For reasons
that will probably never be explained, the judges in the Julian Assange hearing last week decided to limit remote access to
reporters covering the case only to those physically on English or Welsh soil.
Accredited
journalists anywhere in the world were given remote video access to cover both Assange’s September 2020 extradition hearing and the 2021
U.S. appeal in the High Court. This is how Consortium News covered those two court appearances.
But this time
if you weren’t in England or Wales (in other words within the High Court’s
jurisdiction) you couldn’t cover the hearing. That shut out reporters in
Australia and the U.S. who have a special interest in the case.
Fortunately Consortium News had long planned
to be in London for the hearing.
My hotel was
three blocks from the Royal Courts of Justice, a five-minute walk away, where
the Strand turns into Fleet Street. As I approached the courthouse on Tuesday
morning at around 8:45 for Day One, Jeremy Corbyn was
addressing the crowd.
Nearly 1,000 Assange supporters flooded the street, causing a double
wall of yellow-vested cops to open a path into and out of the court.

It’s been just two months into 2024 and it already
seems that the world is falling apart.
France
Last week began with French President Emmanuel
Macron effectively calling for the deployment
of NATO ground troops to Ukraine. His Prime Minister Gabriel Attal
supported the idea, although both conceded there’s no consensus on the matter.
France’s involvement might be multifaceted, including both the conflict in West
Africa and French personnel already in Ukraine. Namely, in mid-January, Moscow obliterated at least 60 French mercenaries in
Kharkov, which could partially explain Macron’s rather emotional reaction.
However, this certainly isn’t the only possible
reason for Paris to get so much invested in directly supporting the Neo-Nazi
junta.
French interests in Africa primarily revolve around
maintaining the extremely exploitative neocolonialist
system that ensures the continued extraction of African natural resources.
United
Kingdom
With Russia firmly standing behind the forces that are
deconstructing this system, France has the additional motivation to get directly involved in
Ukraine, which transcends its mere subservience to Anglo-American geopolitical
interests. This leads to another point – British involvement. Namely, just two
days after Macron’s rather shocking statements, the United Kingdom effectively bragged about helping the Kiev regime forces fight
the Russian military.
This includes the direct involvement of the UK’s
General Staff, headed by Admiral Tony Radakin, in the
destruction of Russian naval assets, primarily targeted against the Black Sea
Fleet. Radakin also seems to have been involved in
other covert operations in Ukraine, all aimed at diminishing Russian
capabilities. And just when one would think that it couldn’t possibly get
worse, it turned out Germany is also involved.

the UK ONS for producing a number of time-series cohort analyses which looked
at vaccinated and unvaccinated people over time since vaccination to determine
whether or not the COVID vaccines are safe. These can be found at “Deaths by
Vaccination Status, England” on the ONS website.
Unfortunately,
the parameters chosen by the Authority are insufficient to make a dispositive
determination as to whether the vaccines are “safe and effective” or not
because the interval sizes were too few and too large. The UK Statistics
Regulator agrees and said,
“Our view is
that the Deaths by Vaccination Status publication
does not provide information on vaccine effectiveness or vaccine safety and
should not be used in this way.”

Arguably, no
one has been more active in promoting and funding research on vaccines aimed at
dealing with coronavirus than Bill Gates and the Bill
and Melinda Gates Foundation. From sponsoring a simulation of a coronavirus global pandemic, just weeks before the Wuhan
outbreak was announced, to funding numerous corporate efforts to come up with a
novel vaccine for the apparently novel virus, the Gates presence is there. What
does it actually entail?
We must admit
that at the very least Bill Gates is prophetic. He has claimed for years that a
global killer pandemic will come and that we are not prepared for it. On March
18, 2015 Gates gave a TED talk on epidemics in Vancouver. That day he wrote on
his blog, “I just gave a brief talk on a subject that I’ve been learning a lot
about lately—epidemics. The Ebola outbreak in West Africa is a tragedy—as I
write this, more than 10,000 people have died.” Gates then added, “As awful as
this epidemic has been, the next one could be much worse. The world is simply
not prepared to deal with a disease—an especially virulent flu, for
example—that infects large numbers of people very quickly. Of all the things
that could kill 10 million people or more, by far the most likely is an epidemic.”
That same year, 2015, Bill Gates wrote an article for the New England Journal of Medicine titled,
“The Next Epidemic: Lessons from Ebola.” There he spoke of a special class of
drugs that “involves giving patients a set of particular RNA-based constructs
that enables them to produce specific proteins(including antibodies).Although
this is a very new area, it is promising because it is possible that a safe
therapy could be designed and put into large-scale manufacture fairly rapidly.
More basic research as well as the progress of companies like Moderna and CureVac could
eventually make this approach a key tool for stopping epidemics.” Moderna and CureVac both today
receive funds from the Gates Foundation and are leading the race to develop an
approved COVID-19 vaccine based on mRNA.

The topic of
COVID-19 vaccine shedding has long been controversial, but now, some doctors
say it is real. “Shedding is unfortunately real,” said Dr. Pierre Kory at the
Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) conference in Phoenix,
Arizona, in early February. “The FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) knows
that.” Dr. Kory is a co-founder of the FLCCC, a non-profit
advocacy group founded by physicians for the treatment of COVID-19, long COVID,
and postvaccine syndromes. He is also the
co-founder of the Leading Edge Clinic and has treated over a thousand
long-COVID and postvaccine patients.
Mainstream
fact-checkers have largely denied shedding on the basis of definition. The
commonly cited definition comes from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) website, which defines shedding as the release of viruses,
bacteria, and their components from live vaccines. While mRNA and adenovirus
vaccines are not live vaccines, they function similarly to gene therapy
products. All gene therapy products pose a risk of shedding, according to the
FDA.
FDA
Documents: In a 2015 document titled Design and Analysis of Shedding Studies
for Virus or Bacteria-Based Gene Therapy and Oncolytic
Products, the FDA defines shedding as “the release of [viral or bacterial gene
therapy products] ... from the patient through one or all of the following
ways: excreta (feces); secreta (urine, saliva,
nasopharyngeal fluids etc.); or through the skin (pustules, sores, wounds).”
The COVID-19
mRNA and adenovirus vaccines fall into this category. They mediate their
effects by inducing the body to translate mRNA genetic information into spike
proteins. Some gene therapy products known to shed include an eye treatment
branded as Luxturna. Luxturna
uses an adenovirus carrier to deliver eye protein DNA to retina cells in
patients.
The Luxturna adenovirus and its DNA have been found in
patients’ tears, according to the product’s package insert. Similarly, mRNA and
adenovirus COVID-19 vaccines may cause vaccinated patients to release spike
proteins or other vaccine components, Dr. Kory explained.
For example,
COVID-19 mRNA has been found in the breast milk of vaccinated mothers,
indicating possible exposure of the vaccine to infants. Another study showed
that spike protein, the product of COVID-19 vaccination, can last for at least
half a year in the blood of vaccinated individuals, indicating prolonged spike
protein persistence. The FDA, however, denied that the 2015 document applies to
COVID mRNA vaccines.
“COVID-19
vaccines are not regulated as gene therapy products by the FDA; therefore, the
guidance document cited is not applicable to the COVID-19 vaccines,” an FDA
spokeswoman said.

There are
several dimensions to the Mosquito Crisis. The Project is Funded
by Bill Gates.
Inside a
two-story brick building in Medellín, Colombia,
scientists work in muggy labs breeding 30 million genetically modified
mosquitoes weekly in labs.
They tend to
the insects’ every need as they grow from larvae to pupae to adults, keeping
the temperature just right and feeding them generous helpings of fishmeal,
sugar, and, of course, blood. They are then released into the wild in 11
countries.
Billionaire
Bill Gates, who is funding the project, assures us it’s not a scene from a
horror movie.
“The factory
is real. And the mosquitoes that are released do not terrorize the locals. They
help save and improve millions of lives.”
Just as his ‘covid vaccines’ have ‘saved’ millions of lives or his’ previous vaccination
projects have left thousands of women sterile in India and
Kenya. Or even his Polio vaccines have caused paralysis, seizure, and febrile
convulsions in Sub-Saharan Africa, Afghanistan, Congo, and the
Philippines.

Despite
strong resident protests, the US Environmental Protection Agency and Florida
agencies have approved controversial release of millions of
genetically-modified or “gene edited” killer mosquitoes into the Florida Keys.
At the same time the controversial Presidential Science Adviser nominee of
Biden is involved in development of the CRISPR technology being used to
genetically modify everything from the mosquitoes to the Pfizer and Moderna coronavirus mRNA
“vaccines” to gene-edited salmon. How Bill Gates, the Pentagon and the eugenics
lobby come together now is alarming to put it mildly.
On April 30
the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District and the Oxitec
biotechnology company announced they will begin release of what will ultimately
be some 750 million genetically manipulated or gene-edited Aedes
Aegypti mosquitos using
CRSPR gene editing technology. The Aedes Aegypti makes up only about 4% of the mosquito population
in the Keys. The release is bitterly opposed by residents and environmental
groups who demanded a referendum in last year’s election ballot, but which the
Mosquito Control Board refused, curiously. Oxitec and
the Board claim the release is to kill off the presence of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito which is
believed to carry dengue fever, Zika and other diseases.
The project, which sounds positive in the press statements, is alarming
in many respects. First, the refusal to allow a citizen vote
on the controversial GMO release. Second, there exists no cost-benefit analysis
of the risks versus benefits of releasing millions of mosquitoes whose genetic
traits are mutating in often unpredictable ways. Is it worth the risk that an
ever more robust variety of mosquito will mutate from the project? No one can
say. Traditional mosquito control techniques have worked well until now.
The CEO of Oxitec, Grey Frandsen,
has a dark history with the US State Department in the Balkans, as an advisor
to the US Navy, and as a Fellow of the George Soros’ International Crisis Group
that played a key role in the destruction of Yugoslavia in the 1990s. With no
previous experience in biotechnology, Frandsen
appears as CEO of Oxitec in 2017. Oxitec,
a UK company, is now owned by Third Security, a US venture capital firm in
Radford, Virginia headed by Randal J. Kirk who also owns the
gene-edited salmon producer, AquaBounty.

took power in 2015, policies favorable to the formation of a technocratic

outlook is a far cry from the “old school Liberal party” of the post-WWII

operation created to re-organize today’s Liberal government is called Canada 2020, this think
tank (formed in 2003) is merely the most recent manifestation of a systematic
foreign takeover which goes back to 1933… and I’m not talking about the
Russians or Chinese.
This takeover has been led by an operation called the
Round Table movement and it’s
sister organization the Fabian Society. In volume four of The Untold
History of Canada, that story is told at some length.
Over the
course of the past century, technocratic planning conferences have been
instrumental in guiding this process geared towards Borg-like assimilation of
target nation states into a homogeneous blob, and in this short essay I will
outline two major examples as it applies to the Round Table/Fabian takeover of
Canada…

Since the Hamas raid penetrated the multi-tiered Israeli border security on October 7, 2023 (an unexplained collapse of Israel’s defensive capabilities), 2.3 million utterly defenseless Palestinians in the tiny crowded Gaza enclave have been on the receiving end of over 65,000 bombs/missiles plus non-stop tank shelling and snipers.

The relentless bombing has destroyed apartment buildings, marketplaces, refugee camps, hospitals, clinics, ambulances, bakeries, schools, mosques, churches, roads, electricity networks, critical water mains – just about everything.
The U.S.-equipped Israeli war machine has even uprooted agricultural fields, including thousands of olive trees on one farm, bulldozed many cemeteries and bombed civilians fleeing on Israeli orders, while obstructing the few trucks carrying humanitarian aid from Egypt.
With virtually no healthcare left, no medications, and infectious diseases spreading especially among infants, children, the infirm and the elderly, can anybody believe that the fatalities have just gone over 30,000? With five thousand babies born every month into the rubble, their mothers wounded and without food, healthcare, medicine and clean water for any of their children, severe skepticism about the Hamas Health Ministry’s official count is warranted.
Netanyahu and Hamas, which he helped over the years, have a common interest in lowballing the death/injury toll. But for different reasons. Hamas keeps the figures low to reduce being accused by its own people of not protecting them, and not building shelters. Hamas grossly underestimated the savage war crimes by the vengeful, occupying Israeli military superpower fully and unconditionally backed by the U.S. military superpower.
The Health Ministry is intentionally conservative, citing that its death toll came from reports only of named deceased by hospitals and morgues. But as the weeks turned into months, blasted, disabled hospitals and morgues cannot keep up with the bodies, or cannot count those slain laying on roadsides in alleys and beneath building debris. Yet the Health Ministry remains conservative and the “official,” rising civilian fatality and injury count continues to be uncritically reported by both friend and foe of this devastating Israeli state terrorism.
It was especially astonishing to see the most progressive groups and writers routinely use the same Hamas Health Ministry figures as did the governments and outside groups backing the one-sided war on Gaza. All this despite predictions of a human catastrophe in the Gaza Strip almost every day since October 7, 2023, by arms of the United Nations, other besieged international relief agencies on the ground, eyewitness accounts by medical personnel, and many Israeli human rights groups and brave local journalists in that Strip, the geographic size of Philadelphia. (Unguided Western and Israeli reporters and journalists are not allowed to enter Gaza by the Israeli government.) US Congress: Reject Bill to Support Forced Israeli Displacement of Palestinians to Third Countries
Then came the December 29, 2023, opinion piece in The Guardian by the Chair of Global Public Health at the University of Edinburgh, Devi Sridhar. She predicted half a million deaths in 2024 if conditions continue unabated. (See her piece here).
In recent days, the situation has become more dire. In the March 2, 2024, Washington Post reporter, Ishaan Tharoor writes:
“The bulk of Gaza’s more than 2 million people face the prospect of famine — a state of affairs that constitutes the fastest decline in a population’s nutrition status ever recorded, according to aid workers. Children are starving at the fastest rate the world has ever known. Aid groups have been pointing to Israel restricting the flow of assistance into the territory as a major driver of the crisis. Some prominent Israeli officials openly champion stymying these transfers of aid.”
Tharoor quotes Jan Egeland, chief of the Norwegian Refugee Council:
“We must be clear: civilians in Gaza are falling sick from hunger and thirst because of Israel’s entry restrictions.” “Life-saving supplies are being intentionally blocked, and women and children are paying the price.”
Martin Griffiths, the United Nations lead humanitarian officer, said
“Life is draining out of Gaza at terrifying speed.”
U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres, according to the Post, warned of an
“‘unknown number of people’ – believed to be in the tens of thousands – lying under the rubble of buildings brought down by Israeli strikes.”
Volker Turk, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights, said
“All people in Gaza are at imminent risk of famine. Almost all are drinking salty and contaminated water. Health care across the territory is barely functioning.”
“Just imagine what this means for the wounded, and people suffering infectious-disease outbreaks. …many are already believed to be starving.”
UNICEF, the International Rescue Committee, the Palestinian Red Crescent, and Doctors Without Borders are all relating that the same catastrophic conditions are getting worse fast.
Yet, and get this, in this article, the Post still stuck with the “more than 30,000 people in Gaza have been killed since the ongoing war began.”
Just like the entire mass media, many governments, even the independent media and critics of the war would have us accept that between 98% and 99% of Gaza’s entire population has survived – albeit the sick, injured and more Palestinians about to die. This is lethally improbable!
From accounts of people on the ground, videos and photographs of deadly episode after episode, plus the resultant mortalities from blocking or smashing the crucial necessities of life, a more likely estimate, in my appraisal, is that at least 200,000 Palestinians must have perished by now and the toll is accelerating by the hour.
Imagine Americans, if this powerful U.S.-made weaponry was fired on the besieged, homeless, trapped people of Philadelphia, do you think that only 30,000 of that city’s 1.5 million people would have been killed?
Daily circumstantial evidence of the deliberate Israeli targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructures requires more reliable epidemiological estimates of casualties.
It matters greatly whether the aggregate toll so far, and counting, is three, four, five, six times more than the Health Ministry’s undercount. It matters for elevating the urgency for a permanent ceasefire, and direct and massive humanitarian aid by the U.S. and other countries, bypassing the sadistic cruelty against innocent families of the Israeli siege. It matters for the columnists and editorial writers who have been self-censoring themselves, with some, like the Post’s Charles Lane fictionally claiming that Israel’s military doesn’t “intentionally target civilians.” It matters for accountability under international law.
Above all, it lets weak Secretary of State Antony Blinken and duplicitous President Joe Biden be less servile when Netanyahu dismisses the low death toll by taunting them: what about Dresden, Hiroshima and Nagasaki?
As a percentage of the total population being killed, Gaza can expose the Israeli ruling racist extremists to a stronger rebuttal for ending U.S. co-belligerent complicity in this never-to-be-forgotten slaughter of mostly children and women. (The terrifying PTSD on civilians, especially children will continue for years.)
Respecting the more accurate casualty toll of Palestinian children, mothers and fathers presses harder for permanent ceasefires and the process of recovery and reparations for the survivors of their Holocaust.

Millions of
people took to the streets around the world on March 2nd in solidarity with the
people of Gaza as Israel is reportedly preparing an invasion of Rafah later this week, just before the start of Ramadan. In
New York City, Havana, Albuquerque, Caracas, British Columbia, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul and beyond, the massive day of mobilization shows that
the movement against the Israeli genocide in Palestine will not slow down until
the attacks are over.
Even the
Democratic Party is being forced to shift its rhetoric in the face of mounting
pressure, though it remains steadfast in its support for Israel. Biden’s recent
statements about increasing aid to Gaza, and Kamala Harris’ comment that we
need an “immediate cease-fire for at least six weeks” come while the U.S.
continues to veto ceasefire resolutions in the UN. But new surveys show that
more than two thirds of the people in the U.S. support the call for a
permanent ceasefire and de-escalation of violence.
And in a
brand Center for Economic and Policy Research/YouGov
study, 62 percent of respondents who voted for President Biden in 2020 agree with the statement, “The U.S.
should stop weapons shipments to Israel until Israel discontinues its attacks
on the people of Gaza.”

For more than
1000 Years, 800 -1948, the Muslim Arab was the primary demographic of Palestine
from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea, with only a minority Jewish
presence. It was essentially a Muslim country in the centre of the Muslim
Middle East. These are well documented facts that are not in dispute. Neither
is it in dispute that there was a Jewish/Hebrew settlement prior to that period
i.e. from approximately 2000 BC which was subsequently dispersed into the
global diaspora.
Given these
facts that are documented, how is it possible for Israel to maintain there is
no valid Palestinian Arab claim to the land from the River to the Sea?
Most Jewish
Israelis are not indigenous to the area – but immigrant settlers from Europe,
America, North Africa and Iran, etc. whilst most Palestinian Arabs, have been
born and bred in their homeland, for over a millennium.
Given the
above facts, which are admitted, why does the UK approve of the mass killing of
more than 30,000 mainly unarmed civilians in Gaza by American-armed, Israeli
troops?
It is one of
the greatest travesties of justice, morality and humanity, of the modern
age.
Now is the
moment to rectify the wrong.
The mass
killings must stop. Now!
The
perpetrators must be indicted for war crimes. . . . .

Second World War, Britain has remained
the unflinching junior partner of US imperialism.
The latest Anglo-American bombing campaign in Yemen is no
exception.
British
aggression towards Yemen, however, predates US designs. It is rooted in the
twin practices of piracy and colonialism on which the British empire itself was built.
The current
attitudes of the British and the Yemenis towards each other are still shaped by
the legacy of this violent history. Its shadow looms large over the strategies
employed by western imperialism to conduct maritime warfare in our times. The
lessons of this history inform contemporary Yemeni resistance.
Like their US
counterparts, British officials are keen to justify their current bombardment
of Yemen by claiming it protects international shipping from "rogue"
elements, such as the Ansar Allah movement, known in
the media as the Houthis.
Couching
their imperialist actions in the language of upholding international law,
safeguarding global stability, and seeking economic prosperity is the outcome
of a long historical process of empire-building that began with the exact opposite
behaviour.

Residents of
Yemen’s capital city of Sanaa endured another
harrowing night last Saturday as American and British aircraft dropped bombs on
an insecticide manufacturer in a dense residential neighborhood. In the wake of
the airstrikes, MintPress News reporter Ahmed AbdulKareem went to the Al-Nahda
neighborhood in the center of the city, where a fire rising dozens of meters
into the air illuminated nearby homes.
There, he
found a chaotic scene eerily reminiscent of those now regularly seen in Gaza in
the wake of Israeli raids. Rubble, broken windows, scattered and burned
furniture, and women and children fleeing their homes to no particular place.
“Bomb us more… we still won’t let any Israeli ship cross,” an angry resident
shouted as the press descended upon the scene.
That same
night in the western cities of Haifan and Shami, at least one civilian was killed, and six members of
a single family were wounded in a separate spate of American airstrikes. Scenes
like this are repeated on a near-daily basis in the war-torn country, yet
Yemenis seem to be more committed than ever to the Palestinian cause.
As the
genocide in Gaza continues to unfold and Western airstrikes targeting the
Yemeni mainland increase, a new phase of escalation in the Red Sea has begun.
In unprecedented numbers, Yemeni citizens took to the streets in 120 governorates last Friday
to demand an escalation of attacks against the United States, the UK and
Israel. Chants of “We demand escalation” echoed in unison throughout the
massive crowds.
Abdul Wahab Al-Khair,
a well-known Yemeni legal expert and activist based in
Sana’a, told MintPress that decision-makers need to
respond preemptively to public opinion to stop the U.S. attacks and the
genocide in Gaza alike, telling MintPress,
Crowds numbering in the millions take to the streets weekly. I took the
streets myself to call upon the Yemeni revolutionary, political and military
leadership to hit Israel and impose a complete blockade on it by preventing Israeli
ships – or those heading to Israel – from crossing the Bab
al-Mandab, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. We also
call upon the Yemeni armed forces to hit U.S. and British forces in the Red Sea
as well. We are ready for a direct ground confrontation. Only Americans bear
responsibility.”
Al-Khair argues that Yemenis see action taken
in support of Gaza as the legitimate will of the people supportedby Yemen’s
democratically elected parliament, which approved a law prohibiting
the recognition of, and normalization with, Israel on December 5, 2023. A separate
bill that was recently passed classifies certain countries, entities, and
persons as hostile to the Republic of Yemen. The law aims to identify and seek
legal and military recourse against actors that threaten the sovereignty of the
Republic of Yemen. Perhaps not surprisingly, the United States, Britain, and
Israel have been classified as hostile actors under the law.
Al-Khair sees the issue as a legal one, telling MintPress,
Yemen, as a
country bordering the Bab al-Mandab
Strait, has the right to exercise its sovereignty and jurisdiction over the
waterway and it has the right to impose laws and regulations regarding which
foreign ships can cross. Yemen has the right to prevent ships of war or those
used for the military purposes of a state or entity hostile to Yemen. It is not
permissible to demand the release of a ship detained within the jurisdiction of
Yemen that was taken to port to be investigated by authorities.”
Al-Khair argues that Yemen’s de facto blockade of Israeli
interests in the Red Sea is entirely consistent with international and
humanitarian law, conventions and treaties regarding the right to self-defense.
Furthermore, he argues, joint defense between Yemen and other Arab countries,
including Palestine, is enshrined in the
Treaty of Joint Arab Defense and Economic Cooperation, signed in 1950 by
members of the Arab League.
Indeed, it
seems as though the cries of Yemeni protesters have been heard by decision-makers
in Sana’a. Ansar Allah leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi announced in a
televised speech last Thursday that Yemen
would escalate the severity and scope of its operations against Israel and the
United States in the Red Sea to a level not seen since hostilities began after
October 7, 2023, when Israel’s war on Gaza began.

Palestine’s
Arab neighbors seem to have taken a bold stance on Israel’s genocide of Gaza in
a public show of solidarity with Palestinians. But behind those strong words,
states like Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE are quietly assisting
Israel.
These four
nations are working together to circumvent the actions of one of the few
regional actors who are challenging Israel concretely: Yemen’s Ansar Allah. In a bid to alleviate pressure on Israel from
the Ansar Allah (a.k.a the Houthi) blockade of the Red Sea, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and
Jordan have established land corridors, ensuring cargo
destined for the apartheid state arrives safely in Israeli
hands.
According to Hebrew Channel 13, Israeli-linked cargo ships arrive in the
UAE to unload goods. Trucks then transport these goods through UAE and Saudi
highways to Jordan. They eventually reach Israel via the Jordan River Crossing.
German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd announcedthat it was
working with Saudi Arabia and the UAE to create a land route “bypassing the Houthis,” which connects ports in the UAE and the Saudi
port of Jeddah facilitating cargo movement to Israel through the Suez Canal.
Egypt has also joined the effort, operating
container ships from its ports to the Israeli port of Ashdod, further
supporting the land bridge initiative and assuring Israeli commerce is not
interrupted amid its genocidal campaign in Gaza.
But that is just the start of their complicity.
Take Turkey, for example. Around 40% of Israel’s energy needs are met by an oil
pipeline running through Turkey. President Erdoğan
could simply shut the flow of oil off to Israel, which would shut down the
economy and the military assault in days. But he continues not to do so,
despite offering strong condemnation of Israel in words.
Morocco, meanwhile, is building a military intelligence base for Israel
near its border with Algeria. The site will be utilized for collaboration for
military training, intelligence and security.
Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems also
recently announced the establishment of two weapons factories in Morocco,
helping to diversify Israel’s weapons production capabilities, as activists in
other countries shut the factories down.
In 2021, Morocco also signed the Abraham Accords – a normalization treaty
with Israel that Bahrain and the UAE had already agreed to. The Emirates has
long been a hub for Israeli intelligence, and it is now well established that
the two nations aid each other on intelligence matters.

When the Al-Aqsa Storm
began on October 7, 2023, the corporate and government-controlled media in the
United States and European countries utilized their resources to justify the
Israeli genocidal assaults on the Gaza Strip and the Occupied West Bank.
Israeli governmental and military
spokespersons were given free reign by the television, radio and newspaper
platforms to denounce the Hamas Resistance Movement and the Palestinian people
as a whole.
Palestinians were referred to as “animals,
sub-humans, murderers and rapists.” These comments made by the Zionist
officials did not receive any rebuttal by the western media outlets.
However, despite the demonization of Palestinians and
their allies in the region by numerous news agencies such as the British
Broadcasting Corporations (BBC), Cable News Network (CNN), MSNBC and many
others, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets to denounce the
blanket bombing and later ground invasion into the Gaza Strip. From New York
City to the West Coast, protest actions were organized on college campuses, in
business districts along with vigils outside the homes of leading Congressional
figures such as Democratic Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Although the majority of African American elected
officials for both the Democratic and Republican parties tripped over
themselves to express support for Tel Aviv, many rank-and-file activists issued
statements and joined demonstrations in solidarity with the Palestinians. President
Joe Biden was quickly labeled as “Genocide Joe” for his unconditional
support for the Zionist state.
In an article published
by the Black Agenda Report written by radio host Jacqueline Luqman,
she emphasized:
“It shouldn’t
need to be said at this late date, but imperialism and settler colonialism are
the pertinent issues to address in any discussion of Zionism. The foundational issue in the ongoing and existential conflict
between Israeli settlers and indigenous Palestinians, not a continued and
historical hatred of Jews, as many Zionists claim. But why do we make
the distinction that opposition to Zionism is not automatically opposition to
Jewish people? I believe that to understand this is to understand what Zionism
is and the contradictions therein. First, Zionism itself is not entirely
synonymous with Judaism. Although it is true that the Zionist movement was
‘officially’ organized by Theodor Hertzl in Austria
in 1896 to establish a Jewish homeland in response to the bigotry and
repression against Jews, it is important to understand that Hertzl
was not himself an Orthodox, or ‘observant’ Jew; he was more secular than
religious.”
Biden who has
described himself as a “Zionist” traveled to Tel Aviv just hours after a
hospital was bombed in Gaza City killing hundreds of patients and civilians
October 17. Biden in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, apportioned blame for the Al-Ahli Hospital massacre on the Palestinian resistance absent
any investigation by any outside entity. He quoted former Israeli Prime
Minister Golda Meir as saying that the Jewish people had nowhere else to go
other than Palestine. Biden has expressed no sympathy for the plight of the
Palestinian people who have been dislocated from their traditional homeland.

The United States,
in collaboration with the Jordanian air force, dropped aid packages into Gaza
on Saturday.
What is being
marketed as benevolent assistance amounts to humanitarian aid theater that does
nothing to end the systematic and intentional
campaign of starvation Israel and its American and European
allies, with the complicity of regional regimes, are waging against
Palestinians.
Experts and
aid officials have made clear that these airdrops are not an effective way to
alleviate the starvation of 2.3 million people in Gaza deliberately caused by
Israel, with the full backing of the United States.
By
participating in these drops, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, but
especially Jordan whose air force is carrying them out, are providing public
relations cover for countries directly involved in Israel’s genocide of
Palestinians in Gaza.
The effect –
whether intentional or not – is to relieve Israel and its backers of pressure
to lift the total siege Tel Aviv has imposed on the coastal enclave with the clear intent of causing
maximum suffering and death to as many people as possible.
Children
starving
Right now,
children in Gaza “are being starved at the fastest rate the world has ever
seen,” said Melanie Ward,
CEO of the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians.
“It’s very
simple. It’s because the Israeli military won’t let it in,” Ward told CNN on
Thursday, explaining why aid is not reaching Gaza. “We could end the starvation
tomorrow very simply if they would just let us have access to people there.”
But on

The
starvation regime continues unabated as Israel continues its campaign in the
Gaza Strip. One of the six provisional measures ordered by the International Court Justice
entailed taking “immediate and effective measures” to protect the Palestinian
populace in the Gaza Strip from risk of genocide by ensuring the supply of
humanitarian assistance and basic services.
In its case
against Israel, South Africa argued, citing various grounds, that Israel’s
purposeful denial of humanitarian aid to Palestinians could fall within the UN
Genocide Convention as “deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life
calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.”
A month has
elapsed since the ICJ order, after which Israel was meant to report back on
compliance. But, as Amnesty International reports, Israel
continues “to disregard its obligation as the occupying power to ensure the
basic needs of Palestinians in Gaza are met.”
The organisation’s regional director for the
Middle East and North Africa, Heba Morayef, gives a lashing summary of
that conduct.
“Not only has Israel created one of the worst humanitarian crises in the
world, but it is also displaying callous indifference to the fate of Gaza’s
population by creating conditions which the ICJ has said placed them at
imminent risk of genocide.” Israel, Morayef
continues to state, had “woefully failed to provide for Gazans’
basic needs” and had “been blocking and impeding the passage of sufficient aid
into the Gaza strip, in particular to the north which is virtually
inaccessible, in a clear show of contempt for the ICJ ruling and in flagrant
violation of its obligation to prevent genocide.”

“Reporters Without Shame: Top ‘Media Rights’ Organization Ignores
Rampant Killings of Gaza Journalists”

At the end of
2023, Reporters Without Borders (Reporters sans Frontieres, RSF), the international organization ostensibly
advocating for freedom of information, released its annual report. The paper
massively downplays the widespread and deliberate targeting of Palestinian
journalists in the Israel-Gaza war.
The
report’s announcement,
titled, “Round-up: 45 journalists
killed in the line of duty worldwide – a drop despite the tragedy in Gaza,” excludes
most of the Palestinian journalists killed by Israel in 2023, particularly in
the past few months. It claims 16 fewer journalists were killed worldwide in
2023 than in 2022. This doesn’t reflect reality.

The report
claims that (as of December 1, 2023), only 13 Palestinian journalists were
killed while actively reporting,
noting separately that 56 journalists were killed in Gaza, “if we include journalists killed in
circumstances unproven to be related to their duties.”
Other sources
put the overall number of Palestinian journalists killed in the
enclave much higher. The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian
Affairs (OCHA) reported on
December 1 that 73 journalists and media workers had been killed, citing to the
Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate (PJS).
While The Committee to Protect Journalists’ (CPJ) December 20, 2023 numbers are
lower (at least 61 Palestinian journalists killed since October 7), CPJ at
least didn’t disregard dozens of slain Palestinian journalists like RSF did.
In fact, in contrast to RSF’s cheerful “things are much better for journalists than previous years” tone,
CPJ emphasized that in the first 10 weeks of Israel’s war on Gaza, “ more journalists have
been killed than have ever been killed in a single country over an entire year.” It
voiced its concern about, “an
apparent pattern of targeting of
journalists and their families by the Israeli military.”
That summary is far more honest, and shocking, than the watered-down RSF
report.

It isn’t
clear how RSF discerns which circumstances were “unproven to be related” to the duties of slain Gazan journalists, nor who is “actively reporting” when Gaza is under relentless Israeli
bombardment and suffers frequent internet cuts. In fact, given the nonstop
Israeli bombing (and sniping) throughout the Strip, it would be nearly
impossible to discern whether journalists were reporting (including from their
homes) at the time of their death.
However, in
the methodology section near the end of its more detailed report, RSF notes
it “logs a journalist’s death in
its press freedom barometer when they are killed in the exercise of their
duties or in connection with their status as a journalist.”
Many Palestinian journalists in Gaza have received death threats from
officers in the Israeli army precisely due to their status as journalists. And
many of those threatened have subsequently been killed, along with family
members, when Israeli airstrikes targeted their homes or places of shelter.
We also have the precedent in prior wars (in 2009, 2012, 2014, and 2021)
of Israel bombing Gazan media buildings (including
one I was in in 2009) with varying severity, damaging
and finally destroying two major media
buildings in 2021. This is clearly intended to stop the
flow of reports from Gaza under Israeli bombs, and so is the killing of
journalists.
On December 15, the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate criticized the RSF
report, going as far as accusing RSF of complicity with Israel’s war crimes
against Palestinian journalists through whitewashing.

In November 2023, NATO’s “Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid
Threats” published a disturbing ‘working paper,’ “Humour in online information
warfare: Case study on Russia’s war on Ukraine.” It received
no mainstream attention. Yet, the contents offer unprecedented insight into the
military alliance’s insidious weaponization of social
media to distort public perceptions and manufacture consent for war. They also
raise grave questions about online “trolling” of dissident voices over the past
decade and beyond.
The working paper ostensibly “considers instances of humour
put to effective use to counter disinformation and propaganda in online spaces,
using Russia’s war on Ukraine.” It concludes, “humour-based
responses…in the information space and in the physical domain have been found
to deliver multiple clear benefits” for Ukraine and NATO.
Avowedly a “practical review seeking to identify examples of best
practice from both government and civil society” for wider future application,
the paper recommends Western states, militaries, and security and intelligence
services master the art of online ridicule under the aegis of
“counter-disinformation.”
It contends, “humour…reaches the parts that other countermeasures – like
fact-checking or media user education – cannot.” Mass deployment of memes,
moreover, “has the advantage of exploiting social media platform algorithms”
and addressing “audiences that are not inclined to consume ‘boring’ products.”
As we shall see, the true value in weaponizing
“humour” for NATO is distorting the battlefield
reality in Ukraine – and future theaters of Western proxy conflict – for public
consumption. Meanwhile, any social media user deviating from NATO-endorsed
narratives can be subjected to intensive harassment, discrediting them and
their message “among a wide sector of online audiences,” if not scaring them
away from digital information spaces entirely. The working paper advocates the
creation of an army of “private citizens” for the purpose.

The Prime
Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, said on March 2 in a video posted on social
media that sending soldiers from the European Union and NATO to Ukraine could
precipitate a global apocalypse. The social media post was made on the same day
that the Slovakian foreign minister met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
Fico also
highlighted Ukraine’s inability to resolve the conflict despite the West’s
substantial financial and military aid. He emphasised
that an EU and NATO military presence in Ukraine could potentially
alter the dynamics of the conflict and trigger catastrophic
consequences.
“The West
sees that, despite significant financial and military aid, Ukraine is incapable
of resolving this armed conflict,” said the Slovak prime minister, adding: “The
situation could change with the arrival of EU and NATO military personnel in
Ukraine, but then there would be nothing left but to wait for the arrival of
the global apocalypse.”
Fico
highlighted the pressing need for modern air defence
systems for Ukraine but warned that the West could not provide these
systems without a commitment to maintaining and operating this equipment. He
argued that sending Western military personnel would only worsen the
conflict rather than resolve it.

The New York
Times on February 25 published an explosive
story of what purports to be the
history of the CIA in Ukraine from the Maidan coup of
2014 to the present. The story, “The Spy War: How the C.I.A.
Secretly Helps Ukraine Fight Putin,” written by Adam Entous and
Michael Schwirtz, is one of initial distrust, but a
mutual fear and hatred of Russia that progresses to a relationship so close
that Ukraine is now one of the CIA’s closest intelligence partners in the
world.
At the same
time, the Times’s
publication of the piece, which relied on more than 200 interviews in Ukraine,
the U.S., and “several other European countries,” raises several questions: Why
did the CIA not object to the article’s publication, especially coming in one
of the Agency’s preferred outlets? When the CIA approaches a newspaper to complain
about the classified information it contains, the piece is almost always killed
or severely edited. Newspaper publishers are patriots, after all. Right? Was the article published because the CIA wanted the
news out there? Perhaps more importantly, was the point of the article to
influence the congressional budget deliberations on aid to Ukraine? After all,
was the article really just meant to brag about how great the CIA is? Or was it
to warn congressional appropriators, “Look how much we’ve accomplished to
confront the Russian bear. You wouldn’t really let it all go to waste, would
you?”

nurtured a secret intelligence partnership” with Ukraine “for more than a
decade”, and it “has transformed Ukraine” into “one of Washington’s most
important intelligence partners against the Kremlin”.
In the past
eight years, particularly, a CIA-backed “network
of spy bases” has been created, and it includes
“12 secret locations along the Russian border.”
Moreover, in
2016 the Central Intelligence Agency even started training an elite Ukrainian
commando force which captured Russian drones for the agency to reverse-engineer
them.

Among the
Nazis’ first actions after taking power was to dismantle the German trade
unions and labour power. By March 1933 the first
concentration camp was erected at Dachau, soon to be followed by others, where
numerous communists, socialists and other undesirables were interned. The
German masses were thereafter transformed largely into devoted followers of
Hitler, subjected regularly to Nazi propaganda; much of the techniques of which
Gauleiter of Berlin Joseph Goebbels had learnt in the
1920s from Edward Bernays, the influential American
propaganda merchant.
The Third
Reich’s destruction of the left, along with Hitler’s stated intention to preserve
big business, was welcomed by corporate managers. Before Hitler had even come
to power, his views had drawn approval abroad from leading industrialists; like
the American tycoon Irénée du Pont, a
proponent of racial superiority and until 1925 the president of chemical
multinational DuPont; and Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company,
a fervent anti-Semite who in the early 1920s wrote ‘The International Jew: The
World’s Problem’.
A number of
business moguls in America were overtly anti-Semitic, and Hitler’s rants
against the supposed Jewish problem met with their approval. Ford’s writings in
fact seem to have influenced Hitler and other Nazis like Baldur von Schirach, future head of the Hitler Youth. At the
Nuremberg trials in May 1946, von Schirach said he
had read Ford’s above work “and became anti-Semitic. In those days this book
made such a deep impression on my friends and myself,
because we saw in Henry Ford the representative of success”.
Ford himself
was providing funds to the Nazi Party since the 1920s, when it was a miniscule
political organisation (1). Hitler kept a life-size
portrait of Ford behind his desk in Munich, and in 1931 the Nazi leader told a
Detroit news reporter, “I regard Henry Ford as my inspiration”. Each year Ford
also sent money to Hitler personally on his birthday through Swiss or Swedish
banks, between around 10,000 to 20,000 Reichsmarks
annually. These payments to Hitler continued until 1944, more than two years
after the German declaration of war on America. (2)
However, as
Hitler became chancellor on 30 January 1933, the Nazi Party’s coffers were
virtually empty and large bills remained unpaid. Just a few weeks before,
Goebbels complained in his diary that “financial troubles make all organised work impossible” and “the danger now exists of
the whole party going to pieces” (3). This indicates that, up until Hitler took
control, the Nazis received rather limited funding from big business. Greater
contributions would be forthcoming, almost as soon as Hitler gained the chancellorship.

MintPress News probed a newly unsealed tranche of
documentation on official police investigations into and civil lawsuits leveled
against Jeffrey Epstein – specifically, papers mentioning Alan Dershowitz. At that time, the veteran Zionist legal activist
had been mooted as Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu’s top pick to defend Tel
Aviv at the International Court of Justice in a case brought by South Africa
over the Gaza genocide before almost immediately being dumped due to wide-ranging public backlash.
That Netanyahu considered Dershowitz a viable
candidate for the role at all spoke volumes. Both about Tel
Aviv’s total lack of self-awareness and qualms over negative publicity, but
also Dershowitz’s intimate connections to Israel’s
darkest recesses. His role in defending notorious serial rapist Harvey
Weinstein in court, and negotiating Epstein’s extraordinary 2008
Non-Prosecution Agreement, are well-known. Yet, obvious questions about whether
and how these activities centrally placed him in a web of
intelligence-connected blackmail intrigue have never been asked.
When the fresh batch of Epstein files dropped last month, Dershowitz – about whom allegations of pedophilia have abounded
for many years – was quick to boast of how his name appeared 137 times
in the material while claiming the contents fully exonerated him of any
wrongdoing. Even if true – and, as MintPress News’
previous investigation outlined, that is far from certain – certain documents
could point to Dershowitz’s complicity in and
knowledge of a very different sexual criminality.

strong evidence that the Pentagon, through its research and development agency,
DARPA, is developing genetically modified insects that would be capable of
destroying agriculture crops of a potential enemy. The claim has been denied by
DARPA, but leading biologists have sounded the alarm on what is taking place
using new “gene-editing” CRISPR technology to in effect weaponize
insects. It’s like a 21st Century update of the Biblical plague of locusts,
only potentially far worse.
The Pentagon
Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, DARPA, is funding a program with the
bizarre name “Insect Allies.” Dr. Blake Bextine
of DARPA describes the program as “leveraging a natural and efficient two-step
delivery system to transfer modified genes to plants: insect vectors and the
plant viruses they transmit.” DARPA claims the program is to provide “scalable,
readily deployable, and generalizable countermeasures
against potential natural and engineered threats to the food supply with the
goals of preserving the US crop system.” Check
the language: scalable, readily deployable…
Under the
DARPA project, Genetic Alteration Agents or viruses will be introduced into
the insect population to directly influence the genetic makeup of crops. DARPA plans to use leaf hoppers, white flies, and aphids to
introduce select viruses into crops. Among other dubious claims they say
it will help farmers combat “climate change.” What no one can answer,
especially as neither the Pentagon nor the US FDA are asking, is how will the
genetically engineered viruses in the insects interact with other
microorganisms in the environment? If crops are constantly being inundated by
genetically modified viruses, how could this could alter the genetics and
immune systems of humans who depend on the crops?

Introduction
This is a
follow up to the author’s e-book Food, Dispossession and Dependency — Resisting
the New World Order, which was originally published in February 2022 by Global
Research and is hosted on the Centre for Research on Globalization’s [CRG]
website.
That book set
out some key trends affecting food and agriculture, including the prevailing
model of industrial, chemical-intensive farming and its deleterious impacts.
Alternatives to that model were discussed, specifically agroecology.
The book also looked at the farmers’ struggle in India and how the COVID-19
‘pandemic’ was being used to manage a crisis of capitalism and the
restructuring of much of the global economy, including food and agriculture.
This new
e-book begins by examining how the modern food system is being shaped by the
capitalist imperative for profit, with specific focus on the situation in
Ukraine, and discusses the role of the world’s most powerful investment
management firm, BlackRock. It then goes on to
describe how people (not least children) are being sickened by corporations and
a system that thrives on the promotion of ‘junk’ (ultra-processed) food laced
with harmful chemicals and the use of toxic agrochemicals.
It’s a highly
profitable situation for investment firms like BlackRock,
Vanguard, State Street, Fidelity and Capital Group and the food conglomerates
they invest in. But BlackRock and others are not just
heavily invested in the food industry. They also profit from illnesses and
diseases resulting from the food system by having stakes in the pharmaceuticals
sector as well. A win-win situation.
The book goes
on to describe how lobbying by agri-food corporations
and their well-placed, well-funded front groups ensures
this situation prevails. They continue to capture policy-making and regulatory
space at international and national levels and promote the notion that without
their products the world would starve.
Moreover,
they are now pushing a fake-green, ecomodernist
narrative in an attempt to roll out their new proprietary technologies in order
to further entrench their grip on a global food system that produces poor food,
illness, environmental degradation, the eradication of smallholder farming, the
undermining of rural communities, dependency and dispossession.
The final
chapter looks at the broader geopolitical aspects of food and agriculture in a
post-COVID world characterised by food inflation,
hardship and multi-trillion-dollar global debt.

A major new technology known as Gene Editing has gained significant attention in recent months. Its advocates claim it will revolutionize everything from agriculture production to disease treatment. None other than Bill Gates has just come out in an article in the US foreign policy magazine Foreign Affairs in praise of the promise of gene editing. Yet a closer investigation suggests that all is not so ideal with Gene Editing. New peer reviewed studies suggest it could cause cancer. The question is whether this technology, which is highly controversial, is little more than a stealth way to introduce GMO genetic manipulation by way of another technique.
The scientific magazine, Nature Studies, has published two studies that suggest that gene-editing techniques may weaken a person’s ability to fight off tumors, and “could give rise to cancer, raising concerns about for the safety of CRISPR-based gene therapies.” The studies were done by Sweden’s Karolinska Institute and by the pharmaceutical firm, Novartis. Cells whose genomes are successfully edited by CRISPR-Cas9 have the potential to seed tumors inside a patient the studies found. That could make some CRISPR’d cells ticking time bombs, according to researchers from Karolinska Institute and, in a separate study, by Novartis.
The CEO of CRISPR Therapeutics, Sam Kulkarni, admitted that the results are “plausible.” He added,
“it’s something we need to pay attention to,
especially as CRISPR expands to more diseases.”
Given the stakes that is a notably nonchalant response.
Genes out of the bottle
The issue of gene editing to cut or modify DNA of a plant, animal or potentially human beings is by no means mature let alone fully tested or proven safe as the two new studies suggest. CRISPR, far the most cited gene editing technology, was developed only in 2013. In 2015 at a London TED conference geneticist Jennifer Doudna presented what is known as CRISPR-Cas9, an acronym for “Clustered regularly-interspaced short palindromic repeats.” It’s a gene-editing platform using a bacterially-derived protein, Cas9 that supposedly allows genetic engineers to target and break the DNA double strand at a precise location within a given genome for the first time.
The technique also has significant problems. It has been shown repeatedly that only a small minority of cells into which CRISPR is introduced, usually by a virus, actually have their genomes edited as intended.
In China scientists used human embryos given by donors of embryos that could not have resulted in a live birth, to edit a specific gene. The results were a bad failure as the tested cells failed to contain the intended genetic material. Lead researcher Jungiu Huang told Nature.
“That’s why we stopped. We still think it’s too immature.”
A newer form of gene editing known as gene drive, as I noted in an earlier article, has an alarming potential to become a Frankenstein monster.

Regime Change Karen has said the quiet part out loud, complaining that Putin’s Russia is “not the Russia we wanted”.
US State Department fixture and Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, aka “Regime Change Karen,” apparently woke up one day recently, took the safety off her nuclear-grade mouth, and inadvertently blew up the West’s Ukraine narrative.
Until now, Americans have been told that all the US taxpayer cash being earmarked for Ukrainian aid is to help actual Ukrainians.
Anyone notice that the $75 billion American contribution isn’t getting the job done on the battlefield?
Victory in military conflict isn’t supposed to look like defeat.
Winning also isn’t defined as, “Well, on a long enough time axis, like infinity, our chance of defeat will eventually approach zero.”
And the $178 billion in total from all allies combined doesn’t seem to be doing the trick, either.
Short of starting a global war with weapons capable of extending the conflict beyond a regional one, it’s not like they’ve been holding back.
The West is breaking the bank. All for some vague, future Ukrainian “victory” that they don’t seem to want to clearly define. We keep hearing that the support will last “as long as it takes.” For what exactly? By not clearly defining it, they can keep moving the goal posts.
But now here comes Regime Change Karen, dropping some truth bombs on CNN about Ukrainian aid. She started off with the usual talking point of doing “what we have always done, which is defend democracy and freedom around the world.”

Victoria Nuland’s retirement is an admission that Washington’s premier foreign policy project has failed. No government official is more identified with the Ukraine fiasco than Nuland. She was on the ground micro-managing activities during the 2014 coup, and has overseen the State Department’s sordid involvement since the war began. Her career-path is inextricably linked to the ill-fated NATO-backed disaster which has resulted in the needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian regulars and the obliteration of much of the country. Thus, the question we need to ask ourselves is whether Nuland’s persistent machinations to drag NATO into an unwinnable war with Russia is the reason she ‘got the axe’, er, announced her retirement? Here’s an excerpt from the official State Department Press Statement:
But it’s Toria’s (Nuland) leadership on Ukraine that diplomats and students of foreign policy will study for years to come. Her efforts have been indispensable to confronting Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and marshaling a global coalition to ensure his strategic failure, and helping Ukraine work toward the day when it will be able to stand strongly on its own feet – democratically, economically, and militarily. On the Retirement of Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, US State Department
This is an extraordinary paragraph that places the blame for the Ukrainian debacle squarely on Nuland’s shoulders.
Yes, she was “indispensable” in leading the drive to confront Putin just as she played a critical role in “marshaling a global coalition” to prosecute a proxy war on Russia. And, what this statement tells us is that Nuland was one of the main architects of the ongoing conflict, which means she is largely responsible for the widening chasm between the NATO leaders, the mounting carnage on the battlefield, and America’s strategic defeat to its primary geopolitical rival, Russia. In short, no other government official is more responsible for the Ukrainian quagmire than Victoria Nuland.
Also, Nuland leaves behind a gargantuan catastrophe for which there is no apparent remedy and no easy way out.
We cannot expect the Biden administration to simply ‘cut and run’ in what is perceived to be a direct confrontation with Moscow. Biden will undoubtedly press-ahead as a face-saving gesture regardless of the costs, further straining relations with the allies while handing-over large chunks of east Ukraine to the Russian army. This is clearly a no-win situation for Washington which is why (we think) Nuland –who created this mess– got her ‘Pink Slip’. Here’s more from the State Department’s statement:
(Nuland’s) tenure caps three and a half decades of remarkable public service under six Presidents and ten Secretaries of State. Starting with her very first posting as a consular officer in Guangzhou, China, Toria’s had most of the jobs in this Department. Political officer and economic officer. Spokesperson and chief of staff. Deputy Assistant Secretary and Assistant Secretary. Special Envoy and Ambassador.
These experiences have armed Toria with an encyclopedic knowledge of a wide range of issues and regions, and an unmatched capacity to wield the full toolkit of American diplomacy to advance our interests and values. (US State Dept)

In other words, Victoria Nuland is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced diplomats in the entire State Department, but –even so– they are throwing her under the bus during a time of extreme crisis because she failed in the biggest and most important assignment of her 35-year career. Isn’t that what they’re saying?
It is. You can be 100% certain that a combative street-fighter like Nuland would never throw in the towel unless she was explicitly ordered to leave.
And, perhaps, she might have held-on to her job if there was any sign of progress in the war, but there isn’t any sign of progress. It’s as hopeless and dire a situation as we have ever seen.
Even as we speak– the Ukrainian front lines are collapsing while the body count continues to rise. Ukraine is out-gunned, out-manned, and out-led. It’s a total mismatch and has been ever since Putin called up the reserves over a year ago. Young men are presently being slaughtered in droves and left to rot in mud-filled trenches that stink of gunpowder and death. All of this suggests that the end is near. And if the end is near, then someone will have to be blamed. Enter Nuland with a bullseye affixed to her back.
Nuland deserves whatever she gets. As a diehard Warhawk she has always played fast-and-loose with the facts building the case for war on half-truths and outright fabrications, all with the intention of plunging the country into another pointless bloodletting that would inevitably end in another humiliating defeat. She got her wish, and now she’s getting her comeuppance. Here’s a short clip from an article by author Karen Kwiatkowski who is equally curious about Nuland’s fake retirement:

Nuland and her former colleagues, John Brennan and Hillary Clinton, have had a poisonous effect on our politics, elevating Russophobia to a state religion while dragging the nation’s reputation through the mud at every turn. In a Time magazine interview, Nuland boldly announced:
We will support Ukraine for as long as it takes. Ukraine is fighting for the return of all of its land within its international borders. We are supporting them, including in preparing a next hard push to regain their territory…Crimea must be—at a minimum, at a minimum—demilitarized.” Time Magazine

After the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Al-Qaeda and Saudi Arabia were immediately blamed.
When you ask people who believe that 911 was an inside job, they will tell you that it was the Saudi government who funded and armed Al-Qaeda and that they planned the operation with elements of the CIA to start new wars in the Middle East.
Yes, that is true to an extent, and yes, the Saudis did play a role on 911, but that is just part of the story because there were others who had a much greater role that is rarely mentioned. In other words, Saudi Arabia is just window dressing Israel and 911, an Orchestrated War in the Middle East?
So, who was behind the World Trade Center attacks?
We can say that the Bush-Cheney Regime and their Project for a New American Century (PNAC) agenda played a significant role.
For starters, PNAC was a neoconservative think tank with many of its members holding dual citizenships with the state of Israel.
They had introduced an aggressive foreign policy aimed at the Middle East. Some of those members included US Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, Under Secretary of Defense and Policy Advisor, Douglas Feith, National Security Council Advisor Elliott Abrams, White House Speech writer David Frum and several others. In terms of war propaganda, the mainstream media and Israel’s influential lobbies including the American Israel Political Action Committee (AIPAC) all convinced the American public and most members of the US congress that a war with Iraq was the right thing to do.
Remember when they pushed the narrative that Saddam Hussein had Weapons of Mass Destruction and that his soldiers had taken babies out of incubators in Kuwait City and left them out to die because they had shipped the incubators back to Baghdad?
It was all a lie that led the Americans and Europeans to support a war that ultimately destroyed Iraq.
Was it about “spreading Democracy” to help the Iraqi people defeat a brutal dictator?
Not really because the US government had always supported dictatorships who were worse than Saddam Hussein.
So, was it about oil?
Or was it about Saddam Hussein making the decision to use Euros instead of US Dollars for oil transactions?
Yes, to both of those questions, but there was one other reason to why they invaded Iraq and that was for the state of Israel and its long-term agenda to become the hegemonic power in the Middle East.
As we all know, the Biden regime with most US congress members from both sides of the aisle and the mainstream media who all support Israel, are once again, on the same path leading the American people and its European vassals into another war, but this time with Iran. As more talk in the US and European mainstream media about the dangers of Iran as a terrorist state and the threat it imposes on Israel and the United States so it’s worth looking back at who was really behind the September 11th attacks that started the war in Iraq in the first place. Now these same actors are using the same lies against Iran and that will lead to a third world war with dire consequences.
In the aftermath of the September 11th attacks, former US Army General, Wesley Clark revealed a plan by the Bush Neocons on Democracy Now to “take out” Iran and six other Middle Eastern nations according to a Pentagon memo that was circulated within the highest-level of power within the Defense Department, according to Clark,
“This is a memo that describes how we’re going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran.”
The truth is that the attacks in New York City’s World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September 11th, 2001, was the start of a wider Middle East war that did benefit the US government’s imperial ambitions and its weapons manufacturers to a certain extent, but it mostly benefited the Israeli government and its main agenda to dominate and control the Middle East, perhaps to expand its territory to become a Greater Israel.
Israeli Propaganda: Was Iran Behind the September 11th Attacks?
Over the years since 911, Osama Bin Laden and his Saudi Arabian handlers have been accused of having a significant role, but according to an Israeli funded news organization, the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS), it was Iran who had a major role in the 911 attacks.
On September 13th, 2022, the ‘Mideast News Hour’ with Caroline Glick, a show produced by the Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) suggested that one country has been overlooked regarding the September 11th attacks and that was Iran. Yes, according to Glick, Iran is the invisible hand behind the worst terrorist attacks in US history.
Caroline Glick, is an American-born Israeli conservative columnist, journalist, and author who writes for the Jerusalem Post, Breitbart news and others news media platforms hosted a segment on JNS called ‘21 years later, US still doesn’t recognize Iran’s role in 9/11’ invited a guest by the name of David Wurmser, an expert on Middle East affairs who served as one of the senior members of the Bush administration’s National Security Council (NSC) claimed on Glick’s show that
“This administration thinks that the actual ability to restrain Iran isn’t as important as the political gain from having done what Trump couldn’t do or didn’t do.”
In an anti-Iran fashion, Glick claimed that
“In the immediate aftermath, George Bush said that the enemy was terrorism. The real enemy, though, is radical Islam, not one group or another,” Glick continued “For the past 22 years, Americans have never acknowledged it” and that “America’s willful blindness to Iran’s role in global terrorism, including in the September 11 attacks, is part of the collective amnesia about the events of September 11.”
There are several facts that downplays Glick’s assertion that Iran was behind the 911 attacks.
But the real facts about who was involved will be undeniable.
As we piece together the evidence and trace who, what and where they came from, we will know the root cause of the September 11th attacks.
Setting the Stage: When the Israelis Predicated 911 in ‘1979’
It seems that the Israelis were preparing the world for a 911 style attack since the early 1970’s.
According to journalist and author of several books on Israeli involvement in the September 11th attacks, Christopher Bollyn, who I will be referring to as we go through some of the missing pieces of the puzzle has been trying to tell the world who was behind the September 11th attacks, yet he has been ignored by the mainstream media and by some alternative media networks and been labeled an anti-Semitic Conspiracy Theorist by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) when it comes to exposing who was behind 911.
In his website, Bollyn.com, he mentions his book, ‘The War on Terror: The Plot to Rule the Middle East’ where he says that the “9/11 and the War on Terror are linked plots that were designed to trick us into accepting the open-ended wars we have been engaged in since September 2001” and that “both plots were hatched by Israeli military intelligence to bring the U.S. military into the Middle East to wage war against the enemies of the Zionist state.”
There are several important points Bollyn brings to light on the propaganda inspired by Israeli interests in its anti-Muslim crusade and that is to propel the US and its Western allies into open ended wars in the Middle East. Bollyn published an article titled ‘Netanyahu’s Terrorist Party and 9/11’ and said that the
“Israeli military intelligence operates within the political framework of the state of Israel” he continued “This means that the 9/11 plot had to be approved at the highest political level in Israel since the late 1970s when the first Israeli movie depicting a plane-into-building attack was made by Arnon Milchan, a senior Israeli intelligence agent. Milchan’s first film, The Medusa Touch, was made in 1978 and featured a Boeing 747 being flown into the Pan Am building in New York City.”
Another Look at 9/11: Ask Not ‘What Happened?’ but ‘Who Did It?’
Isser Harel, the founder and first chief of the Israeli intelligence unit, Shin Bet who later became the head of Mossad, according to Bollyn’s research,
“One year later, in 1979, the founding chief of Israeli intelligence predicted that Arabs would attack the tallest building in New York. Isser Harel made this prediction to Michael Evans, an American Zionist activist.”
The Jerusalem Post published Mike Evan’s article on September 18th, 2019 ‘America the target’ where he recalled his conversation with Harel that took place in Tel Aviv back in 1980:
Harel looked at this American visitor and replied, “I fear it will come to you in America. America has the power, but not the will, to fight terrorism. The terrorists have the will, but not the power, to fight America. But all that could change with time. Arab oil money buys more than tents.” As to the where, Harel continued, “New York City is the symbol of freedom and capitalism. It’s likely they will strike the Empire State Building, your tallest building [at that time] and a symbol of your power
Now the most intriguing part of Bollyn’s article is where he explains the most infamous terrorist coming out of Israel, Menachem Begin, the former chief of the terrorist organization, Irgun, which online dictionaries including Wikipedia describes them as a “Zionist paramilitary organization”:
In July 1979, Menachem Begin, the former chief of the terrorist Irgun who became prime minister in 1977, organized a conference on “international terrorism” in Jerusalem that was described as a “propaganda offensive” meant to initiate a global war on terror. The three-day conference was hosted by an organization called the Yonatan [Netanyahu] Institute, headed by Benjamin Netanyahu and his father, Benzion. George H.W. Bush was one of the speakers on the final day.
These three events: Milchan’s movie, Harel’s prediction, and the conference on international terrorism, indicate that Israeli planning for 9/11 and the War on Terror began when the notorious terrorist Menachem Begin came to power in 1977. Begin had been involved in terror atrocities in Palestine in the 1940s as the leader of the Irgun. He had organized the bombing of the King David Hotel in 1946 and the massacre of the entire village of Deir Yassin in 1948
New terrorist bombing campaigns took center stage in the Middle East when Yitzhak Shamir, the former head of terrorist Stern Gang (LEHI), became Israel’s prime minister on October 10th,1983, so in “less than two weeks later a truck bomb devastated the U.S. Marine barracks at the Beirut airport, killing 241. A simultaneous attack on French troops resulted in 58 French military personnel being killed.” Since 1979, the Israeli military had been using car and truck bombs in and around Lebanon, however, Israel, the US, and its European vassals blame Iran for the terrorist attacks that killed both US and French troops. The US and Israelis have supported and armed various terrorists’ organizations since the 1980’s eventually led to the September 11th attacks:
During Shamir’s first term as prime minister from October 10, 1983, until September 13, 1984, Israeli military intelligence began arming and training “Arab jihadis” in Pakistan including Osama bin Laden. The Hezb-e-Islami fighters led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar were provided with arms paid for by the CIA and Saudi Arabia and delivered by Israelis from the weapons taken from the battlefields of Lebanon.
What was odd about this arrangement is that the U.S. was funding the training and arming of the least effective and most anti-Western of the militia waging jihad against the Red Army in Afghanistan. The so-called Afghan Arabs, trained by Israel in the arts of terrorism, became Al Qaida in 1994
One of the most influential members of Hollywood is Arnon Milchan, but did you know that he was an Israeli spy? The Guardian, ‘Arnon Milchan reveals past as Israeli spy’ said that Milchan was proud working on behalf of Israel’s interests, “the Hollywood producer behind box office hits including Fight Club, Pretty Woman and LA Confidential has spoken about his life as an Israeli secret agent and arms dealer, saying he was proud of working for his country.”

The desperate attempts to smear Aaron Bushnell as "insane" are absurd. Under Israel’s Law of Return, any individual with at least one Jewish grandparent or spouse can obtain Israeli citizenship. In this regard, many born abroad can serve in Israel’s military while still keeping their birthplace’s nationality. They often emigrate and then serve in the army.
Currently, 45% of the Israeli army’s “lone soldiers,” those who serve but don’t have family in Israel, are new immigrants. The current “lone soldier” program has troops from over 60 countries, with approximately 35% from the U.S. It’s important to note, though, that individuals part of Israel’s “lone soldier” program are not considered mercenaries, who are professionals hired by a country’s government to fight in its war and aren’t citizens of said country.
To widen the recruitment pool, the Israeli military now accepts great-grandchildren of Jews to join. While they aren’t eligible to become Israeli citizens under the Law of Return, they can serve in the Israeli army.
Another route is volunteering in Israel’s Mahal program, which permits Jewish youth from other countries to join the army without becoming citizens. There are currently 500 Mahal volunteers in Israel’s military.
“Most mercenaries fighting for Israel now are welcomed based on their religious affiliations and dual citizenships, making their accountability pretty complex,” Mustafa Fetouri, a Libyan journalist and analyst, told MintPress News. “Many countries whose citizens are fighting for Israel, including the USA, have laws criminalizing such actions, but it is not a straightforward issue when the dual citizenship is factored in.”
Fetouri expanded on this, writing in the Middle East Monitor that “America’s Neutrality Act, dating back to the founding days of the US, mak[es] it illegal for any American citizen to take part in any foreign war, or establish a militia for that purpose.” He noted the legislation, however, hasn’t been reinforced lately “as hundreds of Americans have participated in wars in Ukraine, in Libya in 2011 and, now, in Gaza.”
The Israeli military also openly recruits nationals of other countries. For instance, the Israeli consulate in Toronto has advertised appointments with its military representative for those wishing to join the military.

Amid an ongoing onslaught against the Gaza Strip by apartheid Israel, the Palestinian national football team was a Cinderella story at this year’s AFC Asian Cup, reaching the knockout stages, eventually falling only to hosts and eventual winners hosted in Qatar. But while the challenge on the football field was hard enough, the Palestinian football team has to deal with a unique challenge that no other national squad faces: that of an unrelenting attack on it from Israel. This attack has included jailing, torturing, shooting and killing top players, bombing Palestinian infrastructure, and restricting the movement of players in and out of the country.
This has led to a growing global movement calling for Israel to be banned from international sporting competitions as part of a wider campaign to implement Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS). South Africa-based group Red Card Israel, for example, told MintPress that:
The action of suspending Israel from international sport creates a symbolic support against the unlawful occupation of Israel in the Palestinian territories and shows solidarity for the Palestinian people living under the apartheid regime.”
