Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,

We continue our presentation of Anglophone essays and articles reflecting on current events in this tumultuous period of our history, when the centuries-old system of private capitalist accumulation is reaching its apparent end, or at least undergoing significant modifications. There simply exists no map to indicate the long-term direction of this development, and the only reliable guide is to take into consideration the historic contradictions that have brought us to this point of social upheaval.

The 24+ items below provide insights into the nature of this manufactured chaos and the possible outcomes, at least in the short-term, as ideological collapses are occurring --right and left-- due to inherent contradictions imbedded in the material realities which we are facing now.

The current orgies of violence and human rights violations that are being reported around world speak to the desperateness of the fossilized ideologies in defense of capital accumulation that claims to be “driving an expansionist economy to infinite prosperity.” The morbid prospect of the end of this system of private ownership of wealth and of endless self-enrichment has penetrated the thinking of ruling-class actors, and has resulted in no small amount of irrational behavior and desperateness on their part. The extreme actions in an attempt to secure submission to “their” rule are self-defeating: while “they” seek to acquire more of the same, “we” want a new world which is securely based on principles of justice, equality, and self-determination.

The air is filled with dust, so thick you can barely see ahead. The deafening noise of gunfire rises above all else. People run towards the aid lorries, which appear minuscule amid the frenzy surrounding them.

The Zikim, Netzarim and Morag “aid corridors” have become Israel’s psychological laboratories for collective human experimentation.

Within this framework, logic collapses, personal values disintegrate, and human beings are reshaped - but only after being psychologically dismantled.

An Israeli tank climbs a sandy ridge overlooking a flat open area. Beyond it lies another sandy mound, used by civilians as a last refuge from the relentless, indiscriminate gunfire that only intensifies as the aid lorries begin to move away from the military vehicles.

In that moment, the final thread connecting a person to their own sense of self snaps. Natural human responses shut down. The human being becomes something else; something unfamiliar. Crowds surge forward. Some fall, others are killed. No one stops. It is a race against death.

Substantial and well-documented evidence indicates a catastrophic public health emergency in Gaza (appendix pp 1–5), marked by severe food insecurity and alarming levels of malnutrition-related deaths.¹ Life expectancy at birth reportedly declined by approximately 35 years in 2024.² This represents a greater collapse in longevity than that recorded during the genocide in Rwanda, where life expectancy at birth declined from age 42·9 years in 1993 to age 12·2 years in 1994.³

Palestinian children have been disproportionately affected. Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has recorded more child deaths than any other conflict zone and has the highest number of children with amputations per person in the world.⁴ The health-care system has also been systematically dismantled. Between October, 2023 and May, 2025, there were 720 documented attacks on health-care targets, including 125 health facilities, 34 hospitals, and 186 ambulances.⁵ Gaza has recorded the highest numbers of health-care worker fatalities (over 1400 deaths), UN staff deaths (295 deaths), and journalist fatalities (212 deaths) in any recent conflict zone.⁶

Starvation is being used repeatedly and relentlessly as a weapon of war.⁷ Leading human rights organisations, UN agencies, and UN Special Rapporteurs have officially recognised the genocide in Gaza.⁸ This position is also supported by a broad and distinguished group of genocide scholars.⁹ However, most public health, medical, and social science associations have either remained silent or issued vague statements—a response that contrasts sharply with their rapid and vocal support in other conflicts, such as with Ukraine.¹⁰ This pattern suggests a selectively empathic response: a tendency to express solidarity with people who are perceived as being part of a so-called in-group and neglect those classified as an out-group based on nationality, ethnicity, religion, or geopolitical alignment.¹¹

To challenge this selective silence, we issued an open letter urging professional and academic associations in the fields of health care, public health, and the social sciences to publicly recognise the genocide in Gaza and to revise their official positions accordingly (appendix pp 6–20).¹² Within days, the letter gathered over 3300 signatures, including 1300 from academics and professionals. Moreover, the initiative prompted three major public health associations—the European Public Health Alliance, the European Public Health Associations, and the World Federation of Public Health Association, who represent over 5 million health professionals globally—to issue a joint statement acknowledging the genocide.¹³

The genocide in Gaza is a defining ethical test for the global public health community, social scientists, and academic associations. Silence is not an option. As scholars and health professionals, we face a stark choice: either we uphold our collective ethical responsibility and speak out to prevent further mass violence and starvation, or we will be remembered for our selective silence and inaction during one of the most urgent moral and public health crises of our time.

Western media is finally admitting that Ukraine is lying about its official casualty figures. A recent article published by Le Monde revealed that there is ample evidence that military casualties in Ukraine are much higher than official figures indicate, given the growing demand for cemetery space for new burials.

According to Le Monde, all cemetery areas in Ukraine reserved for soldiers are already fully occupied. The overload is forcing authorities to use common cemetery space, which is normally reserved for civilians, as well as to establish various projects to expand current cemeteries and create new ones. The demand for burial space is enormous as more and more dead bodies arrive from the front lines.

“Sections reserved for soldiers are at capacity. Across the country, teams of architects have been working on memorials that reflect not only the scale of the ongoing carnage but also the evolving ideas about national identity,” the article reads.

The journalists interviewed several local Ukrainian architects involved in cemetery construction. Currently, this is one of the country’s main demands, with projects in several regions to build cemeteries exclusively for the burial of soldiers killed on the battlefield. The new cemeteries being built are truly large, with space for approximately ten thousand dead or more. This is consistent with a growing number of casualties, revealing a contradiction between this and the official data published by the Ukrainian government.

The article describes one of the projects, commenting on a cemetery being built along the highway connecting Kiev to Odessa. The project is said to be particularly sensitive, considering that the cemetery will destroy rural communities in the region, causing environmental problems such as deforestation.

“It’s a sandy track, well-hidden among the pines, off the highway connecting Kiev to Odesa in the Hatne region. (…) This is the highway exit that will serve as Ukraine’s future national military memorial cemetery. The project is enormous, highly sensitive and not just because environmental activists and residents of the small village of Markhalivka – 40 kilometers from the capital, but right at the base of the future cemetery – worry about deforestation and the loss of their rural quiet. In the village, only a new brown sign, the color used to mark national sites, marks the road that leads trucks to the site. It reads in English: ‘National Military Memorial Cemetery.’ The first section, designed to hold 10,000 graves and already laid out with broad granite paths, benches and lime trees, is due to receive its first burial this summer. But in the long term, ‘130,000 or even 160,000’ people will be laid to rest at this future burial ground, explained architect Serhi Derbin,” the text adds.

The scale of these cemeteries contrasts sharply with Kiev’s repeated claims of minimal losses, exposing a growing gap between official discourse and the physical reality of war. While government spokespeople continue to insist on controlled casualty rates, the magnitude of the planned cemeteries suggests a conflict with a much greater human cost. The death toll clearly highlights the Kiev regime’s absolute military bankruptcy. There is no way a country can maintain this level of casualties and continue to have “control” over the military situation. If casualties continue at this level, there will soon simply no longer be enough people to fight in the ranks of the neo-Nazi regime.

In comments leaked by Israel’s Channel 12 this August 16, the Israeli army’s former head of military intelligence, Aharon Haliva, called for a “new Nakba” against the Palestinians and declared, “50,000 dead in Gaza is necessary and required for future generations.”

“For everything that happened on October 7, he proclaimed, “for every person on October 7, 50 Palestinians need to die. It does not matter now if they are children.”
Haliva’s remarks offer further proof of Israel’s genocidal intent in Gaza, and provide fresh evidence in future prosecutions of the country’s military and political leadership for crimes against humanity.

According to Haliva, “After the holidays [in the Fall of 2022], we were opening a joint reorganization with [Israel’s General Security Services] Shin Bet to collect intelligence on [Al-Qassam Chief of Staff Mohammed] Deif and [Hamas Secretary Genera Yahya] Sinwar in order to kill them, because every time we prepared a plan, they moved, and you have to re-collect on them.”
In other words, Israel was planning to violate its ceasefire with Hamas and launch a major decapitation strike against its leading figures, much like the one it deployed against Iran’s military leadership this June 13, when it assassinated 8 major IRGC officials without provocation. The killings would have touched off a major war, but unlike after October 7, Hamas would have been left without any negotiating leverage, as it would have had no Israeli captives in its possession when hostilities began.
When seen in this light, Al Aqsa Flood was a preemptive strike. Sinwar and Deif almost certainly understood that Israel was plotting their assassinations as the opening blow of a punishing assault aimed at snuffing out Palestinian resistance in Gaza once. Deif had already survived four assassination attempts, losing his family, an eye and use of several limbs in the process. As Haliva acknowledged, he and Sinwar were constantly on the move to evade their would-be killers.

And so, as the sun rose on October 7, 2023, Hamas took the initiative, denying a far more powerful adversary the devastating opening move it had methodically planned.

My nephew—whom I never got to see—died shortly after getting the six shots given to all two-month-olds in the US, as dictated by the CDC.

Those six shots left the baby feverish and sluggish; then he had a nosebleed, and then died. Just as the doctors always do when such things happen, they claimed the baby’s death was just a sad coincidence. Since there was a day or two between his vaccinations and his passing, they couldn’t chalk it up to “SIDS,” it having not been “sudden”; nor did they blame it on what they call “Shaken Baby Syndrome” when circumstances seem to make that diagnosis feasible.

An ominous new peer-reviewed study has revealed that the United States suffered a staggering 1.5 million excess deaths among younger Americans who received Covid mRNA “vaccines” since the end of the pandemic.

The alarming findings show that excess mortality rates are soaring far higher among younger age groups in the United States when compared to other peer countries.

The researchers warn that the excess deaths among vaccinated Americans are twice as high as in 21 other wealthy countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, and Australia.

The 1.5 million excess deaths were recorded among people under 65 across the United States during 2022 and 2023.

The study was led by Dr. Jacob Bor, associate professor of global health and epidemiology at the Boston University School of Public Health in Massachusetts.

Researchers from City University of New York, Cambridge Health Alliance, and Harvard Medical School collaborated for the study.

The results of the peer-reviewed study were published in the prestigious JAMA medical journal.

During the study, the researchers analyzed a whopping 107 million U.S. deaths from 1980 to 2023.

They also analyzed 230 million deaths from peer nations spanning the same period.

The data shows that excess deaths skyrocketed after Covid “vaccines” were rolled out for public use in early 2021.

The most dramatic spike came shortly after the vaccines emerged, with 1.1 million excess deaths recorded in 2021.

Excess deaths refer to the number of deaths during a specific time period that exceed what would be expected based on historical averages for the same period.

It is calculated using the formula:
