Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,
A humanist ideology supports a democratic political-economy, with its theories of “voluntary association” and “negotiated contracts”.
If democratic participation is to be destroyed, the humanist ideology must be uprooted so that all human relationships obey dictates from above, and membership in associations is obligatory, and all agreements are imposed from above. Such a command economy displaces democracy. There would be no need for humanist ideology, in fact the existence of a humanist ideology would be an absurdity in a society based on the principle of “go along, get along.”
We live in an era of severe cultural impoverishment, where inherited privileges replace human rights. The skills of leadership are sorely lacking, and the art of communication has been replaced by coercive threats and menacing propaganda; conditioned reflex is replacing rational thought – and we shall pay a high price, indeed, before this transformation is complete!
The notion that “might makes right” is not new, but advanced technology has enabled this ethos to expand drastically; it has morphed into a sort of cultural hegemony, influencing the behavior of even those people whose interests it does not serve. Flase flags are made of this fabric, and most wars resonate with the belated recognition that they did not serve the interests of those who sacrificed their lives and well being to fight. The real war is behind the lines, pushing people to the front to be slaughtered. The real crime against humanity is the cynicism of the ruling class: “they get what they deserve.”
The 26+ items below reflect the thoughts of the Anglophone social media in this time of great crises, when class interests are in relentless conflict and excess deaths, which are due to reckless capitalist expansion, are rampant. Ruling-class accountability stands at an all-time low, due to technological innovations in communication and the military industries. As the concentration of wealth accumulates in the hands of fewer and fewer capitalists, ordinary people are cast aside to make room for the elitists and their army of sycophants.
We live in the Dark Ages of humanity, and only by identifying historic material contradictions will we be able to escape this vortex which has captured us. For this cultural activity, the articles and essays below may be of interest.

Every military servicemember’s oath is a pledge to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
It is not an oath to a politician. It is not an oath to a party. And it is not an oath to the police state.
Yet what happens when those same men and women are being told—by their own government—that obedience to power and loyalty to a political leader come before allegiance to the Constitution they swore to uphold?
That question isn’t hypothetical.
It is the moral line now being tested in real time, and it goes to the heart of what kind of country we are: do we live in a constitutional republic governed by the rule of law, or in a militarized police state where “legality” is whatever the person with the most power and the biggest army say it is?
The answer becomes painfully clear when you look at what our troops are being ordered to do—and what “we the people” are tacitly allowing them to be ordered to do—in the so-called name of national security.
Members of the military are now being deployed domestically to police their fellow American citizens in ways that trample the spirit, if not the letter, of the Posse Comitatus Act.
It’s legally dubious enough that the military is being used to enforce immigration crackdowns and police protests in American cities. But now they’re being tasked with killing civilians far from any declared battlefield in the absence of an imminent threat—all while being told that questioning the legality of those missions is itself a form of disloyalty.
So, which is it: obedience to the Constitution or the Commander-in-Chief?
At the center of this latest maelstrom is a report that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to “kill everybody” on a maritime vessel in the Caribbean that was suspected of transporting drugs.
According to multiple accounts, after an initial “lethal, kinetic” strike disabled the vessel and killed nine men on board, a second strike was carried out to kill two survivors clinging to the wreckage—an alleged “double tap strike” that legal experts warn could constitute murder or a war crime if the survivors no longer posed a threat.
In all, the boat was reportedly hit four times: twice to kill the eleven occupants on board and twice more to sink the boat.
Intentionally killing survivors clinging to the remains of a boat in the middle of the ocean, in the absence of an imminent threat, whether or not the U.S. is engaged in “armed conflict” with drug cartels, is unlawful.
Murder on the high seas is a crime . . . .

The Pentagon, Treasury Department, DHS, and a variety of other US government agencies have begun relying on a firm launched by former Israeli military intelligence operatives to consolidate and protect their data.
A company with deep ties to Israeli intelligence oversees cyber security across more than seventy US government agencies, including the Department of Defense and Homeland Security.
Axonius was founded by former spies in Israel’s Unit 8200 and its software, which allows an operator ‘visibility and control over all types and number of devices,’ collects and analyses the digital data of millions of US federal employees.
The stated aim of the Axonius platform is to centralize IT tools to identity and fix security breaches. As a product of Israeli intelligence, however, the scale of Axonius’s use across the US government raises serious questions.
Axonius was founded and is currently run by Israelis Dean Sysman, Ofri Shur and Avidor Bartov, who met in the 2010s while working on the same team within Israel’s Unit 8200 spy service. On his LinkedIn profile, Sysman offers few details of their work for the IDF, describing it simply as having ‘far-reaching implications.’

The public health and clinical implications of the miscalculated RDA for vitamin D are serious.
With the current recommendation of 600 IU, bone health objectives and disease and injury prevention targets will not be met. Explanation of the statistical error:
The "Average" vs. "Individual" Mistake The Institute of Medicine’s goal was to find a vitamin D dose that ensures 97.5% of individual people reach a healthy blood level (50 nmol/L). The statistical error occurred because the IOM analysed the averages of different studies rather than the data of individual participants. They looked at 10 studies and took the average blood levels achieved in those studies. They calculated a statistical range (Confidence Interval) based on those averages. They found that with 600 IU, 97.5% of the study averages would hit the target. The Problem There is much less variation between "averages" than there is between "individuals." By using the averages, the IOM accidentally "smoothed out" the data. They assumed that if the average person in a study was fine, then almost everyone was fine. The Classroom Analogy Imagine you want to ensure every student passes a test. The IOM method They looked at the average scores of 30 different classrooms. They set a curriculum so that 97.5% of classrooms would have a passing average. The Reality Even in a classroom with a passing average, there are students who fail.
The Correction:
To ensure 97.5% of students pass, you have to look at the lowest-performing students, not the class average.
The Consequence:
When the authors of this paper re-calculated the numbers using the variation of individuals (rather than study averages), they found that the current RDA of 600 IU does not cover 97.5% of the population. Instead, it only ensures that 97.5% of people reach a blood level of 26.8 nmol/L (far below the target of 50 nmol/L). To actually get 97.5% of the population to the healthy target of 50 nmol/L, the math suggests you would need a dose of 8,895 IU per day.

Conclusion Daily oral intake of vitamin D3 ranging from 5000 IU/d to 60,000 IU/d for several years was well tolerated and safe, in both our patients and staff. The mean 25OHD blood levels in our patients appear to take around 12 months to plateau on 5000 IU/d and 10,000 IU/d. “Our free press” marked the first anniversary of 9/11 with the same suffocating pathos and official lies with which they had “reported” the event itself, and which has also distinguished all the anniversaries ever since. (Trump’s evocation of the anniversary this year, tacitly devoted to the “memory” of Charlie Kirk, was outstanding for its demagogic rage, poor taste and total separation from reality, all of which I noted in a prior post.)
To hail the media coverage of that first anniversary, I hit the airwaves on KPFK as “Prof. Tucker Ellis,” a conservative pundit who ordinarily attacked the media for its disrespect of state authority, but who, on this occasion, was so moved by the lachrymose reporting of that day in 2002 (coverage that, in fact, began a few weeks earlier) that he lost his self-control. It was a remarkable performance, which I offer as a comic respite from the horror of these days . . . .
