Triumph of the Will (German: Triumph des Willens) is a propaganda film made by Leni Riefenstahl. It chronicles the 1934 Nazi Party Congress in Nuremberg. The film contains excerpts from speeches given by various Nazi leaders at the Congress, including portions of speeches by Adolf Hitler, interspersed with footage of massed party members. Hitler commissioned the film and served as an unofficial executive producer; his name appears in the opening titles. The overriding theme of the film is the return of Germany as a great power, with Hitler as the True German Leader who will bring glory to the nation.
Triumph of the Will was released in 1935 and rapidly became one of the best-known examples of propaganda in film history. Riefenstahl's techniques, such as moving cameras, the use of telephoto lenses to create a distorted perspective, aerial photography, and revolutionary approach to the use of music and cinematography, have earned Triumph recognition as one of the greatest films in history.[1] Riefenstahl won several awards, not only in Germany but also in the United States, France, Sweden, and other countries. The film was popular in the Third Reich and elsewhere, and has continued to influence movies, documentaries, and commercials to this day.

It is a central axiom in Marxian thought that, by virtue of the position they occupy in the capitalist system of production, workers understand how this political economy works better than do the capitalist owners, whose main interests revolve around maximizing their own private profits. The owners of the means of production, on the other hand --including their ownership of the workers’ labor power which they buy using revenue that workers themselves have produced and ceded over to them—are enabled, by virtue of their position, to understand the workers whom they control better than the workers can understand themselves, for the lives of the latter have been significantly fragmented and reduced by the alienating routine of exploitation and by their dire dependency on the owners, all of which is necessary in order to extract a targeted surplus value from them. The lives of workers are a means to an end; the end is the private enrichment of the owners of capital. Workers stand or fall according to their productivity of profits for the owners. Their employment depends of their successful production of surplus value, which is subsequently divided into profits for the capitalist owners, income for the maintenance of the labor force, and other necessary costs of production (e.g. the raw materials, rent, transportation costs, taxes, etc.).
The owners are like children in a candy shop, always looking for more gratification; the workers understand the role they play in this theater of the grotesque: they make the system run, but what's not always apparent to them is the price they must pay to play. The more they are distracted from looking into the human sacrifice they must make, the smoother the system operates. At the end of their lives, many realize --albeit too late to matter-- that they have lived their entire lives as “wage slaves” (just one hair width away from chattel slavery and in some ways worse off), under almost complete control of the owners of the means of production, and what they have produced essentially is maximum profits for the owners and their own destruction, as well.
The production of surplus value and profits, use value, and exchange value is a system maintained at an expense to the working class, no matter what salary a worker may receive.

“Owning the weather” is a deadly serious attempt to take natural life supporting climatic cycles out of the hands of nature and into the hands of a small clique of insentient and obsessive psychopathic monsters.
Fundamental to responsible governance is the need to ensure that the country one leads has a solid food security foundation.
But by 2026, decades of neoliberal globalisation and the ‘free market’ have ruthlessly undercut the fundamental responsibility of ensuring a nation state can feed itself from its own produce – and has instead ensured the increasing vulnerability of countries to reliance on outside sources of staple foods.
The UK, being an island, is particularly vulnerable to this position. It was nearly cut off in World War Two, as Nazi submarines targeted Transatlantic shipping routes and the English Channel.
Now a Summer of drought and heat have meant that indigenous food is once again becoming a genuine concern for the country. This, after years of ignoring a regular short fall of at least 40 percent in self sustaining capabilities.
So now a long overdue wake up call is being initiated by concerned parties and government is being forced to recognise its duty to guarantee the population access to fresh quality foods.
But look more carefully how this works and you will see that it is actually supermarkets that lead the policy making, not government. It is the vast buying power of the super and hypermarket chains that control the commercial workings of the food chain.
This August UK supermarkets clubbed together to press government to introduce legally binding targets on British home grown foods. They have an eye on their profit margins – and keeping control over closest to home production ensures their continued dominance of the national market place.
That also involves maintaining contractual agreements with the largest agrichemical, mass production and ‘factory farming’ units that churn out what misleadingly passes as ‘quality’ produce on supermarket shelves.
Shockingly, 78 percent of fresh produce is now imported, with a falling proportion coming from Europe and a 55 percent increase coming from Africa.
To cap this woeful story of loss of indigenous production, some 70 percent of England’s water infrastructure is now owned by foreign enterprises.
In a recent article written for The Independent newspaper, organic farmer manager Roger Saul warns of an emerging imminent threat in a parched and overheated Britain. During July and August three quarters of England came under official drought designation, with forty five million people affected and July being the driest month on record with rainfall at only 10 per cent of average.
Like much of Europe, it’s been hot too, with frequent days where temperatures have reached into the lower and mid 30’s centigrade.
Grain harvests are down between 15 and 20 percent and vegetable harvests are equally hard hit with some up to 50 percent down on previous years. Roger Saul estimates that British arable farmers are suffering £390 million in lost revenue and vegetable farmers’ crops only surviving via access to irrigation. This constitutes an emerging pattern of recent years.
UK water companies are in critical focus for their seeming inability to manage leaks and river pollution incidences from industry and agriculture.
Government, under pressure from farmers, has failed to make funds available for the construction of on farm reservoirs to capture excess water in winter, nor is it willing to help farmers provide other features that would support improved water retention of soils.
The reticence of the British government to help farmers sort out this mess, is not new.
It reveals, increasingly starkly, what I have been writing about for years: the dire political position of the country results from the fat that London is the centre of an undiminished and historically driven determination to control and profit from global trade.
Working in tandem with the World Economic Forum, The United Nations, The World Trade Organisation, The World Health Organisation, The Bank of International Settlements, Black Rock, Tavistock, MI5/6, Mossad and of course US secret service outfits and leading bankers – to name just a few lead accomplices.
An already long since corrupted Westminster is at the hearts of the City of London global manipulation cabal. The devious undercurrent that colours Westminster political life is underscored by the existence of two parliament based Masonic Lodges to which MP’s have daily access.
The program adopted – if not invented – by the City of London is at the heart of the top down power play whose origins can be traced, since the 1950’s, from the Club of Rome through the Bilderbergers, Tavistock and further cult think-tanks and global manipulators.
Most readers will know by now, that it is this program that drives the World Economic Forum’s Green New Deal and Fourth Industrial Revolution, which includes the United Nations Agenda 2030 ‘Sustainable Development’ goals – of which Net Zero CO2 by 2045 is the ultimate imperative.
Into this odious agenda one can now add AI’s rapid replacement of a human labour force and vast water sucking government backed data centres designed specifically for full surveillance and control of the electorate (us).
Under this regime agriculture/food production is high on the list for steady eradication and subordination to laboratory created synthetic foods, insects, further DNA cellular manipulations and ‘novel’ genetic engineering.
Independent farmers represent a threat to the centralised and increasing digital control system promised by leaders of the World Economic Forum – and by proxy – all governments that signed up to its Great Reset agenda.

An official “secret” memorandum authored by Israel’s Ministry of Intelligence “is recommending the forcible and permanent transfer of the Gaza Strip’s 2.2 million Palestinian residents to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula”, namely to a refugee camp in Egyptian territory. There are indications of Israel-Egypt negotiations as well as consultations with the U.S.

During and since World War II , the United States has killed more than 40 million people in a number of countries, most of them civilians, either directly or through proxy by its puppet regimes:
· Germany–World War II: (several cities bombed by U.S. including Dresden, Nuremberg, Hamburg, Cologne); Number of people killed: 600,000 (according to Israeli official’s recent statement)
· Japan-World War II: 442,000 civilians killed by U.S. and U.K. fire bombing.
· Korean War 1950-53: Three million civilians killed by U.S. carpet bombing.
· Vietnam War (1962-1975): 3.8 million civilians killed by U.S. bombing and invasion.
· Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos (1962-1975): A total of 4.3 million people killed by U.S. in all three countries.
· Iraq War (2003): Three million Iraqis killed by U.S. invasion.
· The U.S.’ so-called “War on Terrorism” has killed up to 4.6 million people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Somalia and Pakistan according to a Brown University report.
· Pakistan 1971: Up to three million ethnic Bengalis killed by the Pakistan army (a U.S. proxy) in East Pakistan (the country’s biggest province). Due to this East Pakistan separated from Pakistan and became Bangladesh.
- The invasion of the Democratic Republic of the Congo by U.S. proxies Rwanda and Uganda beginning in 1998 has killed more than 6.9 million civilians. This genocide continues.
The above is a partial list which does not include Afghanistan, Sudan, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Indonesia, Angola, Mozambique and Latin America. Also of relevance are deaths resulting from famines and mass poverty enforced by U.S. policies globally, especially by sanctions.
Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright (who assumed this post in 1997) was asked by the CBS interviewer Leslie Stahl in 1996 about the deadly effect of U.S. sanctions on 500,000 Iraqi children. Stahl: “We have heard that half a million children have died. Is the price worth it?”
Albright replied,
“I think it is a very hard choice but the price–we think the price is worth it.”

In 1991, the Cold War ended without a shot. The Soviet leadership was asking to join the world, not fight it. Boris Yeltsin told Jeffrey Sachs to his face that Russia simply wanted to be a normal country — a market economy, at peace, cooperating with the United States. Washington said no. In this conversation, economist Jeffrey Sachs describes a document he did not see for decades. In 1991 he co-authored a Western financial stabilization package for the collapsing Soviet Union, developed with Gorbachev's chief economic adviser Grigory Yavlinsky and colleagues at Harvard and MIT. The proposal reached the White House. It was taken up at a National Security Council meeting on June 3, 1991 — and explicitly rejected. Years later, a Freedom of Information Act release put the minutes of that meeting in Sachs's hands. He reads from them here. The line that stopped him: an argument from within the administration that they already had, in effect, enough for "a good PR package," and that Gorbachev was a showman who would pressure them regardless. Weeks later came the G7 summit where Gorbachev was sent home empty-handed. Then the August coup. Then the dissolution of the USSR. Sachs argues this was not an isolated failure of imagination but the founding logic of the post-Cold War order: victory as license. He walks through the historical record he says has been quietly buried — the assurances given to Gorbachev in January and February 1990 by Hans-Dietrich Genscher, James Baker III and Helmut Kohl regarding NATO's eastward movement; the fact that Gorbachev held a veto over German reunification and chose not to use it; and Zbigniew Brzezinski's 1997 blueprint The Grand Chessboard, which described Ukraine in the cold technical language of a "geopolitical pivot" — valuable not in itself, but for what it delivers in the contest for Eurasia. He closes with an argument that reframes the entire debate: the United States today holds no chokepoints, no decisive technological monopoly, no magic formula. Whatever the frontier AI labs have, he says, China has or will have within months. And the single most valuable change available to the West costs nothing at all. Whether you accept his reading of the record or reject it, this is one of the most specific, document-anchored accounts of how 1991 became 2026 that you will hear.

The Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman continues his “series on the rise of American oligarchy” this week by discussing “the decades-long dismantling of the system of progressive taxation.” Krugman defines oligarchy “as the extreme concentration of wealth and political power in the hands of a small number of people—not the 1 percent, but the .01 percent or even the .0001 percent, the 300 billionaires who made 19 percent of all reported federal political donations in the 2024 election.” He argues that widespread tax avoidance, and accordingly the plummeting of effective tax rates, is largely responsible for giving us a system of oligarchy.
Krugman admits that where he once saw the absurd inequalities of the present day as primarily the consequences of technological change and the market economy, “looking into the math” changed his mind, and it became clear to him that “much of the rise of the modern American oligarchy has been driven by deliberate policy.” The math Krugman is focused on is the tax gap and thus the effective tax rate. The problem for Krugman’s hypothesis is that the United States was already firmly an oligarchy when the tax gap was much smaller and the effective tax rate much higher. Oligarchy is not first and foremost a product of the system of taxation, and it never has been. It is rather a product of the pre-distribution of wealth through state-created special economic privileges.
Though the American “free market” is riddled with these political privileges, they are not well understood or formally quantified. Indeed, they are all but ignored by the economics profession and popular commentary. If we’re trying to address inequalities of both wealth and power—inseparable in practice—through more progressive taxation, then we have already conceded the game, leaving the pervasive legal privileges that create the problem untouched. The mainstream conversation on politics and economics (which some of us prefer to discuss as political economy, precisely because the two are historically and materially inseparable) should work to reestablish careful distinctions between redistribution and pre-distribution.
What economists must begin is the project of formalizing the study of state-granted privilege and quantifying these special giveaways to corporations and the ultra-rich—not only tax credits and other favorable tax treatment, but intellectual property rights, land transfers and eminent domain, professional licensure and barriers to market, arbitrary limitations on civil and criminal liability, and the countless other features of corporate capitalism that have nothing to do with “market forces” or economic freedom in itself. If we began to quantify these in a serious and rigorous way, we would quickly see that capitalism is a system rife with welfare for the infinitesimal billionaire ruling class. It is a system that shifts enormous quantities of wealth upward by systematically restricting opportunities for the popular masses as it creates special prerogatives for our corporate overlords.
Today’s U.S. government is a system of arbitrary administrative rule under the permanent control of interlocking elites in the major corporations and government agencies; this system of discretion under “expert” rule-making is much easier for oligarchs to manipulate than the one contemplated by the Constitution’s three-part structure, under which the people’s representatives are charged with making law. If elected officials don’t actually make the rules or shape public policy toward a level playing field, the common good, and equality of rights under the law, then it matters little or at all who wins any given election. Oligarchy is much easier to create and maintain when it is thus insulated from popular political pressure.

There is a reason that no liberal of the nineteenth century saw their philosophy as a defense of the capitalist or the capitalist system. Free trade and equal rights were once understood explicitly as a blow against elite, organized, government-aligned economic interests.

It is one story: the slow collapse of the post-1916 Sykes-Picot order, and the return of the region's two historic great powers — Turks and Persians — to the positions they held for most of the last thousand years.

For valid reasons, Americans are becoming increasingly aware of the corruption of their government by Zionists and the Zionist lobby.
The concern that their government does not represent them, but rather the Zionist element within both the US and the Israeli governments, is squarely based upon evidence and, for the overwhelming part, is not born of antisemitism.
Zionism is a racist nationalist political movement, not a religious movement. It is purely for political reasons that the World Jewish Congress (WJC) declares Zionism to be synonymous with Judaism. It is this baseless claim that supposedly justifies accusing anyone who opposes Zionism of being antisemitic.
The idea that Zionism is a core feature of Jewish identity is nonsense. Many Jews resoundingly reject Zionism. Anti-Zionism is not, by any definition, a form of antisemitism. Regardless of the WJC’s groundless assertions.
Illustrating the absurdity of maintaining that Zionism and Jewish identity are synonymous, the WJC openly concedes that Zionism’s primary objective was defined at the First Zionist Congress, or Basel Congress, in 1869.
That objective is:
To secure for the Jewish people a publicly recognized, legally assured homeland in Palestine.
The creation and expansion of a Jewish nation state “in Palestine” is an overtly ethno-nationalist political ambition.
Underlining the separation between the Zionist state project, Judaism, and the Jewish people, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA’s) working definition of antisemitism clearly determines that “holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel” is antisemitic. Reciprocally, therefore, claiming that the state of Israel embodies the will of Jews is equally antisemitic, according to the IHRA definition.
In the UK—from the legal perspective—anti-Zionism is definitely not antisemitism. Professor David Miller has won his employment tribunal and defeated the subsequent appeal by his employer. Miller’s tribunal finding has established in UK law that anti-Zionism is a protected philisophical belief for the purposes of the 2010 Equality Act.
There are, of course, antisemitic anti-Zionists, but anti-Zionism is not antisemitic. Opposition to the political ideology of Zionism and revulsion at the horrors inflicted by the Israeli state and its international partners in pursuit of the political ideology of Zionism is not to blame all Jews.
For example, the Israeli state, heavily influenced by Zionism, has committed genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza. This observation does not imply that Jews, as a whole people, are collectively responsible for this abhorrent war crime.
From a rational perspective, genocide is obviously incomprehensible. To perpetrate a genocide, even if ordered, requires a deeply unfathomable, heinous malevolence. Burning children alive in their beds, blowing infants’ brains out, sniping pregnant women (and their unborn children), beating the elderly to death with rifle butts, and using anal rape as part of your torture regimen—then writing songs about your exploits and celebrating your depravity as if it were a virtue—are not the actions of morally defensible human beings: Jewish or otherwise.
As discussed in my recent piece for Unlimited Hangout, aside from the obscene brutality—recorded, filmed, and shown around the world—just from a statistical or even an official report perspective, the Israeli government’s genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza is blatantly obvious.
I wrote:
The Israeli government’s direct military actions, forced displacement, and blockades, combined with the total destruction of Gaza’s health care system, its water supply, and infrastructure, mean it is utterly ridiculous to describe Israel’s mass culling of the Palestinians as anything other than genocide. The International Criminal Court’s (ICC’s) issued warrant for the arrest of Benjamin Netanyahu, on suspicion of committing the crime of genocide, is valid. Though it probably won’t amount to anything.
Genocide is not war; it is terrorism. It is also a war crime and a crime against humanity. Genocide is not an act of self-preservation, and if your hate is so all-consuming that you revel in the mass slaughter of children, your mind and your soul are broken. Nothing ever justifies genocide, regardless of what you have suffered, what wrongs you attribute to your enemy, or what ideology you hold. Adherence to Zionism certainly does not legitimise genocide.
Following the October 7th, 2023, Hamas attack on Southern Israel—which the evidence suggests was an Israeli Let It Happen On Purpose (LIHOP) false flag attack—to the period ending September 2025, thanks to America’s Zionist-influenced political establishment, US taxpayers were forced to hand Israel’s genocidal military approximately $22 billion in direct military aid.
Now that Gaza has been flattened, the stomach-churning suggestion of the Trump administration and others is to build a so-called Middle East “miracle city” in Gaza, literally on the crushed bones of murdered Palestinian families. When his team decided to post a vulgar AI generated “Trump Gaza” video, the international backlash was considerable.
The proposed New Gaza isn’t remotely in Palestinian interests. Indeed, when Trump announced the New Gaza project, he suggested displacing the entire Palestinian population from Gaza to make way for AI data centres, natural gas platforms, gleaming casinos, and beachfront condos.
For its part, Hamas, which supposedly serves and protects the Palestinian people, appears more than willing to go along with the construction of New Gaza. One would expect Hamas to strongly oppose the plan. Instead, it is seemingly working hard to facilitate it. But Hamas has often served as a proxy for the US and Israeli governments, so perhaps that isn’t surprising.

After 286 days at sea, sailors and Marines aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln have finally begun shore leave in Thailand. The nuclear-powered carrier docked at Laem Chabang near Pattaya during one of its longest deployments. The ship left San Diego in November 2025 before being diverted toward the Middle East as the Iran conflict intensified. Reporting by The Guardian said some crew members were instructed not to speak publicly about conditions aboard.
