Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,
A current *Gestalt of recent events offers the recognition of a new prominence of the world-wide growth of the military/industrial/corporate media complex. This is at the very core of our “late monopoly capitalist system,” which continues to carry out its supranational agenda of worldwide population reduction/control at the behest of oligarchs representing the international capitalist class of rulers. These oligarchs belong to a club, and you ain’t in it; but, as we shall see, a cat can look at a king . . . !
The 26+ items below offer important insights into the ecology of our late capitalist environment --the system and structure of which constitute an omnipresent trap for all humanity. Here we are offered critical analyses of today’s political economy (that thrives more than ever on war and social destruction) as well as original critiques of the political rules that govern our behavior. These accounts taken from Anglophone social media offer CEIMSA readers an opportunity to see collective consciousness in the making; to discover the formation of historic relationships to differentiate Foreground and Background, to provide important new perspectives on our collective lives within an enriched understanding of context. In this way, we may free ourselves from our alienation and better learn to appropriate from our environment that which is essential for our wellbeing, our emancipation from artificial control mechanisms under the rule of corporate interests, in contrast to our own authentic interests. By freeing ourselves from the old habits of “repressive tolerance” which have sapped our energies for too long and have fostered self-delusions largely derived from our internalization of “the Master’s Voice,” we can help define new social projects for ourselves and for our communities.
A common theme found in the diverse articles and essays below is the self-evident fact that “our emancipation must be our own work; that no one can do it for us, and we can never do it alone.”
The information provided here might offer readers a pattern to be recognized and appropriated for our own needs, enabling us to enter into a project for self-emancipation. This ultimately requires cooperation with others who have similar needs and who share a common perspective of the world (not one derived from the “Master’s Voice,” but a perspective genuinely discovered by our everyday experiences in this collective trap called, “The Corporate Capitalist 4-Profit System”).

“How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the New Normal Reich”

So the German Supreme Court has ruled on my case. Their ruling is that they will not rule on my case. They sent my attorney a letter to that effect. It literally says:
“The constitutional complaint will not be accepted for a ruling. No explanation is provided. This ruling is incontestable.”
So I am now officially a “hate criminal” in Germany. I was already pretty much a “hate criminal” in Germany, but now it’s official. This is Germany’s supreme court. There is no higher court to appeal to.
OK, sure, there’s the European Court of Human Rights, the international court of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, but it doesn’t have the power to enforce its rulings, and the German authorities and courts have made it clear that they couldn’t care less about anyone’s opinion of their paranoid and authoritarian behavior.
So I’ll be going back to Berlin District Court for sentencing.
I was originally acquitted by the Berlin District Court, but the district prosecutor wasn’t happy with that verdict, so the prosecutor appealed to the Berlin Appellate Court, which overturned my acquittal, which prompted me to appeal to the Federal Constitutional Court (i.e., the Bundesverfassungsgericht, Germany’s supreme court) which has now basically told me to go fuck myself, so now I have to go back to the court that acquitted me to be sentenced for the crime I didn’t commit.

On Sunday, Iran launched missiles towards Israel in retaliation for Israeli strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs, which Tel Aviv described as a response to recent Hezbollah fire in northern Israel. After the Iranian missile launch, Israel carried out retaliatory strikes against several cities in Iran.
Due to the rapid succession of events, some might have forgotten that even before the joint Israeli-US aggression against Iran began this past February, the Lebanese government sought ceasefire talks with Israel, which refused them.
At the time, Israel believed it had the upper hand, and it wanted to continue operating in Lebanon. Since signing a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah in November 2024, Israel has violated it more than 10,000 times, while boasting that the agreement only bound Hezbollah and left Tel Aviv free to manoeuvre.
Hezbollah’s entry into the Iran war surprised Israelis on three fronts: firstly, it debunked the Israeli assumption that Hezbollah had lost its fighting capacity and morale; secondly, it showed that Hezbollah could exact high costs from the Israeli military; and thirdly, it revealed Iran’s firm commitment to Hezbollah and Lebanon as a baseline condition for a US-Iran ceasefire.

It’s a story that allegedly takes in the Presidency of Donald Trump, the government of Israel, a former President of Honduras who was locked away for 45 years and then inexplicably pardoned, a host of his cronies and the US deep state. And the story includes a whole host of more peripheral but familiar characters like Peter Thiel, drug kingpin El Chapo, and the presidents of Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia. It’s being called Hondurasgate. It’s a pyrotechnic story that for all its contingency and allure, fits snugly into the well-worn patterns of imperialist power across Latin America. But how would we know if the allegations – presented on a website with no attribution – are actually true? Should we expect to now just live forever more in a world of endless uncertainty where we encounter claims we can neither disprove nor verify are presented to us in rapid succession? And in what sense does it matter if they are true? To discuss this rapidly developing story, its history, and to hopefully answer some of those questions, is David Adler, co-general coordinator of the Progressive International and an expert in Latin American politics.
