We are hearing more and more discussions of the need for the revolutionary overthrow of the ruling class, which has increasingly lost its legitimacy since this capitalist crisis began and has evolved for more than a decade into a grotesque caricature of itself. All the proverbial eggs are in one basket, and it’s too much to handle; the bottom is falling out; an omelet is in the making, and at this conjuncture of late monopoly capitalist evolution the class-conscious worker –the proletariat- is preparing to take over the political economy. What could go wrong?
Worker self-management movements, technological savy, and audience participation performances have long served as practical exercises for “participatory democracy” at the work place, and beyond. The unexpected is now expected, and we must prepare ourselves for the change by looking forward (despite the reactionlary use of technology by our corporate rulers) and draw important lessons from the past. The ideological bankruptcy of the ruling class is evident for all to see, as are the many contradictions innate to the international corporate capitalist system within which we are living.
The 26+ items below present descriptions and analyses of this system in imminent decay, and in many cases expose the historical dialectics which govern its demise. Our source of information is the Anglophone social media, which is giving much emphasis today on manipulations within corporate media aiming at obscuring the debacle of the capitalist ideology in service of their corporate owners.
Behind these many exposés we hear the echo of past class-conscious generations across the planet: “Power to the People!”

It’s a "stunning" level of opposition — and it’s opened up a once-in-a-generation chance to CUT the Pentagon budget and fund the programs that keep people safe.[1] We’re going all in. As crowds flock to DC to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary this summer, we’re launching a multi-pronged campaign to get our priorities back in order.
Mobilizing grassroots activists to send tens of thousands of messages to congressional offices with demands to reject $1.5T for bombs and bloodshed. Holding Hill briefings, meetings, and directly lobbying lawmakers, urging them to take up this winnable fight. Planning high-visibility ads, billboards, and supporting in-person mobilizations to force decision-makers, reporters, and visitors from across the country to reckon with the true costs of Trump’s unjustifiable Pentagon budget.
But here’s what gives us hope: there’s never been more momentum to rewrite our story. Right now, a growing coalition in Congress is challenging the assumption that the Pentagon should get whatever it asks for, or even more, while families struggle — and opportunities to flex their power are coming up fast.
Whether it’s voting on legislation like Sen. Ed Markey’s Slash the Pentagon Act, which would cut Trump’s proposed Pentagon budget in HALF, speaking out against the horrific costs of Trump’s wars during the NDAA floor votes, or derailing the upcoming Appropriations process, we’ll make each moment count.
Our job at Win Without War is to make sure lawmakers seize every chance to say NO to trillions of taxpayer dollars towards violence, Pentagon waste, and weapons contractor payouts.
While Trump uses parades, speeches, and fanfare to distract people from the consequences of his violence-first policies, we know weapons lobbyists will be working overtime behind the scenes to keep the dollars flowing. An ICE agent shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo while he was driving to work in Houston. Lorenzo was a father and a homebuilder. He was not the person federal agents claimed to be pursuing, but he still ended up dead after armed agents in unmarked vehicles surrounded his van.
ICE says Lorenzo tried to drive at an agent. The men inside the van dispute that account. They say the agents opened fire almost immediately and that no one was standing in front of the vehicle when the shots were fired. The agents were not wearing body cameras, leaving the public to rely on the word of the agency defending the shooter.
The Harris County Medical Examiner ruled Lorenzo’s death a homicide. Yet the agent who fired the fatal shot has not been arrested, ICE has not publicly identified the shooter, and federal officials have made it harder for local authorities to get the facts.
Harris County District Attorney Sean Teare cannot allow ICE to investigate itself while the agent responsible remains protected. His office must pursue this case with the same urgency it would use after any other fatal shooting.
Lorenzo’s family should not have to fight the federal government just to learn who killed him and why. They should not have to watch ICE release its own version of events while withholding the evidence needed to test that story.
The men who witnessed the shooting must also be protected and allowed to speak freely. Their account directly challenges ICE’s justification for using deadly force, and federal detention or immigration pressure cannot be allowed to silence them.
A badge does not erase criminal responsibility. ICE agents carry guns, exercise enormous power, and routinely enter communities with little public oversight. That makes outside accountability more necessary, not less.
Sean Teare now has a clear responsibility. Identify the shooter, secure the evidence, protect the witnesses, and make the arrest. Anything less tells ICE that its agents can kill someone and answer only to themselves.
Let’s demand justice for Lorenzo and accountability from ICE.

Yemen’s Houthis announced a maritime embargo of Saudi Arabia on Monday, escalating tensions with Riyadh in the Red Sea at a time when it is serving as a linchpin for global energy markets.
The Houthis' armed forces said in a statement that they had imposed "a maritime embargo against the criminal Saudi enemy, based on the equation of 'an eye for an eye', effective immediately".
Saudi Arabia condemned the announcement, saying the Houthis were trying to "deflect" attention away from their economic mismanagement and public discontent.
"The Houthi militia dragged Yemen into the regional conflict and targeted commercial ships in the Red Sea, thereby exacerbating the suffering of the Yemeni people, preventing them from traveling, and worsening the economic situation," Saudi Arabia's foreign ministry said in a statement.
The Houthis did not say how they planned to impose the embargo, but it comes as tensions with Riyadh were already rising over the status of flights to Sanaa, the capital of Yemen held by the Houthis.
