Bulletin N° 352

Subject: ROZ

May 20, 2008

Dear Friends of CEIMSA,
It is with the deepest sorrow that I share with you the news of our fallen comrade, Rozlyn Zinn. Howard contacted us yesterday announcing the death of his wife on May 14, after an extended period of illness, which we were told she accepted philosophically.

We at CEIMSA will miss the vivacious and proudly positive character with which Roz Zinn enriched us during the past several years. Her May 2003 visit to Grenoble with Howard will be remembered here for a very long time.

We know that she has left in the United States a legacy of art work and of political engagement, as well as a remarkable family who, like most of us, are committed to working collectively for a better future. We all will greatly miss her intelligence and her charm, but we know that Roz would be among the first to join us in quoting Mother Jones on this occasion: "Pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living."

To Howard, we extend, at this difficult moment, our heart-felt sympathies for his terrible loss, and a renewed solidarity in our collective struggle for what we all are aiming for: a qualitatively better world.

Sincerely,
Francis Feeley
