Today is Armistice Day – one hundred-and-seven years ago, on November 11, 1918, the armistice was signed in a railroad car, in the Compiègne Forest near the town of Compiègne, that ended fighting on land, at sea, and in the air in World War I between the Entente and their last remaining opponent, Germany. This, as it turned out was the prelude to the political economy of WWII (and beyond) –a host of even more lucrative business ventures, causing untold millions of ordinary people to forfeit their lives.

We have witnessed the United States transform from a liberal capitalist democracy into an authoritarian capitalist plutocracy and can now see how capitalist interests have continued to follow relentlessly the laws of the political economy, but today it is without the pretext of protecting individual life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Last October, the neurology professor and his colleagues posted the results of their study online, writing that patients taking Aduhelm and Leqembi were two to nearly three times as likely to die as those treated in the clinical trials. The reaction was immediate and furious: Colleagues accused Espay of using “alarmist” language and having a financial stake in maligning the drugs. The University of Cincinnati, where Espay works, told him not to talk to the press without consulting the university’s communications department. Then, law enforcement warned him of a credible death threat against him and his family.
Amid the controversy, the publisher withdrew the article.

THE 8-STAGE MIDDLE CLASS EXTINCTION PATTERN: Stage 1 - PROSPERITY: Strong middle class emerges, single income supports family, homeownership common, real upward mobility. Stage 2 - PEAK: Middle class reaches maximum size (50-60% of population), system seems stable, belief prosperity is permanent. Stage 3 - STAGNATION: Wages stop growing despite productivity increases, all gains go to wealthy, consumer debt rises to maintain living standards. Stage 4 - ASSET INFLATION: Housing prices detach from wages, education costs explode, healthcare becomes unaffordable, things that defined middle class life become privileges of wealthy.
