humanity Through
a “Global Health Dictatorship”
by Peter Koenig, Dr. Astrid Stuckelberger, and Mike Adams
The official concluding statements by the UN and WHO
at the completion of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York regarding the High-level
Meeting on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response are summarized as
follows:
United Nations
The high-level meeting on pandemic prevention,
preparedness and response will focus on the theme: “Creating and maintaining
political momentum and solidarity for Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and
Response“. Plenary Segment: Statements by Member States and members of the
United Nations specialized agencies.Issued on 20 Sept
2023.
WHO statement on the high-level
meeting on pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response:
The World
Health Organization welcomed today’s historic commitment shown by global
leaders, at the UNGA, to strengthen the international cooperation,
coordination, governance, and investment needed to prevent a repeat of the
devastating health and socioeconomic impact caused by COVID-19, make the world
better prepared for future pandemic, and get back on track to achieving the
Sustainable Development Goals.
“The
first-ever head of state summit on pandemic prevention, preparedness and
response is a historic milestone in the urgent drive to make all people of the
world safer, and better protected from the devastating impacts of pandemics,”
said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General. “I welcome this
commitment by world leaders to provide the political support and direction
needed so that WHO, governments and all involved can protect people’s health
and take concrete steps towards investing in local capacities, ensuring equity
and supporting the global emergency health architecture that the world needs.”
The
political declaration, approved by Mr
Dennis Francis, President of the 78th United Nations
General Assembly (2023), and the result of negotiations under the able leadership of Ambassadors Gilad
Erdan of Israel and Omar Hilale
of Morocco, underscored the pivotal role played by WHO as the “directing and coordinating authority on
international health,” and the need to “commit further to sustainable financing that provides adequate and
predictable funding to the WHO, which enables it to have the resources needed
to fulfil its core functions.”Issued on 20 Sept 2023
Neither the
UN nor the WHO statement mentions the number of world leaders or heads of
state, who approved the crucial WHO documents, the severely revised (more than
90 points of revision) International
Health Regulations (IHR), including the Pandemic Treaty – which is actually no longer a treaty, as it is
planned to ram it through during the next World Health Assembly (WHA) in May
2024 – making the new IHR effective without a vote. See full interview
with Dr. Astrid Stuckelberger here.

that Could 'Kill Them'”
by John Ely
Londonderry-based
Dr Mary McCloskey claimed the
pandemic was a ‘figment’ of the media and the Government and that jabs don’t
work and were killing people.
She
also claimed tests and face masks were being used as a psychological weapons to
spread fear and experts were ‘laughing’ at the public via how they named
variants of the virus.
In
one of her most inflammatory statements on Covid
vaccines, she claimed parents were being ‘told to line up our children to get
something that might kill them, to protect them from something that can’t kill
them’.
Dr McCloskey, who also goes by her
middle name Anne, made the comments in a series of videos uploaded online
between August and November 2021.
A Medical Practitioners Tribunal
Service (MPTS) hearing held late last month heard how, in a video on August 21,
she claimed the dangers of the pandemic had been invented and promoted to the
public.
‘This whole hype has largely been a
figment of the media and the government and their lying scientific advisers’
deceptions,’ she said.
In another she claimed Covid vaccines weren’t being used to protect people’s
health but instead harm them.
‘Let people see that these
injections are killing people; they are harming people; they are not preventing
sickness and they are not about health,’ she said.
The 66-year-old also claimed people
who received Covid jabs had done so under duress
being ‘coerced, bribed or bullied’ to have the injection.

America’s War Economy and the Urgent Call for Peace in the
Middle East
by Liz Theoharis
On
September 19, 2001, eight days after 9/11, as the leaders of both parties were
already pounding a frenzied drumbeat of war, a diverse group of concerned
Americans released a warning about the long-term consequences of a military
response. Among them were veteran civil rights activists, faith leaders, and
public intellectuals, including Rosa Parks, Harry Belafonte, and
Palestinian-American Edward Said. Rare public opponents of the drive to war at
the time, they wrote with level-headed clarity:
“We foresee that a military response
would not end the terror. Rather, it would spark a cycle of escalating
violence, the loss of innocent lives, and new acts of terrorism… Our best
chance for preventing such devastating acts of terror is to act decisively and
cooperatively as part of a community of nations within the framework of
international law… and work for justice at home and abroad.”
Twenty-three years and more than two
wars later, this statement reads as a tragic footnote to America’s Global War
on Terror that left an entire region of the planet immiserated.
It contributed to the direct and indirect deaths of close
to 4.5 million people, while costing Americans almost $9
trillion and counting.
The situation is certainly different
today. Still, over the last few weeks, those prophetic words, now 22 years old,
have been haunting me, as the U.S. war machine kicks into ever higher gear
following the horrific Hamas massacre of Israeli civilians and the brutal intensification
of the decades-long Israeli siege of civilians in Gaza. Sadly, the words and
actions of our nation’s leaders have revealed a staggering, even willful,
historical amnesia about the disastrous repercussions of America’s
twenty-first-century war-mongering.
Case in point: recently, the United
States was the only nation to veto the U.N.
Security Council resolution calling for “humanitarian pauses” to deliver
life-saving aid to Palestinians in Gaza. Instead, all but a few
members of Congress are lining up to support billions more in
military aid for Israel and the further mobilization of our armed forces in the
Middle East. These moves, experts
say,
may only accelerate wider regional conflict (something we are already seeing
glimmers of vis-à-vis Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen) at a time of
increasingly profound global instability. In the last few weeks, the U.S.
Navy has “assembled one of the greatest concentrations of power in
the Eastern Mediterranean in 40 years,” while the Department of Defense is readying
thousands of troops for possible deployment. Meanwhile, college
administrators are suggesting student-reservists be
prepared in case they get called up in the coming weeks.
Amid this frenzy of American bluster
and brawn, the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugees reports that Gaza is “fast
becoming a hell hole,” riddled with death, disease, starvation, thirst, and
displacement. Hundreds of scholars of international law and conflict studies
have warned that the Israeli military may already have launched a “potential
genocide” of Gazans. At the same time,
within Israel, citizen-militias, armed
by
the far-right minister of national security, have escalated violent attacks on
Palestinians, only worsened by the acts of armed Israeli settlers on the West
Bank protected by that very military.
Finally allowing a tiny amount of
aid across the Egypt-Gaza border, after shutting
down all food, water, and fuel for Gaza, Israeli Defense
Minister Yoav Gallant made
it clear just how much power the United States wields over this
unfolding humanitarian crisis. “The Americans insisted,” he reported, “and we
are not in a place where we can refuse them. We rely on them for planes and
military equipment. What are we supposed to do? Tell them no?”
As Gallant implied, the U.S. could
use its influence not only to demand far more aid for Gazans,
but to compel quite a different course of action. There should, after all, be
no contradiction between condemning Hamas for its heinous slaughter in the
south of Israel and denouncing Israel for its decades-old dispossession and
oppression of the Palestinian
people and its now-indiscriminate killing and destruction in Gaza.
There need be no contradiction between decrying terrorism and demanding
diplomacy over violence. In truth, the Biden administration could use every
non-military tool at its disposal to pressure both Hamas and Israel to pursue
an immediate ceasefire, the full release of all hostages, and whatever
humanitarian assistance is now needed.
If only, rather than further
militarizing the region or questioning the death toll in Gaza,
the Biden administration were to focus on making this most recent and ever more
ominous crisis a final turning point, not for yet more brutality, but for
a long-term political solution focused on achieving real peace, human rights,
and equality for everyone in the region. In this moment of grief and rage, when
tensions are at a fever pitch and the wheel of history is turning around us,
it’s time to demand peace above all else.

Fighting Billionaires’ Control of
the Media, Individual News Vouchers
by
Dean Baker
Mark Twain famously quipped that
everyone always talks about the weather, but no one ever does anything about
it. (This was before global warming.) In the same vein, it is common for people
to rant about billionaires, like Rupert Murdoch and Elon
Musk, controlling major media outlets and using them to advance their political
whims. But, no one seems to do anything about it.
There is a reason for inaction. For
the foreseeable future, it is hard to envision a political scenario in which
the ability of the rich and very rich to own and control major news outlets
will be restricted. That means that if the goal is to prevent Elon Musk from owning Twitter (or “X,” as he now calls it),
then we will likely be able to do little more than rant. (That is not entirely
true.)
However, we can go the other way. We
may not be able to stop the rich from owning major media outlets, but we can
give a voice to everyone else. This can be done through a system of individual
vouchers, where the government gives each person a sum, say $50, to support the
news outlet of their choice.
One $50 voucher will not go far but
thousands and millions of vouchers can support a lot of people doing
journalism. The billionaires and the news outlets they control may still have
more money, but there will be outlets they don’t control that will have the
resources they need to do serious reporting that has a major impact.

War, Crimes, Truth, and Denial
https://scheerpost.com/2023/11/03/war-crimes-truth-and-denial/
by Arnold Isaacs
This
month’s catastrophic violence in Israel and Gaza — specifically, the
contradictory statements from each side on the other’s war crimes — has taken
me back to a revealing personal moment almost exactly 18 years ago, recalling a
different war in a different part of the world.
That day in the fall of 2005 I was
in Yerevan, Armenia, where I was teaching a post-graduate journalism course at
the state university. In class that morning, my six students, all of them young
women (as was not unusual in that time and place), began discussing the
terrible treatment of young recruits in the Armenian army, where the vicious
hazing that had been notorious in the Soviet armed forces was still common
practice. I don’t remember how the subject came up, but when it did, one
student after another chipped in with chilling tales about male relatives and
friends who had been savagely treated by other soldiers and their superiors.
Just a few hours later, in an
afternoon class with the same six students, someone mentioned Khojaly, the town where, according
to the Azeris, Armenian soldiers massacred some
600 Azeri civilians during the Armenia-Azerbaijan war of 1992. My students
insisted the story must be false because, as one of them said, “Our boys
couldn’t do something like that.”
Only that morning, I reminded them,
they had recalled numerous first-hand accounts of horrible things Armenian
soldiers did to their own young recruits. Maybe the Khojaly
massacre happened, I said, and maybe it didn’t, as
Armenia has long insisted, but given the cruelties you spoke about this morning, how
can you say Armenians couldn’t do
that? For a long silent moment, they looked at me with stunned expressions.
Finally, one of them said, “We can’t think that.”
When I heard her words, I realized
they were probably the all-too-literal truth. Those young women simply couldn’t
think things that didn’t fit the accepted national story about that war, a
feeling far more powerful than facts or logic. In the world they lived in, the
threat from the enemy was the potential extinction of the Armenian people — a
continuation of the attempted genocide of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire
during World War I. Taking the Azeri side on anything, including the “facts” on
Khojaly or any Armenian atrocity, would be
collaborating with the murder of their own people, and that just wasn’t
possible.

In Gaza, the US is an active partner
in genocide
A march in support of the people of Gaza, in the occupied
West Bank city of Nablus, 26 October 2023 (AFP)
by Brad Parker
On 25 October, when confronted with
the escalating Palestinian death
toll and asked if Israel’s Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had ignored his requests to minimise
civilian casualties, President Joe Biden took the opportunity to casually
cast doubt on Palestinian death statistics and declared: “I’m
sure innocents have been killed, and it’s the price of waging a war.”
Biden’s
comments suggest he is completely unconcerned by the scope and scale of
Palestinian civilian harm as a result of Israeli military attacks in Gaza, or the
fact that, day by day, he is actively becoming evermore
complicit in an Israeli military campaign where Israeli forces are killing
Palestinian children with impunity, constituting the crime of genocide.
During the
past 24 days of hostilities, Israeli forces have killed at least 3,542
Palestinian children in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health
in Gaza, with estimates of over 1,050 children reported missing and presumed to
be trapped or dead under the rubble, awaiting rescue or recovery.
During
this same time, Israeli forces have killed 36 Palestinian children in the
occupied West Bank.
To put the
intensity of the current Israeli bombardment into context, Israeli forces in
the past 24 days have killed more than two times the number of Palestinian
children killed in Gaza in all previous Israeli military offensives combined
from January 2006 to 6 October 2023.
Prior to 7
October, my colleagues and I at Defense for Children International – Palestine
(DCIP) had documented and verified a total of 1,171 Palestinian children killed
in Gaza.

House Passes $14.3 Billion in
Military Aid for Israel
https://scheerpost.com/2023/11/03/house-passes-14-3-billion-in-military-aid-for-israel/
by Dave DeCamp
The House
on Thursday passed a bill to provide Israel with $14.3 billion in military aid, a strong show of support for the Israeli onslaught
on Gaza, which has killed over 9,000 people so far.
The
Republican-authored bill would cut funds from the Internal Revenue Service to
pay for Israel’s aid, drawing opposition from Democrats. The bill passed in a
vote of 226-196, with
only 12 Democrats voting in favor. Two Republicans voted against the bill:
Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).
Due to the
IRS cuts, the White House has threatened to veto the bill, and the
Democrat-controlled Senate is working on its own version. Democrats expressed
frustration at the GOP bill, saying it will only delay getting more weapons to
Israel, which already receives $3.8 billion in military aid from the US each
year.

Israeli-US Ethnic Cleansing Plan To Salvage “New Middle East” Model
by Robert Inlakesh
In light of emerging evidence of an
Israeli plot to ethnically cleanse as many as 2.4 million Palestinians from the
Gaza Strip, the U.S. continues to deploy unprecedented reinforcements to the
Mediterranean while steadfastly rejecting the consideration of a humanitarian
pause or ceasefire. Moreover, the origins of the Hamas offensive on October 7
can be traced back decades, entwined with contemporary regional dynamics that
extend far beyond the boundaries of occupied Palestine.
On October
7, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu formally declared war on Hamas in
the Gaza Strip. This declaration was accompanied
by a statement from Israel’s defense minister, Yoav Gallant, in which he mentioned that “there will be no
electricity, no food, no fuel” for the people of Gaza, and he added, “We are
fighting human animals, and we are acting accordingly.” Since that day, the
Israeli leader has consistently
emphasized that this war is expected to be
“long and challenging” and may extend for “months.” When reading between the
lines, the cutoff of medical aid, water, and food supplies to Gaza’s civilian
population, a situation noted by
the International Criminal Court (ICC),
not only falls within the court’s jurisdiction as a potential crime but could
also be interpreted as an attempt to commit genocide.
In their
stated goal of eradicating Hamas, the Israeli government has yet to provide a
clear vision of what a victory would entail. Therefore, we must examine the
available evidence of Israel’s actions and ongoing discussions about how this
conflict might ultimately come to a close.
According
to some figures, over 9,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli airstrikes
in the Gaza Strip, while the Palestinian Ministry of Health (MOH) reports that
around 70% of the casualties have been women, children and the elderly.
Medicine, food and clean drinking water have been prevented from entering Gaza,
as the Israeli army has not yet made a significant dent in the military
capabilities of Hamas. The United States government has supported Israel’s
actions by using its veto power at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC)
to block two ceasefire resolutions and by providing munitions and diplomatic
and logistical assistance to the Israeli military. Additionally, Israel has
initiated a ground incursion, which, as of now, has been limited to open areas
and has largely avoided densely populated regions.

The Pine Gap U.S. surveillance base
located outside of Alice Springs in Australia is collecting an enormous range
of communications and electronic intelligence from the brutal Gaza-Israel
battlefield — and this data is being provided to the Israel Defence
Forces.
Two large
Orion geosynchronous signals intelligence satellites, belonging to the U.S. and

Israel Declares Most of Humanity
Illegitimate and Irrelevant
by Ann Garrison
After 120 members of the 193 members of the UN General
Assembly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, Israel demonstrated its
increasing isolation by declaring the UN illegitimate and irrelevant.
Both the
UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly continue to grapple with the
Israel/Hamas War, also known as the Gaza War, with the Security Council
deadlocked and the General Assembly demanding an immediate ceasefire.
On
Tuesday, October 25, Russia, Sudan, and Venezuela introduced a UN
Security Council resolution calling for an immediate
ceasefire. The US introduced a competing
resolution which called for humanitarian
pauses to let aid into Gaza, but not for a ceasefire.
The
Russian resolution failed because it did not win the two-thirds majority
required to pass, and the US resolution failed because Russia and China, both
of which have veto power on the Council, voted against it, as did the United
Arab Emirates.
After the
US resolution failed, China explained that it had voted against it because it
considered it a green light to Israel. This is an English translation:
“The draft resolution is evasive on the most urgent
issue of ending the fighting. And it has never been able to call for an
immediate ceasefire in clear and unambiguous terms. At this moment, ceasefire
is not only a diplomatic term, it means the life and
death of many civilians. If a resolution from the Security Council is ambiguous
on the issue of war and peace, it's irresponsible, and it's also extremely
dangerous. It is tantamount to paving the way for large-scale military action
and giving the green light to further escalation of the war.”
China also
objected that the US resolution denied Israel’s longstanding occupation of Palestine, and that it:
- did NOT
condemn the indiscriminate and asymmetrical use of force,
- did NOT
call for a full, independent investigation of the bombing of the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza,
- did NOT
call on Israel to lift the blockade of Gaza, and,
- did NOT
call on Israel to rescind its order to Northern Gazans
to evacuate to Southern Gaza.
Does Palestine have a right to
defend itself?
The week
before these two resolutions were considered, the US vetoed a Brazilian
resolution calling for humanitarian
pauses—even though it condemned Hamas—because it did not assert Israel’s right
to defend itself.
In its own
failed resolution, the US “reaffirms the inherent right of all States to
individual and collective self defense,” and the US and its vassals constantly
reiterate that Israel therefore has the right to defend itself. They don’t add
that Palestine is not a UN member state, that it’s simply a “non-member
observer state,” so the UN Charter doesn’t clearly guarantee its right to
defend itself. That is the implication, but it wouldn’t sound good if spoken
out loud.

More than 40 per cent of Sir Keir Starmer’s cabinet has been funded by pro-Israel
groups, a new report revealed today.
According to an investigation by Declassified
UK, 13 of the 31 members of Labour’s shadow cabinet
have received donations from a prominent pro-Israel lobby group or individual
funder.
Donations have been received by Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, his deputy Angela Rayner,
shadow foreign secretary David Lammy, and
shadow international development minister Lisa Nandy.
More than half of the cabinet
are listed as supporters or officers of Labour
Friends of Israel (LFI).
According to Declassified UK, the donations
were provided by LFI and Sir Trevor Chinn, a “philanthropist” active in
numerous pro-Israel organisations such as the Joint
Israel Appeal.

Sir Trevor donated £50,000 to Sir Keir’s 2020 leadership bid, and a total of £200,000 to the
shadow cabinet.
While LFI does not publicly reveal its
funders, a 2017 Al Jazeera documentary exposed its
close ties to the Israeli embassy. It is known for taking MPs on “fact-finding”
trips to Israel.
Shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves
received some £17,000 to travel to the country.
Declassified UK noted that only four of the
79 MPs who are listed as LFI supporters have signed an Early Day Motion (EDM)
calling for “an immediate de-escalation and cessation of hostilities.”
No members of the shadow cabinet signed the

Washington Post Lifts the Veil on
CIA’s Shadow War Against Russia Waged Since 2014
by Jeremy Kuzmarov
In August
2022, Ukrainian security service (SBU) operatives hid explosives in a crate
intended for a cat in a car driven by a woman and her twelve year old daughter.
After the car passed through the Russian border, the SBU planted the bomb in

who was tragically killed.[1]
According
to a new exposé in The

in which Ukraine’s spy services have twice bombed the bridge connecting Russia
to occupied Crimea, piloted drones into the roof of the Kremlin, and blown
holes in the hulls of Russian naval vessels in the Black Sea.[2]

Meet the Russians
https://www.corbettreport.com/meet-the-russians/
by James Corbett
Here's a
simple observation: when knowledgeable Americans discuss American politics,
they can talk in detail about the various fault lines in the American
government.
They can
expound at great length on the Squad's role in influencing the policies of the
Democratic Party, for example.
And they
can assess the policy proposals of various third-party candidates.
And they
can detail the history of the turf battles between the FBI and the CIA or tell
you how the FBI under Hoover differed from the FBI under Mueller.
And, if
they're really informed, they can even discuss the role of Citibank or Goldman
Sachs or BlackRock in picking the Cabinet of this or that administration and identify the
various vested interests that are served by placing, say, Tom Vilsack in the role of Secretary of
Agriculture.
Likewise,
Canadians will be able to opine on the deeper political significance of Pierre Poilievre munching
on an apple.
And
Japanese will be able to wax eloquent on the LDP's war on the
fax machine.
But ask
any of these people about the politics of a foreign country and suddenly everyone will begin talking as if
factions, intrigues, infighting and other verities of government don't exist in
that faraway land. Instead, that foreign country is a political monolith that
can be reduced to a single person.
Case in
point: ask the average American on the street what they think about Russia's
government. "Russian politics? You mean Putin,
right?"
Ditto
China. "What do I know about the Chinese government? Well, I know that Xi
. . ."
This is
precisely how we arrive at the stuck-on-stupid of an "independent"
media that portrays Xi and Putin as the multipolar saviours of the coming global world order. Even if it were
true that Xi and Putin were
opponents of the globalist plan rather than willing conspirators in it
(SPOILER: they're
conspirators), there's the false implication
that Putin is Russia or Xi is China.
Imagine a
Russian citizen believing that the entirety of American politics could be
boiled down to what Biden thinks about any particular issue. That's how stupid
such a "Leader=Country" mentality is.
Newsflash:
foreign countries are complex places with all the competing interests,
bureaucratic turf wars, infighting, backstabbing and palace intrigues that you
find in your own country!

Russia’s neutrality ballet on
Israel-Palestine
by Pepe
Escobar
Russian President, Vladimir Putin,
recently criticized Israel’s treatment of Gaza, comparing their actions to WWII
sieges
Is it
possible that the philo-Semitic Russian President
Vladimir Putin is slowly but surely re-evaluating his geopolitical assessment
of Israel? To call this the key riddle in Moscow’s corridors of power is
actually an understatement.
There are
no outward signs of such a seismic shift – at least when it comes to the
officially “neutral” Russian position on the intractable Israel-Palestine
drama.
Except for
one stunning statement last Friday at the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Summit in
Bishkek, when Putin blasted Israel’s “cruel methods” employed to blockade Gaza,
and compared it with “the siege of Leningrad during World War Two.”
“That’s
unacceptable,” declared the Russian president, and warned that when all of
Gaza’s 2.2 million civilians “have to suffer, including women and children,
it’s hard
for anyone to agree with this.”
Putin’s comments may have been one hint at the changes underway in the
frustratingly opaque Russia-Israel relationship. A close second is this very important article published last Friday on Vzglyad, a
security strategy website close to the Kremlin, diplomatically titled “Why
Russia remains neutral in the conflict in the Middle East.”
It’s
crucial to note that only six months ago and mirroring a near consensus among
Russia’s intelligence community, Vzglyad editors were
calling for Moscow to shift its considerable political weight toward supporting
the number one issue for the Arab and Islamic worlds.
To Support Independent
Media: People For
Global Justice – Since 2001
The
article noted the key points Putin voiced in Bishkek: there’s no alternative to
negotiations; Tel Aviv was subjected to a brutal attack and has the right to
defend itself; a real settlement is possible only via an independent
Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem.
The Russian
president favors the UN’s original “two states” solution and believes that a
Palestinian state should be established “by peaceful means.” But, as much as
the conflict was “a direct result of the failed policy of the
United States in the Middle East,” Putin rejects Tel Aviv’s plans to launch a
ground operation in Gaza.
This
qualified hedging is certainly not evidence of Putin swinging to what is a near
consensus among the General Staff, the
siloviki in several intel
agencies, and his ministry of defense: They consider that Israel may be a de
facto enemy of the Russian Federation, allied with Ukraine, the US and NATO.

U.S. Quietly Expands Secret
Military Base in Israel
by Ken Klippenstein,
Daniel Boguslaw
Two months
before Hamas attacked Israel, the Pentagon awarded a multimillion-dollar
contract to build U.S. troop facilities for a secret base it maintains deep
within Israel’s Negev desert, just 20 miles from Gaza. Code-named “Site 512,”
the longstanding U.S. base is a radar facility that monitors the skies for
missile attacks on Israel.
On October
7, however, when thousands of Hamas rockets were launched, Site 512 saw nothing
— because it is focused on Iran, more than 700 miles away.
The U.S.
Army is quietly moving ahead with construction at Site 512, a classified base
perched atop Mt. Har Qeren
in the Negev, to include what government records describe as a “life support
facility”: military speak for barracks-like structures for personnel.
Though
President Joe Biden and the White House insist that there
are no plans to send U.S. troops to Israel amid its war on Hamas, a secret U.S.
military presence in Israel already exists. And the government contracts and
budget documents show it is evidently growing.

History: Palestine, Dilemmas of
Decolonization
https://www.globalresearch.ca/palestine-dilemmas-decolonization/5839029
by Stephen Sefton
After its defeat in the First World War the territories of
the Ottoman Empire in Syria (today Syria and Lebanon), Mesopotamia (today Iraq)
and Palestine were divided in 1920 between France and Great Britain by means of
the San Remo Conference, under the authority of the League of Nations. The
British Mandate over Palestine incorporated the Balfour Declaration of 1917,
under which the British government had undertaken, in a completely arbitrary
manner, to establish a Jewish national state on the territory of Palestine. 30
years after the Balfour Declaration, on November 29th 1947, the United Nations
General Assembly passed Resolution 181 authorizing the partition of Palestine
and thus emerged the state of Israel. There was no democratic consultation
process with the native Arab population of Palestine, which at that time
numbered twice the Jewish population.
At the
time of the vote, only 56 member countries of the UN participated, while the UN
now has 193 member countries. Of those 56 countries, 33 voted in favor of the
resolution, 13 countries, mainly Arab countries, voted against and 10 countries
abstained. Precisely at the beginning of the era of decolonization in the majority
world, the United Nations Organization, dominated by the imperialist powers,
created a colonial state based on a supremacist ideology, Zionism, with a
government determined to expel the Arab population to ensure a Jewish majority.
Even before the end of the British Mandate on May 15, 1948, the Zionist forces
had initiated an ethnic cleansing of more than 200,000 people of the Arab
population by applying tactics of terrorism and massacre.

In the current context, Israel’s “All Goes to

The ultimate objective is not only to
exclude Palestinians from their homeland,

“Scientists
Lied, People Died”
with Paul Thacker and Michael Nevradakis
(59:07)
Four years after COVID-19 made its
debut in the mainstream media, much has been uncovered about its genesis.
Terms, such as ‘Wuhan’ and ‘gain-of-function’ and ‘lab-leak theory,’ have
spread like an infection among the public, becoming commonplace in legislative
hearings, lawsuits, universities, at dinner tables, on social media and beyond.
In the meantime, investigative journalist Paul Thacker has refused to shy away
from this controversial topic and as a result, dug up important and shocking
information that has contributed to the discussion on COVID’s origins. He joins
Michael Nevradakis on CHD.TV’s ‘Defender In-Depth’ to
share the details.

“Lies and secrets”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Qt9ILENJGU
by Dr. John Campbell
(16:48)
I will
never forget what happened to me and my family during that time. My wifes side of the family came unglued on me and my wife. We
were shamed, yelled at, uninvited to many family gatherings and to top it all
off, laid off from both of our jobs. We have two young children and we still
managed to survive. We had the balls to fight for what we believed was
deception and a trap. My wife looked over at me and we both nodded to each
other as this was happening and stayed strong.....We will continue to stay
strong, and prep for the next wave of crap that will be strung our way. I am thankful
for this channel as Dr. Campbell seems to follow the facts and not just his
feelings.
