Bulletin N° 1144

For there is no terror, cruelty, sacrilege, perjury, imposture, infamous transaction, cynical theft, brazen robbery or foul treason

which has not been committed and all are still being committed daily by representatives of the State,

with no other excuse than this elastic, at times so convenient and terrible phrase - Reason of State.

A terrible phrase indeed! For it has corrupted and dishonored more people in official circles and in the governing classes of society

than Christianity itself. As soon as it is uttered everything becomes silent and drops out of sight: honesty, honor, justice,

right, pity itself vanishes and with it logic and sound sense; black becomes white and white becomes black,

the horrible becomes humane, and the most dastardly felonies and most atrocious crimes become meritorious acts.

Subject : The Function of Capitalist Accumulation: How? When? Where? and Why?

Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,

War is on the horizon, and has been for some time. The financially driven 21st Century militarism, including contemporary military strategies such as kill box, or the battlespace strategy, along with the tried-and-proven tactic of false flags, enhances the private accumulation of capital and is catastrophic for our species and the global environment. The concept of Humanism has taken a severe beating in recent years, and the mechanics of fascism and human engineering have reintroduced dystopian thinking into cultures around the world, this time financed by billionaires and their phalanx of servile technicians.

The theory of Historical Materialism invites us to look at the patterns of past behaviors to better understand the present and foreseeable future in specific areas of human behavior.

Are all supporters of genocide (both tacit and explicit supporters) likely to see the fruits of their collaboration with mass murder returned to them in spades? What will happen to the rest of us during this conflagration? What can we do to stop the collective suicide that is now underway?

In this spirit, I recently picked up a book containing the history of Mesopotamian, which in ancient times came to include present-day Iran, Turkey, Syria and Kuwait.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/ed/N-Mesopotamia_and_Syria_english.svg/288px-N-Mesopotamia_and_Syria_english.svg.png

According to the eighth edition of World Civilizations (1991, W.W. Norton & Co. Inc.) written by Philip Lee Ralph, Robert Lerner, et al., “Between 3500 and 3200 B.C., Mesopotamia, the land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, became the first civilized territory on the globe in the sense that its society and culture rested on the existence of cities.”

We may call the historical period that ensued, lasting from almost 3200 B.C. to about 2000 B.C., the “Sumerian era” because the most advanced part of Mesopotamia was then its southernmost territory, Sumer. It was a region of mud-flats, roughly the size of Massachusetts. During the first nine centuries of the Sumerian era no unified government existed in Sumer; instead, the region was dotted with numerous independent city-states . . . .

One of the Sumerians’ most remarkable inventions, which they perfected about the time the Sumerian era was opening (around 3200 B.C.), was wheeled transport. To appreciate how advanced this invention was for a comparative perspective it should be noted that wheeled transport was unknown in Egypt until about 1700 B.C., and that wheels were unknown  in the Western Hemisphere (except for Peruvian children’s toys) until they were introduced by Europeans. Probably the first Sumerian to think of employing a circular device turning on an axis for the purpose of conveyance had seen a potter’s wheel, for as early as 4000 B.C., wheels were used in making pots in Iran, from whence they entered Sumer about 500 years later. The process of extending the principle of the wheel from pottery-making to transport was by no means obvious; the Egyptians knew the potter’s wheel by at least 2700 B.C., but they did not use the wheel for transport until a millennium later, and even then they probably did not ‘reinvent the wheel’ but learned of it from contacts with Mesopotamia. Thus the unknown Sumerian who first attached wheels to a sledge to make a better transportation vehicle really does have to be counted among the greatest technological geniuses of all time.

The earliest Sumerians wheeled vehicles were two-wheeled chariots and four-wheeled carts. Both were drawn by oxen (horses were unknown in western Asia until they were introduced by Eastern invaders sometime between 2000 and 1700 B.C.), and both were mounted on wheels that were solid, not spoked: two or three slabs of wood were shaped into a circle and fastened together with studs or braces. Ox-drawn chariots obviously did not move very quickly, yet they appear to have contributed to an advance in phalanx warfare, for surviving illustrations dating from about 2600 B.C. depict them trampling the enemy. Carts meant for hauling freight had less need for speed and must have aided the Sumerians immeasurably in their numerous irrigation and urban building projects. (pp.32-34)

Three other monumental inventions gifted by ancient Mesopotamia to the world were: 1)the lunar calendar, which served to coordinate the 29 stages of the regular eclipse of the moon from its thinnest crescents with the annual procedures in agricultural production, from planting to harvesting, to assure the optimum time of planting each year; 2)writing, which gradually evolved from pictograms between 3500 B.C. and 2500 B.C., when full-fledged writing finally took over and was no longer recognizable as pictures in combination (90% of the cuneiform texts surviving on Sumerian clay tablets are business and administrative records – the other 10% “fall into the category of literature, specifically dialogues, proverbs, hymns, and fragments of mythic tales”); and 3)a formal codification of jurisprudence by the Amorite King of Babylon, Hammurabi (1792 B.C. – 1750 B.C.) While the oldest written text of a code of law is thought to be The Code of Ur-Nammu, written in Mesopotamia more than two centuries earlier -sometime between 2100 and 2050 B.C.- by the Sumerian king, Ur-Nammu, or possibly by his son, Shulgi of Ur, historians have analyzed “The Code of Hammurabi” to be “the fullest known document recording” of Mesopotamian laws, of which there are a total of 282” transcribed in cuneiform on the stela discovered at Susa in 1901 by the French Orientalist Jean-Vincent Scheil and now preserved in the Louvre.

In this early document, there is no modern sense of “equality before the law” and slaves had no rights; the Hammurabi Code recognized two legal classes –“men” (who were understood to be aristocrats), and “all others,” who were neither “men” nor slaves. Crimes of “men” against “men” were punished less severely, while crimes of “men” against slaves were punished only to the extent they resulted in property damage for the slave owners. Crimes of “men” against non-slave inferiors were punished less severely than those of “men” against “men”.) Despite these inequalities, there can be found in this Code an original notion of ‘justice.’

The two most famous principles underlying Hammurabi’s Code are: ‘an eye for an eye’ and ‘let the buyer beware’.  . . .  The Code never considers whether the initial injury may have been accidental and is chillingly insistent of inflicting pain and humiliation. The ‘buyer beware’ principle is less chilling, but hardly seems like law. Why should the state announce in a legal code that the seller is free to get away with trickeries? Hammurabi’s Code becomes more intelligible only if we recognize that it aimed at different ends than modern jurisprudence. The Mesopotamians promulgated laws primarily to stop fights. Thus they thought (and by no means without reason) that a person tempted to act violently might refrain from such behavior if he remembered that whatever wound he inflicted on another would probably be inflicted upon himself. They clearly also thought that punishments would exercise a deterrent effect only if they were executed swiftly and without hope of mercy, a point of view that made it necessary for them to dismiss motive as irrelevant because investigating circumstances and motives would have taken time and opened the possibility that truly willful crimes might have gone unpunished if the criminal knew how to defend himself.

As for the ‘buyer beware’ principle, that too was meant to stop fights because a buyer knew that he had no rights and would be severely punished if he tried to assert any. (Consumers were expected to deal with the actions of dishonest sellers to end their deceptive practices without breaking the law.)

Having considered these practical dimensions of Mesopotamian jurisprudence, it must be added that Hammurabi’s Code was not entirely indifferent to the notion of justice. Although the insistence on exact retaliation is surely cruel, it is not entirely lacking in a concept of fairness inasmuch as ‘an eye for an eye’ is surely fairer than a head for an eye or an eye for a fingernail. Secondly, abstract ethical principals are embedded in Hammurabi’s Code in certain instances. For example, since the Mesopotamians believed that children should be deferential to their parents, law 195 of the Code stated; ‘if a son has struck his father, his hand shall be cut off. Finally, the state is called upon occasionally to provide social well-being rather than merely to judge and punish: The most elevated aspect of this ‘welfare state’ dimension to the Code apneas in law 23, wherein it is announced that if a man is robbed and the robber cannot be found, ‘the city . . . in whose territory the robbery was committed shall make good to the victim his lost property.’ We have seen that Hammurabi did wish to be known at ‘King of Justice’, and by the measures of his time he was entirely that; moreover, although Western concepts of justice were to develop greatly thereafter, most of the principles inherent in the Code of Hammurabi were to become points of departure for much of that future development.(pp.40-41)

Another monument to Mesopotamian civilization is the poem known as “The Gilgamesh Epic.” Like the Hammurabi Code it revolves around an actual ruler in the Sumerian Era, when a Sumerian king who ruled around 2600 B.C. excited the imagination of his contemporaries who began to tell fanciful stories about him. The stories were retold over the ensuing centuries in the Sumerian language and grew more fanciful until they became pure fiction. In the third century they began to be translated into the various languages of new conquerors of the region. The surviving epic poem represents this evolutionary process and dates around 1900 B.C.

According to one historian:

The most remarkable qualities of the epic of Gilgamesh are its sheer poetic forcefulness and its startling secularity, for it recounts nothing but the adventures and aspirations of a human hero in a world governed by the inevitability of death. After engaging in mighty battles and amorous encounters Gilgamesh seeks the secret of immortality from an old man and his wife who had been saved by taking refuge in an ark when the gods had decided to destroy the world by a flood. The aged couple assure him that immortality is unobtainable, but they do disclose the location of a plant that at least will restore his lost youth. Unfortunately, after gaining this plant by heroic effort from the floor of the sea, Gilgamesh leaves it unguarded while asleep and a snake eats it. (According to the poem, this is why snakes gain new life every year when they shed their skins.) Thus the aspirant to immortality is finally forced to acknowledge that he should enjoy each day as it comes without worrying agout the morrow:

Gilgamesh, whither art thou wandering?

Life, which thou seekest, thou wilt never find,

For when the gods created man, they let death be his share.

Gilgamesh, put on clean clothes, and wash thine head and bathe;

Gaze at the child that holdeth thine hand,

and let thy wife delight in thine embrace.

These things alone are men’s concerns.

Despite these secular teachings, it would be a mistake to think that Old Babylonian culture was at all irreligious, for all Old Babylonians (the Gilgamesh poet included) assumed that the gods held omnipotent sway over humans.(pp.41-42)

The 22+ items below are articles and essays selected from the alternative social Anglophone media which offer CEIMSA readers the opportunity to discover emerging elements in Anglophone culture as they develop and to evaluate their impact on the social-class-interests as they intensify around the world, both in the East and the West. Once again we can see historic alliances dissolving and new formations in the making, as dramatic and, at times, as confusing as those which occurred during the American War in Independence.

“Finding the Moral Courage to Recognize a Genocide”

https://www.counterpunch.org/2024/08/08/finding-the-moral-courage-to-recognize-a-genocide/

by Ana Malinow

Silence in the face of a polio epidemic:

Last week, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced the detection of poliovirus in sewage water samples, placing residents at significant risk of contracting this highly infectious virus. Despite a 99% decline in global polio cases since 1988 due to extensive vaccination campaigns, the eradication of polio is now under threat. The ongoing conflict in Gaza, characterized by Israeli military actions that have damaged or destroyed water infrastructure, has exacerbated conditions conducive to the spread of diseases. Limited access to clean drinking water, poor hygiene, overcrowding, and disruptions to childhood immunizations, including boosters, all contribute to this public health crisis.

In response to this alarming development, U.S. medical professional organizations have remained conspicuously silent. On November 3, the American Public Health Association (APHA) issued a statement recognizing Israel’s right to self-defense but failed to address the 16-year blockade of Gaza and its devastating humanitarian impact. The APHA referred to the situation as a “growing humanitarian crisis arising from limited access to basic human necessities” without mentioning the ongoing bombing campaign targeting civilians in Gaza. Less than two weeks later, the same organization issued a one-sentence call for an immediate ceasefire in the “Hamas-Israel war.”

On November 11, the American Medical Association’s (AMA) House of Delegates declined to consider a resolution co-sponsored by the Minority Affairs Section supporting a ceasefire in Israel and Palestine. Former AMA president, Andrew Gurman, MD, stated, “This resolution deals with a geopolitical issue, which is in no way the purview of this house,” emphasizing that their role is to address issues facing doctors and patients in the U.S. This stance contrasts sharply with the AMA’s previous condemnation of attacks on healthcare workers and facilities in Ukraine, where it called for an “immediate ceasefire and an end to all attacks on health care workers and facilities.”

Why are medical professional organizations staying silent?

As reported in MedPage, nine months into the genocide, the AMA passed a resolution calling for peace in Israel and Palestine but still refrained from demanding a ceasefire. In April, the World Medical Association (WMA), alarmed by the escalating healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Gaza, including starvation and lack of medical care, unanimously passed a resolution calling for a “bilateral, negotiated, and sustainable ceasefire,” with support from the Israeli Medical Society.

A compelling article published by Mondoweiss, an online journal providing analysis on Palestine, Israel, and the U.S., questioned the silence of U.S. public health institutions amidst a genocide financially and ideologically supported by their own government. The author suggested several reasons: a failure to recognize the root causes of health disparities driven by colonialism, imperialism, and racial capitalism; a history of harm inflicted by U.S. medical institutions on marginalized communities; and the substantial investments of U.S. universities in the weapons industry.

I propose an additional explanation. For too long, U.S. physicians have been blind to the paradox within our training and healthcare system. As Eric Reinhart argues in a JAMA Commentary published last year, medical education has been political, but in a manner that is “overwhelmingly conservative, profoundly uncritical, and reflexively protective of an ethically bankrupt field that has spent a century building up a capitalist healthcare industry.” This has led doctors and medical students to accept and uphold a for-profit, market-driven healthcare system that often disregards how politics shapes our profession.

Medical professionals must speak out:

Dennis Meadows, one of the main authors of the Club of Rome’s The Limits to Growth, is an honorary member of the Club of Rome and a member of the World Economic Forum. If you thought his ideology had softened and become less anti-human since the publishing of his book, you’d be wrong.

Here’s a 2017 video of Meadows musing over his hopes that the coming inevitable genocide of 86% of the world population could be accomplished peacefully under a “benevolent” dictatorship.

He said:

“We could [ ] have eight or nine billion, probably, if we have a very strong dictatorship which is smart … and [people have] a low standard of living …

But we want to have freedom and we want to have a high standard of living so we’re going to have a billion people.

And we’re now at seven, so we have to get back down.  I hope that this can be slow, relatively slow and that it can be done in a way which is relatively equal, you know, so that people share the experience.”  . . . .

“'Systematic Extermination' - Italian Opposition Calls for Ambassador Recall after Israeli Fajr Massacre”

https://www.palestinechronicle.com/systematic-extermination-italian-opposition-calls-for-ambassador-recall-after-israeli-fajr-massacre/

by Palestine Chronicle Staff

Former Italian Prime Minister and leader of the Five Star Movement (M5S), Giuseppe Conte, has called for Italy to recall its ambassador to Israel following a deadly Israeli airstrike on the Tabaeen School in Gaza, which killed over 100 Palestinian civilians on Saturday.

“One hundred more Palestinian civilians, including many children and women, were blown to pieces by Israeli bombs dropped on a school-turned-shelter in Gaza, crowded during prayer time,” Conte wrote on his Instagram account on Sunday.

“Every day brings a new massacre, each more atrocious than the last, while those who survive the bombs die of hunger, thirst, and disease,” Conte added, stating that this constitutes “a systematic extermination carried out by an extremist government that justifies every massacre and theorizes a new ‘morality’ that allows two million Palestinians to starve.”

“‘Watering down’ Genocide: No More Moral Compromises on Palestine, Please”

https://www.blackagendareport.com/watering-down-genocide-no-more-moral-compromises-palestine-please

by  Ramzy Baroud

To further expose western duplicity in Gaza, we must learn to speak with no reservations, no matter the restrictions on the pro-Palestine voice or the censorship on social media.

Why are many amongst us still tiptoeing around language when it comes to the horrific Israeli genocide in Gaza?

Layers of censorship  imposed on Palestinian and pro-Palestinian voices in corporate and social media seem to have blurred the judgment of some. They continue to speak of a ‘conflict’, calling on ‘both sides’ to use ‘restraint’ and, partly, blaming the Palestinian Resistance for the ongoing Israeli massacres.

Though such language is expected from the ‘sensible’ few of mainstream media, there are those who are counted as ‘pro-Palestine’ intellectuals, journalists and activists who often use similar language.

Throughout the years, the common wisdom is that, for a pro-Palestine voice to be published in mainstream US-western newspapers, he or she would have to adhere to a certain set of rules and avoid certain adjectives to describe Israel – even if such vocabulary is consistent with good sense, international law or the judgment of leading human rights organizations.

By ‘watering down the language’, one supposedly gains greater credibility, thus space to be heard or published.

Equally true, it is also practically forbidden to defend the Palestinian people’s internationally recognized rights  to use all forms of resistance, or to support their democratic choices, because the outcomes of which are, maybe, not consistent with mainstream western thinking.

Some are even afraid to use the term ‘resistance’ altogether. But if Palestinians are denied their most basic right to resist, they become deprived of any human agency, let alone relevance as political actors. The notion would then suggest that Palestinians can only serve the role of victims, and nothing else. Not only is this untrue, and condescending, it is outright bigoted, as well.

All this tiptoeing around what should have been a clear language on Palestine, comes at a price. When the truth is masked or hidden, the space becomes open for lies, deceptions and quasi-truths.

In this alternative space, Israel is, at best, equally culpable for the ‘war’ in Palestine as the Palestinians themselves; and, at worst, the Israeli army is merely engaging in a state of self-defense.

Additionally, by tightly controlling the discourse on Palestine, the West has harmed its own interests. Indeed, by marginalizing authentic Palestinian voices, the West has lost its ability to understand the context behind the current Israeli war on Gaza, to accept or navigate its share of responsibility in the genocide and to play any meaningful role in bringing the atrocities to an end.

The outcome is an unavoidable cognitive dissonance – where western governments are violating the very rules they had created, opposing the laws they enshrined and investing in an Israeli genocide in Gaza, while criticizing  war elsewhere.

I doubt that the West will ever succeed in claiming any moral authority, retrieve its lost credibility or build lasting trust with Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims or the Global South. The extermination of one’s people entitles a person to some degree of cynicism.

To further expose western duplicity in Gaza, however, we must learn to speak with no reservations, no matter the restrictions on the pro-Palestine voice or the censorship on social media.

Naturally, not all Palestinians and pro-Palestinian voices agree on everything. There are those willing to risk everything, and those who want to tell some kind of truth without risking the loss of their privileges, careers or standing in society.

It is those in the former group who deserve platforms and must be celebrated for their courage.

One of the most inspiring examples are young students in US and western universities who have risked their own futures – as in being expelled from universities or denied their degrees – for raising  awareness about the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

Those students are the true leaders of justice-based solidarity movements, now and in the future.

They have understood that, due to the unprecedented censorship of authentic Palestinian voices in all media platforms, their actions on campuses, in the streets and every available venue are critical.

The risks they have taken by speaking out for Gaza’s genocide victims will serve as a new threshold of courage that will inspire the youth of this and future generations.

Equally important is that these students have refused to compromise on their language, their demands and their priorities to simply fit in, to get published or use genocide as an opportunity to build careers.

As for those who exploited the Palestinian suffering for their own benefit, neither history nor the rest of us will forgive their opportunism and intellectual timidity.

Those who are well-intentioned, but ‘water down’ their language to circumvent censorship, ultimately make little difference, because there are certain truths that cannot be softened or diluted.  . . . .

“Dangers and Lessons from the Perennial Israeli-Palestinian War: The Big Picture of Propaganda and False Flag Operations”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/dangers-lessons-perennial-israeli-palestinian-war-big-picture/5837437

by Prof Rodrigue Tremblay

False flag operations:

“The powers-that-be understand that to create the appropriate atmosphere for war, it is necessary to create within the general populace a hatred, fear or mistrust of others regardless of whether those others belong to a certain group of people or to a religion or a nation.” James Morcan (1978- ), New Zealander-born actor, writer, producer and a resident of Australia, 2014.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/bibi-netanyahu.jpeg

“I know what America is. America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction. They won’t get in our way.” Benjamin Netanyahu (1949- ), Israeli Prime Minister (1996-1999), (2009-2021) and (2022- ), addressing Israeli settlers in the West Bank, (as quoted in ‘Netanyahu: ‘America is a thing you can move very easily'”, The Washington Post, July 16, 2010.)

“We must remember that in time of war what is said on the enemy’s side of the front is always propaganda, and what is said on our side of the front is truth and righteousness, the cause of humanity and a crusade for peace.” Walter Lippmann (1889-1974), American journalist, (in ‘Public Opinion’, 1922).

Those who want thwart the creation of a Palestinian state should support the strengthening of Hamas and the transfert of funds to Hamas.“ Benjamin Netanyahu (1949- ), Israeli Prime Minister, (during a meeting of the Likud party, in 2019).

Introduction:

Nowadays, almost all wars, involving governments with access to enormous propaganda resources, are either deliberately provoked or simply the result of false flag operations, camouflaged under a veil of lies and fake news. In time of war, all parties lie. With the help of passive or complacent medias, not one distracted person in a hundred can see clearly what is really going on.

by Borzzikman

(9:07)

In general, reading the articles of reputable Western experts, it becomes clear that even they do not believe that the operation in the Kursk region can save the Armed Forces of Ukraine from final defeat. Meanwhile, Russian war correspondent Andrei Rudenko declared that Russian marines from the 810th separate Guards Brigade destroyed an entire elite unit of Ukrainian paratroopers from the 82nd separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is reported that the Ukrainian paratroopers were destroyed to the West of the settlement of Martynovka'.

“War Widens in the Middle East”

with Glenn Greenwald and John Mearsheimer

(30:15)

In this video titled "What Is Israel Thinking As War Widens in the Middle East?" hosted by Glenn Greenwald, Dr. John Mearsheimer examines Israel's current strategies and challenges in its ongoing conflicts, particularly with Gaza and Iran. He highlights a divide between Israeli leaders, with Prime Minister Netanyahu favoring continued military action while others push for a ceasefire. Mearsheimer critiques Israel's reliance on military force, questioning its effectiveness in today's geopolitical context.

He also discusses concerns about Israel's future military manpower, noting that by 2050 nearly half the population could be ultra-Orthodox, who typically do not serve in the military. Mearsheimer raises concerns about Israel's missile defense capabilities against adversaries like Hamas and Hezbollah, and he suggests that some of Israel's actions may be driven by non-rational impulses, such as religious beliefs or a desire for vengeance.

Mearsheimer also addresses Israel's treatment of Palestinians, comparing it to apartheid, and draws parallels between Israeli and American reactions to traumatic events like October 7th and 9/11, respectively. He warns of potential instability in neighboring countries like Jordan and Egypt due to Israeli actions and criticizes the influence of the Israel Lobby on American foreign policy, which he believes limits the U.S.'s ability to pressure Israel.

Throughout, Mearsheimer expresses concern that Israel's current strategies may not be strategically sound and could have significant moral and geopolitical consequences.

“Patrick Lawrence: Israel Runs the U.S. No, the U.S. Runs Israel. No, Wait”

https://scheerpost.com/2024/08/10/patrick-lawrence-israel-runs-the-u-s-no-the-u-s-runs-israel-no-wait/

by Patrick Lawrence

That deranged speech Bibi Netanyahu delivered to a joint session of Congress last month: I cannot get it entirely out of my mind. It did not change anything — neither the Israeli prime minister nor his hosts seem to desire or intend to change anything in U.S.–Israeli relations. And in this way, there is not much to say about that weird hour the world’s No. 1 terrorist — yes, think about it and tell me I’m wrong — spent at the podium under the Capitol’s rotunda. But the speech did clarify certain things,  and then it raised an important question. Let us see about these matters.

There is, to begin with, the question of Netanyahu’s mental stability. If we consider his many outlandish assertions — Israel has minimized civilian casualties in Gaza, Israeli soldiers are to be commended for their moral conduct, those protesting in behalf of Palestinians are probably in Iran’s pay, and so on — we must conclude that the man given to such preposterous misrepresentations is, let’s say, perpendicular to reality.

I am sure Netanyahu spoke in large measure for effect. This must be so. But I am equally sure  —  note the demeanor in the videos, for instance — he was certain of the truth of what he had to say. Dr. Lawrence’s diagnosis: A man consumed with resentment and hatred, who has led Israel to the brink of a cataclysmic war at the irretrievable cost of its international standing, while dragging the U.S. into it (at similar cost), suffers from severe psychosis with symptoms of paranoia and obsessive-compulsive megalomania.

I do not say this to indulge some cheap denigration of one of the many contemptible political figures now walking around the Western world and its appendages. After Netanyahu’s notably strange performance in Congress July 24 — at times he seemed pure id — I say this diagnosis would hold in a clinical setting. We should all take note of this and brace ourselves accordingly. Never mind who’s driving the bus: It would be better in this case if no one were driving it.

There is also the reception Netanyahu enjoyed on Capitol Hill. Seventy-two ovations by my count, 60–odd of them standing, for a war criminal, a flouter of international law, a man who commits to waging “a seven-front war” across the Middle East?

Bibi’s big theme, running all through his remarks, was congruence, the perfect alignment of Israeli and American interests. Remember? “Our enemies are your enemies, our fight is your fight, and”—here the left fist pounded—“our victory is your victory.”

“War on Gaza: Two Al Jazeera journalists were killed - and the West is silent”

https://www.blackagendareport.com/war-gaza-two-al-jazeera-journalists-were-killed-and-west-silent

by  Linah Alsaafin

Israel's slaughter of media workers should ignite outrage and condemnation across the industry. But because they were Palestinian, the world looked away.

After 300 days of continuous coverage with my friend and companion Ismail al-Ghoul , I saw him without a head.”

These were the horrific words of Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif, his eyes streaming and pain etched deeply on to his face after 10 months of covering the unspeakable crimes wrought on his people by Israel ’s brutal genocide in Gaza .

His colleagues, correspondent Ghoul and camera operator Rami al-Rifi, were targeted by an Israeli drone while wearing their press gear and travelling in a car clearly marked as a news media vehicle.

Their slaughter, which Gaza’s government media office reported brought the number of Palestinian  journalists killed by Israel since 7 October to 165 , barely made a ripple in mainstream media.

Western journalists, many of whom profit and make their careers from covering our stories with thinly disguised opportunism and internalised racism, not only deny us the right to narrate, but they have also been nauseatingly silent over the industrial mass killing of their Palestinian counterparts.

Contrast this with the frenzy of coverage upon the Thursday release of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich  from a Russian prison. Yet, the two beheaded Palestinian journalists scarcely registered as a blip on the western media’s radar, a damning indictment of the profession itself.

The lack of empathy for Palestinian journalists from international organisations has also been concerning, with weak statements that express “concern” or endless repetitions of the “journalism is not a crime” adage. This comes instead of genuine action to protect those risking their lives to report from Gaza or to actively reject the Israeli talking points that set the agenda for many newsrooms.

The statement  from the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) in response to the killing of Ghoul and Rifi is a classic example, expressing “dismay” and feebly calling on Israel to “explain why two more Al Jazeera journalists have been killed in what appears to be a direct strike”.

Racism and dehumanization  . . . .

“America’s Perpetual War: Six Questions”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/americas-perpetual-war-six-questions/5822008

by Prof. Joseph H. Chung

Introduction:

Former American President Jimmy Carter said in 2018 that in America, there were 226 years of wars since its independence which took place 242 years ago thus leaving only 16 years of peace.

Since WWII, there were 32 American military conflicts involving dozens of countries. Some of these military conflicts have lasted for over twenty years and some others are still continuing.

In other words, the U.S. is a country of perpetual war. War is terribly destructive human activity. Millions of human beings have been sacrificed. Tens of trillions of dollars worth of housing, school, factories, hospitals and other infrastructure facilities have been destroyed in the countries which have been the target of American military attacks.

The perpetual war has destroyed the very foundation of freedom and democracy; it has prevented healthy and equitable economic development of the world; it has led to the violation of human rights; it has ruined traditional values of many countries and, above all, it has caused lasting human suffering.

America’s multi-trillion dollar perpetual war has denied and deprived millions of Americans of decent income, adequate housing, needed foods, necessary health care, safety on the street, reliable infrastructure facilities, essential education and other goods and services needed for descent living.

Before I go any further, I would like to quote the historical statement of President Dwight Eisenhower.

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone, it is spending the sweat of its labourers, the genius of its scientists, the hope of children. (President Dwight Eisenhower address to the North American Society of News editors, April 16, 1953)

In this paper, I am asking the following six questions:

·         How many wars has the U.S. undertaken since WWII?

·         How are the American wars organized?

·         What is the purpose of the American wars?

·         Who are the beneficiaries of the American wars?

·         What are the negative impacts of the American wars?

·         Will the American wars continue?

How many wars has the U.S. undertaken since WWII?

“From 1980s Neoliberalism to the Post Covid “‘New Normal’”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Klaus-Schwab-1-750x450-400x240.jpg

https://www.globalresearch.ca/1980s-neoliberalism-new-normal/5746761

by Colin Todhunter

Sold under the pretence of a quest for optimising well-being and ‘happiness’, capitalism thrives on the exploitation of peoples and the environment. What really matters is the strive to maintain viable profit margins. The prevailing economic system demands ever-increasing levels of extraction, production and consumption and needs a certain level of annual GDP growth for large firms to make sufficient profit.

But at some point, markets become saturated, demand rates fall and overproduction and overaccumulation of capital becomes a problem. In response, we have seen credit markets expand and personal debt increase to maintain consumer demand as workers’ wages have been squeezed, financial and real estate speculation rise (new investment markets), stock buy backs and massive bail outs and subsidies (public money to maintain the viability of private capital) and an expansion of militarism (a major driving force for many sectors of the economy).

We have also witnessed systems of production abroad being displaced for global corporations to then capture and expand markets in foreign countries.

The old normal

Much of what is outlined above is inherent to capitalism. But the 1980s was a crucial period that helped set the framework for where we find ourselves today.

Remember when the cult of the individual was centre stage? It formed part of the Reagan-Thatcher rhetoric of the ‘new normal’ of 1980s neoliberalism.

In the UK, the running down of welfare provision was justified by government-media rhetoric about ‘individual responsibility’, reducing the role of the state and the need to ‘stand on your own two feet’. The selling off of public assets to profiteering corporations was sold to the masses on the basis of market efficiency and ‘freedom of choice’.

The state provision of welfare, education, health services and the role of the public sector was relentlessly undermined by neoliberal dogma and the creed that the market (global corporations) constituted the best method for supplying human needs.

Thatcher’s stated mission was to unleash the entrepreneurial spirit by rolling back the ‘nanny state’. She wasted little time in crushing the power of the trade unions and privatising key state assets.

Despite her rhetoric, she did not actually reduce the role of the state. She used its machinery differently, on behalf of business. Neither did she unleash the ‘spirit of entrepreneurialism’. Economic growth rates under her were similar as in the 1970s, but a concentration of ownership occurred and levels of inequality rocketed.

“Pfizer's ‘Secret’ Report on the Covid ‘Vaccine’. Beyond Manslaughter. The Evidence is Overwhelming. The Vaccine Should Be Immediately Withdrawn Worldwide”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/video-pfizers-secret-report-on-the-covid-vaccine-beyond-manslaughter-the-evidence-is-overwhelming-the-vaccine-should-be-immediately-withdrawn-worldwide/5780561

by Prof Michel Chossudovsky

Why has the “Confidential Pfizer report” made public under Freedom of Information (FOI) in October 2021 not been quoted or referred to in parliamentary and public enquiries as a means to refuting the official narrative (which contends that the Covid-19 vaccine is “safe and effective”). Neither has it been the object of media coverage.

We have documented numerous public enquiries.

The evidence amply confirms that the Pfizer vaccine is a dangerous substance, resulting in deaths and adverse events. This is confirmed by the Pfizer Confidential Report released under FOI in October 2021. It come’s from the Horse’s Mouth.

Bombshell Study: Cancer Related Excess Mortality in England and Wales

A recent study on vaccine related excess mortality conducted by the team of Edward Dowd confirms the nature of the mRNA vaccine.

Dowd’s method was to analyze the number of deaths attributed to cancer in England and Wales between 2010 and 2022 [based on data] from the U.K. Office for National Statistics

He compared excess death rates, the difference between observed deaths and the baseline for expected deaths, before and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

He established a baseline of normal cancer death rates from 2010-2020 that was remarkably consistent with few deviations, he said — until the cancer death rates rose significantly in late 2021 in the U.K. following the vaccine rollout”

The table below pertains to excess deaths related to malignant neoplasm (cancerous tumor) in England and Wales, recorded in three consecutive years: 2020, 2021, and 2022 vs. a 10 year trend (2010-2019).

The data for excess mortality in 2020 (the year prior to the vaccine) are negative with the exception of “malignant neoplasm without specification of site”.

The vaccine was launched in December 2020

The COVID-19 vaccine was rolled-out in several phases in England and Wales starting on December 8, 2020  and extending into March-April 2021.

The upward movement in excess mortality (%) commences in 2021. The increase in excess mortality related to malignant neoplasm is tabulated for the two first years of the vaccine.

“Risk Stratification: COVID-19 Vaccine-Induced Cardiac Arrest”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/future-cardiac-arrest-covid-19-vaccination/5865203

by Dr. Peter McCullough

We continue to see vaccinated persons suffer cardiac arrests three years after most took the shots in 2021. Both Pfizer and Moderna mRNA have been found in human heart muscle at autopsy. Spike protein has been stained in biopsy samples of young men suffering from myocarditis.

Victims have been found to have circulating Spike protein but ineffective antibodies, probably IgG4 subclass, that fail to neutralize Spike and allow its assault on the heart.

Positron emission tomography data have disclosed a shift from free fatty acid to glucose in the human heart of virtually everyone who has taken a COVID-19 vaccine.

The PET pattern looks like global ischemia. This could be due to vaccine Spike protein hemagglutination in myocardial capillaries or cellular changes in mitochondrial respiration and substrate metabolism. Small patches of dysfunctional, inflamed, or scarred myocardium are sufficient to serve as a nidus for re-entrant ventricular tachycardia that can degrade to ventricular fibrillation and lead to cardiac arrest.

“Spatiotemporal Variation of Excess All-cause Mortality in the World (125 countries) During the COVID Period 2020-2023 Regarding Socio-Economic Factors and Public Health and Medical Interventions”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Death-Dead-Morgue-Toe-Tag-Feet-400x222.jpg

https://www.globalresearch.ca/spatiotemporal-variation-excess-all-cause-mortality-world-covid-period-socio-economic-factors-public-health-medical-interventions/5863341

by Prof Denis Rancourt, Dr. Joseph Hickey, and Prof. Christian Linard

We studied all-cause mortality in 125 countries with available all-cause mortality data by time (week or month), starting several years prior to the declared pandemic, and for up to and more than three years of the Covid period (2020-2023). The studied countries are on six continents and comprise approximately 35 % of the global population (2.70 billion of 7.76 billion, in 2019).

The overall excess all-cause mortality rate in the 93 countries with sufficient data in the 3-year period 2020-2022 is 0.392 ± 0.002 % of 2021 population, which is comparable to the historic rate of approximately 0.97 % of population over the course of the 1918 “Spanish Flu” pandemic.

By comparison, India (which is not included in the present study) had an April-July 2021 peak in excess all-cause mortality of 3.7 million deaths for its 2021 population of approximately 1.41 billion, which corresponds to an excess death rate of 0.26 % for 2021 alone (Rancourt, 2022).

Our calculated excess mortality rate (0.392 ± 0.002 %) corresponds to 30.9 ± 0.2 million excess deaths projected to have occurred globally for the 3-year period 2020-2022, from all causes of excess mortality during this period.

We also calculate the population-wide risk of death per injection (vDFR) by dose number (1st dose, 2nd dose, boosters) (actually, by time period), and by age (in a subset of European countries). Using the median value of all-ages vDFR for 2021-2022 for the 78 countries with sufficient data gives an estimated projected global all-ages excess mortality associated with the COVID-19 vaccine rollouts up to 30 December 2022: 16.9 million COVID-19-vaccine-associated deaths.

Large differences in excess all-cause mortality rate (by population) and in age-and-health-status-adjusted (P-score) mortality are incompatible with a viral pandemic spread hypothesis and are strongly associated with the combination (product) of share of population that is elderly (60+ years) and share of population living in poverty.

There are large North-South (Canada-USA-Mexico) differences in North America, and large East-West differences in Europe, which are due to large national jurisdictional differences, or discontinuities in socio-economic and institutional conditions. Such systematic differences in mortality and underlying structure are captured by hierarchical cluster analysis using a panel of (yearly) time series, including to some extent the likelihood of persistent excess all-cause mortality into 2023.

Excluding borderline cases, 28 countries (of 79 countries with sufficient data, 35 % of countries) have a high statistical certainty of persistent and significant excess all-cause mortality into 2023, compared to the extrapolated pre-Covid historic trend, excluding excess all-cause mortality from peak residuals extending out from 2022, and excluding accidentally large values: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, and USA. More research is needed to elucidate this phenomenon.

The spatiotemporal variations in national excess all-cause mortality rates allow us to conclude that the Covid-period (2020-2023) excess all-cause mortality in the world is incompatible with a pandemic viral respiratory disease as a primary cause of death. This hypothesis, although believed to be supported by testing campaigns, should be abandoned.

There Was No Pandemic. Dr. Denis Rancourt

Inconsistencies that disprove the hypothesis of a viral respiratory pandemic to explain excess all-cause mortality during the Covid period are seen on a global scale and include the following.

·         Near-synchronicity of onset, across several continents, of surges in excess mortality occurring immediately when a pandemic is declared by the WHO (11 March 2020), and never prior to pandemic announcement in any country

·         Excessively large country-to-country heterogeneity of the age-and-health-status-adjusted (P-score) mortality during the Covid period, including across shared borders between adjacent countries, and including in all time periods down to half years

·         Highly time variable age-and-health-status-adjusted (P-score) mortality in individual countries during and after the Covid period, including more-than-year-long periods of zero excess mortality, long-duration plateaus or regimes of high excess mortality, single peaks versus many recurring peaks, and persistent high excess mortality after a pandemic is declared to have ended (5 May 2023)

·         Strong correlations (all-country scatter plots) between excess all-cause mortality rates and socio-economic factors (esp. measures of poverty) change with time (by year and half year) during the Covid period, between diametrically opposite values (near-zero, large and positive, large and negative) of the Pearson correlation coefficient (e.g., Figure 29, first half of 2020 to first half of 2023)

One might tentatively add:  (con’d) . . . .

“‘Stunning’ 620% Higher Risk of Myocarditis After mRNA COVID Vaccines. Korean Study

https://www.globalresearch.ca/myocarditis-mrna-covid-vaccines/5864099

by John-Michael Dumais

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/south-korean-study-covid-autoimmune-1024x397.png

Researchers found a striking 620% increased risk of myocarditis and 175% increased risk of pericarditis in people who received the vaccine compared to historical controls.

The study also revealed a 62% increased risk for Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder.

The researchers did not highlight the the cardiac and GBS risks, but only used the data to confirm the validity of their study design, which focused on determining the risks of autoimmune diseases associated with mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.

The researchers found a 16% increased chance of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE — the most common lupus type) and a 58% higher risk of bullous pemphigoid (BP — large, fluid-filled blisters).

The study also revealed that booster shots were associated with slightly increased risks of several autoimmune connective tissue diseases (AI-CTDs), including alopecia areata (patchy hair loss), psoriasis (scaly, inflamed skin) and rheumatoid arthritis.

“Given that the risk of SLE and BP was increased in certain demographic conditions such as age and sex, long-term monitoring is necessary after mRNA vaccination for the development of AI-CTDs,” the study authors noted.

Brian Hooker, Ph.D., chief scientific officer at Children’s Health Defense (CHD), noted how the authors minimized the most alarming data but told The Defender the study was otherwise “very robust.”

Hooker said several other studies also show relationships between autoimmune disorders — including systemic lupus — and mRNA vaccination.

The Nature Communications article follows another South Korean study published in May that found significant increases in the incidence of Alzheimer’s disease and mild cognitive impairment following COVID-19 mRNA vaccination.

The mRNA slide of the above graphic is meant to depict the intensely complicated Genetic workings of the human body ; a system that has natural mRNA produced throughout the body in different parts of the body all working together to maintain the health of the body. The falling wrenches depict external and synthetic Genetics that has Never evolved or been part of the complex human body and could never integrate without predictable unpredictability.
The question and answer with Chat GPT is meant to expand on just how big a risk the mRNA vaccines are on what is otherwise a beautifully fine tuned natural human genetic balance.
Ahead of the Chat with Chat GPT, below is an important 3 minute preliminary Video to watch to get a basic understanding of natural mRNA that comes from the cell’s nucleus:

“Israel’s “Hit List” and Alleged “Information Terrorists”. Scott Ritter, Ali Abunimah, Al Mayadeen, …”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/al-mayadeen-israel-hit-list-information-terrorists/5865225

by Rima Najjar

I begin with Scott Ritter, because he has recently articulated what “worse” means in this context. Scott Ritter is a former US Marine intelligence officer who served in the former Soviet Union and is now an outspoken and widely watched critic of US foreign policy in Ukraine and Israel.

In a video clip broadcast on June 4th on Judging Freedom Podcast, he describes how, with the guidance and direction of the US State Department, Ukraine established a center for countering disinformation. That center now has a blacklist of “information terrorists” targeted for assassination. He and other Americans are on this hit list. Ritter goes on to say,

“… they said that an information terrorist must be hunted down and brought to justice the same way any terrorist would.

And I have been accused of saying things that make the Ukrainian government unhappy. They now say I must be hunted down and arrested, detained, killed as with any other terrorist in the world … with the US State Department’s support, [they] put out a weekly list that, you know, a weekly list where they say I am the number one of threat to truth.” (Minute 25:05 in the video below)

This is how we must understand what Israel is doing in renewing its ban on the broadcasts of Al Mayadeen Media Network, both visual and online. Israel has labeled the Network’s correspondents in Palestinian 1948 occupied territories and the occupied West Bank as “terrorists.” In a statement that describes the move as being, in itself, a form of terrorism, Al Mayadeen has this to say:

“The network emphasizes that labeling its correspondents in Palestinian 1948 occupied territories and the occupied West Bank as ‘terrorists’ is, in itself, a form of terrorism. Al Mayadeen warns against inflicting any harm on its journalists and asserts that it will not yield to any form of extortion or pressure, regardless of its impact or extent.

It is clear that the occupation views Al Mayadeen as an outlet that enjoys a strong presence and influence, exhibiting the utmost credibility and commitment to its morals. That is why the occupation reacts to the news outlet with a hysterical and puzzling degree of confusion when dealing with every word, image, and on-the-field presence, especially when Al Mayadeen contributes to quelling sedition, exposing and debunking lies, and calling out the crimes for what they are.”

A 2024 address to the Liberty Forum of Silicon Valley. Fauci refuses to help CNN amplify progressive TDS. More MPox fearporn from WHO and Tedros. And a new filly foal!

On Tuesday, 13 August 2024, I delivered my fourth annual address to the Liberty Forum of Silicon Valley, titled “Weaponized Fear.” Three general topics were covered:

1.      Psychological Bioterrorism – the systematic weaponization of existential fear of infectious disease to advance social, political, and financial objectives.

2.      The consequences of Nation-States deploying modern Psychological Warfare technology, developed for offshore combat and conflicts, on their own citizens.

3.      The role of economics, and in particular “Surveillance Capitalism,” as it interacts with the propaganda/censorship industrial complex and associated public/private partnership relationships.

The following is a lightly edited version of that speech.

“Bill Gates Plans for New Catastrophic Contagion”

Over time, it’s become clear that the globalist cabal seeking to implement a one world government repeatedly tell us what they’re about to do. Table top pandemic simulations, for example, are a form of dress rehearsal.

In 2017, Johns Hopkins Center of Health Security held a coronavirus pandemic simulation called the SPARS Pandemic 2025-2028 scenario. In October 2019, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in collaboration with Johns Hopkins and the World Economic Forum hosted Event 201.

As in the SPARS Pandemic scenario, Event 201 involved an outbreak of a highly infectious coronavirus, but the primary (if not sole) focus of the exercise was how to control information and keep “misinformation” in check, not how to effectively discover and share remedies.

October 23, 2022, Gates, Johns Hopkins and the World Health Organization cohosted “a global challenge exercise” dubbed “Catastrophic Contagion,” involving a novel pathogen called “severe epidemic enterovirus respiratory syndrome 2025” (SEERS-25), which primarily affects children and teens

Enterovirus D68 is typically associated with cold and flu-like illness in infants, children and teens. In rare cases, it’s also been known to cause viral meningitis and acute flaccid myelitis, a neurological condition resulting in muscle weakness and loss of reflexes. The virus they modeled in the Catastrophic Contagion simulation appears to be something similar to enterovirus D68, but worse

“Voyeurism, Celebrity and Surveillance: A Straight Line”

by Dr. Emanuel Garcia

Many years ago, while sitting somewhat mournfully in a dentist’s office after I had returned from overseas, I chanced upon a magazine in the waiting room: People. I leafed through a few pages of the new publication, recently launched, and which I’d never heard about, before tossing it back, shaking my head and saying to myself ‘This won’t go anywhere.’

Many years after that episode, I had heard about the new website Facebook that had elbowed its way onto the online scene, and I remember saying to myself, ‘I don’t think this will fly.’ I myself eventually joined Facebook for a total of five days before trying to delete my membership. I don’t believe it’s possible to delete a Facebook account, but I tried. In any case, when I read about posts discussing supermarket chips and breakfast choices, I had had enough.

My judgment about what appeals to the general public is obviously awful. People went on to become a juggernaut, and Facebook, well, Facebook is humming along quite dominantly.

People – real people, not the mag – seem endlessly curious about the lives of others, particularly those who have the advantages of wealth and notoriety. It’s not far different from how I imagine the ancient Greeks engaged with the intrigues of the Olympic gods and goddesses. Fair enough. But this is itself a reflection of the apparently endless human fascination with itself.

As I open up my browser and delve into YouTube, there are countless heads and faces, countless opinions, countless human images accorded varying degrees of importance and themselves a kind of magnet for our wandering attention.

Then too, with the advent of the internet, virtually everything is recorded – the ‘lifelog’ that became the precursor to Facebook doesn’t let any of us get away with anything, it seems.  I was pulled over by the police a few years ago while making a home visit to a patient in a poorer part of the region. The officer was genial and I said something like, ‘I can’t remember the last time I had a traffic violation’. He replied, ‘You were given a speeding ticket in 2008’ (10 years before).

“Planned NATO-Kiev Assassination of Putin and Defense Minister Belousov: How NATO and Neo-Nazi Junta Lunatics Nearly Blew Up the World”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/zelensky-stoltenberg-400x267.jpeg

On July 28, Russia was celebrating the Navy Day with a parade in St. Petersburg. Most of the top officials were present, including President Vladimir Putin and the new Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. The former has been presiding over Russia’s resurgence to superpower status, achieving unrivaled milestones in the last nearly 25 years.

The latter is the architect of Moscow’s unprecedented economic resilience that resulted in the country zooming past both Germany and Japan, making it the fourth largest economy in the world now. Impressed by Belousov’s results, Putin entrusted him with the Ministry of Defense (MoD), a reshuffling that has been followed by a massive increase in military spending, incomparable to anything seen since the (First) Cold War ended. Thus, it can be argued that Putin and Belousov are now the Eurasian giant’s two most important policymakers.

Expectedly, all this makes both of them prime targets for Russia’s enemies. It’s virtually a given they think that removing such people would be a deadly blow to the Kremlin and it seems that’s precisely what they tried to do.

Namely, according to Moscow’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, the Neo-Nazi junta and the United States were preparing an assassination attempt on Putin and Belousov precisely during the Navy Day parade in St. Petersburg.

Russian intelligence services uncovered the plot and prevented it from going forward.

Obviously, the Kremlin was furious, but unlike Washington DC, it’s run by sane people who don’t want to see the world blown up. Thus, Defense Minister Belousov himself talked to his US counterpart Lloyd Austin and politely explained it would dawn at 3:00 AM if anything like this were to happen again.

“US-NATO Are Afraid China Will Play an Active Role in Ukraine”

by Drago Bosnic

After the unfortunate dismantling of the USSR and Ukraine’s formal independence, the country was awash with high-tech weapons, industries, massive human capital and an enormous pool of natural resources “just waiting” to be exploited by foreigners.

As all of it found itself outside of the Soviet Union’s tight-knit command economy, it stopped functioning as intended. This colossal system that was previously very clear about everything and everyone’s role suddenly became divided into 15 “independent” parts that still needed each other to function. Initially, it still worked somehow, but the political West soon exploited the situation in the now defunct USSR and used its economic “hitmen” to launch the so-called “shock therapy” which effectively destroyed the economies of most former Soviet republics (with the notable exception of Belarus, where Alexander Lukashenko preserved the state system).

In such a situation, Russia found itself on the receiving end of those policies and couldn’t do much even if it wanted to, while China was still building its global power status. Thus, Beijing sought to acquire as many critical technologies and resources as possible, with a special focus on surface naval assets that it found strategically important. The crown achievement of this was the acquisition of the “Varyag”, a Soviet Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier that was wasting away in the Nikolayev Shipyard. After years of delays and American attempts to prevent the deal, China finally got the ship in 2002. The Asian giant also acquired an unfinished Su-33 (T-10K-3 prototype) from Ukraine, which was then reverse-engineered into the carrier-based J-15. Seeing just how many Soviet technologies China was getting from Ukraine, the United States was determined to prevent this at all costs.

This was to be accomplished either by dismantling (or simply destroying) various enterprises in the country or just putting them under the control of various puppet regimes in Kiev. The Zaporozhye-based “Motor Sich” was a particularly prized Soviet-era aircraft engine manufacturer that Beijing sought to acquire and transfer its technological know-how to China. However, in the aftermath of the NATO-backed Neo-Nazi coup, resulting in the start of the Ukrainian conflict, the US prevented any and all deals that it deemed “a national security risk”. Thus, “Motor Sich” was cut off from both Russia and China, the former being its biggest client, while the latter nearly became one. The company ameliorated this to some degree by cooperating with Turkey, but this was nowhere near its old Soviet-era glory. Either way, this showed China and the world that Ukraine simply lacks sovereignty.

Incapable of honoring international agreements, the Kiev regime has been kept under a firm US (neo)colonial grip for over a decade at this point, leaving Beijing uninterested in building closer ties with it. On the other hand, many elements within the Neo-Nazi junta itself wanted to thwart any potential for cooperation with China. One of the most prominent proponents of Sinophobic tendencies in the Kiev regime was the late General Viktor Gvozd, a former head of the infamous GUR, as well as the SZR (Foreign Intelligence Service), a rough counterpart to Russia’s SVR. Under Gvozd, the US and NATO acquired exclusive control over the Ukrainian intelligence apparatus. He was tasked with “purging Russian elements” from all services (or more precisely, any that weren’t pro-Western), making sure that the new NATO-backed Neo-Nazi regime fully controls the country by any means necessary, including through terror and brutality.

“Battlefield Inferno: 14,000 Ukrainian Soldiers Downed in Russian Storm”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gvOgZbqNmw&si=JHA4QHuGrokW6lJF

by Times Now World

(9:07)

In the past week, Russian forces have launched a series of high-precision strikes across Ukraine, leading to substantial casualties and significant tactical gains. From August 3 to August 9, 2024, Russia's offensive operations, which included 19 combined strikes with precision weapons and drones, have resulted in approximately 13,925 Ukrainian military casualties. Key targets included energy facilities, air defense systems, and arms depots. In the Kursk region, Russian forces repelled Ukrainian incursions, inflicting around 945 casualties. Meanwhile, Battlegroup South and Battlegroup West have made notable advances, impacting 13 Ukrainian brigades and 11 brigades respectively, with a total of 7,500 casualties reported. The Donetsk People's Republic saw significant victories with the liberation of three communities, but at the cost of approximately 2,520 Ukrainian casualties. Air and naval operations have seen Russian forces downing multiple Ukrainian aircraft and UAVs, while a psychological impact has been noted with over 50 Ukrainian soldiers surrendering. Amidst the chaos, Ukrainian forces launched a major operation within Russian territory, prompting President Vladimir Putin to declare a state of emergency in Kursk and Belgorod. Putin has accused Ukraine of a "large-scale provocation" as the conflict continues to escalate.

“The US Is Preparing for an Unwinnable War Against China?”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/us-preparing-unwinnable-war-china/5864768

by Megan Russell

That’s not just considering the mass loss of life that would occur, but also the reverberating effects of war that would sink millions into economic devastation, destroy the environment, and lead to widespread displacement and human rights atrocities.

The potential use of nuclear weapons is often disregarded as a side note, but it shouldn’t be. According to experts, conflict between the US and China could easily escalate into nuclear war– and a nuclear winter isn’t much farther away.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Charles Q. Brown disagrees. He says he is “fully confident” that the US would defeat China if war were to break out over Taiwan, even though the Commission on National Defense Strategy predicts extreme losses on the US side. Just last week he announced,

“It’s going to take all the nation if we go to conflict with the PRC, and I’m confident, if we’re challenged, we will be there.”

“I play to win,” he continued, after acknowledging that “these will be major conflicts akin to what we saw in WW2, and so we’ve got to come to grips with that.”

Born in 1962, Gen. Brown knows nothing of the horrors of WW2. For him, it’s words in a textbook– a game to “play.” For others, it will be lost limbs and terror.

The US has been in near constant conflict since its inception, and our more recent wars paint an obvious vision of ineptitude. The only things Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan accomplished were widespread death and destruction. Violence does not end just because war does, but hangs over communities like a specter, negatively affecting the health and economic wellbeing of nations, as well as contributing to environmental harm.

While our government has been edging us towards war with China for some time, it’s not often we hear the words spoken so starkly. Gen. Brown’s point is clear: the US is preparing for war, and they’re not holding back.

This week, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin brought $500 million to the Philippines to boost their military capabilities. Meanwhile, Secretary of State Antony Blinken was negotiating a deal to move US operational control of Japanese forces from Hawaii to Japan.

Make no mistake: this is not another small play of some far-away war game. This is a big deal.

Having operational control over Japan’s military means our government doesn’t need to send as many American soldiers across the ocean to engage in battle. They’ll have full command and control of thousands of Japanese troops to do with as they please. The US already has operational control over South Korea’s military, meaning that if war broke out, all ROK troops would be placed under US command as well.

This isn’t just about war strategy– it’s about public perception. The American people are far more likely to support a war when they aren’t losing loved ones left and right. That might be the only lesson our government learned from Vietnam, and Iraq only solidified it. Drones and special forces won’t cut it in a war with China, which is why the US is working overtime to solidify military partnerships across the Asia Pacific.

Modern US war-waging often occurs through the use of proxy states and funding the troops of another country as long as they act in US interests. They’ll call it military strategy, but at the very root of it, you’ll find a dark feeling of indifference towards the citizens of other nations. Our government could not care less what happens to innocent people in Japan, South Korea, or the Philippines– as long as US global hegemony is preserved, they will let them die.

Meanwhile, opposition has been growing within. In South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines, protests are on the rise, calling for an end to US imperialism. The people don’t want to be cannon fodder between the US and China, which is exactly what will happen if the situation escalates into war.

At a Foreign Relations Committee hearing last week on strategic warfare with China (the 7th so far), Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell stressed the importance of AUKUS and other trilateral partnerships when dealing with China. “This will be never ending,” Campbell told the committee, emphasizing that the Asia Pacific “requires the most capable naval and advanced long-range air capabilities that the United States has ever needed before.”

Well, alliances are being made and billions of tax dollars continue to fund hyper-militarization of the region. Gen. Brown even commented that he is accelerating the effort of stockpiling weapons, ammunition, and other supplies in the Asia Pacific in preparation for war.

Just a few months ago, a trilateral summit between Japan, the Philippines, and the United States deepened their military alliance in the region. Biden reaffirmed the US-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty, which states the US will respond to any attack on the island nation. AUKUS, which Secretary Campbell repeatedly stressed the importance of, is a defense alliance between the US, the UK, and Australia in the Asia Pacific region. Criticized by China for its “cold war mentality,” the strategic partnership is not unlike those that led us into global wars during the 20th century.

Everywhere we look, our government speaks of war with China as if it is an inevitable and warranted endeavor. It’s not. War never is. . . .

“Nuclear War Is "On the Table". Build Awareness. Say No to A Two Trillion Dollar Nuclear Weapons Program!”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/is-the-bush-administration-planning-a-nuclear-holocaust-2/2032

by Prof Michel Chossudovsky

Today, the dangers of military escalation are beyond description.

What is now happening in Ukraine has serious geopolitical implications. It could lead us into a World War III Scenario.

Vladimir Putin’s statement on February 21st, 2022 was in response to US threats to use nuclear weapons on a preemptive basis against Russia, despite Joe Biden’s “reassurance” that the US would not be resorting to “A First Strike” nuclear attack against an enemy of America.

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/livre-Chossudovsky.jpg

The  article below first published in February 2006 addresses US Military Doctrine focussing on the integration of nuclear and conventional warfare.

The results of this research were subsequently integrated into my book entitled Towards A World War Three Scenario, The Dangers of Nuclear War, Global Research Publishers, 2011.

Having carefully reviewed US military doctrine for more than 20 years, I can confirm that under the Biden Administration, preemptive nuclear war against  Russia, China, Iran and North Korea is “on the table”.

It should be noted that Joe Biden’s 1.3 trillion dollars nuclear weapons program is slated to increase to 2 trillion by 2030 allegedly as a means to safeguarding peace and national security at taxpayers expense.

How many schools and hospitals could you finance with 2 trillion dollars?

Truth is a Powerful and Peaceful Weapon, which is the object of Google and Facebook censorship.

Nuclear War Threatens the Future of Humanity. No mainstream media analysis. That statement is the object of  censorship.

Say No to Joe Biden’s $1.2 Trillion Nuclear Weapons Program.

SAY YES TO WORLD PEACE

Please forward this article, post it on your blog. Spread the word. Initiate a campaign against nuclear war.

It Started with Harry Truman

https://www.globalresearch.ca/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Truman-9511121-1-402-300x300.jpg

“We have discovered the most terrible bomb in the history of the world. It may be the fire destruction prophesied in the Euphrates Valley Era, after Noah and his fabulous Ark…. This weapon is to be used against Japan … [We] will use it so that military objectives and soldiers and sailors are the target and not women and children. Even if the Japs are savages, ruthless, merciless and fanatic, we as the leader of the world for the common welfare cannot drop that terrible bomb on the old capital or the new. …  The target will be a purely military one… It seems to be the most terrible thing ever discovered, but it can be made the most useful.”

(
President Harry S. Truman, Diary, July 25, 1945)

Remember Hiroshima: “A Military Base” according to Harry Truman

“The World will note that the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima a military base. That was because we wished in this first attack to avoid, insofar as possible, the killing of civilians..” (President Harry S. Truman in a radio speech to the Nation, August 9, 1945).

[Note: the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945; the Second on Nagasaki, on August 9, on the same day as Truman’s radio speech to the Nation]

(Listen to Excerpt of Truman’s speech, Hiroshima audio video, link n longer active)

The Unthinkable

At no point since the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945, has humanity been closer to the unthinkable.  All the safeguards of the Cold War era, which categorized the nuclear bomb as “a weapon of last resort” have been scrapped. “Offensive” military actions using nuclear warheads are now described as acts of “self-defense”.

The distinction between tactical nuclear weapons and the conventional battlefield arsenal has been blurred. America’s new nuclear doctrine is based on “a mix of strike capabilities”. The latter, which specifically applies to the Pentagon’s planned aerial bombing of Iran,  envisages the use of nukes in combination with conventional weapons.

As in the case of the first atomic bomb, which in the words of President Harry Truman “was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base”, today’s “mini-nukes” are heralded as “safe for the surrounding civilian population”.

“It’s the End of the World As We Know It. The American-NATO Rush Toward Nuclear War with Russia”

https://www.globalresearch.ca/american-nato-rush-nuclear-war-russia/5860701

by Scott Ritter

The news isn’t good. Last month, on May 6, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it would, on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin, conduct exercises involving the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons. According to Russian officials, the exercises were a response to “provocative statements and threats from certain Western officials directed at the Russian Federation.”

The Russians were responding to statements made by French President Emmanuel Macron to The Economist on May 2, where he declared that

“I’m not ruling anything out [when it comes to deploying French troops to Ukraine], because we are facing someone [Putin] who is not ruling anything out.” Macron added that “if Russia decided to go further [advancing in Ukraine], we will in any case all have to ask ourselves this question (whether to send of troops).”

While Macron described his remarks as a “strategic wake-up call for my counterparts,” it was clear not everyone was buying into what he was selling. “If a NATO member commits ground troops [to Ukraine],” Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said after Macron’s words became public, “it will be a direct NATO-Russia confrontation, and then it will be World War III.”

The Russians conducted their exercises in two phases, with the first taking place in late May. There, the tactical missile forces of the Southern Military District practiced “the task of obtaining special training ammunition for the Iskander tactical missile system, equipping them with launch vehicles and secretly moving to the designated position area to prepare for missile launches.”

The Iskander-M is the nuclear-capable version of the Iskander family of missiles and can carry a single nuclear warhead with a variable yield of between 5 and 50 kilotons. (By way of comparison, the American atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima had a yield of 15 kilotons.) The single-stage solid rocket missile flies at high hypersonic speeds, and possesses a maneuvering warhead, making it virtually impossible to shoot down. With a range of 500 kilometers, the Iskander-M, when fired from locations in Crimea, would be able to reach French bases located in Romania, which ostensibly would be used to surge forces into Ukraine.

The second phase of the exercises took place on June 10, when the Russian and Belorussian forces practiced the transfer of Russian nuclear weapons to Belorussian control as part of the new Russian nuclear sharing doctrine put in place by Vladimir Putin and his Belorussian counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, earlier this year. The weapons involved included the Iskander-M missile and gravity bombs that would be delivered by modified Belorussian SU-25 aircraft. The weapons would put all of Poland and the Baltic States under the threat of nuclear attack.

Around the same time that Russia was carrying out its tactical nuclear drills, several NATO nations, including Germany, announced that they had given Ukraine the green light to use weapons it had provided to strike targets inside Russia. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, speaking on the sidelines of a NATO foreign ministers meeting in Prague on May 29, said Ukraine had the right to strike legitimate military targets inside Russia.

“Ukraine has the right for self-defense,” Stoltenberg declared, adding that “we have the right to help Ukraine uphold the right for self-defense, and that does not make NATO allies a party to the conflict.”

Putin took time from his visit to Uzbekistan to reply, warning that NATO members in Europe were playing with fire by proposing to let Ukraine use Western weapons to strike deep inside Russia. Putin said Ukrainian strikes on Russia with long-range weapons would need Western satellite, intelligence and military assistance, thus making any Western help in this regard a direct participant in the conflict.

“Constant escalation can lead to serious consequences,” Putin said. “If these serious consequences occur in Europe, how will the United States behave, bearing in mind our parity in the field of strategic weapons? It’s hard to say,” Putin said, answering his own question. “Do they want a global conflict?”

On June 5, speaking to an audience of senior editors of international news agencies while attending the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin observed that,

“For some reason, the West believes that Russia will never use it [nuclear weapons]. We have a nuclear doctrine,” Putin noted. “Look what it says. If someone’s actions threaten our sovereignty and territorial integrity, we consider it possible for us to use all means at our disposal. This should not be taken lightly, superficially.”

READ MORE: NY Times: “Frustrated” Putin Could Use Nukes in Ukraine

But the US and NATO were doing just that. In an interview to the British Telegraph newspaper given at NATO’s headquarters building in Brussels, Belgium, Stoltenberg said that NATO members were consulting about deploying more nuclear weapons, taking them out of storage and placing them on standby in the face of a growing threat from Russia and China.

“I won’t go into operational details about how many nuclear warheads should be operational and which should be stored, but we need to consult on these issues,” Stoltenberg said.  . . . .

“Video: ‘Wiping Gaza Off The Map’: Big Money Agenda. Confiscating Palestine’s Maritime Natural Gas Reserves”

with Felicity Arbuthnot and Prof Michel Chossudovsky

Israel has launched an invasion (October 7, 2023) of the Gaza Strip.

As outlined by Felicity Arbuthnot with foresight 10 years ago in a December, 30 2013 article:

“Israel is set to become a major exporter of gas and some oil, “If All Goes to Plan”.

In the current context, Israel’s “All Goes to Plan” option consists in bypassing Palestine and “Wiping Gaza off the Map”,  as well confiscating ALL Gaza’s maritime offshore gas reserves, worth billions of dollars.

The ultimate objective is not only to exclude Palestinians from their homeland, it consists in confiscating the multi-billion dollar Gaza offshore Natural Gas reserves, namely those pertaining to the BG (BG Group) in 1999, as well the Levant discoveries of 2013.

Update. Israel’s Secret Intelligence Memorandum

An official “secret” memorandum authored by Israel’s  Ministry of Intelligenceis recommending the forcible and permanent transfer of the Gaza Strip’s 2.2 million Palestinian residents to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula”, namely to a refugee camp in Egyptian territory. There are indications of Israel-Egypt negotiations  as well as consultations with the U.S.

The 10-page document, dated Oct. 13, 2023, bears the logo of the Intelligence Ministry … assesses three options regarding the future of the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip … It recommends a full population transfer as its preferred course of action. … The document, whose authenticity was confirmed by the ministry, has been translated into English in full here on +972. “As a former IDF soldier and historian of genocide, I was deeply disturbed by my recent visit to Israel “

https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/aug/13/israel-gaza-historian-omer-bartov

by Omer Bartov

On 19 June 2024, I was scheduled to give a lecture at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) in Be’er Sheva, Israel. My lecture was part of an event about the worldwide campus protests against Israel, and I planned to address the war in Gaza and more broadly the question of whether the protests were sincere expressions of outrage or motivated by antisemitism, as some had claimed. But things did not work out as planned.

When I arrived at the entrance to the lecture hall, I saw a group of students congregating. It soon transpired that they were not there to attend the event but to protest against it. The students had been summoned, it appeared, by a WhatsApp message that went out the day before, which flagged the lecture and called for action: “We will not allow it! How long will we commit treason against ourselves?!?!?!??!!”

The message went on to allege that I had signed a petition that described Israel as a “regime of apartheid” (in fact, the petition referred to a regime of apartheid in the West Bank). I was also “accused” of having written an article for the New York Times, in November 2023, in which I stated that although the statements of Israeli leaders suggested genocidal intent, there was still time to stop Israel from perpetrating genocide. On this, I was guilty as charged. The organiser of the event, the distinguished geographer Oren Yiftachel, was similarly criticised. His offences included having served as the director of the “anti-Zionist” B’Tselem, a globally respected human rights NGO.

As the panel participants and a handful of mostly elderly faculty members filed into the hall, security guards prevented the protesting students from entering. But they did not stop them from keeping the lecture hall door open, calling out slogans on a bullhorn and banging with all their might on the walls.

After over an hour of disruption, we agreed that perhaps the best step forward would be to ask the student protesters to join us for a conversation, on the condition that they stop the disruption. A fair number of those activists eventually walked in and for the next two hours we sat down and talked. As it turned out, most of these young men and women had recently returned from reserve service, during which they had been deployed in the Gaza Strip.

“The People’s Court of New Normal Germany (Part Two)”

So, my second trial for alleged thoughtcrime-tweeting is going ahead as planned on August 15 in Berlin Superior Court (Das Kammergericht). Full-blown anti-terrorism security protocols will be in effect in the courtroom. Yes, that’s right, the Berlin Superior Court denied my attorney’s motion to rescind their special Security Order, so the German authorities will be putting on an elaborate official show of force, which everyone is welcome to attend!

Or, actually, according to the Security Order, only 35 people are welcome to attend. That’s one of the anti-terrorism security protocols. Also, if you do attend, you’ll have to surrender all your personal possessions (i.e., notebooks, phones, wallets, pens, pencils, other writing instruments, wristwatches, hats, and other head coverings, etc.) and any outwear (i.e., jackets, scarves, etc.) and totally empty your pockets of all items, presumably into a plastic bin like the ones they use at airport security, which the Court’s security personnel will carry away and store somewhere while you attend the trial, and which the Superior Court expressly denies any liability for (i.e., for your items). Once you have surrendered all your possessions, and have been body-scanned and metal-detected, and possibly physically patted down, you will be admitted into Room 145a, where you will have to sit in the rear five rows of the gallery, behind a presumably bullet-proof security barrier, so that the security staff can monitor you during the proceedings.

And on and on and on it goes. Today, at the eleventh hour, the Berlin Superior Court postponed my trial, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow, August 15, 2024, for reasons that remain unclear.

It would be wrong, and bad, to speculate about the Superior Court’s reasons for this eleventh-hour postponement. Such unwarranted speculation might even qualify as “misinformation,” and call down the wrath of the German authorities, or the UK authorities, or … God help me, Thierry Breton Himself!

Nevertheless, here’s what happened during the lead-up to my suddenly postponed trial.

On August 12, my attorney filed a motion alleging bias on the part of the Superior Court judge that issued the so-called “Security Order” that I reported on in Part One and Part Two of this series of columns. We filed this motion after our earlier motions to have the Order lifted were summarily denied.

And this morning, a rather extensive article about my prosecution was published in the Berliner Zeitung, a major German newspaper. Despite the fact that this story has received a considerable amount of international press coverage, this is the first piece published by the mainstream German press.

“Racists Riot in Britain”

https://www.blackagendareport.com/racists-riot-britain

by Margaret Kimberley

The United Kingdom’s ugly history of subjugating people in the global south has created a deeply racist country. The criminal ruling class exploits, but white racism blames the desperate newcomer.

The United Kingdom has recently experienced a wave of rioting and blame is placed upon people referred to as “the far right.” The individuals who fought police, looted, burned mosques, and physically attacked African descended people, are of the right wing politically, but they should be called racists. It is racism that has been accepted and amplified by the British political class and the media. It is racism that has created feelings of grievance among so many white people there. Britain’s politics have long been motivated by white supremacist thinking, and today’s rioters should not be let off the hook with a euphemism that doesn’t fully explain their actions.

It is literally true that the sun never set on the British empire. Sixty-five different countries celebrate days of independence from that hegemon, from Jamaica to India to Malaysia to Ghana, millions of people lived under British imperial subjugation. Their freedom was hard won, such as in Kenya where thousands of people were incarcerated in prison camps or killed during the independence struggle in the 1950s. The crimes of torture and murder were covered up when records regarding Kenya, Guyana, and other countries were moved or destroyed.

Britain’s history of invading most of the world must be remembered whenever its white population complains about immigration, as they are doing right now, committing mob attacks on Black and brown people, and violence against asylum seekers.

After riding high for several centuries, the United Kingdom is a shell of its former self, no longer a financial or military power. It has nuclear weapons given to it by the U.S., and a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council, also given by the U.S. This vassal state now offers assistance in invading Iraq, destroying Libya, or acting as the propaganda and black ops headquarters during the war against Syria. Most recently the UK’s then prime minister Boris Johnson played a leading role in scuttling the peace talks that could have ended the Ukraine proxy war shortly after it began in 2022. The state exists as a foot soldier of the U.S. And, like the U.S., it is controlled by a predatory ruling capitalist class.

The has-been empire has shriveled up to a de-industrialized state with years of austerity policies causing people to be so food insecure that their children are shorter than those in other countries. Of course white supremacy can always be offered up as a palliative, which is why the killing of three children by the teenaged son of Rwandan immigrants stirred so much ire and racial hatred.

“Whitney Webb: ‘Trump, JD Vance bankrolled by CIA and Mossad backed Peter Thiel’”

https://scheerpost.com/2024/08/06/whitney-webb-trump-jd-vance-bankrolled-by-cia-and-mossad-backed-peter-thiel/

by Mnar Adley

(1:03:59)

It is election season once again, and that means that the world’s eyes are drawn to our corrupt two-party duopoly. With a rapidly aging Biden decaying in front of us, Donald Trump is now a heavy favorite to become Commander-in-Chief of the US empire once more.

Trump has chosen JD Vance as his running mate, a character made and financed by Silicon Valley and surveillance state billionaire Peter Thiel. It seems no matter whom you vote for, our national security state – and that of Israel – will be the winner.

Peter Thiel’s CIA-tech empire “Palantir” helped Israel develop the AI lavender system, which has been used by the Israeli military to target civilian homes and children and completely decimate the world’s largest concentration camp with precision.

However, this is not Peter Thiel’s first ride in the Trump campaign as he helped bankroll Trump himself in the 2016 election and even worked in his cabinet to advance the surveillance state by collecting our data during COVID.

Despite Trump campaigning as a populist anti-establishment draining the swamp, he is the swamp, and he’s planning on overfilling his swamp with figures like Peter Thiel, who will take our technocratic surveillance state and war machine to the next level – far worse than what we say during COVID.

And who better to help us learn more about this than one of the most influential journalists of our time – Whitney Webb. She’s the contributing editor of Unlimited Hangout and the author of “One Nation Under Blackmail.” Whitney is also a former MintPress investigative journalist.

“Mega Group, Maxwells and Mossad: The Spy Story at the Heart of the Jeffrey Epstein Scandal”

https://unlimitedhangout.com/2019/08/investigative-series/mega-group-maxwells-and-mossad-the-spy-story-at-the-heart-of-the-jeffrey-epstein-scandal/

by Whitney Webb

The picture painted by the evidence is not a direct Epstein tie to a single intelligence agency but a web linking key members of the Mega Group, politicians, and officials in both the U.S. and Israel, and an organized-crime network with deep business and intelligence ties in both nations.

“Meet Ghislaine: Heiress to an Espionage Empire”

https://unlimitedhangout.com/2022/03/investigative-reports/meet-ghislaine-heiress-to-an-espionage-empire/

by Whitney Webb

More than just being the favorite child of her father, Ghislaine Maxwell was at the center of the influence operation and the web of businesses linked to organized crime and intelligence that Robert Maxwell set up in New York City before his 1991 death.

Despite being found guilty late last year for her role in sex crimes against minors, Ghislaine Maxwell, the “madam” and chief accomplice of the intelligence-linked pedophile and sex trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein, may soon walk free. A juror in the case, Scotty David, subsequently took credit for the jury’s decision to find Ghislaine Maxwell guilty and “inadvertently” revealed that he had incorrectly answered a pretrial questionnaire. As a result, the possibility of a mistrial, and Ghislaine walking free, now looms large.

David has some interesting connections, as he currently works for the Carlyle Group—the global investment firm whose ties to the bin Laden family during the early 2000s have come under scrutiny. Carlyle’s executives often have ties to intelligence, with one example being its chairman emeritus, Frank Carlucci, having been deputy director of the CIA and, later, Reagan’s secretary of defense. Carlyle’s current cofounder and cochairman David Rubenstein, as noted in the Free Press Report, served on the board of the influential Trilateral Commission at the same time as Jeffrey Epstein, while his ex-wife Alice Rogoff (divorced in 2017) had a very close working relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell, including with her now defunct “charity,” the TerraMar Project. Given that there are known ties between David’s employer and Ghislaine Maxwell, why has this potential conflict of interest gone unmentioned by mainstream media?

Not only that, but—according to a family member of one of the women who testified against Maxwell during her trial—David was connected with the journalist who published the now infamous postverdict report via Vicky Ward. Ward has been denounced by Epstein victims and others close to the case for having had a chummy relationship with Ghislaine Maxwell in the past, which she declined to disclose for years, and for telling Ghislaine that Epstein victim Maria Farmer had been the person who had first reported Maxwell and Epstein to the FBI back in 1996. Farmer claims that Ward’s lack of journalistic integrity, after promising to keep Farmer’s identity secret, put her life in danger and forced her into hiding.

It seems that there is, yet again, a major cover-up in the works, one that involves major centers of financial and political power in New York City and beyond. In order to fully understand the sexual trafficking and blackmail operation that Maxwell and Epstein oversaw, and why powerful forces apparently continue to intervene in the case, one must first understand its genesis, particularly how and why Ghislaine Maxwell arrived in New York City. In this second installment of “Meet Ghislaine”—read Part 1 here—the beginnings of Ghislaine’s career, which was closely controlled by her father, Robert Maxwell, until his 1991 death, are followed in detail.

“This is What’s Wrong With Capitalism”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljJ5lEa4uFM&si=pZabZoN-vThnYm34

with Jimmy Dore and Richard Wolf

(36:13)

Belief in the idyllic qualities of capitalism may be the closest thing to a national religion we have in the United States. Extolling the virtues of the free market is a near prerequisite for any political figure to win public office. Yet the flaws of American-style capitalism are evident to anyone willing to merely look around — considering issues like homelessness, overwork, income inequality, environmental destruction, social isolation, empty consumerism, and many others. Jimmy speaks with economics professor Richard Wolff about the boom and bust cycle of capitalism and how worker coops point the way to emerging from all these social ills wrought by the existing system.

“Capitalism, Mass Anger and the 2024 Elections”

https://www.counterpunch.org/2024/08/14/capitalism-mass-anger-and-the-2024-elections/

by Richard D. Wolf

In the wake of his huge defeat on June 30, 2024, when 80 percent of voters rejected French “centrist” President Emmanuel Macron, he said he understood the French people’s anger. In the UK, Conservative loser Rishi Sunak said the same about the British people’s anger, as Labor leader Starmer now says as the anger explodes. Of course, such phrases from such politicians usually mean little or nothing and accomplish less. Such leaders and their parties just keep calculating how best to regain power when they lose it. In that, they are like the U.S. Democrats after Biden’s performance in his debate with Trump and like the U.S. Republicans after Trump’s loss in 2020. In both parties, a small group of top leaders and top donors made all the key decisions and then organized the political theater to ratify those decisions. Even surprises like Harris replacing Biden are temporary departures from resuming politics as usual.

However, unlike Trump, the others missed opportunities to identify with an already organized mass base of angry people. Trump stumbled into that identification by saying loudly and crudely what traditional politicians treated as publicly unspeakable about immigrants, women, NATO, and traditional political taboos. That set the tone for Trump then doubling down by insisting he had won the 2020 election but had been cheated out of it. The mass anger of populations feeling victimized in their workaday lives found a spokesperson loudly claiming parallel victimizations. Trump and base grasped that together they might victimize their victimizers.

Whether or not they can politically exploit voters’ anger, no mainstream leader in the collective West, including Trump, seems actually to “understand” it. They mostly see only as far as what they can plausibly blame on their opponents in the next election. Biden blamed Trump for a “bad” economy in 2020, while Trump reversed the same blame over the last year and will shortly adjust to blaming Harris. Presidential opponents blame the other for the “immigration crisis,” for inadequately protecting U.S. industry from Chinese competition, government budget deficits, and job exports.

No mainstream leader “understands” (or dares to hint or suggest) that mass anger these days might be something more and different from any collection of specific complaints and demands (about guns, abortion, taxes, and wars). Even the demagogues who like to speak about “culture wars” dare not ask why such “wars” are hot now. Angry “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) folks are notably vague and poorly informed as their critics enjoy exposing. Rarely do those critics offer persuasive alternative explanations for MAGA anger (explanations that are neither vague nor poorly informed).

“JWICS Biosurveillance ... Do You Have an NDA? If Not, You Can Fry All Day. - Sabrina Wallace

AUGMENTED HUMANS ARE HERE. GET USED TO IT”

https://forbiddennews.substack.com/p/jwics-biosurveillance-do-you-have?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=1658626&post_id=147697535&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=y5fd4&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

by Forbidden News

When I watch Sabrina Wallace, it feels like an encounter with the vaunted Breakaway Civilization. I feel like the first people who read the Varo Edition of the Morris K Jessup book, 'The Case for the UFO: Unidentified Flying Objects' in the mid-1950s, in which the margins of the book were full of annotations containing very high-tech jargon familiar to very few people at that time, that evinced insider knowledge of advanced technologies, of "extraterretrial races" and eyewitness accounts of the mysterious Philadelphia Experiment, which, it just so happens celebrated its 81st anniversary, a few days ago on August 12th.

What I mean by this is that, for a generalist, like me, who knows a little about a lot, I can kind-of get what Sabrina's talking about and I can find websites describing the exact dystopian technologies that she describes about Augmented Humans, that merge man with machines – but what's unsettling about it is that this is not something being planned for the future.

Elon Musk's Neuralink is out in the open and such human augmentation programs have been going on for decades and even the mainstream science gatekeeper, Popular Mechanics recently discussed the inevitability of corporations using human bodies (actually, their biofields) to help power their new 6G telecommunications systems.

Sabrina claims to have been experimented on for Human Augmentation as a child at the Menninger Foundation, where she was implanted with "John von Neumann architecture"; that is, a body-machine interface connected to quantum databases belonging to IBM in computers located underground, more for cooling purposes than for anything else, as she explained.

Tore Maras also speaks of being technologically "enhanced" by the military and to also have access to a quantum computer. Are these two women the children of the same Black Project? I believe the two are both around 45 years old, which is around the same age as the kids would be today, who I interviewed for my first book, back in the late '90s, which was about the Philadelphia Experiment and the Montauk Project. They told me similar (and even more bizarre) stories.

“I’ve never really met anyone else like her, she’s incredibly goofy,” said friend Hannah Trautner.

Trautner said Giegold would do anything to make people laugh and inevitably become her friend.

Those closest to Maddie say she loved cats, trail running, sunflowers, but maybe most of all:

“Oh, she loved ice cream,” said Trautner.

The 32-year-old spent the past few years as Chief Resident at Community Regional Medical Center through its partnership with UCSF Fresno.

“She was really excited to get to do a lot of things, and she was really excited for this next chapter, and I felt that she and her family were really robbed of that,” said Trautner.

Through their grief, Maddie’s family and friends filled the hallways of CRMC Sunday for an honor walk celebrating her final act of service with a mountain of sunflowers.

Hundreds more watched the honor walk over Zoom.

“She was able to donate her liver and her kidneys to save some other people’s ‘Maddies’ and that’s the thing that gives me peace, that she was able to give other families a gift and I know that would make her so happy,” said Trautner.

While Hannah jokes Maddie would be loving all this attention, she says what her friend really loved was being able to bring people together.

The overwhelming love for Maddie on full display in the GoFundMe page created to help her husband and family. It raised more than $100,000 in just four days.

My Take…
