By all accounts
we have entered the advanced stages of the Age of Anti-Oedipus. French authors Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari’s influential book, L'Anti-Oedipe: Capitalisme et Schizophrenie (1972), has gained explanatory power with the increasingly self-destructive modalities of "development" within the capitalist system.
Discussions of
their work can now be found in a plethora of Webinars
on the Internet.
The 8 + items below should inform us at this moment of
recollection (of 1918, 11/11 @11:00 a.m.) that capitalism and militarism are twin evils that threaten
our existence. A century later, the unprecedented technological
control over our minds and bodies by a small self-appointed
elite constitutes a threat to everyone, including the "elite" themselves.
The magnitude of
this new danger is multiple times greater that the threat posed by those capitalist
interests at the start of the 20th century that deliberately initiated
the destruction/production cycle of First World War. Once again, the willful collaboration
in our mutual destruction seems to be all but guaranteed.

the liberal belief in and fear of a Trump-led fascist dictatorship and violent
coup is actually a fantasy — a longing, a desire, a craving — has long been
obvious.
The
Democrats’ own actions proved that they never believed their own melodramatic
and self-glorifying rhetoric about Trump as The New Hitler — from their leaders
joining with the GOP to increase
The Fascist Dictator’s domestic spying
powers and military
spending to their (correct) belief that the way to oust The Neo-Nazi Tyrant
was through a peaceful and lawfully conducted democratic election in which vote
totals and, if necessary, duly constituted courts would determine the next
president.
The
motives for concocting this Wagnerian fantasy about coups, dictatorship,
concentration camps and civil war are numerous. Politics is boring, and your
life unspectacular, if it’s dedicated to a goal as banal and uninspiring as
empowering a septuagenarian career-politician — the centrist-authoritarian
author of the 1994 Crime Bill, the credit card industry’s most loyal servant,
and key Iraq War advocate — along with his tough-on-crime
prosecutor-running-mate who always seems as if she just left a meeting of the
Aetna Board of Directors where massive hikes in deductibles were approved.

EN | In the night of 16-17 May 2018, Mawda, a
two-year-old girl, was shot dead by a police officer on a highway near
Mons. In a minibus she was fleeing all the violence at home with her
Kurdish family. To a safe country. To a better life. But she died alone
in an ambulance a little later. Her parents had been arrested and taken
away when she passed.
And then the lies came. That she had fallen through the window, said
the police to the ambulance drivers. Or that the refugees broke the
window with the girl's head, it sounded in a second version. When the
medical examination determined that Mawda
died from a bullet, only new lies were added. That the refugees had
also shot for instance.
We know the truth after the investigation. One bullet was fired by a
police officer and it was that bullet that killed Mawda.
At the trial that will take place in Mons on 23 and 24 November, the
officer that fired the fatal shot is on trial together with the driver
of the van and an alleged human traficker.
The officer is on trial for involuntary manslaughter. But there is
nothing involuntary about a police officer who draws his weapon,
charges the bullet, aims for a moving bus with thirty occupants and
then pulls the trigger.
We want #Justice4Mawda. That means that the police officer should be
convicted for what he actually did. This also means that all lies and
manipulations by the police and the prosecutor's office must be
exposed. And that also means that the crushing responsibility of the
Belgian government and its migration policy must be uncovered, exposed
and adressed.
Because Mawda deserves justice: the
recognition of her murder. Because Mawda is
no more, but there are so many other Mawdas. Because police violence has to stop.

était morte d'une balle, d'autres mensonges ont suivis. Que les
réfugiés avaient également tiré pare exemple.
Nous connaissons la vérité après l'enquête. Une balle a été tirée par
un policier et c'est cette balle qui a tué Mawda.
Lors du procès qui aura lieu à Mons les 23 et 24 novembre, l'officier
est jugé avec le conducteur de la camionnette et un présumé passeur de
personnes.
L'agent est jugé pour homicide involontaire. Mais il n'y a rien de
involontaire chez un policier qui tire son arme, charge la balle, vise
un bus en mouvement avec trente occupants, puis appuie sur la détente.
Nous voulons #Justice4Mawda. Cela signifie que l'agent doit être
condamné pour ce qu'il a réellement fait. Cela signifie également que
tous les mensonges et manipulations de la police et du parquet doivent
être dénoncés. Et cela signifie aussi que la responsabilité écrasante
du gouvernement belge et de sa politique migratoire doit être exposée.
Parce que Mawda mérite justice: la
reconnaissance de son meurtre. Parce que Mawda
n'est plus, mais il y a tellement d'autres Mawdas.
Parce que la violence policière doit cesser.

Intentions, U.S. Government Officials Pressed for Dimona Inspections.

Washington,
D.C., November 10, 2020 – After
Harvard professor Henry Kissinger met with top Israeli
officials in January 1965, he told U.S. diplomats at the
Embassy in Tel Aviv of his near certainty that Israel had begun
a nuclear weapons project, according to a record of the
meeting, which has recently been declassified and is published
here for the first time by the National Security Archive.
Kissinger added that Israeli scientists were “very certain that such weapons were necessary and
that they knew how to make them.”
With
rare exceptions, such as the astute Embassy Tel Aviv science
attaché, Robert Webber, officials in the Lyndon Johnson
administration believed incorrectly that the Israelis did not
have plans underway to produce plutonium for weapons.
Johnson, like his predecessor John F. Kennedy, insisted on
inspections of the Dimona complex to
verify Prime Minister Levi Eshkol’s pledge that Dimona was for peaceful purposes only.
Indeed, U.S. inspectors uncovered no evidence of weapons work
in 1964 and 1965 but believed that future regular inspections
were essential.
Today’s
publication, the latest by the Nuclear Vault project focusing
on Israel’s nuclear program, consists of 32 documents about the
Dimona inspections. One section
of the posting covers the Johnson administration’s efforts to
convince Eshkol to let Washington assure Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser of the results of the
inspections: that Dimona was a
peaceful project. Eshkol strongly objected because he wanted to
keep Nasser guessing, but Johnson believed that assurances were
necessary to keep the peace.
