Subject:  Looking for Answers in All the Wrong Places…

September 1, 2021

Grenoble, France

Dear Colleagues and Friends of CEIMSA,

Recently at a small gathering I was invited to present research I had conducted many years ago on the history of the extraordinary French anarcho-syndicalist primary school teachers movement in the early years of the Third Republic, up to the First World War. (They numbered no more than 6,000 out of a total of about 120,000 teachers in public elementary schools before the War, and their pacifist activities were recorded in newspaper articles, personal letters, diaries and memoirs, and police reports catalogued in the Paris archives.) I shared with the group at its collective late-summer picnic some of my findings from this research, and also an interesting book by Harvard Professor, Barrington Moore, Jr., Injustice: The Social Bases of Obedience and Revolt (1978), which I had come across following my research. Although Moore’s work appeared several years after my own archival research, I found that his discoveries corresponded to my own on many fronts. What follows is an excerpt from the first part of this book, in a discussion entitled “The moral authority of suffering and injustice”, in which he attempts in this cross-cultural study to explain several “mechanisms” which serve to stifle revolt.

He begins this discussion with a word of warning: “Put very bluntly, the central question will be: what must happen to human beings in order to make them submit to oppression and degradation?”

To pose such a question may seem the height of moral irresponsibility. Except for torturers and secret-police officials, who wants more of such knowledge today? There is I believe, a very good answer. Until and unless we understand why people acquiesce in such situations it is impossible to understand how they can resist or help them to resist.(p.49)

Etiquette is a form of inhibition through teaching people to know their place. Unless individuals are willing to learn, no amount or manner of teaching can be effective. Here material deprivation, originally in the form of hunger, comes into play. Modern prisoners of war who cannot resist the temptation to serve their captors for the sake of increased rations reveal the essence of the relationship. Hunger increases alertness to cues from the social environment about ways to behave that will reduce the pangs. Though there is considerable variation from one individual to another, the effect is to make people eager to learn how to please those persons in charge of the environment. When drives have been aroused, simple withdrawal from the situation becomes much more difficult. A critical rejection of the source of gratification seems almost impossible. The result is an acceptance of the social codes and standards held by those in control of the situation. It is the elementary form of co-option.

These considerations show that it is necessary to take into account cultural definitions, the ready-made pointers to danger, and formulae for coping with it that individuals acquire from the social lore and practice around them. If every human being had to figure out every situation afresh, human society would be impossible. These cultural formulae define socially acceptable suffering, and what, if anything, the individual can or should do about such suffering. In asceticism, Hindu caste, and to a lesser extent the concentration camps, it is possible to discern a general pattern of cultural explanation that stifles the impulse to do anything about suffering. The explanation produces this effect by making the suffering appear as part of the cosmic order, hence inevitable, in a sense justified. Even more significantly the form of the explanation helps to turn aggressive impulses that suffering and frustration produce against the self. This turning inward of aggression is most noticeable in the case of asceticism. But it is also true of Hindu beliefs about caste in general: failure to show respect to superiors in this life will lead to penalties in the next one. In the concentration camps the same mechanism appeared among those inmates previously conditioned to accept German law and order without critical questioning who explained their current plight as due to misunderstandings or mistakes in the way this law and order had been applied to their particular cases.

Thus the available cultural definitions of social reality limit the range of possible responses to this reality. On the basis of these three examples it is also possible to distinguish four types of social processes that serve to inhibit collective efforts to identify, reduce, or resist human causes of pain and suffering. It is hardly necessary to add that effective action against the social causes of suffering must be collective. Individual efforts are not to be dismissed, and are certainly better than no efforts at all unless they occur as the expense of the victims, as unfortunately is often the case. But individual solutions that help only a minority by definition do not change the situation.

To this sociologist the most striking set of facts to turn up in these examples is the way solidarity among an oppressed group form readily against an individual protester or protector. This social mechanism appears not only in the concentration camps but also in ordinary prisons. In the less overtly threatening form of the Hindu cast system it occurs in the fully institutionalized form of lower-caste councils who punish their own members for the infraction of caste rules. The reasons for this solidarity are clear enough: any single act of defiance runs the risk of retaliation that threatens the whole group. Thus the group’s spontaneous efforts at defense can easily and almost unavoidably serve to perpetuate and even intensify its submission.

The other three social processes are so much a part of common knowledge that few comments are necessary here. One of them is the destruction of prior social ties and habits among the sufferers to the point where individuals are left without social support from other human beings. That can happen as a result of the deliberate policy of an oppressor as in the concentration camps, or as a consequence of more diffuse social processes that bring about the disappearance of traditional ways of gaining a livelihood. Since the crucial role of a minimum of social support for any act of criticism or resistance will appear clearly in the next chapter, there is no need for further discussion here. Nor is there any need to elaborate further at this point on co-option since its essential psychological elements have just been discussed in connection with social learning. The last social process, perhaps best labeled as fragmentation, does, on the other hand, deserve some brief comment.

Fragmentation characterizes the situation of an oppressed or subordinate population whose previous historical experience has left it divided into two or more competing groups with their own distinct ways of life. Such divisions along class, ethnic, religious, and occupational lines often interfered with even minimal cooperation among the prisoners in the concentration camps. Similar forms of fragmentation have been an obstacle to wider forms of cooperation in other contexts such as ethnic divisions among industrial workers in the United States or the problems of minorities in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This kind of fragmentation is the opposite of the process of atomization just mentioned. Fragmentation generally implies the intensification of prior social bonds instead of their destruction. An inherited network of obligations and hostilities encapsulates the individual victim of misfortune or oppression to the point where it is impossible to break out and form ties with other human beings in the same plight. Too much social support, or social support unsuited to the circumstances, can render a person as ineffective –and perhaps cause as much pain – as no support at all.

All of the psychological, cultural, and social processes just reviewed work together or separately to create the sense that pain and suffering come with moral authority, indeed that these experiences are to a degree morally desirable. The experiences themselves also appear as unavoidable or even inevitable. Perhaps, therefore, the conquest of inevitability constitutes the core of the issues under consideration. If so, there has to be a conquest in the real world as well as in human emotions, perceptions, and reasoning. Though the clue seems promising, there will be obvious limits to any exploration until after our examination of the historical dimension. In the meantime we may reverse the focus of this chapter to consider the social and psychological mechanisms that human beings have used or tried to use in overcoming hopelessness in the face of adversity.(pp.78-80)

Later, in the third chapter, the author seeks to explain how the springs of moral outrage are not always successfully undone, and there exists plenty of evidence that the “rejection of suffering and oppression” has historical precedence.

. . . in this chapter we are looking for general processes that occur at the level of culture, social structure, and individual personality, as groups of people cease to take their social surroundings for granted and come to reject or actively to oppose them. The main process of cultural transformation amounts to an undermining of the prevailing system of beliefs that confers legitimacy, or at least naturalness and some degree of correspondence with ordinary expectations, upon the existing social order. In the area of social structure this is the creation of an effective political presence, some form of organization to counter organized authority, such as Third Estate, Black People, etc. As part of the new political identity, there appear new diagnoses for human miseries and new standards for their condemnation. In some cases this innovation may amount to the recognition and discovery of unhappiness, something quite different, however, form its invention. Psychologically there is the infusion of iron into the human soul to give it the power to judge and to act. The process culminates in the taking of power, or more accurately, a decisive share in power, and the eventual establishment of a new kind of society.

The process may be more or less peaceful and gradual or relatively violent and abrupt, though it has never been completely one or the other. Nor is it something that occurs at all times and in all places. I have come upon hardly any trace of it in nonliterate societies. The near absence of critical thought and action of the type just sketched is quite striking even in those anthropological monographs that penetrate well below those cultural norms about which natives tell strangers to what actually happens. Hence it is more likely that this kind of social process does not put in an appearance until mankind has reached a more complicated level of civilization. Nor does it by any means appear everywhere at that level. Until the twentieth century it was mainly a feature of what is loosely called Western civilization.(pp.81-82)

. . .

Hence one main cultural task facing any oppressed group is to undermine or explode the justification of the dominant stratum. Such criticisms may take the form of attempts to demonstrate that the dominant stratum does not perform the tasks that it claims to perform and therefore violates the specific social contract. Much more frequently they take the form that specified individuals in the dominant stratum fail to live up to the social contract. Such criticism leaves the basic functions of the dominant stratum inviolate. Only the most radical forms of criticism have raised the question whether kings, capitalists, priests, generals, bureaucrats, etc., serve any useful purpose at all.(p.84)

. . .

For any oppressed group the primary task is to overcome the moral authority of the sources of their suffering and to create a politically effective identity. For analytical purposes it is useful to distinguish three significant social and cultural aspects of this process. One is to reverse the kinds of solidarity among the oppressed that aid the oppressor. Examples of this kind of solidarity are the hostility to the ‘ball buster’ reported from American prisons and similar behavior in the concentration camps where prisoners discipline each other to carry out the will of the guards or the SS. To reverse this kind of solidarity and direct antagonism outward against a common enemy is no easy task because even the solidarity that aids the oppressor constitutes some protection for the victims. Nor do all the obstacles to collective action against the dominant groups come from the acts and policies of the authorities. In modern societies, as we shall see in Part Three, the fragmentation that arises from a complex division of labor is especially important.

The second aspect of the process is cultural rather than social: the creation of standards of condemnation for explaining and judging current sufferings. As the preceding chapter has shown, human begins can learn not only to accept but even to choose pain and suffering. If there always remains some biological substratum of resistance to painful experiences, as I strongly suspect is the case, it is nevertheless quite possible to overcome such instinctual tendencies through various forms of conditioning. As pointed out earlier, this human capacity to ignore and accept suffering is essential to human survival. Therefore any political movement against oppression has to develop a new diagnosis and remedy for existing forms of suffering, a diagnosis and remedy by which this suffering stands morally condemned. These new moral standards of condemnation constitute the core identity of any oppositional movements.

As part of this new identity based on a new perception of evil, there develops a new definition of friend and foe. In any but the most isolated society, where far-reaching social change is in any case highly improbable, the redefinition of friend and foe has to apply to neighboring and often competing societies as well. This process of redefining the foreign enemy is sufficiently difficult and important to warrant attention as a separate aspect of the creation of an effective political identity by oppositional movements. The Jacobin surge of patriotism at the time of the French Revolution and the failure of international working-class solidarity at the outbreak of the First World War come to mind as famous examples of such attempts to redefine the foreign enemy.(pp.87-88)

. . .

One general aspect of the whole process does, however, require comment before attempting to analyze what happens to individual human being. Put crudely, the issue is this: do the lower strata really give a damn about the reigning principles of legitimacy in their society? How much do they actually know or care about such matters? Obviously the answer will vary considerably from case to case. For stratified preindustrial societies, with a dominant stratum whose way of life is sharply distinct from the peasants’, life in field, village and hamlet proceeds very largely according to its own social and mental rhythms. It is very hard indeed to ascertain how such people thought and felt, though there is more information about how they actually behaved. About the lower strata in the towns before comparatively recent times we don’t know a great deal more. But from what anthropologists tell us about nonliterate societies, and what can be gleaned from historical studies, there can be hardly any doubt that the behavior of preindustrial peasants and artisans conforms to some principles of social organization that can be spelled out in some reasonably satisfactory fashion. Put differently, there are principles of legitimacy. It is also reasonably plain that these have to mesh somehow with principles prevailing among the dominant strata, and that the nature of the mesh will have significant consequences for the forms and character of social discontent. Furthermore, a rigid distinction between the dominant strata and the mass of the population is by no means the universal situation in preindustrial societies. On this score eighteenth-century Russia and Japan were very different. Thus, to complete this very quick reconsideration, an attempt to gauge the significance of principles of legitimacy leads at once into issues that have to do with the social networks and relationships that link, or fail to link, dominant and subordinate groups in the population.(p.89)

. . .

[I]t seems impossible to excise the notions of moral autonomy and moral courage from our thought and vocabulary. Everyday experience shows us that some human beings have these qualities and others lack them. Therefore the best thing to do at this juncture is to try to describe these qualities very briefly. Even with only a crude sense of what one ought to look for, progress is more likely than it is from prolonged philosophical discussion of how to look.

As a more realistic way to begin I will therefore posit three distinct if related human qualities or capacities that might add up to ‘iron in the soul.’ We shall also seek whatever explanations for their existence psychologists of varying persuasions can furnish. The first quality we can still call moral courage, in the sense of a capacity to resist powerful and frightening social pressures to obey oppressive or destructive rules or commands. The second quality is the intellectual ability to recognize that the pressures and rules are in fact oppressive. This recognition can take the form of moral awakening in terms of exiting but largely suppressed standards of behavior. The third capacity, moral inventiveness, is much rarer, and I shall not have much to say about it. It is the capacity to fashion from existing cultural traditions historically new standards of condemnation for what exists. In their different ways Jesus and Martin Luther were moral innovators. Presumably this capacity can exist in some ordinary human beings to a much lesser degree.(p.91)

I mentioned at the picnic meeting last week that the First World War succeeded in depopulating the planet by approximately 20 million people (leaving another 23 million disabled), mostly young men killed, of which nearly 1.5 million were Frenchmen. The anarchosyndicalist elementary school teachers loved their students and excelled in teaching them to read, write, and to think critically. They felt no need to prepare them to kill their German confreres and to be killed obediently in an engineered conflict that could only be called “fratricide.” As Jean Jaurès publically declared before 1914: “All this was avoidable!”

International bankers and industrialists feared he was right; they were determined to prove him wrong.

The 26 + items below point to the need for a purposeful mass movement, guided by historical knowledge where the oppressive imperative of the System becomes comprehensible. In this context we can easily understand the wisdom in the British philosopher Edmund Burke’s famous dictum: "Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it."

Banksters Celebrate Fiat's 50th! . . . By Introducing CBDC Nightmare

by James Corbett

Happy Birthday, fiat currency!

What, you didn't know that the fiat dollar is 50 years old this month? At least, according to the bankster class and their media lapdogs, it is. Observe:

On 15 August, the United States marked the 50th anniversary of the birth of fiat currency, or a currency that depends on faith in the Federal Reserve and not in the gold standard. Like most 50th anniversaries, this one shows the celebrant worse for wear.

That little gem comes from an article entitled (get this), "The US Fed Can Actually Boost Equality With a Digital Currency."

Right off the bat, if the idea that the fiat dollar is indeed only 50 years old sets off your BS meter, then congratulations! Your BS meter is working. The actual story of the fiat dollar is a much longer and more complex one. The short version goes like this: the fiat dollar was not born in 1971. That was the year of the so-called "Nixon shock," when President Nixon officially severed the gold/dollar link by closing the gold window and thus preventing foreign governments from knocking on the US Treasury's door and asking it to convert their piles of dollars into stacks of gold. Even that story is a much longer and complex one (if you're interested, enjoy some light bedtime reading on De Gaulle vs. the Dollar and The London Gold Pool), but the gist is that the Nixon shock was just the final nail in the gold-backed dollar's coffin, not a magical moment in which the dollar suddenly became fiat.

Now, if only the worst piece of propaganda being flaunted by the propagandists right now were a misleading headline about the birth date of the fiat dollar, then I could just invite you to explore the links above and we could call it a day. But it's not going to be that easy, is it? No, sadly, this article contains some much more dangerous propaganda: propaganda that touts not simply the "benefits" but the inevitability of the coming central bank digital currency (CBDC). And as you should all know by now, the central bank digital currency is the birth of the cashless society control grid that the independent media have been warning about for decades now.

So, let's roll up our sleeves and deconstruct this propaganda, shall we?

What Can We Learn About Covid Tyranny From Australia And Afghanistan?

by Brandon Smith

Despotic people tend to telegraph their future actions like inexperienced fighters tend to telegraph their punches; it’s not as if the intentions of totalitarians are obscured or hard to predict. In some cases they may even believe that they can be as obvious as they wish because they assume no one will ever try to stop them. They’ve been destroying lives for so long they adopt a sense of superiority, as if they are untouchable.

In my extensive study of psychopathy I find that, unfortunately, the primary catalyst for the exploitation and victimization of large populations of people is that many of them can’t wrap their heads around the idea of an organized conspiracy of human monsters. They refuse to acknowledge the existence of the evil right in front of them, so the evil is able to go unopposed for long stretches of time. There is ALWAYS a moment, though, when psychopaths push the wrong people too far. They just can’t help it, and this is when they find themselves on the business end of a noose or the barrel of a gun.

When it comes to organizations of psychopaths, the same moment also eventually arrives, it just takes longer for the public to comes to grips with the necessity of it.

In terms of the “Great Reset” agenda, medical tyranny using covid as a rationale is clearly a key ingredient to the future objectives of the power elite. At the beginning of the pandemic lockdowns last year I made several predictions and warnings. I said that the mandates and lockdowns for most people around the world would never go away, and I called this “Wave Theory”; the use of intermittent moments of limited freedom followed by increasingly more aggressive restrictions.

This cycle is meant to condition the public to the idea that governments are “allowed” to micromanage our daily lives, that this is “normal”, that it is for our own good and that we should enjoy the short moments of liberty or normalcy they so graciously let us to have.

Take back your  “thank you for your service” and 50% off sales.

We want people to live without threats of U.S. bullets and bombs.

We remember the enormous loss of civilian life that is forgotten in today’s memorials and hidden from view in the U.S. consciousness. America has no space on its calendar to memorialize these victims.

We grieve the loss of friends and the death of veterans unable to forget the tragedies and forgive themselves.

We are ANGRY that there is a holiday that glorifies nationalism and patriotism and ignores the trauma that U.S. militarism enacts all over the globe.

We are filled with rage as we continue to watch the empty political platitudes from the two largest political parties praising soldiers and veterans as they continue to send them off to wars that line the pockets of the rich.

We are frustrated that mainstream media and popular culture glorifies U.S. militarism.

We are exhausted from nightmares of our participation and the images of ongoing trauma from a system of violence we once propped up.  We live with the wounds of our moral injuries, scabs that we can’t let heal for fear we’d recreate the injury.

On Memorial Day we don’t want to remember and we are afraid we will forget.

All we know for sure is...

Decline and Fall of the US Empire:

Lawrence Wilkerson Discusses Afghanistan Pull-Out

with Mnar Adley

Wilkerson has been highly critical of the U.S. war machine and has warned that excessive militarism is undermining democracy at home, with a bloated and powerful national security state increasingly calling the shots in Washington. “America exists today to make war. How else do we interpret 19 straight years of war and no end in sight? It’s part of who we are. It’s part of what the American Empire is,” he remarked last year.

As the national conversation on Afghanistan turns to what the country’s future holds, now that the Taliban appear to be in an unassailable position, Adley and Wilkerson have a frank discussion about the U.S. empire, war profiteers and the status of the War on Terror. What is in store for the people of Afghanistan? Will this embarrassing defeat dent U.S. imperial ambitions? And what is the next step in the War on Terror?

MintPress has been covering the Afghan disaster closely. Robert Inkalesh warns that sanctions on the Taliban will end up harming the people of Afghanistan, and might prove to be more deadly than the war itself. Alan MacLeod explored the extraordinary costs of the operation, interviewing an ex-State Department and Department of Defense official who told him he had been “living like Scarface” with tens of millions of dollars in his room. Meanwhile, veteran journalist John Pilger recounts Afghanistan’s long history as a victim of empires.

Weather Warfare: Beware the US Military’s Experiments

with Climatic Warfare

by  Prof Michel Chossudovsky

This article was first published by The Ecologist in December 2007.  It summarizes several in-depth and detailed articles written by the author on environmental modification (ENMOD) techniques for military use.

It should be noted that while the HAARP program based in Gakona, Alaska was closed down, the US Air Force which managed the HAARP project, nonetheless confirmed that ENMOD techniques for military use are slated to continue:

“We’re moving on to other ways of managing the ionosphere, which the HAARP was really designed to do,” he said. “To inject energy into the ionosphere to be able to actually control it. But that work has been completed.”

The ongoing debate on climate change including the Worldwide protest movement fails to acknowledge the role of climatic warfare, namely the deliberate manipulation of climate for military use. Similarly, the mainstream media has failed to analyze the military dimensions of climate change.

A recent Associated Press (AP) “report” entitled “The superspreaders behind top COVID-19 conspiracy theories”,  directed against several authors and independent media including Global Research describes Michel Chossudovsky as “a professor emeritus of economics … and a conspiracy theorist who has argued the U.S. military can control the weather”. (emphasis added)

My response: “do you home work”. Sloppy journalism on this and other issues (including Covid).

There is a vast literature on weather modification for military use. The US Military can control the weather. And that is not a conspiracy theory.

I refer the distinguished AP journalists to consult the US Air Force document entitled “Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025

Screen Shot from the Report submitted to Air Force 2025

2021 Weather Conditions Raise Questions

In 2021, extreme weather conditions have affected the entire planet. Massive floods in China, Russia, Germany and Turkey.  Forest fires and extreme heat waves in British Columbia. Severe droughts in California which threaten agriculture. Snowstorms in Brazil.

The causes must be carefully investigated. They are not attributable to CO2 Emissions.

There is however no evidence that these occurrences are the result of  “weather modification techniques” as defined by the US Air Force in “Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025

Yet at the same time, it should be be understood that advanced and sophisticated environmental modification techniques (ENMOD) are fully operational.

Michel Chossudovsky, Global Research, August 12, 2021

Rarely acknowledged in the debate on global climate change, the world’s weather can now be modified as part of a new generation of sophisticated electromagnetic weapons. Both the US and Russia have developed capabilities to manipulate the climate for military use.

Environmental modification techniques have been applied by the US military for more than half a century. US mathematician John von Neumann, in liaison with the US Department of Defense, started his research on weather modification in the late 1940s at the height of the Cold War and foresaw ‘forms of climatic warfare as yet unimagined’. During the Vietnam war, cloud-seeding techniques were used, starting in 1967 under Project Popeye, the objective of which was to prolong the monsoon season and block enemy supply routes along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The US military has developed advanced capabilities that enable it selectively to alter weather patterns. The technology, which is being perfected under the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP), is an appendage of the Strategic Defense Initiative – ‘Star Wars’. From a military standpoint, HAARP is a weapon of mass destruction, operating from the outer atmosphere and capable of destabilising agricultural and ecological systems around the world.

Weather-modification, according to the US Air Force document AF 2025 Final Report, ‘offers the war fighter a wide range of possible options to defeat or coerce an adversary’, capabilities, it says, extend to the triggering of floods, hurricanes, droughts and earthquakes:

‘Weather modification will become a part of domestic and international security and could be done unilaterally… It could have offensive and defensive applications and even be used for deterrence purposes. The ability to generate precipitation, fog and storms on earth or to modify space weather… and the production of artificial weather all are a part of an integrated set of [military] technologies.’

In 1977, an international Convention was ratified by the UN General Assembly which banned ‘military or other hostile use of environmental modification techniques having widespread, long-lasting or severe effects.’ It defined ‘environmental modification techniques’ as ‘any technique for changing –through the deliberate manipulation of natural processes – the dynamics, composition or structure of the earth, including its biota, lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere, or of outer space.’

While the substance of the 1977 Convention was reasserted in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) signed at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio, debate on weather modification for military use has become a scientific taboo.

Military analysts are mute on the subject. Meteorologists are not investigating the matter and environmentalists are focused on greenhouse gas emissions under the Kyoto Protocol. Neither is the possibility of climatic or environmental manipulations as part of a military and intelligence agenda, while tacitly acknowledged, part of the broader debate on climate change under UN auspices.

The HAARP Programme

Established in 1992, HAARP, based in Gokona, Alaska, is an array of high-powered antennas that transmit, through high-frequency radio waves, massive amounts of energy into the ionosphere (the upper layer of the atmosphere). Their construction was funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Operated jointly by the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Office of Naval Research, HAARP constitutes a system of powerful antennas capable of creating ‘controlled local modifications of the ionosphere’. According to its official website, www.haarp.alaska.edu , HAARP will be used ‘to induce a small, localized change in ionospheric temperature so physical reactions can be studied by other instruments located either at or close to the HAARP site’.

Sources on US Role in Afghanistan

During this past week, there has been an outpouring of articles – many of them critical of the President’s decision to withdraw the final increment of U.S, troops from Afghanistan and concerned about the ostensible loss of “American credibility.”

We have quickly assembled the following list of articles, either written by historians or by historically oriented writers, which approach the topic from an anti-militarist perspective.

San Diego Residents and Community Business Owners Withdraw their Consent and Confront Board of Supervisors Over Vaccine Passport Proposal

KUSI News in San Diego is reporting

August 17, 2021 | Sundance | 161 Comments

A significant push-back from the local community as citizens confront the County Board of Supervisors on proposals to mandate vaccination ID’s.

KUSI – […] “Hundreds of businesses have already signed a Business Equality Pledge and posted a Proclamation pledging not to discriminate. Citizens are also signing a petition to refuse to comply with these arbitrary and unconstitutional requirements. The rally attendees are not anti-vax, but they are simply against all medical mandates.

The community members and leaders were fired up, and to put it simply, directly called out the San Diego County Board of Supervisors for their overreaching rule, telling them to their face they have forgotten their oath to protect the constitution. (more)

Soldiers Fight Back Against Military’s Upcoming Vaccine Mandate by Filing Lawsuit Against Pentagon

by Kyle Becker

The Department of Defense will require all U.S. military troops to take the COVID-19 vaccine by September 15th. The Associated Press earlier reported on Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s memo.

The AP reported that “the deadline could be pushed up if the vaccine receives final FDA approval or infection rates continue to rise.”

“I will not hesitate to act sooner or recommend a different course to the President if l feel the need to do so. To defend this Nation, we need a healthy and ready force,” the Defense Secretary added.

An Armed Forces member refusing to take the vaccine is subject to punishment under the U.C.M.J., the AP’s report noted. The punishment for refusal to obey an order may escalate up to court martial.

“Some unvaccinated service members have suggested they’d get the shot once it’s required, but others are flatly opposed,” the report said.

Now, some of those ‘flatly opposed’ soldiers are filing a lawsuit in court against the coming military vaccination mandate. Those listed on the lawsuit as defendants are Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Health & Human Services Xavier Becerra, and Janet Woodock, Acting Commissioner of the Food & Drug Administration.

“Plaintiffs Staff Sergeant Daniel Robert, U.S. Army, and Staff Sergeant Holli Mulvihill, USMC, individually and on behalf of all other similarly situated active duty, National Guard, and Reserve servicemembers, as documented survivors of COVID-19, file this action against the Department of Defense (“DoD”), seeking a declaratory judgment that the DoD cannot force them to take a COVID-19 vaccination under existing military regulations, federal regulations, federal law, and the U.S. Constitution,” the plaintiffs’ legal complaint states.

More Young Active Duty People than COVID Did”

Dr. Lee Merritt completed an Orthopaedic Surgery Residency in the United States Navy and served 9 years as a Navy physician and surgeon where she also studied bioweapons before returning to Rochester, where she was the only woman to be appointed as the Louis A. Goldstein Fellow of Spinal Surgery.

Dr. Merritt has been in the private practice of Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgery since 1995, has served on the Board of the Arizona Medical Association, and is past president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Merritt recently addressed the American Frontline Doctors and discussed how all through 2020 there were only 20 deaths among all active duty military personnel related to COVID. However, there are now many reports of tumors and over 80 cases of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart), which has a 5-year mortality rate of around 66%, following the COVID-19 shots given to the military.

Living in the Age of Covid: “The Power of the Powerless”

by Michael Rectenwald

A specter is haunting the world: the increasing prospect of a new totalitarianism under the extended covid response. Unlike the specter of communism, or the specter of “dissent” to communist dictatorship that Václav Havel ironically identified in his groundbreaking essay “The Power of the Powerless,”[1] this specter originates from those in power and not from the revolutionary or the powerless.[2] And rather than haunting only Europe or Eastern Europe, this specter casts its long shadow across the future of all humanity, such that one wonders how one might plan, if at all, for this future.

Mixed into this spectral fear are grave doubts promoted by some about the intentions of world leaders and a medical and technocratic elite apparently bent on new lockdowns, masking, and mandatory mass vaccinations.

What’s Not Being Said About the Pfizer Coronavirus Vaccine. “Human Guinea Pigs”?

by F. William Engdhal

Bill Gates is actively financing and promoting new untested vaccines supposed to keep us at least somewhat safe from a ‘ghastly” death from the novel coronavirus and supposedly allow us to resume somewhat “normal” lives. The Pharma giant Pfizer has now announced what they claim were spectacular results in initial human tests. They use an experimental technology known as gene editing, specifically mRNA gene-editing, something never before used in vaccines. Before we rush to get jabbed in hopes of some immunity, we should know more about the radical experimental technology and its lack of precision.

The financial world went ballistic on November 9 when the pharma giant Pfizer and its German partner, BioNTech, announced in a company press release that it had developed a vaccine for Covid19 that was “90%” effective.

The controversial US head of NIAID, Tony Fauci rushed to greet the news and the EU announced it had purchased 300 million doses of the costly new vaccine. If you believe financial markets, the pandemic is all but past history.

Story at-a-glance

In the video report above, journalist Glenn Greenwald elaborates on a recent expose’1 he published in which he accuses the U.S. government of downplaying the capabilities of the Afghan security forces trained by the U.S. military.

“Using the same deceitful tactics they pioneered in Vietnam, U.S. political and military officials repeatedly misled the country about the prospects for success in Afghanistan,” Greenwald writes.2

He points out how presidents over the past 20 years have repeatedly announced victory over the Taliban and Al Qaeda and bragged about what a great job the U.S. is doing in training and fortifying the Afghan Security Forces.

Most recently, July 8, 2021, President Biden insisted a Taliban takeover was essentially impossible and that “the Afghan government and leadership … clearly have the capacity to sustain the government in place.”

A Miscalculation of Epic Proportions

When a reporter asked Biden to comment on intelligence reports warning that the Afghan government would likely collapse, Biden was quick to deny it, saying “That is not true. They did not — they didn’t — did not reach that conclusion.” He also stated that “the likelihood that there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely.” In his article, Greenwald goes on:3

“And then, in an exchange that will likely assume historic importance in terms of its sheer falsity from a presidential podium, Biden issued this decree:

Q. Mr. President, some Vietnamese veterans see echoes of their experience in this withdrawal in Afghanistan. Do you see any parallels between this withdrawal and what happened in Vietnam, with some people feeling

THE PRESIDENT: None whatsoever. Zero. What you had is — you had entire brigades breaking through the gates of our embassy — six, if I’m not mistaken.

The Taliban is not the south — the North Vietnamese army. They’re not — they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability. There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy in the — of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable.”

If you’ve watched the news over the past several days, you know those statements did not age well, as the Taliban took over the presidential palace in Kabul and U.S. embassy staff were helicoptered off the roof in a rushed evacuation4 after the security forces surrendered to the Taliban without a fight.

A Lie Repeated Does Not Make It True

July 21, 2021, General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, admitted “there’s a possibility of a complete Taliban takeover,” but still insisted that the Afghan Security Forces “have the capacity to sufficiently fight and defend their country.”

Eight years ago, in September 2013, Milley stated the Afghan Security Forces “have been very, very effective in combat against the insurgents every single day.” Secretary of State Antony Blinken has also gone on record,5 mere months ago, denouncing fears that U.S. withdrawal would deteriorate the security picture in Afghanistan, and even if it did, it would not occur anytime soon.

“None of this was true,” Greenwald writes.6 “It was always a lie, designed first to justify the U.S.’s endless occupation of that country and, then, once the U.S. was poised to withdraw, to concoct a pleasing fairy tale about why the prior twenty years were not, at best, an utter waste.

That these claims were false cannot be reasonably disputed as the world watches the Taliban take over all of Afghanistan as if the vaunted ‘Afghan national security forces’ were china dolls using paper weapons.

But how do we know that these statements made over the course of two decades were actual lies rather than just wildly wrong claims delivered with sincerity? To begin with, we have seen these tactics from U.S. officials — lying to the American public about wars to justify both their initiation and continuation — over and over.”

Greenwald goes on to review how the Vietnam and Iraq wars were both predicated on complete fabrications “disseminated by the intelligence community and endorsed by corporate media outlets,” and how political and military leaders lied about our chances of success.

It is simply inconceivable that Biden’s false statements last month about the readiness of the Afghan military and police force were anything but intentional. ~ Glenn Greenwald

The Pentagon Papers, top secret documents by military planners, were released in June 1971, proving U.S. officials were far more pessimistic about the Vietnam war than admitted publicly. A similar cache of documents relating to Afghanistan were published by The Washington Post in 2019.7 According to The Post, “U.S. officials constantly said they were making progress. They were not, and they knew it …”

Was the Afghan War Nothing but a For-Profit Scheme?

For 20 years, U.S. generals have claimed they’re making headway in training an Afghan army and national police force to defend the nation without foreign assistance.

In reality, military trainers “described the Afghan security forces as incompetent, unmotivated and rife with deserters. They also accused Afghan commanders of pocketing salaries — paid by U.S. taxpayers — for tens of thousands of ‘ghost soldiers,’” The Post wrote.8

According to The Post, documents and interviews not only contradicted public statements by U.S. presidents and military commanders, but proved such statements were intentional lies. Statistics and surveys were intentionally altered and manipulated at every turn to maintain the false appearance that progress was being made and that the effort was well worth it.

In reality, the entire Afghan venture appears to have been little more than a for-profit scheme. In a July 2021 article, independent journalist Michael Tracey interviewed a U.S. veteran of the Afghan war who participated in the training programs of Afghan police and military:9

“‘I don’t think I could overstate that this was a system just basically designed for funneling money and wasting or losing equipment,’ he said.

In sum, ‘as far as the U.S. military presence there — I just viewed it as a big money funneling operation’: an endless money pit for U.S. security contractors and Afghan warlords, all of whom knew that no real progress was being made, just sucking up as much U.S. taxpayer money as they could before the inevitable withdraw and takeover by the Taliban.”

Greenwald also points out that evidence given to him by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden showed the NSA was monitoring and recording every single cell phone call in five countries, including Afghanistan, making it highly unlikely the U.S. did not know the true state of affairs.

“There was virtually nothing that could happen in Afghanistan without the U.S. intelligence community’s knowledge. There is simply no way that they got everything so completely wrong while innocently and sincerely trying to tell Americans the truth about what was happening there,” Greenwald writes,10 adding that, in light of available facts:

“It is simply inconceivable that Biden’s false statements last month about the readiness of the Afghan military and police force were anything but intentional.”

Statistical Fraud in the FDA Vaccine Approval Process

by Josh Mitteldorf

The Pfizer vaccine is on a fast track for FDA approval, hearings possible today according to the NYTimes

. I suspect the political pressures are enormous. Still, how can approval be possible when the safety record of this vaccine is far worse than any vaccine in the past, including many that were pulled from the market?

Part of the answer is that CDC is not reporting the statistic most relevant to measuring efficacy. That is: Vaccination status of COVID patients. How many of the new infections and new deaths are in vaccinated individuals, and how many in unvaccinated? Of course, this information is known in CDC databases; it is scandalous that the numbers are not being made public. I do not know if they are being provided to FDA. Israel is more honest, and numbers from there are not encouraging.

Likewise, data about transmissibility, comparing vaccinated and unvaccinated populations, are not being reported, and were not part of the clinical trials last fall.

There are several systems for reporting vaccine reactions, including deaths, but the only one available to the public is VAERS. It is incomplete, because it relies on voluntary reporting, there is no incentive to report to VAERS, and it is a cumbersome process.

One-Third of Deaths Reported to CDC After COVID Vaccines Occurred within 48 Hours of Vaccination

We may compare reports of the COVID vaccines to past years, when there were also hundreds of millions of vaccinations, including annual flu shots and childhood vaccine schedules. The comparison is dramatic.

There were more than twice as many deaths related to the COVID vaccines this year as the sum total of all vaccine deaths in the 30-year history of VAERS.

Given this safety record, how is there any possibility of approval? Here is where the statistical fraud comes in. [I am grateful to have been alerted to this situation by Matthew Crawford]

The safety criterion they have chosen is an obscure computation called PRR for Proportional Reporting Ratio. As the name implies,  it is based on RATIOS of different event types and is utterly blind to the ABSOLUTE RATE of such events.

Cyber Brief: U.S. Biometric Devices Captured by Taliban, According to Report

Coalition partners fear data-enabled persecution as the Taliban reclaims Afghanistan

Concerns about future civil liberties and human rights violations mirror those from China's Uighur population

Washington, D.C., August 20, 2021 — As the Taliban swiftly reclaimed Afghanistan after the withdrawal of U.S. forces, reports suggest that it also seized devices that may provide access to biometric data collected from untold numbers of Afghans. According to documents reviewed by the National Security Archive’s Cyber Vault, throughout a two-decade campaign in the nation, U.S. and coalition forces had collected biometric data, including fingerprints and iris scans, from friends and foes alike.

With the seizure of Handheld Interagency Identity Detection Equipment (HIIDE) devices, previously used by U.S. and coalition forces to collect biometric data across the country and communicate with large, centralized databases, the Taliban may be able to identify and pursue former members of the fallen Afghan government or civilians who cooperated with the coalition.

While the collected documents shed light on the Department of Defense’s strategies for collecting, processing and sharing biometric data, as well as how biometric-enabled intelligence aided counterinsurgency efforts in Afghanistan, they are silent on the potential human rights crises that such programs may unwittingly cultivate.

The Cyber Vault maintains a variety of resources for experts and interested readers alike designed to identify, map out, and contextualize cybersecurity issues as they play out across all three branches of the federal government. Our Cyber Library contains more than 3,600 documents obtained through research and Freedom of Information Act requests. Visit the Cyber Vault Project.

The Vaccinated Are Getting Sick at High Rates as Scientists Are Clueless As to Why

by Timothy Alexander Guzman

Could It be a Population Reduction Plot After All?

by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

Last year once I realized that the Covid campaign was a fear campaign and not a scientific or medical campaign, I understood that the operating agenda was not a public health agenda. It became clear that there was a profit agenda and also a control agenda in which civil liberties and their legal and constitutional protections were being cast aside.

Having studied at four top universities in days gone by when education, not propaganda, was education’s purpose, I am able to comprehend most scientific reports sufficiently to understand the gist of the reports, but in the case of Covid when in doubt I rely on virologists and medical school professors to vet or correct my conclusions.

Having had famous professors including Nobel prize winners who were mocked in their earlier years by establishment opinion and having myself experienced resistance to my own innovative scholarship, I was aware that truth is often rejected until opponents are simply overwhelmed by the evidence.

For my Oxford University professor, Michael Polanyi, a physical chemist, it took a half century for his theory of chemical absorption to win over Einstein’s disapproval. In the meantime a number of his students had won the Nobel prize in science. E.P. Wigner in physics. Melvin Calvin in chemistry. His son John Polanyi in chemistry.  Michael Polanyi was the most intelligent and civilized person I have ever known. He would certainly be disheartened to see the disregard of evidence in universities and media today and by public authorities.

Experiencing the Covid Deception, I am alarmed that today evidence itself has lost its authority.  Throughout the Western World, agendas take precedence over truth.  This is most certainly the case with Covid-19.

We are living under a Covid policy that has no evidence whatsoever in its support.  Lacking any evidence for the ruling policy, suppression of the actual facts is the operating principle.  The utterly corrupt public health authorities, dumbshit ignorant politicians, and scum presstitutes repeat lies over and over, relying on constant repetition to turn the lie into truth.  The vast bulk of the world’s population, lacking the education and energy to think for itself, is satisfied to have the media tell them what to think.

Why Are We Being Deceived About COVID?

Eddie Conway: Slave labor has always been the bedrock of capitalism

with Robert Scheer

(audio, 1:00:26)

In recent episodes of Rattling the Bars, TRNN’s weekly show on the violence and victims of the prison-industrial complex, legendary Black Panther and longtime political prisoner Eddie Conway and his guests have examined the 13th Amendment, the exploitation of prisoner slave labor in the US today, and the people who are fighting to put an end to this barbaric practice for good. As a crucial follow-up to this important coverage, Conway was recently interviewed by Robert Scheer on his syndicated podcast Scheer Intelligence, which features “thoughtful and provocative conversations with ‘American Originals’—people who, through a lifetime of engagement with political issues, offer unique and often surprising perspectives on the day's most important issues.” For this week’s installment of Rattling the Bars, we are sharing the full conversation between Conway and Scheer on the TRNN podcast feed, in which they discuss the role slave labor has played in constructing the modern capitalist economy, even up to our present day. by Dr. Joseph Mercola

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Welcome everyone. Dr. Mercola, helping you take control of your health and continuing to keep you updated and informed on the COVID-19 pandemic. And in effort to do that we have Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi, who is a microbiologist in Germany. And we're connecting with them in Germany at this time. So, welcome and thank you for joining us today.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Thank you for having me.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: So, can you provide us with a little bit of your background with respect to professional training? You're a microbiologist and maybe run over some of the academic credentials and affiliations you've had and what you're doing now?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Well, I graduated from medical school in Germany. That was back in 1970. And then after a year of clinical work, I joined the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology [and Epigenetics] to learn how to do science. And I stayed there for four years as a post-doc where I began my research in immunology. I researched the complement system and was involved in identifying the magic bullet of the complement system, which causes wrongly transfused erythrocytes to [inaudible 00:01:22]. My first piece of work
was done on that. And then it went into microbiology, bacteriology and discovered that bacteria, most of them, produced similar weapons to use against us. And that's what set off my career as a microbiologist. So, I ended up chairing the department of medical, microbiology and hygiene at the University of Mainz where I stayed for 22 years until my retirement nine years ago.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Okay. Well, thank you for that. So, you have a very prestigious pedigree, the academic history. You're an MD/Ph.D. and for those who aren't familiar with it, why don't you say a few words about the Max Planck
Institute? Because it's one of the most prestigious institutes for science in the world. I believe.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Well, it used to be.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah. So, maybe tell us where it used to be when you were working and what's happened since then?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Well, the Max Planck Institute where I was, was famous because the discoverers of the so-called endotoxin, which is what leads to septic shock and death during severe infections was partly discovered there. And that's where the center of immunology was based at that time. Those were in the ‘70s. And that's why I went there. In fact, it was also the first institution in Germany where membranes of cells were analyzed to see what was going on within the membrane itself. And that's how I stumbled across the magic bullet of the complement system because I discovered that a complement, when it is
activated, shoots bullets into the membranes of your cells. And that's what kills you. Now, all of this is coming back to, is completing a whole circle in my life, because it now turns out that the coronavirus is also employing this method of using our own immune system to the path of self-destruction. And that is
what I think is one of the major paths to adverse events after vaccination.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yes, indeed. So, you're eminently scientifically qualified to comment in this area because you've spent
the majority of your professional life studying these issues. So, we're eagerly looking forward to the conclusions you've reached. I think most of your comments have been directed to the vaccine. I think that's probably a good place to start, because that seems to be the objective of this whole “plandemic” narrative is to manipulate, brainwash, cajole people into getting the vaccine.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: I agree entirely.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah. I mean, this is where we're at and we need to understand this. And I think you're providing us with an overall perspective will help many people. Now having said that, I am convinced without any shadow
of a doubt we are in the middle of one of the most effective propaganda campaigns ever engineered in the history of the human race.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: And as a result of that propaganda and brainwashing, literally half the population is essentially unable to think rationally or logically when they're presented with facts. So, we have to understand that many
people who need to hear this presented on a silver platter, will just ignore it and choose to believe it's fake or it's just not correct. So, that's okay. Because there's half of the people who aren't brainwashed and that's who we're speaking to. So, why don't you give us your perspective as to what's been happening? I've got a lot of specific questions, but I'll let you start it off by painting the broad strokes.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Well, I agree with all of what you said, and I have actually nothing to add to that. Our whole efforts, our entire efforts, my efforts of my wife, Karina Reiss and myself are currently directed at providing information about the so-called vaccination, because we believe that this vaccination agenda and
program is the greatest threat to humanity. The greatest threat that humanity has ever come up against. And it is our duty to aggressively inform people about the dangers that they are subjecting themselves and their beloved ones to by this vaccination.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Okay. That's a good place to start. And as again, I want to emphasize that you are more than eminently qualified academically to comment on this because of your decades of experience in this area. So, why don't you-

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi:
I also worked on development of vaccines.

Dr. Joseph Mercola:
Oh yeah. That's another point I wanted to bring up. You are not anti-vax. I am typically perceived as anti-vax, because I have been opposed to routine vaccinations for probably over three decades now. And I did provide vaccination immunizations in my medical practice up until about the early ‘90s, before I
began to understand or realize that there was enormous complications with them. But that is not the position you've taken. You actually are pro-vax and I suspect you've received most of your vaccinations up to date, but with this one you've turned around. So, maybe you can expand on that before you go into discussion, because I think many people will choose to paint you untruthfully as an anti-vaxxer.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: I would modify that a little bit. I certainly am pro-vax with regards to the vaccinations that work and that are meaningful. And with that, I will also say tetanus, diphtheria, yes, anytime. However, I have not been pro [to] the recommendations that have been given. So, I would never say that infants, little children, should be vaccinated against diphtheria and tetanus because they are not endangered. If you say-

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Or hepatitis B, even more insane at day one of birth.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Yes. Well, exactly. I'm not for that. I would be for tetanus and diphtheria at the right age, before they enter school, for instance, where the danger of getting aluminum poisoning has subsided. And I would never go for vaccination of infants with diphtheria, tetanus and pneumococcal, as they're doing in Germany, creating massive, thousands of poor children who suffer from aluminum intoxication. So, whereas I say I am pro-vax, I will say so only for the vaccinations that are really meaningful. And this does not pertain for instance, to influenza, to the flu. It does not pertain necessarily to shingles and it certainly does not pertain to corona.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Okay, great. So, thank you for refining that characterization of your position because I think it's important to do that. And that is a rational perspective, and it's really hard to argue against it if you're objective, from my perspective. So, thank you for refining that. So, why don't we dive into the primary
reasons for your objections to the coronavirus vaccine, which extensively, and maybe I can dive into a little bit of the historical perspective, was characterized as being 95% effective or in that range, because there was a number of different vaccine manufacturers out there, but in a sense, 95% effective.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: And that was essentially a massive statistical aberration because they conflated relative risk and absolute risk. So, the absolute risk was probably closer to 1% or 2%. Or even under 1%, I think it was under 1%.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Under 1%.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah. So, I definitely want you to dive deeper into that because you're really well trained and qualified to comment on it. And I like the fact that you're calling it immune enhancement because I think that's more accurate. Typically for those who are watching and may appreciate that, typically this is referred to as ADE or antibody-dependent enhancement, which I don't think is as good as – I like to term PIE or paradoxical because it doesn't make sense. It does the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do, immune enhancement. So, why don't you discuss what's happening? Because I think this is the crux and really forms the foundational basis for your concern. Some of the projections I've heard you stated earlier as to the outcome of what's going to happen to most of the people who've been vaccinated.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: I mean, I will start by saying something that we've also written in our book, that there are two major arms of defense against infection. One, against viral infection, one are the antibodies that, if they are present, may prevent the virus from entering the cells. These are so-called neutralizing antibodies, which the vaccination is supposed to – yes. But since the antibodies directed against respiratory viruses are not really there at the place that they are needed, which is on the surface of the airway epithelium. They are in the blood, but not at the surface of the epithelium where the virus arrives. Most respiratory
viruses will be able to enter the lung cells. And the second arm of immune defense then comes into play. And these are the lymphocytes.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi:
Now there are different types of lymphocytes and I will simplify matters by saying the important lymphocytes are the so-called killer lymphocytes that sense whenever a virus product is being produced in the cell and they will then come and destroy the cells that harbor the virus and thus is the factory closed. And people get well again. That is the mechanism how we can survive viral infections of the lung. And this happens all the time. So, the lymphocytes in contrast to the antibodies recognize many, many, many parts of the proteins. All right. So, if a virus changes a little bit, it doesn't matter, because the waste products that are recognized by the killer lymphocytes remain very similar. And that is why all of
us, and this is now known, all of us have memory lymphocytes in our lymph nodes and in our lymphoid organs that are trained to recognize these coronaviruses. And whether or not a mutant is there, it doesn't really matter, because they will recognize a mutant.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Or variants, is what they're calling [crosstalk 00:24:14].

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Or variants, the same, variants. But the variants you see, aren't really altered so much.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Right, it's pretty minor.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: It's extremely little because coronaviruses can only undergo point mutations. Meaning only one nucleotide at a time can be changed. This is the difference to flu. The flu virus can completely change its spike protein by exchanging the spike protein. One virus can exchange it's spike protein with another virus if two viruses are in the cell. This sort of shift is not possible with coronaviruses. And therefore you will never have leaps in antigenic changes either for antibodies or for T-cell killer lymphocytes. And that's why the background immunity, I don't want to talk about herd immunity, but the background immunity that evolves during the lifetime of a human being is very broad and very solid. And that's why when the virus enters the body of a 17-year-old, who has not any preexisting illness, the virus is not going to kill that man or woman.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: It cannot. We are immune. And in fact, this is the good news. There have been papers appearing in June that have collectively shown that, indeed, our immune system already knows this new virus and is already trained in combat with this virus. And this is absolutely clear and conclusive that evidence is there and anyone can go and read those papers that have shown that the response to vaccination. If you're vaccinated today, the immune system immediately responds by throwing out the antibodies that everyone wants. They are already in the treasure trove of the immune system. Plus the killer
lymphocytes that you need in case the virus gets to the lung. And that is that. In fact, because these papers have been published, we now know that the narrative that this virus is new and therefore dangerous because the immune system cannot recognize it is a lie. It's wrong.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah, it is.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Proven to be wrong. So, now we have no reason whatsoever to vaccinate. First of all – yeah.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Well, let's dive into the herd immunity because that's the crux of the issue. And I really want to focus on what are the most egregious nullifications or decimation of medical scientific truths. And that is the concept that unless you have immunity from the vaccine, you're not protected. It doesn't matter if you've received natural immunity, which is far different, far superior, infinitely more superior. Let's go into it. So, I want you, you're so qualified to go into this, this is why I wanted to discuss it. You had mentioned these antibodies that are in the blood and not on the epithelial surfaces. Well, the antibodies
are three types IgG, which is the long-term, IgM, the acute. And then you got secretory IgA. So, I'm thinking that in the natural infection you have the secretory IgA but the vaccine does not produce that, but maybe it does. So, then of course, you've got the lymphocyte too. So, why don't you expand on that a bit, just to clarify and help us understand why natural immunity is infinitely superior to a vaccine-induced immunity?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Well, the antibodies don't really, they're not enough of them. The struggle between antibodies and virus is a struggle of numbers. So, one antibody can bind one spike point and once it's bound, it's gone. So, even if you have secretory IgA out there lining the epithelium, which you do, but you have minuscule amounts of it. That's known, it's minuscule. The moment the viral load is high, they just overrun. It's that simple. So, the antibody – so the virus will always get into the lung just as the flu does, but then the killer lymphocytes will come and extinguish the fire. Now, in that process, of course, viruses may enter
the blood. When lung tissue is destroyed, virus may enter the blood, and then maybe the antibodies will play a protective role by preventing the virus from disseminating via the bloodstream to other organs.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: In fact, it is known that the coronavirus does not disseminate to other organs. It is known that the spike protein, it can dissociate away and by itself, on its own, travel to distant sites in the body. And that can also be partly suppressed by antibodies, probably. But this is not a big deal. The big deal are the lymphocytes, which are the naturally occurring cells that protect you. And of course, vaccination that is aimed primarily at creating IgG antibodies in the blood have no way of competing with natural immunity via lymphocytes, no way at all. And the very fact that the WHO (World Health Organization) has changed
the definition of herd immunity to say that [crosstalk 00:30:27] created by antibodies by vaccination is such a scandal. I'm at a loss of words to describe how ridiculous I find this all, that this is being accepted by our colleagues. I mean, your colleagues and my colleagues. How can the physicians and scientists of
the world bear to have to listen to all this nonsense?

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Just to be clear, the killer lymphocytes seem to be the champions here at providing the bulk of the immune response that's going to protect us against devastating side effects from the infection. And it's your contention that the COVID injections do not stimulate killer lymphocyte production.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: I did not say that.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Okay. Well then that's why I asked for clarification. [crosstalk 00:31:25].

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: I didn't say that. On the contrary, they will. However, this is going to be at the expense of the patients, because this is going to create horrible, adverse side effects. Now, let me just try to tell you what I think.
You see, normally this virus will stay in the lung because it's sort of captured there by the killer lymphocytes. So we have a lung infection and the lung can recuperate, can recover from this after the virus has gone. What a man is now daring to do is that he is daring to introduce a viral gene, the gene of dangerous gene into the blood, so that it gains access to sites that it would never gain access to in normal conditions. And these are two main sites. First, the lymph nodes, the lymph nodes that drain the muscles. And second, once the genes have entered the bloodstream, they will enter the cells that line the vessels, which are the endothelial cells. These are the cells that line all the vessels of our body down to the capillaries from the big to the smallest.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Can you just, I can just hold you there and just ask a quick question. The vaccine or the COVID injection jab is injected into the deltoid muscle into the arm. So, can you just walk us through how it gets from
there into the blood?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Yeah, very simple, the path that is well-known is that it drains to the lymph nodes and things that are in the lymph nodes then go into the bloodstream. In the case of these nanoparticles, however, there may be another way in, and that is the direct translocation from the muscle into the small vessels because these lipid packages [crosstalk 00:33:45] are not only so small, they have special properties of being dangerous, and what is known about side effects. This cannot be done with children because children are not in the position to understand it. Therefore, they cannot give informed consent. Therefore, they
cannot be vaccinated. If anyone does that, he should be set tomorrow before a tribunal. If grownups have been informed and want to get the shot, that's all right. But don't force anyone to get the shot. It has to be by informed consent only.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah, that's it, informed consent is virtually impossible currently because anything, any attempt to inform people of the negative consequences of the injection of this substance into your body is essentially censored. And in many cases it's banned. So, it's a very effective strategy. So, they're only getting one side. They're not getting the other side and you can't have informed consent without hearing both sides.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Yeah. Right. Correct. The parents should now step in and say, “We will not allow our children to be vaccinated.” And it is almost common knowledge among anyone who's been thinking about that. That the risks in pregnancy are bound and we believe that many stillbirths are a result of these vaccinations. Furthermore, these vaccines accumulate in the ovaries and testes, and we are horribly worried that there's going to be an impact on fertility. And this will be seen in years or decades from now. And this is potentially one of the greatest crimes, simply one of the greatest crimes imaginable.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah. It's certainly the greatest experiment in human history. It's just unequivocal. There's no doubt about it. So, the first step is if you're watching this is, if you've gotten the vaccine, you've gotten it. There's nothing you can do but you certainly don't want to get a booster. And it looks every bit is what
people were projecting. Many were projecting, actually, is they're going to come up with booster recommendations. Maybe once, twice, even three times a year you're supposed to get your booster. So, that's the last thing you want to do is get another booster injection on this. The more you get, the worse it's going to be, and the more consequences that you're going to have as a result. So, why don't you expand on that? And we can, then going to discuss another component.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Absolutely. I mean, there's nothing more to say. You see the orchestra is being told to play louder and louder and louder. The damage is going to get worse and worse and worse. In the end, I predict that we're going to see mass illnesses and deaths among the healthy people who normally would have
wonderful lives ahead of them. Yeah. It's [crosstalk 00:54:15].

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Do you have an idea of the range that you're projecting is that we might have those?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: No.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Because I mean, already, we've got, I mean, it's hard to tell because there's such a limited databases. We're recording this is close to 13,000, 500,000 adverse events. Some are projecting that a minimum of five times. That is what the actuality is, because they're just not reported this. And they were six months into this or seven months.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Yeah. So, I'm not a mathematician, but you ask a computer to do some computing and you'll come up with numbers that are so horrifying that you can't imagine that they can get through with this program.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: By then it's going to be too late. So, have you come up with any recommendations for those who've already gotten it? I mean, the primary one is don't get another one. I mean, that's the number one most important strategy, but then there's, once people become enlightened and understand that there's a risk to what they've done or forced to do for whatever reason, what is their next step aside from not getting the next one?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: The next step is that they should realize that if they contact a real infection now in autumn, they have to realize that there are good medicines to treat the infection. All right. And they should insist that they get it.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Okay. So, yes, I actually interviewed Dr. Vladimir Zelenko. And he's responsible for creating many effective protocols. So, in his contention is, is that just like you stated the time, if you're exposed to this infection at the very first sign of a symptom, you've got to jump on this. You literally have like 48 hours before it could be too late. The longer you wait the worse it's going to be.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: That sounds very dramatic, but you should do something about it as soon as possible.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Well, it's his experience. I mean, he's got pretty significant experience in this in the front lines. So, that's what he recommends because of the viral replication. Exactly what you were saying earlier, the more viral load there is, the worse the problem.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Yes. Well, okay. I don't think we have to say he said so. Yes, it's fine with me.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah, I know. And there's a wide variety of different treatments that are available and certainly the conventional ones like ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine, and quercetin and zinc.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Sure, sure, sure.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: All right, well, I think that covers most of the questions I had and I really am deeply appreciative of your lending your expertise and refining some of my understanding of the pathology that was going on, especially with respect to paradoxical immune enhancement. Do you have any other comments you'd like to make or reinforce some of the earlier ones you made?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: I think I've said everything I have to say.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Okay, good. All right. And then the final question is, you had alluded to the fact that you've written at least one book, maybe two. And I think the current one is written in German, but you did have one of the most important chapters converted to English and that's available as a free download. So, how does someone obtain a copy of that?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: You go to the publisher, Goldegg.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Can you spell that?

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Yeah, it's G-O-L-D-E-G-G.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Goldegg, G-O-L-D-E-G-G. Okay. Dot com

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Put in a Bhakdi or put in “Corona Unmasked.”

Dr. Joseph Mercola: “Corona Unmasked,” which is the title of your new book.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Of the book. Although it's in German, the title is English. All right.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: It's good.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Going there then to the left of the book, you will see a link to an English chapter.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Okay, perfect.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: That's it.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: And I just have one personal curiosity. You've been in Germany for what? Four decades.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Yeah, more.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Why don't you have a German accent and what type of accent do you have? I mean, clearly it's a very
pleasant British type of accent.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: I went to an English school and an American school in Egypt.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Oh, interesting. Okay. So, that explains it. And you didn't pick up any German accent, that's interesting. So, and you speak German fluently, I would imagine.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Yes.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well, thanks to you for all your work and efforts and people will – I look forward to reading that chapter.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: Please do.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: Yeah, I will. All right, well, thanks again. Appreciate all your help.

Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi: You're welcome and goodbye.

Dr. Joseph Mercola: All right, bye.

“Why Do Public Health Agencies Reject Natural Immunity?”

Analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola

(August 26, 2021)

Story at-a-glance.

·         According to U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, if you’ve already recovered from a bout of COVID-19, the immunity mounted by your body may not be enough to prevent reinfection with the Delta variant, so your best bet is to get the COVID shot

·         August 6, 2021, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a case control study claiming that unvaccinated people are “more than twice as likely to be reinfected with COVID-19 than those who were fully vaccinated after initially contracting the virus”

·         One of several drawbacks of this study is that it did not look at illness severity. It doesn’t tell us whether more vaccinated people were symptomatic than the unvaccinated, or vice versa

·         A far better gauge of how well the COVID jabs are working would be serious infection, hospitalization and death rates, and when we look at those, a different picture emerges

·         In Israel — where data suggest those who have received the COVID jab are 6.72 times more likely to get infected than people who have recovered from natural infection — a majority of serious cases and deaths are occurring among those injected with two doses of Pfizer’s mRNA jab

According to U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, if you’ve already recovered from a bout of COVID-19, the full-spectrum immunity mounted by your body may not be enough to prevent reinfection with the Delta variant, so your best bet is to get the COVID shot. Mid-August 2021 he told CNN:1

“… what we've understood, actually, from the studies about natural immunity, we are seeing more and more data that tells us that while you get some protection from natural infection, it's not nearly as strong as what you get from the vaccine, especially with the Delta variant, which is the hardiest and most contagious variant we've seen to date. We need all the protection that we can get. That's why the vaccines are so effective."

Data Analysis Claims Unvaccinated More Prone to Reinfection

August 6, 2021, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a case control study2,3 claiming that unvaccinated people are “more than twice as likely to be reinfected with COVID-19 than those who were fully vaccinated after initially contracting the virus.”

The study used data reported to Kentucky’s National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS) to assess SARS-CoV-2 reinfection rates in Kentucky during May through June 2021 among those who’d had confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection between March and December 2020.

The NEDSS data were then imported into a REDCap database that tracks new COVID-19 cases. A case-patient was defined as a resident with laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection in 2020 and a subsequent positive test result during May 1, 2021, through June 30, 2021.

Vaccination status was determined using data from the Kentucky Immunization Registry. Patients were considered fully vaccinated if a single dose of Johnson & Johnson or a second dose of an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) had been administered at least 14 days before reinfection. Compared to fully vaccinated residents, unvaccinated residents were 2.34 times more likely to test positive for SARS-CoV-2 reinfection.

The Obvious Flaw in CDC’s Study

The elephant in the room, however, is the absence of actual symptomatic illness. The study only looked at positive test results, and we do not know whether more vaccinated people were symptomatic than the unvaccinated, or vice versa.

As has been explained many times before, a positive test result is not the same as active infection. A person with natural immunity may be re-exposed to the virus, and traces of it may show upon testing, but their immune system has effectively killed the virus and prevented illness.

So, merely looking at positive test results is not the best way to ascertain whether the COVID jab actually provides better protection than natural immunity. And there are many reasons to suspect that it does not.

Other Shortcomings

The study authors also admit there are several other limitations to the findings, including the following:4

“First, reinfection was not confirmed through whole genome sequencing, which would be necessary to definitively prove that the reinfection was caused from a distinct virus relative to the first infection …

Second, persons who have been vaccinated are possibly less likely to get tested. Therefore, the association of reinfection and lack of vaccination might be overestimated. Third, vaccine doses administered at federal or out-of-state sites are not typically entered in KYIR, so vaccination data are possibly missing for some persons in these analyses …

Fourth, although case-patients and controls were matched based on age, sex, and date of initial infection, other unknown confounders might be present. Finally, this is a retrospective study design using data from a single state during a 2-month period; therefore, these findings cannot be used to infer causation.”

It is correct that association does not equate to causation, and we’ve been repeatedly told to dismiss Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) data for this very reason. Perhaps the same standard should be applied to this CDC investigation, as it tells us very little about the actual risk associated with reinfection.

For all we know, those with natural immunity tested positive for reinfection but had no symptoms, while vaccinated people tested positive and were actually ill. Which, in that case, would be the preferable outcome?

Hospitalization and Mortality Rates Are a Better Gauge

A far better gauge of how well the COVID jabs are working would be serious infection, hospitalization and death rates, and when we look at those, a different picture emerges.

In Israel, where vaccine uptake has been very high due to restrictions on freedom for those who don’t comply,5 data show those who have received the COVID jab are 6.72 times more likely to get infected than people who have recovered from natural infection.6,7,8

That too refers to test results, so let’s look at hospitalization rates instead. Here, we find a majority of serious cases and deaths are in fact occurring among those injected with two doses.

The following is a screenshot of graphs posted on Twitter.9 The red is unvaccinated, yellow refers to partially “vaccinated” and green fully “vaccinated” with two doses. The charts speak for themselves.

Do not be deceived by claims that unvaccinated patients make up 99% of COVID-19 deaths and 95% of COVID-related hospitalizations in the United States.10

These statistics were manufactured by looking at hospitalization and mortality data from January through June 2021 — a time frame when COVID jab rates were low. January 1, 2021, only 0.5% of the U.S. population had received a COVID shot so, clearly, unvaccinated made up the bulk of COVID-related hospitalizations last winter. By mid-April, an estimated 31% had received one or more shots,11 and as of June 30, just 46.9% were “fully vaccinated.”12

Why COVID Shot Cannot End COVID Outbreaks

Overall, it doesn’t appear as though COVID-19 gene modification injections have the ability to effectively eliminate COVID-19 outbreaks, and this makes sense, seeing how it’s mathematically impossible for them to do so.

Since the absolute risk that needs to be overcome is lower than the absolute risk reduction these injections can provide, mass vaccination simply cannot have a favorable impact, even with a vaccination rate of 100%.

The four available COVID shots in the U.S. provide an absolute risk reduction between just 0.7% and 1.3%.13,14 (Efficacy rates of 67% to 95% all refer to the relative risk reduction.) Meanwhile, the noninstitutionalized infection fatality ratio across age groups is a mere 0.26%.15

Since the absolute risk that needs to be overcome is lower than the absolute risk reduction these injections can provide, mass vaccination simply cannot have a favorable impact, even with a vaccination rate of 100%.

Don’t believe it? There’s proof. July 14, 2021, BBC News reported16 there’d been an outbreak on the British Defense aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth. Despite the entire crew being fully injected, 100 crew members tested positive. (It’s unclear whether any of them actually had symptoms.)

The recent outbreak onboard a Carnival cruise line ship is another example. All crew and passengers had presented proof of being jabbed, yet that didn’t prevent an outbreak from taking place.17

The reason is very simple. Just as we have been telling you from the beginning, the shot does not prevent you from getting infected with the virus or spreading it around. “Vaccinated” individuals have actually been shown to be just as infectious as unvaccinated people. Even if they have fewer or milder symptoms, their viral load is just as great when infected, according to the CDC.18

There’s No Control Group to Compare Against Anymore

For some reason, government leaders and health officials want a needle in every arm, and they don’t care what the side effects of the shots might be. This is evident by the fact that we now have tens of thousands of reported deaths (according to one whistleblower, 45,000 deaths have occurred within three days of injection19,20) and well over half a million injury reports following COVID “vaccination,”21 yet no action is taken to slow down or halt the campaign.

Historically, mass vaccination campaigns have been halted and drugs withdrawn after 25 to 50 deaths (depending on the product). We’re so far past that now, one wonders if there actually is a threshold at which authorities will take action to protect the public from unnecessary medical injury and death.

VAERS is tricky to maneuver, so the easiest way to get a glimpse into the current status is to go to OpenVAERS.com, where you get a simple summary breakdown of current COVID-related reports.

Equally telling is the fact that all control groups have been eliminated from the still-ongoing injection trials,22 with full support from a World Health Organization Expert Working Group23 so, in the end, we’ll have no way of really evaluating side effects.

This is the perfect way to hide the truth about these shots, and it violates the very basics of what a safety trial has always been required to have. You simply must incorporate a control group to compare the effects of the drug against in the long term, otherwise you will have no clue as to what complications have arisen.

Safety evaluations have also been intentionally undermined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which chose not to require vaccine makers to implement robust post-injection data collection and follow-up on the general public.

On top of that, the trials also do not appear to have oversight boards, which is standard practice for all human clinical trials. There’s no Data Safety Monitoring Board, no Clinical Event Committee and no Clinical Ethics Committee. How could this be?

If vaccine makers simply forgot to follow standard practices, it would mean we’re dealing with a truly staggering level of incompetence, as all COVID jab developers have made the same mistake. Which might be worse in this case? Intentional negligence or unintentional incompetence?

COVID-19 Shots Confer Narrow Immunity

Getting back to the issue of whether the COVID jab actually confers better protection against SARS-CoV-2 and its variants, this is highly unlikely seeing how the shot confers a very narrow and specific kind of protection, whereas natural immunity is broad.

When it comes to SARS-CoV-2 — which is clearly a genetically manipulated virus designed to attack your cardiovascular system and basic immune function — the spike protein is the most dangerous part and acts as a toxin in and of itself. This is why the spike protein was chosen as the antigen in these shots, but it’s also why so many are having side effects from them.

When you get a COVID shot, your body is instructed to manufacture the spike protein. In response, your body then produces antibodies against that spike protein. Those antibodies recognize only the spike protein and not other parts of the virus.

When you recover from a natural infection, your body has antibodies against all parts of the virus, so the spike protein plus four other proteins. In addition to that, you have memory T cells, which appear even more important than antibodies when it comes to battling viruses.

Does it make sense that one type of antibody would be more effective against a virus that may have mutated one or more of its proteins? Or is it more likely that having several types of antibodies plus memory T cells will offer greater protection?

If you pay attention, you will find that no one ever offers a sensible explanation as to why a single anti-spike antibody would be better than T cells and antibodies against all parts of the virus.

Natural Immunity Is Robust and Long-Lasting

Many studies have been published demonstrating that natural immunity against SARS-CoV-2 is both robust and long-lasting. For example, a May 2020 study24,25 found 70% of samples from patients who had recovered from mild cases of COVID-19 had resistance to SARS-CoV-2 on the T-cell level.

Interestingly, 40% to 60% of people who had not been exposed to SARS-CoV-2 also had resistance to the virus on the T-cell level. According to the authors, this suggests there’s “cross-reactive T cell recognition between circulating ‘common cold’ coronaviruses and SARS-CoV-2.”

A German paper26 came to a similar conclusion. Here, they found helper T cells that targeted the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein in 15 of 18 patients hospitalized with COVID-19. Yet another study,27,28,29 this one by Singaporean researchers, found common colds caused by the betacoronaviruses OC43 and HKU1 might make you more resistant to SARS-CoV-2 infection.

What’s more, they found that patients who became infected with the original SARS virus back in 2003 still had memory T cell immunity against SARS-CoV-2, despite the virus being only 80% similar. This study suggests natural immunity is likely to last decades, not months, like the COVID shot.

Unvaccinated Falsely Accused of Being ‘Disease Factories’

While mainstream media are now pushing the idea that those who refuse the COVID shot are to blame for the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants, a number of health experts have warned that the complete opposite scenario would occur — that mass injections, causing a very narrow band of antibodies, will force more rapid mutations of the virus.30

A general principle in biology, vaccinology and microbiology is that if you put living organisms like bacteria or viruses under pressure, via antibiotics or antibodies, for example, but don’t kill them off completely, you can inadvertently encourage their mutation into more virulent strains. Those that escape your immune system end up surviving and selecting mutations to ensure their further survival.

If an individual who does not have a narrow band of antibodies becomes infected, then, if mutation does occur, it’s far less likely to result in a more aggressive virus. So, while mutation can occur in both vaccinated and unvaccinated people, vaccinated individuals are actually far more likely to pressure the virus into a mutation that strengthens it and makes it more dangerous.

CDC Misrepresents Data to Push Jab on Those With Immunity

So far, the CDC has refused to change its stance on the matter. Instead, officials at the agency seem to have doubled down and actually go out of their way to misrepresent data in an effort to harass those with natural immunity to inappropriately take the jab, which is clinically unnecessary and potentially dangerous.

In a report issued by the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) December 18, 2020, the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine was said to have “consistent high efficacy” of 92% or more among persons with underlying medical conditions as well as among participants with evidence of previous SARS-CoV-2 infection.31

After looking at the Pfizer trial data, Rep. Thomas Massie — a Republican Congressman for Kentucky and an award-winning scientist — discovered that’s completely wrong. In a January 30, 2021, Full Measure report, investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson described how Massie tried, in vain, to get the CDC to correct its error. According to Massie:32,33

“There is no efficacy demonstrated in the Pfizer trial among participants with evidence of previous SARS-CoV-2 infections and actually there's no proof in the Moderna trial either … It [the CDC report] says the exact opposite of what the data says.”

After multiple phone calls, CDC deputy director Dr. Anne Schuchat finally acknowledged the error and told Massie it would be fixed. “As you note correctly, there is not sufficient analysis to show that in the subset of only the people with prior infection, there's efficacy. So, you're correct that that sentence is wrong and that we need to make a correction of it,” Schuchat said in the recorded call.

January 29, 2021, the CDC issued its supposed correction, but rather than fix the error, they simply rephrased the mistake in a different way. This was the “correction” they issued:

“Consistent high efficacy (≥92%) was observed across age, sex, race, and ethnicity categories and among persons with underlying medical conditions. Efficacy was similarly high in a secondary analysis including participants both with or without evidence of previous SARS-CoV-2 infection.”

As you can see, the “correction” still misleadingly suggests that vaccination is effective for those previously infected, even though the data showed no such thing.

I don’t know why the surgeon general insists the COVID jab offers better protection against variants than natural immunity. I don’t see how it could. The lack of rational medical explanation is suspicious, and perhaps that’s why 40% of the American population has yet to take the jab.34

Return to Kandahar – a film by Paul Jay and Nelofer Pazira

In light of the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, we are reposting Paul Jay’s and Nelofer Paziras’s documentary ‘Return to Kandahar’. Originally released in 2003, this film follows Nelofer Pazira, as she returns from Canada to Afghanistan to seek out her childhood friend Dyana. While living under vicious Taliban rule, Dyana wrote Nelofer a haunting letter that ended, “you will have to live for both of us now”. Fearing the worst, in 2002 after the fall of the Taliban government, Nelofer searches for her lost friend. Landing in Kabul 13 years after her family left Russian-occupied Afghanistan, Nelofer unravels her past and the history of her country. The epic journey takes her to Kabul, Kandahar, and Masir-e-Sharif. Incisively weaving Nelofer’s personal story with that of Afghanistan itself, Return To Kandahar shows a country once again in the grip of warlords and the U.S “war on terror”.
